Clanmembers exploiting/cheating in ranked battles

Watched the replay. Atleast the part with Donskoi vs. Alsace is waterproof. Its clearly rigging. Also: Better put the replay down aswell. It might still be concidered naming & shaming. You need to create a ticket here: https://eu.wargaming.net/support/en/products/wows/help/8634/8635/8636/8638/ make sure to upload the replay. Or you write a pm to @MrConway - he is always helpful in these situations and makes sure, those people gets a slap on the fingers. They deserve it. (sorry for marking you MrConway, I know you are busy right now with the new patch and stuff but this one here is so obvious and blatant rigging... they planed this from the start and most likely do it all the time) -
No. Point.

Have a look at his stats. He seem to be playing coop only and is very bad at it. Who knows? Maybe he did the impossible? But I actually doubt, looking again at his stats, that he managed to gather 15 mil credits in the first place. So everything is possible here. Sidenote: I have no clue how you can play 445 games Erie. In coop.
-
You ran into a CV, that has no clue (yet) how to dodge the AA. Thats another problem of the rework. Its so one-dimensional, that you cant balance it. Newbs will feed their planes to die like flies, while the ones, the figured out how to work around the mid and long AA, will make DDs die like flies. How to balance it? dont ask me. I say its not possible.
-
Well that Meta changed quick. Yesterday I was still the lonely DD (and enjoyed it).
-
They got a taste of that. Yesterday, live on stream. Courtesy of Mr. @El2aZeR . Its the prime example whats wrong with this rework. Everyone should see that.
-
Told ya. dont cry. You´re Mr. 20 km Shima now. You dont understand, that the people discussing here are way ahead of you. couple of things. - I wont be surprised in a current CV game, if I get spotted by planes. its a given. - Planes dont need 3 mins to reach a cap. - A DD wont reach the cap before he is spotted, since the planes are faster. Please get your facts straight before you try to lecure. Also: Again, you are lacking the understading of how to play in general and in specifc against radar. What you describe, doesnt happen to me. But it happened to you, obviously, since a) you mention it and b) camp in the back with your DDs, because you are afraid of radar and die to it. And you want us to take your word on "how to play against CVs"? Yea, ill pass.
-
Well then dont cry when I judge based on what you write here. Yep, we all know DDs like that. Shimas with 20 km torps.
-
As a DD - I dont spot for myself. I spot for the team. - Im not foccusing on dealing damage. Thats what my Team is here for. The less info the enemys have about me, the better i can provide spotting for my team. - Radar? lol. In 99% of my DD games - talking domination, but it has happened in standard battle aswell - im in a cap, taking the shortest & fastest route. f*** radar I dont give a damn. - I want to see your stats now.
-
Or... Ill throw my toolbox out of the window, when I dont have the right tools, and get a beer instead. I think the analogy is obvious enough? I said this after 5 mins of seeing the new CV gameplay aswell. It was obvious to anyone that has a little clue about the game and its mechanics. But hey, the early warnings were dismissed by the hords of people, that have a deep hate towards RTS CVs and were in joy of the news, that they will be removed.
-
This goes against the goal of the game - playing for the objective. Also, it goes against one of the jobs of the DDs - spotting for the team. Now you can say "you dont need to spot anymore, you have a CV" Which brings me to the question, that @xxNihilanxx already stated: Why play DDs anymore? Might aswell play a cruiser.
-
That pic is a nice try, but its fake. The AA-achievement is missing.

Radar on planes! What a genius idea! If it happens at some point - you heard it from me first

Most likely frustration. He isnt happy how the game has changed and "wasnt ready" to quit (so to say). Anyway. Its a sort of feedback and he has every right to voice it, doesnt matter if you, me or anyone like it or dont, agree with it or not or even find the post annoying. Nobody made you read his post, right? I mean, how usefull is your post at the end of the day?- 54 replies

Detectability Penalty Change in 0.8.0
ForlornSailor replied to Spithas's topic in General Discussion
Confirmed. Played some Minotaur and everything is back to ~last summer. Needless to say: I got f**** three times by the new mechanic already. No more "oh just fire a salvo or two before you go behind the island"... I also noticed now, that it doesnt neccessary have to be you, that moves around. I fired over an island at an Iowa in coop, another bot moved into my range (I actually saw that), thats why I stopped shooting before but that doesnt matter anymore because you are spotted. Its funny how fast such things become a habbit and now you see, how it screws you... -

I really hope he isnt going "meh they will forget about it" strategy. -
I dont know. Those BBs, that camp in the back, are players, that couldnt make it in any other class. They either play BBs very badly or CVs very badly. Because that way, they survive. Which they cant while playing a DD or Cruiser. Its ofc only my personal conclusion. Up for debate. But its supported by the observation, that the worst players are seen in BBs and CVs. I really have to wonder about some posts. I mean, even though i often dont agree with some of the things posted here, because I have a strong opinion about the topic, I can certainly retrace how that person has come to this conclusion. In this case - I dont. What you discribe as a new thing MIGHT have been the case with the introdution of the US CL line, the weeks right after that. When we saw tons of Worcesters around. This is half a year ago. Since then Stalingrad became a thing, US CLs have dropped down in numbers and DDs received a massive buff against BBs. I for one enjoy torturing BBs on any Tier between 5 and 10 currently. If I may add: it has become harder recently, because the BBs are getting more passive. They lose their DD infront and most turn 180° right away. Especially on low/mid tiers you know: you wont be landing any torps this game. So if that is your "dont have to worry about DDs" then yea, sure. But you dont have to worry about winning games anymore at the same time :)

Detectability Penalty Change in 0.8.0
ForlornSailor replied to Spithas's topic in General Discussion
For me: It was infact through PTS-gameplay that I noticed the change. Just like you, I didnt read about it anywhere. Just a "WTF" moment when the detection didnt worked as expected. Also, there was some small discussion in the "some interesting info around the world" thread, but its simply impossible to draw much attention about something, that is happening on the PTS and isnt documented anywhere. So I agree with your suggestion. -

And thats why some people suggested, that if you introduce such drastic changes with one patch (CV-rework) you shouldnt touch any other things at the same time. -

They might never notice. Some still think, they pay more maintenance after a round, when they took more damage. But they still are effected by the changes, whether they know about them or understand them. Thats why its even more important, that the people, that do understand, raise their concerns. -

ForlornSailor replied to Spithas's topic in General Discussion
Well you need to think about, that only a small part of the community is using the forums. Also, the pull will gather more votes, its only live for a short moment. Compare it to other polls here in the past and you can see, its actually pretty big. -

You are right. Back then it was a desperate try, because it was clear, the change was inevitable. -

2 hours on the vote, >95% against the change and almost 600 people casted their vote. The community is sending a strong signal here. Remember to count 2 of the 27 that voted in favour of the "fix" out, since they missclicked. -
Detectability Penalty Change in 0.8.0
ForlornSailor replied to Spithas's topic in General Discussion
Dont try. It has been suggested by the community and discussed as early as when the 20 sec gunbloom and maximum detection equals firing range was introduced (I remember it good, since I was among the ones suggesting and pushing for it). It got shut down as too complicated and confusing.
