This. @666Priest go back to ships of T3 and play them, untill you have the stats atleast in dark green. Then take T4 and do the same, T5, T6... You can see your stats here: https://wows-numbers.com/de/player/528517617,666Priest/?

CV's ... a radical proposal to resolve the mess
ForlornSailor replied to Gojuadorai's topic in General Discussion
as if! And even if - as if it would change anything. You know that aswell as I do. And overall, thats sad. I cant help it but at the current point, I´d rather see CVs removed then implemented in the rework-way. And I always argued strongly against removing them, just for the record... I mean, I wonder. I cant tell since I clearly dont qualify to judge this, but @El2aZeR you do, so i´ll ask you: Since you obviously enjoyed RTS-CVs - is this still the same thing for you? Will you keep on playing CVs with the intensity that you did? To me, it looks like a completly new thing. I cant see why old CV-Players would automatically be new CV-Players. I personally am even less attracted to the rework than to the RTS-CVs. I actually like them, since I love RTS, but I never found the time to get into them. So I focused on the other ships, since thats why I started wows. -
Umm..no? Was among the best seasons for me. T8 is fun too. Yea its just obvious how different your opinion is on a subject, that has the exact same care. Dont be sad, its human bias, we can see it at many places in this forum (or even this thread). Just dont think, people will take you serious, when you judge two similar subjects with complete opposite verdicts. Oh and competetive? Dont make me laugh. A) the competetive part of this game is so small, its vitually non-existent. B) Neither does WG care about it, since the money is generated with the random games. C) A real competetive game could never have so much RNG as this one. Yea, fine. Your concern wont help nor change anything tho? Its not even that I think you are wrong there (exapt about the competetive thing). But Its all part of the business model. Nothing you can do about it. New ships must be stronger to give an inniative to keep playing the game. And to spend money one way or the other. Once you understood, that this is the core and only reason for the game to exists - you´ll be able to see much clearer and calmer. Or, well, you just cant accept it. The point is: I dont need to have it. Sure, we could consider having both the same ships and switch. But as I said: We can only play 1 ship at a time and 1 round takes its time no matter what. So if I want to play Kutu and he wants too - we´d need to play twice as much, right ;) But there is already now so much to play, so many ships to pick. And my time to play the game is limited. Thats why I dont envy other people with good ships. Mine are good too. Its the player the makes the ship, not the other way around. Which says a lot about the Stalingrad aswell. Think about it m8. I honestly think, that if you decide to discuss the topic with @Redcap375, you should base it on arguments. If you are right and he infact has no clue, then it should be even easier to counter him, right? No need to tell other forumites, they have no right to an opinion or their opinion doesnt matter. Its not the way to engage in a discussion.

Alaska and Azuma Fire duration ...WG fails again
ForlornSailor replied to Gojuadorai's topic in General Discussion
Speaking of which: Oktyabrskaya has nice russian DCP. We all know, all upcoming russian BBs have it. Why doesnt Stalingrad have it? Come on, WG, you dropped the ball on this one! But its not too late, just a little buff change. And dont forget Kronshtadt, ty -
Isnt it funny, how fast a perspective can change, once you own such a ship? Ever thought, there are new players, that never had the chance to buy Belfast? You dont mind stomp over them with Belfast, obviously. And you complain about Stalingrad-owners... yea right. Yea... you might want to cite, which clan practices this, before getting too hyped about it. Real good clans dont act like this. Maybe some wannabe guys, that nobody has ever heard of anyway. Also: how do you think, top clans build their teams in games, that dont have any kind of stats? I´d love to know, how you think, that works out? And I wonder, why those people, that did build great teams under these circumstances shouldnt use the same methods over here. And what does it matter if you dont have it? Why cant you accept, that you cant have everything and especially not right away? Why does it bother you so much, that there is one ship, you cant have NOW? You can only play 1 ship at a time anyway. And doesnt matter if you play CB or random - a full division going all Stalins is absolutly stupid anyway and asking to get nuked back to stoneage. So not everybody in your clan needs that ship anyway, if you really are a bunch of friends, as you say. And before you say *edited* - check my shiplist and check the shiplist of @DFens_666. We´ve been playing division together for over 2 years and we diversify our ships. I got Cesare? Well no need that he gets it since playing 2xBBs is stupid. He got Kutuzov? Well no need for me to get it since playing two together is stupid. And so on. You think I cry cuz I dont have Kutuzov? Does he cry, that he doesnt have Cesare? Ask him. My god, there are bigger problems in life dude, seriously.

Let me ask you some questions. First: what is stopping you from getting steel if you want it so bad? Nothing, right? Or is the cans with better skills, which you cant beat so you cant get to the higher leagues to get the steel needed? If that is the case, and you did draw the conclusion, that you cant get Stalin because you cant get the steel because you cant get to the leagues which pays enough steel so *takes deep breath* how come, you didnt draw the conclusion, that Stalingrad MAYBE feels only so strong because its in the same hands of the players, that already beat you in clanwars? Im curious, seriously.

Operation Frontier - Why do people find it so hard?

Come on, its one game mate. Im sure you´ve lost this OP aswell and for the same reason mentioned in the OP. Dont troll, you can do better then that, I know you -
Operation Frontier - Why do people find it so hard?
ForlornSailor replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
My view is this: In Ulimate Frontier, almost everyone has to take a certain position, move into a certain direction right away. If that doesnt happen - you will have a hard time. If more then 2 people do what they want or have no idea - you wont get 5 stars. You simply cant do everything alone in this OP, because you cant be at 3 places at one time. So you need a decent team, that knows what they are doing. They dont even need to be super unicums, since the task initself arent that hard. Just pick the correct ship, go to the right place and shoot the stuff you see. Sounds easy, well, it is, but apperently, isnt. @Juanx most of the people posting in this topic (I know for certain 3 have + me makes it 4) have 5 stars in this operation and can throw you a screen like that. Even with better score. Doesnt change the problems with the avarage teams. -

A novice player (noob) sets up the Hipper
ForlornSailor replied to Saltface's topic in General Discussion
@Saltface well, at the end of the day, it comes down to what works for you. Some captain skills are open for discussion, some are personal prerference, other are really not recommended. Like Survivability Expert... isnt really going to help you much. Its 2800 health more. There are situations, where it will make zero difference. Like a BB shooting at you, might kill you with or without that skill. Its basically a DD skill, since you might be able to survive 1 or 2 more BB overpens or one more salvo from a DD or cruiser. Incoming fire alert on the other hand: if you need it and make it work - then it will lower the damage you get so thats good. It is possible to get the information from that skill also by awerness, thats why its often not recommended. High Altert (which was recommended) however gets your DCP ready faster and more often. Since you dont have a heal on Hipper, it will allow you to use it more effectivly against fires, lowering the damage you take again. Then again: if you move the captain to Roon and Hinden - Super Intendent gets more valueable (althought Hinden doesnt need it anymore with the recent +1 heal so again: up for discussion). -
Yep, thats so true. The Henry just straight line and perfect broadside... i mean come on. Moskva could have punished it even harder? The stationary NC? Again - Moskva...

A novice player (noob) sets up the Hipper
ForlornSailor replied to Saltface's topic in General Discussion
LOL - I was looking at it and asking myself the same thing! ok. Just no. Concealment System Mod is a must for every Cruiser. There is no discussion about it, its simply a must have. Also, you waste too many points on the 1-point-skills. IFA and PT both together - meh. One of it is enough, Id go with PT. The plane-thing is useless, as Saiyko said, you can drop it for double fighter, which actually is usefull. SE wont help you that much - also its less helpful since Hipper doesnt have a heal (it would increace the amount of health healed back a little). You could take Expert Marksman instead and / or with all the points saved, could go for AFT/BFT, since it will help you against CVs and give a little buff to secondaries. Have to say: Hipper in general doesnt scale well with all the captain skills. Its fine with 10 points already, other ships gain more from the 10+ points. It all comes down to the question: are you going to keep Hipper? or will you move the captain to Roon / Hindenburg? -
Like I said: you cant discuss a topic, you have to try and drag it down to a personal level. So sad. Does it bother you so much that you are wrong?

PSA: Concealment nerf coming up in 0.8.0, hitting mainly cruisers
ForlornSailor replied to FixCVs_Nautical_Metaphor's topic in General Discussion
This is exactly my plan aswell. I dont feel like beeing a guinea pig. -
Thanks for finally admitting in beeing wrong and that Seattle is more accurate then Kron. Case closed.

And we are down to semantics. Where you still are wrong, FYI! More important: answer the question! You really that afraid to answer it are you?

PSA: Concealment nerf coming up in 0.8.0, hitting mainly cruisers
ForlornSailor replied to FixCVs_Nautical_Metaphor's topic in General Discussion
I noticed that before the last patch and made comments about that here in the forums (as you know), since I was concerned. So I got called a "BBABY". Here is your baby now folks. Just riding the wave. I would be stupid not to. I rushed so many BBs and torped them from <2 km, its crazy. The dangerous BBs now are actually the ones, that shoot HE all the time. And I still have a survivability rate of almost 90%. As a DD. -
No, im afraid to tell you, its you who doesnt understand the difference. But from all the engagements with you, I know, you are too stubborn to admit it, even if I throw all kind of articles at you, you wont read them or cant understand them, sadly. Accuracy doesnt change... Its the definition of the overall gun characteristics, taking every aspect into account and ignoring the effects of environment. See this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accuracy_and_precision#/media/File:Accuracy_and_precision.svg Accuracy is a constant! It defines how the guns are. Its not only the Sigma, its also that, what Episparh posted in between (which you ignored aswell?) You also havent answered my question about Seattle vs Kronshtadt yet - Tell me, which ship will hit better, when firing on a stationary target at ~16 km? According to your table - the Kron. Are you going to stick with that statement? But its ok, I know why you dont answer. Because you know you´d have to contradict your original post. Thats why you rather try to drag it down to a personal level... sad.
-
Which is exactly the point of the discussion. Well, a piece of it. Read the link of @Episparh aswell as... No. If I fire my G36 at a stationary target from 200m, then move back to 400m and then start shooting of a moving target from 400m - my hit ratio will decline over each exercise. So if you put those numbers again in your table - you want to tell me, I have a different rifle all of a sudden? No, its the circumstances. The rifle still has the same accuracy. It doesnt change just because the exercise gets harder. Thats why the hit ratio comparision of Seattle vs. Kronshtadt by sheer numbers is useless. @DFens_666 comparision between Moskva - Kron and Stalin makes more sense, since they share more similar guncharactaristics and fight aprox. at the same range. And Kron falls short very bad in this comparision, which is true. Just to give a better example btw: If I were to fight a broadside Moskva from 10 km, and I´d have to chose between Kronshtadt and lets say Buffalo, I´d pick Buffalo, since it WILL hit the citadel more reliable. I hope you do understand, that you contradict the table with your numbers and what you are trying to say there with this statement - right?
-
Did you even think about the numbers you posted? Any idea why Neptune and Seattle are on the bottom? You really think its because of the dispersion? .... Its because of the ARCS! Neptune and Seattle have the longest shell-flying time. Thus its easy to dodge them with NATURALLY will give them worse hitrate. Kronshtadt has the fastest shells of all T9 cruisers. You really think, if you go to a trainingroom and shoot a stationary target with Neptune and with Kronshtadt - the Kronshtadt will hit better? If you answer "yes", you have no idea what you are talking about, if you answer "no" - you admit, that the table you posted, has no value to the question at hand. I rest my case.
-
Thats also a known issue - when you ground, while beeing shot at, those shells will miss, usualy flying over you and hitting the island. My guess: the system thinks, you will be still moving into that direction, ignores, that you stopped totaly because you hit the island and the aim-correction makes you miss then. Something like that makes sense, since it only happened to me on the first shot on a new target, when coming directly from another target. Might also explain, why it doesnt happen or is rare on ships with slower reload, since there is usualy more time between 2 shots on 2 targets. Now we only have to ask WG, why that is...
-
Both sides lost? Or did the other not have DDs? Elaborate please.

PSA: Concealment nerf coming up in 0.8.0, hitting mainly cruisers
ForlornSailor replied to FixCVs_Nautical_Metaphor's topic in General Discussion
Im already trying to plan for the time after "Armageddon" (aka CV rework), when WG have to CVExit from this monstrosity. Exactly. But Its still absolutly not needed for Cruisers, thats why I still will argue against it. There were better ways of doing this but MEH WG. 0.8.0 worst patch ever?
