Starcraft 2 isnt a Teambased game - thats the flaw in that conclusion... Im as much as many frustrated from the level of bad play you often witness, but ELO / skillbases / ladder - you name it - isnt the solution and isnt even possible here. Or will just leave the game. Which is bad for WG and, well, at some point bad for us all, im afraid. Still I agree with you on this one... just hard to find solutions, that´ll work for everyone and in all situations. Some ppl really forget this - or dont think that far. Absolutly true. Some ppl complain about the lack of skill of players in their team, but dont want to see, that they feast on the low level of skill on the opponentside. Wait. What? I guess, you answered your own question. Oh, and fixed it for you. -

Why dont you answer the question? Afraid of the answer? Now you are looking for an easy exit. I gave you even a hint - Pearl Harbour. US lost 5 Battleships, 3 others were heavy damaged. Only. 3 Destroyers and 3 Cruisers suffered damages, no loss. The fleet of the time of the attack: 8 BBs (8 hit - 5 loss) 8 Cruisers (3 hit - 0 loss) 30 (29) Destroyers (3 hit - 0 loss) See the pattern? -

Why dont you tell that to the ppl, that lost their lives on Hood, Bismarck, Royal Oak, Marat, Arizona, Oklahoma, Utah, West Virginia, Pince of Wales, Repulse, Gneisenau, Hiei, Kirishima, Roma, Scharnhorst, Musashi, Tirpitz, Yamashiro, Fuso, Kongo, Yamato or Ise? Now check the battles / operation in which they have been lost, and check, how many cruisers and destroyers have been involved - which didnt were lost. Need a hint? Check Bismarck & Pearl Harbour. Trying to be smart and using "imaginary" at the same time shows, you pretty much have no idea what you are talking about. The ships of that aera were surface ships with the option to dive for a very limited timespan. They were not submarines. Technically speaking, this also counts for Type VII and IX of the german Kriegsmarine. Type XXI, first used in 1943 with U2540, was the worlds first submarine. And now I will add a "btw": I wonder what submarine captains, that have been on board of Type VII, IX and XXI would say to my judgement - no wait, I actually know it, cuz Ive watched documentations where some of them answered that - and thats how I learned about whats a real submarine and whats not. -
What game are you playing? Im sure, its not World of Warships, cuz 90% of DDs I see dont care at all about the setup. Okinawa, 1 Gearing + CV + 2x Missouri + 2 Radar Cruiser? Hell yea, run into B full force. Whats our Missouri saying? Its a bad idea? Why? Planes will spot me? Radar ships? Never heard of. *45 sec later* WHY? WHAT? WHY ARE THEY SHOOTING ME? better smoke up....hehehehe...thats it....WAIT...WHATHOW BOOM. This. See above example from yesterday. 3 out of 4 times I activate radar for the team, often I cant even shoot myself and I know this before I activate it.

Concidering, this is like THE basic rule of DD play - its hilarious how often you see this, right? Today, 9 DDs on Okinawa. puff,puff,puff - I count 9 smoke clouds. And about a minute later a handfull DDs less. I think 1 pair even managed to torp each other out of the game. srsly?

Gratz. Actually, only yesterday I faced a Kii who was incredible tanky. He knew perfectly how to angle, how to DCP (and how to hit me :p). If only his teammates have been as skilled as him ^^. At the end of the day, its still the player that makes the decisions. The ship is only the tool. Point however stays, its often bad players that have bad builds or bring "wrong" ships to Ranked.

Armor model says no. Only the main battery shows up, nothing under it. To continue those thoughts - do we have 0 pen dmg on DDs? I cant remember that it happened to me, and I usualy pay extra attention, when hitting DDs, I think, you are on to something here ... maybe the barbettes are the mystery behind those weird pens? -

More like forty times ;) True maybe for the Dreadnought times, but certainly not from 1930 onwards. With the introduction of electric & longrange torpedos, aircraft carriers and real submarines, Battleships became nothing but sitting ducks, huge targets. Every Navy in the world understood this - but im sure, you just know better. -
So... a DD gets radared. he throws chaff. Radar is useless. You only need chaff when you get radared. So radar becomes useless. Or you need 2 ships with radar to attack one DD, just then you can catch him on cooldown. That would be radio, its also in the game. I have a better solution for you tho: Dont play higher tiers. First radar appears on T7 - occasionaly. So play T5 DDs, and you are pretty save, T4 and you dont have to worry.

Why do you have to think from one extreme to another? Who said 0 dmg from Overpens would be a solution? But if you cant see that a Overpen from a BB, which is ~1k dmg, already takes out a huge part of a DDs health - the more on the lower to mid tiers - then ... Idk? Were you the Minotaur in my game today, that couldnt hit a 80 HP Z46 over the course of 2 mins? While I gave him 13,8k with 3 salvos? I only wished, that Des Moines would have shot the minotaur first instead of me... Seriously, if you cant hit DDs, you need to train. Its vital if you want to achieve anything in this game... And when you say, you play RN CL mostly and cant hit DDs... dude... He calls his own viewers retarded so... that tells you enough. Im pretty sure we talk about the same guy ^^ -
You know... its still better then whats usualy in the box right? And if you dont like it, then dont gamble for the Supercontainer? I always pick flag or credit containers (I got lucky with credit containers once in a while, port slots, nice free XP that helped me to get Missouri faster...) and guess what? You can even get Supercontainer that way. Matter of fact, I had one this very morning. 30 days Premium - cant complain. And looking at this from another perspective: You complain, supercontainers are rare and when they come, they dont drop a premium ship (ofc, must be a good premium ship). So if 1 out of 20 containers would be a Supercontainer... and then drop Missouri - Saipan - Enterprise with a 50% chance... that would be a) boring b) stupid and c) wouldnt make sense for WG d) wouldnt make sense for us players! Within a month all matches would be consisting of those premium ships. tl;dr : Be happy, that there are containers at all. They give you stuff completly for free. There were times without them.

Hmhm two glasses of redwine & tea with rum is obviously enough for me to imagine things. Yea, if the Saipan doesnt know what he is doing. You still cant stop him from turning your lights off. And neither can all the other T5s, with the Texas probably beeing the odd exeption. -

Exactly this. Not sure, how serious @22cm is with that idea - but why would anyone select to play against CVs then, if they are not Missouri, Minotaur, Des Moines or likewise? And then all of a sudden, CVs would be underpowered. Which brings me to another point. Huge part of the problem we see, comes from division and the increased numbers of ships we have in the game. Take f.e. a Saipan, who plays in a division. He teams up with an Atlanta (had exactly this combo 2 days ago) and why not a Duke of York? The mm throws a Fiji, a Nagato and an unexperianced Ranger against this. Now, there is not only the skill gap of CVs, but also a disparity in AA-power. Its exactly what @Exocet6951 said one page earlier - the differences in AA-strenghts have become ridiculous - and it goes both ways. Its the same about the mm. A T5 CV can be against T7s - Atlanta, Gneisenau, Cleveland... thats fun. T8 vs T10? yay. And then the rounds, where a Kaga gets to have mostly T5s. Awesome. Ever tried to shoot down Saipan-fighters with AA-skilled Kirov and Def-AA activ? Yea, not gonna happen. Tried to drop a Minotaur with a T8 CV? Same answer. And it doesnt make it any better, that those effect will avarage out over the course of XX battles. The reasonable ppl, that have been discussing this very same topic for ages (you tend to see the same ppl, once you start to pay attention), have a pretty realistic view on the whole picture. And thats AA needs to change, CVs need to change and prolly CVs need to have a +/-1 mm restriction, which would be possible to fit even in the current matchmaking rules. And besides that, there are the other things about the CVs, that need to change, like manual attacks on low tiers and so on... -
Hows that? Fat, lazy and always complaining, that the chinese cruisers are playing dirty? Guess it makes sense from that perspective. No, i dont know. Tell me, how many of the 2 remaining cruisers are shooting at those 5 BBs per team? Yea. Right. No chance. You need to stop putting yourself into the victim-role.

I´d say thats a healthy self-reflection. But it has not to stay this way. And with a opinion like the following, I cant see you changing that much: Nearly all of those ships have pretty huge weaknesses. Only today I had an Atlanta spamming me in Cesare from cover, beeing stealth. You know whats his weakness? His range. I turned away, it took only a handful slavos and I was out of range. Could he follow? Sure - if he wants to die. Belfast? Whats his strenght against a BB? Its non-existent if you dont count HE - which every ship has, BBs are even more dangerous if they really want to go for it. A Belfast in smoke can be hit with a little bit of training and usualy that will confuse and insecure a Belfast player a lot. Also, your list of so-called unbalanced ships contain only Cruisers, CVs and DDs. Coincidence? What about Scharnhorst? Giuilio Cesare? And then you list Atago...? unbalanced? If that Atago is so super-powered - buy it. Take down those poor, helpless BBs with that monster. I´d like to see your results, really...

I suggest you find yourself someone to division up with. Play different classes and learn to synergize. Already a good two-man-division with the right ships has all the tools to take the initiative. Also, since you blamed teams & teamwork on the server in general. I hope you did enough self-reflection? I dont want to sound like a "git gud" guy, but... you have a better avg damage in your Kaiser then in König, Bayern, Gneisenau, Bismarck & FdG.

Sorry, but I have to say - in that case, you just became part of the problem. You gotta start each and every game fresh. Asume the best of your team. Be ready to support them as if they all are unicums. I refuse to stop playing the way I know is successful and is imo the best way to secure a win - and thats beeing offensive on the start.

People use dubloons aka cash to pay the service costs for high tier ships. Every round. There are ppl that convert dubloons to credits, to buy B-bull for Izumo. So while your question would be true for a (rather small) portion of ppl, that wouldnt need / would need it less any longer, a huge part simply doesnt qualify for it. Also - it will generate cashflow also, to offer 2 or 3 different permanent premium camos for each ship. Another thing: if they would be so concerned about too high income of credits/XP and all that comes with it, we wouldnt see daily win bonus, especially 100% and 200% ones. So I think its fair to say, they know how to balance the economy. -

What I would like to see, is the premium permanent camos beeing different. Its nice that they look different - if you are into that whole optic modding thing - but it would be cool, if they would have focus on different boni. The oneway-camos are a good example I think. Some focus on XP, others give additional Captains XP, Free XP or Credits. That could be a nice addition? So I could switch to what I see fit for in that moment. I can see your point. But on the other hand: Why worry? Its not like it will influence you in any way directly. But as I said above: They could be different. Doesnt really mean better or worse - just different. That would certainly attract me more, then just getting a new camo with the same benefits.
