    Chat was wonky the entire day. Showed me people online, that arent online and vice versa. While I took a break from the game to get something to eat, it disbanded my division and kicked us all. Im actually afraid to division right now, because afaik the bug, where you get stuck in a division, is still around. Then you can only wait for the next server patch, because the support is useless.

    Yea. Im seriously questioning the abilites of WGs IT-department now. Cant track down the error, dont have a backup system, cant put out information simultaniously on all channels. Hello, why you have Twitter, FaceBook and your OWN OFFICAL FORUMS when the most crucial information arent transmitted? There are simply tools available to cross-post on all your social media channels! This isnt 1995 . Great. the Emojis are fükked aswell. Atleast a bigger fits the situation...

    Calling it stupid is only your definition. btw: strawman. And to counter it: following that logic, you could remove AP. Because 50% of players cant angle and dont understand not to show broadside, so good players abuse that. btw²: Musashi? really? lol The problem is with you then.

    Some people are simply whining. Emphasis on some. But it doesnt matter at this point, because we are less then 2 weeks away from the major DD screw over aka CV rework. Gotta be honest: Had never so much fun playing DDs then now. Since the BB AP change, you can do to BBs whatever you want. Played mostly T6-T9 DDs and radar was one of the lower threads. Got radared twice in all my games in the last 6 weeks or so? Often people actually COULD radar me but dont do it. Either their Radar is on CD (which I couldnt explain in those moments) or they dont understand, that it would be the right time to use it. I think its the later, since I see the same thing often on my team. So, actually, those people posting screens from the loading screen, complaining about the number of radar ships and then starting the game pissed and with the attitude "I have no chance cuz radar" - are hurting themself from the start. They assume, all radar ships are super unicum, that will radar them at the perfect time (this is a common mistake in many arguments, not only here). The reality is more like, maybe 20% of the radar ships are played by very good players that will use the radar perfectly. Then there is a 20-40% group, that are so-so with radar. The rest, which is ~50%, is most of the time useless and not a threat. They are either completly out of position OR dont understand when to use radar. Now if someone wants to claim, that my 50% guess is way too high: You want to claim, that in general more than 50% of the players in a game are playing smart, intelligent and are dangerous opponents? And another observation which I want to share: Some people are triggered when you radar them. Its pretty much the same as when you get spotted first - some people will never ever switch their focus from you, they stay on you the entire round. Had a game with Kronshtadt couple of days ago, the map was North. So I went to block the two middle caps with my radar. I actually catch Fletcher and Grozovoi simultaniously. Grozovoi escapes with low damage, only like 3k, Fletcher lost more, since we had many ships from C shooting him. So. I then have to retreat from B, because the reds are pushing there to support their Grozovoi and I get shot at from 3 BBs. So im thinking: I will focus on C. What does the Grozovoi do? He follows me on the other side of the island, even firing a salvo on me through the gap. I notice this thinking: why? You could take B now, i left it. No, he doesnt. So im behind the Island at the corner of C, a little wide, and get spotted. Which means only one thing: the Fletcher has returned. Again im thinking: why? You got burned once. So he ran away from a minute only to return then. Which is the most stupid thing to do. He actually gives me time to get my radar from cooldown. Do people forget so quick? He could have used the time right after my radar was on CD but he didnt. Anyway. Long story short: Not only do the Grozovoi and Fletcher constantly attack me ( im doding a lot of torp salvos), The Hsienyang joins in. He even reverses around an island while smoking up a couple of kilometers away from me. Meanwhile: the red team at A/B, that was innitialy pushing to support the Grozovoi - has no spot. And I end up killing all 3 DDs. Now we need to talk about the impact of Radar vs. the missplay of people. Was it my radar that killed those 3 DDs? certainly. Should I have been able to kill them in the first place? certainly not. Looking at the big picture: I couldnt stay at B longer, because the enemy BBs were pushing me off. So B would have been red. The Fletcher shouldnt have pushed for C - not only because of me, but because we had 7 or 8 ships there (basically the support I was lacking at B to hold it). Which would lead to the following situation - both teams have 2 caps, reds are strong on the left, we are strong on the right. It would have been an open game. Instead, it was over in less then 7 mins. It was a HUGE missplay on the part of the 3 DDs. They were triggered because I radared them both. Notice that the innitial radar didnt kill them, the Grozovoi was hardly hurt at all. We shouldnt say that "radar was too strong" in this situation but "it was the DDs who played bad". Also keep in mind: I can not stealth radar. I always was spotted way before I used my radar. What will happen to my Donskoi, if I rush around against 3 BBs, because im angry that I got 1 cita from 1 of them? I get obliterated. I wouldnt have any ground to claim "BB OP!" in that situation and people would tell me to "git gud". Rightfully.

    An Open Question to WG

    Some of these ... things... actually talk. Nothing useful but still enough, to distinguish them from bots. Also, I´d think, if WG would program talking bots into randoms, they would give them propper spelling and they wouldnt swear all the time. So yea, I´d actually wish those were bots, because then I wouldnt have to question the status of human intelligence on a weekly daily basis.

    AP Penetration and no damage

    Yup, I dumped a full broadside with Missouri into a Republique not long ago from a distance of something like 2 km, 7 pens, 0 dmg. These 0-dmg-pens are annoying. Atleast dont give us a penetration ribbon, when the shell does 0 damage. About the bulges itself: Its tricky. If we would be able to deal damage to them, its a huge nerf to any ship with bulges. Because they would receive a lot more damage. But as it is right now, the mechanic hugly favours ships with bulges, because you simply deal no damage at all in situations described above. Both is wrong if you ask me. To get this even, I assume the entire game mechanics and even armor modules would need to be changed. So yea, not going to happen?

    I´ll have to say it again at this point, that I´d like Wargaming to change their policy, how to compensate the playerbase for server issues. I know, you give everyone an extra day of premium. However, imo, that isnt cutting it. Games crash in the middle of the round, as it has happened to me before during an Operation, where I had all special signals on. We all know - they are rare, you hardly get them and to lose one complete set is more then annoying - it actualy angers me. The same, with a little lesser effect, might count for the camoflages. For those reasons, I´d like Wargaming to concider, rising the compensation to 1 of each signal, 1 camoflage + the usual 1 day of premium. It would be greatly appreciated by the playerbase I think. @MrConway @Crysantos. thanks
  16. It a tough nut. You give the T7 DDs competetive concealment compared to the high tier DDs, you will throw T6/T5 DDs unter the bus. The concealment module is what makes Z-39 so strong, since you are always strong, no matter what the mm throws you. But with the CV-rework this might all change anyway? Well, you have a point there. But buffing something doesnt necessary means, it will become best in class (or even wont be last in class anymore). Blyska has been power creeped, there is no way denying it. I recently got myself a T7 premium DD and thought long and hard about which one. Blyska was the first I kicked off the list, so that says something. It became the Z-39 - also for obvious reasons. The Blys just doesnt do anything really good and is neither a "jack of all trades". IMO, it would need to be one or the other (which goes for all ships tbh) to justify its, well, existence.

    What is this "left mouse button" you are talking about? Some kind of sorcery? That caught my attention right away aswell. There are people with 20k battles that have no clue about objectives, points and time. These days, I dont care about my damage anymore. At all. I only play for the win. And I know that I can not rely on any of the guys on my team, unless they are in my division. Thats why I always bring a division. Else, this game is unbearable. Once in a while I try to teamplay with that stuff around me and get dissapointed all the time. Last week : a Chapayev is pushing up behind my Benson. So i tell him: I smoke him, because there is a DD ahead, so he can radar it. What do you think? he rushes thought the smoke, gets spotted and doesnt radar. dead. My divisionmate tells me right away: great, you again wasted a smoke on an idiot. So here is my small guide on how to win in wows: - Always bring a division. 2 is not enough, make it 3. And one class = one player. - Only play for the objective. Because thats what wins games. - Never die. You must be last man standing. Because you could give your team 998 points advantage and leave them 11 vs 1 and they STILL might be able to throw it. - Expect nothing and expect the worst at the same time. This goes especially for your own "teammates". Like I said: always expect the worst.

    Dont worry, this happened to all of us. Its pretty much normal, its the way the game is designed. I think, you are on the right track. I mean, you dont need to rush it to T10, its not like its going to run away or so . But by all means, go there at some point, when you feel like it, and check it out. Everyone here can only tell you his personal view, pretty much. Some people love VII, others X. There are some people, that never leave Tier I and others keep at IV. So just pick the Tier/Ship, you will like the most, be it whatever it may be. After you tried out all tiers, you will develop a favourite tier, thats for sure. But you already discovered one thing, that (in my personal experience) is one of the best things about this game: Having fun with good guys in a division. I wouldnt play this game anymore if they were not around, that is 100%. The game actually leaves a lot of room for teamplay and we try to optimize this. Its really awesome,when you can help your divisionmate out, be it with a smoke as a DD to safe your cruiser, shoot a DD as a cruiser that is threatening your divis DD or BB or use your BBs big gun, to get rid of a cruiser, that is trying to hunt down your divis DD.

  21. As a RN Cruiser, you might not be the largest threat - but you are often the juciest target. People know this these days. I had occasion, where the last BB of the enemys shot (and sucessfully killed me with one salvo) in my Minotaur-Smoke at something like 11 km, while he was surrounded by 3 of our BBs at 5~8 km. For him, it was prolly the best outcome XP/credit wise, since the game was lost anyway. What could he have done with his last salvo to a BB? Unlucky: 1k. Normal: maybe 15-20% of this health. Lucky: maybe 50%. All of that would have gave him way less XP then killing an almost full HP Minotaur. Its the most crucial thing to learn, when you play a RN Cruiser these days: Expect to be shot at from anyone and from anywhere. Things so blame: AP change against DDs on BBs (not worthy to blast AP at DDs, pick other target) and removal of citadels on BBs (not worthy to blast BBs even close range, pick other target). Oh yes, and the X-mod didnt help either. I advise to use island as a RN Cruiser, just like with US Cruisers f.e., especially in early gameplay.

    Health/Saturation bug

    Had the exact same thing once with a Leander against a Warspite. I couldnt get the last 1k off. He started to heal - I dealt damage again, until he was at 1k again. Then he managed to kill me, which sucked since we both were the last ships. Just a shitty mechanic, that should go imo.
  24. The thing is, especially in this game: its hard to make a definate call by reviewing a situation. There is so much RNG and basically everything is possible so... I use torpedo hits myself as an indicator. A funny story comes to mind: My divisionmate torps a smoke, im zooming in and waiting for something to happen. Then 2 hits, 2 torps right next to each other. So my conclusion is: the ship got hit bow & stern, just aim in the middle for guarenteed hit. I get: 0 hits and im like . Later we found out: there were 2 ships in the smoke who got hit so I must have shot right between them. But in general: Anyone, that says, its totaly impossible, that someone might be cheating - I´d ask him if this is his first MMO. But unless I see a Yamato flying over the map with 280 knots shooting with a reload of 2 sek - I would hesitate to call someone out for cheating in this game.
