Trying to go polemic doesnt help you to draw the attention away from you. Dont make this about me - just admit your initial claim is wrong. It doesnt hurt, I promise.

    Bad Destroyer (DD) PLayers

There was no way to misunderstood what you wrote. I had the exact same thing going through my mind, when I read that post, then in the answer you got. Only two options: a) You didnt understood yourself what you were writing. b) You are talking non-sense. Bad players are idiots. newbs. people, that dont know wtf they are doing. If you´d remove those from the game - thats exactly and clearly what you wrote - the remaning would turn into idiots & newbs. why? Right. They wouldnt. So your post doesnt make sense. You are talking stats. We are talking skills.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Reminds me of a Saint-Louis from yesterday. He kept annoying me (Missouri) with his long range HE-spam. He was the only guy on that side on the map left and I didnt feel like hunting him. Everytime he got a little bit too cocky, I send my backturret towards him. Since nobody else was shooting me... I could totaly ignore him. At some point he got Witherer, and I decided to give him a helping hand. So I told him in chat, that I hope he knows, that he is useless. Didnt stop him though. Was an easy win.

    High tier dd gameplay

And WG is doing a pretty good at this. I just dont understand why. Most of the other they do, I can atleast explain, when I look at it from their view (usualy boils down to $$$) but here it doesnt make sense. People these days dont understand the huge advantage your team gets, when you have spotting while the enemy doenst. I lost a game recently on Ocean with my Benson, which made me want to rip out my hair. We lost our Harugumo in min 2, since he decided it was the intelligent way to smoke up broadside in the cap (got torped). Then I constantly went to spot enemys Shima and Grozovoi, while they were supported heavily by a Minotaur (a division ofc). I tried to communicate, i marked the targets - nothing. You can imagine how many times I was able to spot them, each time taking damage myself. They werent even smart - they shot me right away so I could increase distance to go stealth but keep em spotted at the same time - still everyone was farming away at the 20km Yamato in the back. When I was down to 2k I said "eff it", left the flank to the Division and went on to farm damage. We would have actually won the game but THEN all of a sudden, when I was gone, 2 Yamatos and a Montana kept pushing into the Shima. So yea, they took torp after torp after torp, while I tried to do the same with the enemy BBs. Lucky me, I had lost 1 of my torpedo lauchers in the gunfights so you can imagine who did a better job at killing BBs - shima or me. Then I was the last man standing with my division mate in Kutuzov - who was out of smoke - against a Yamato and Montana and the Shima. At 900 points and all caps red my torps didnt cause a perma flooding on Yamato so I went dakka dakka in the open. Then the sh!t storm from my team (who couldnt communicate at all before) towards me started. People are so incredible stupid in this game. And they get encouraged to do so. Thx WG!

    High tier dd gameplay

Yea, because players were "abusing" that mechanic. Pretty much this. I refuse to play my DDs like this. Not that WG hasnt made it harder for me over the years? Before you could go with your US DD, smoke up half your fleet and go spot ahead of your smoke. I had games were I didnt fire my guns even once and tbh - it was awesome. Why? Because I did my job, I did what I was expecting, when picking a DD like Farragut: support your fleet, spot enemys and torps, capture the objectives. My answer is obvious: Yes, its the intelligent way. Its what makes you win. But the game wont reward you. If you are looking for XP, you better take a Worcester or Conqueror, stay at your max range - preferably behind an island - and spam HE all round. You will get a WR between 38~42% I think, but you will have more XP then playing your DD the way you played it here. Thats just the sad, hard reality my friend.
  10. If its so potato friendly - why do you perform so bad in it?

    [Nerf Bat] Yueyang being slaughtered

Just usual WG things. PA DDs are old, we got already 2 new lines to grind. Look at the firepower Harugumo and Daring bring in T10 DD vs DD battle and you´ll know this has nothing to do with honest balancing...

    Reasons behind "Roflstomps"

True. If the last guy (or the last 2-3) keep runing away, eventhough the match is decided for minutes already, you easily reach games of 12...15 minutes. And it actually happens. I do remember games, where I have an insane ammount of damage and stress in the first minutes, that im thinking "wow, this gonna be your new damage record" - and then you run 5 or more minutes after the last ships without dealing anymore significant damage. All these factors makes defining a "roflstomp" not so easy, I guess. btw - talking about roflstomps and the current meta: A question to the people playing Ranked Sprint 2. Have you also noticed, that those games are a perfect example of roflstomps? Much more then 12vs12 randoms imo. I´d say 2 out of 3 games Im calling "thats a loss/win" within 3 minutes of the start. And there is nothing I can do about it, just ride with it. Especially the wins I get the feeling, that these games would have gone the same way without me. I have wins with 19~30k damage but on the other hand I have gathered quite some losses with 80~100k - and at no point did it look like I could turn the game. I just had a win, where the game was over at 8:13. Now, 8x8 you´d expect the game to be a little bit shorter I think, but since the first 2 minutes are innitial engagement anyway, I´d say thats still a pretty hard stomp? And the game was easily decided by the 5-minute-mark, after they have lost 3 ships already.

    Destroyers and bad game design

Not that it matters, but: In a 1vs1 Yamato against Shima - the Yamato has not the slightest chance...
  15. Yup, those buffs are needed. Funny thing: Only a couple of days ago I made a long post in that new ship-feedback topic, asking for faster turret rotation on Myoko+clones and better performance for Atago/Takao. Although I think, these changes came way too fast to have anything to do with my post.

    Reasons behind "Roflstomps"

No. I was shooting 7,62 × 51 mm NATO, not the civilian version. Dont need to imagine - done it. Yea sure... ofc you will made up some arguments to tell to the public. Sounds so nice "We are concerned about heavy carrying of our soldiers in battle, thats why we made the bullets more lightweight" I can already see the billboard-advertisment "now -30% weight!" Thats how the business works. nope. Average Ballistic Coefficient 5.56x45mm 7.62x39mm 0.286 0.27 Fact: NATO armies have found 5,56 mm to be highly ineffective in combating Taliban in Afghanistan, due to beeing inaccurate on longranges, while 7,62 mm has no problems there. Some contries have stopped purchasing combat rifles, that use 5,56 mm ammunition for exactly that reason.

Do Destroyers need a Buff? 10% max damage the right way?

its the same effin thing as with radar: The problem is not the mechanic / the consumable - its the number of ships that carry it. Or with CVs: First thing after someone is deleted from a CV is, come to forums, open new thread, title: "CV BORKEN OP REMÖÖÖÖVEEEE IT". Cant draw the conclusion, that a) while he was dropped, 11 other guys in his team were not. or b) that he has a CV himself, who could/should help him, so look, why that didnt happen? not to mention c) if your ships has such a low AA, that you will be the prime target for the CV - stay with ships, that have AA! But hey - what can you do with a community as illiterate as this one? Most of the players cant draw the right conclusion - hell, they cant draw ANY conclusion. I will just state this here for future reference, so I can quote myself: Anyone, claiming "UH BB CAN STILL DO 15k DMG ON DD" should be keel-hauled. And yes - that includes the WG-staff who initially made the claim. Especially him.

    Bots got improved again?

I had almost one like this recently aswell. Hard carry, almost lost that one. Its true. you have to play co-op very different then PvP. Also, i noticed, many ships perform very different due to the aggressive approach of the bots. You can really get in trouble with Moskva against bots, since they will rush your flanks and punish you. In PvP, with people usualy never doing that, you can just camp yourself. Meanwhile, Minotaur is a beast in Co-op, while in PvP everyone is trying to shoot you in your smoke.

    Destroyers and bad game design

Then i´ll jump in. Interesting theory. Concidering, Worcester & Des Moines will create temporary no-fly zones when their def AA is active and attacking a Minotaur with AA-build comes at a hefty price aswell. Not sure where you have no information from, but no BB is anywhere near the dpm of those cruisers. Not sure if you knew, but a Moskva does this WAY better than Stalingrad. Hindenburg in the right hands can deal with situations like this better aswell. Also, all cruisers have the ability to angle. A Hermelin can bounce Yamato shells, just FYI. Or a little bit more realistic: Ive rushed T9/T10 cruisers in my Edinburgh, beeing angled, until they get nervous, show me broadside and try to torp me - then I just deleted them. Excuse me what? A CA is an area denial ship? If anything, a BB is an area denial tool I literally can not park or move my Cruiser freely in an area, where a BB is pointing his guns at. A BB does not care if there is 1 CA in the area. Exept for the early radar/DD support cruisers have to hide themself for a huge part of the game. During that time, they support foccused / overextending targets. Only when the lines have thinned out, Cruisers can go and impact the game. So its rather the opposite: Cruisers are important in late game Overall I´d like to question your knowledge on what you base your calls on. Your highest cruisers are T8 Chapayev and Cleveland. You are not doing good in Chapa, although its one of those cruisers that gets very strong when beeing toptier and has not much problems impacting the game when is lowtier. Ok, lets dive into these numbers and the calculation, shall we. As you state yourself, you are calculating non-weighted, so you simply added all survival-rates and devided it by the numbers of ships. Well, that result isnt really helpful, since it doesnt take into account, how many games each ship has been played. You will raise the survivability of CAs in that context, simply because Stalingrads percentage is very high, yet it has a low number of games. I mean 48% at 16000 games? Its nothing compared to 33,98% of Minotaur in 151.000 games. If I build the average survivability of them 2, ill reach 35,36%. So Stalins 48,15% looks impressive but has hardly an inpact in the calculation of T10 CA survivability. Now look at the numbers closer and the cruisers, that have high survivability: - Zao: The playstyle of this ship is to be a long-range HE spammer, using speed, concealment and maneuverability. - Stalingrad: Experianced players, high health pool, relativly tanky - Moskva: Became pretty much idiot proof with the bow-armor buff. I know my survivabilty in Moskva is through the roof since that buff. I think (didnt look it up), serverstats will confirm. Also: long range helps you stay out of trouble. - Worcester: The meme of an island-camper. Played right, it will be concealed most of the game. Also often trollish armor that prevents it from beeing one-shotted. So for those ships, we find explanations for their better survivalrate. Lets compare ships with somewhat similar playstyle. A DD that litereally plays like Zao is the Khaba. And they almost match in survivalrate. Thats why people call it the smallest cruiser in the game Minotaur for the same reason is sometimes labeled as a DD. You have to get close to the enemy, you use smoke and try to get some torps of. And Minotaur has infact a lower survivability as many DDs. DM and Salem have actually even lower survivalrates. Low range and no smoke gets people in trouble, obviously. And DM is, after Zao, the most played cruiser on T10. Right after that comes Minotaur. Thats why I conclude, that the cruisers, that cant rely on their gimmicks or very defined, individual style of gameplay, have infact not a higher chance of surviving a battle in high tiers then a DD. And the numbers of ships like Shima/Harugumo/Grozovoi/YY/Daring (im even leaving Khaba out of this, since im leaving Zao out of it aswell) compared to DM/Salem/Minotaur shows, that im not wrong. Ill close this with a personal observation/experiance. Currently, I rather play a Benson in a T10 game then a Minotaur. Im doing much better, my stats confirm this aswell. I dont even want to start about Neptune. Ive lost almost 6% WR during the last 3 months in that ship, which used to be my favourite cruiser in the game. People in randoms have learned to counter cruisers more and more, especially the ones using smoke. For the record: I´d want your statement to be true - I´d like to have high tier cruisers having more chance of surviving then DDs, but atm, this isnt true for many cruisers. Thats why im resorting more and more to Moskva when playing T10s, eventhough the gameplay is not that exciting. And that would be a way to go aswell. It would remove the high survivalrates from the CAs and show, that CLs are pretty much inline with DDs. Exept Wooster, but that ship is broken anyway imo.

    Brushed under the carpet thread

I was able to find the guy from the hints you left on the screen Its incredible. I have a higher avg damage on T3 then he has on T8! And I have by no means a high average damage on my account! btw: wtf is this guy for a camper? the K/D of 2,07 hit my eye and I was thinking HOW? He survives 71% of his battles !!! This in combination with his low damage and low winrate is only possible if you camp in the last corner. I assume you played with or against him? Is my conclusion correct? He went from 45,53% to 45,50% in last two months. So he is actually getting worse.

    Old IJN dds are fine?

(or lets make a deal: you get the Halloween-Kagero, while I get the Helloween-Chapayev ) True. It happens all the time, sometimes even 2 or 3 times in the same round. You´d think, at some point, people would learn. But it just doesnt happen in wows. I swear, the last kill, before at some point in the future the servers will shut down for good, will be a DD getting torped broadside in his smoke. Or a Cruiser giving perfect flat broadside to a BB. Or a BB sailing straightline for 10 minutes and then turning out to make sure to eat all the 20-km-shima torps.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

No real highlight today. Best thing was my suicide run on 2 DDs. Didnt get the kill on Harugumo tho. While im at 3 km in his face and I dodged all his torps, @DFens_666 did snipe the remaining couple of hundred health from 19 km. With a Kurfürst. (To be fair, its obvious I did "secure" the Benson in return). After that, the enemy team was out of DDs and were falling apart, so it was worth it.

It would be wise to check your own data before you once again have to be called out. Why is also, that people, who put things like "its a non-debatable fact" in their wording as usualy telling fairy-tails? You think everyone around you is stupid or dont check the real facts? btw: before you try to get smart again, Ill advice you to look through the stats. Hindenburg & Moskva are below Khaba. Salem, Des Moines have survivabilies lower then ALL T10 DDs! Buffalo is right between the DDs aswell. So much for your facts. Why is it always you I have to call out for things like this?
  25. The game was quite balanced, too bad if ended by points. I didnt understand why our team didnt manage to advance on B - it was basically our Division vs NWP standoff on C. Was crazy seeing so many known names. In the loading screen I went like "Oh there is Helmut Kohl... oh a whole NWP divi... oh, there is more, Phlogistoned... wait, @sergeant83 is familiar also, as well as @jimmy_dietulpe " it never stopped
