How many times you want to show to the public, that you dont understand what people talk about? You constantly try to make people look bad here, by hinting in your posts, they have no clue or need to l2p, while its you, that need to l2p. And quite frankly, you are rude, show no respect nor discussion culture.

Yes there is. And you told him, he knows nothing about CVs. ouch.

[10GO] Clan member throwing ranked game for his clan mate
ForlornSailor replied to HexOmega's topic in Other
Its to be expected. People of the same kind will gather together. Well, every clan is building their own reputation. If they have no problem with that... -
If a Minotaur does something stupid, he is back to port within 5 sec. There are about 7 to 9 other ships around usualy, that can shoot it into oblivion. There is a reason, that many people concider Minotaur as one of the hardest to play ships in the game. If your team cant deal killing a Minotaur - they prolly cant kill anything. Then you shouldnt win. Also, its not your job to counter it. This is my position across the board and goes for many other ships combinations aswell. True. Thats why they created OP-Haku and cashed in on people, spending a lot of money to get free XP and credits, so that they can finaly achieve something in this game. A couple of these people are complaining already in the forums. You are barking on the wrong tree. Ive said for years (yes, thats actually seriously true), that especially CVs need a +/- 1 mm, because its equally stupid, if a CV is 2 tiers down or if other ships have to fight against a CV 2 tiers higher. Also, it would make balancing of something as passive / RNG as AA much easier. But hey - only today on the Q&A stream, WG said: not going to happen, T8 CV in that case has to adapt. So save your energy because it seriously is not going to happen. You wont change it, I wont change it, the community wont change it. Well, if you get 98% of the playerbase to stop playing for 2 months, then maybe they will listen.
-
Another Strawman. You cant stay on the subject? But well you also think that Minotaur should lose its HE so... and just FYI: Cruiser DO NEED to carefully pick their targets. But looking at your stats, that concept is indeed foreign to you.
-
Seriously ???
-
You tryin to say, that 25% of the ships played are CVs? How do people constantly get those ideas? Who would click into CV games then (i mean besides CVs, since obviously they are forced to)? Yea, the division mates of the CV... and some minos looking for plane kills.... Who on T6 would pick "Random with CV"? Or who on T4? Oh wait. Now I get it - thats your evil plan all along !
-
Mino = 1 cruiers no cruiser or destroyer = ~65% of the ships in the game Yea clearly you have your arguments right. No, stacking auras is not a "problem". Its a step into the right direction, rewarding teamplay. And just FYI: these things happened even before, but the auras of AA-build cruisers like Minotaur or Worcester were a lot bigger. Actually, Minos AA-bubble has shrunk to half its size. Again (man I feel like a preacher by now) you read what WG wanted to achieve, aka removing the influence of CVs and the ability to strike at any moment and any target (they said it today again)) and it becomes clear, that you are not suppose to attack under these circumstances. So why do you think, that after watching old CVs for years, then defining what they want to change and now implementing it, seeing it works that they should change this all because you say so? aand you assume wrong. I think WG has identified this as a problem. I said earlier, that I think, 3-man-try-hard divis with CV and full specced AA ships is not something, they want to have in the game anymore. This was triggering players too hard. I actually tried this setup out now (after rework & hotfix) and the influence is somewhat lower as before. The smaller auras and the lower impact of CVs has somewhat removed the huge impact of such divisions. But they still have an advantage. I guess WG left modules and captains skills in the game because... they didnt knew how to fill the gap? Thats why we see skills and modules with smaller impact now. Like you cant increase your AA-range any longer.
-
From what you write since the rework, it rather looks like you are biased. And why you put his quote, that was directed at someone, that says Minotaur is shooting HE into that quote, making it look like it belongs together? Really bad style my dude. So stop quoting bs.
-
Yea they are and should be removed. But as long as WG decides, we have them, we have to concider what they are capable of. But I think you two wont find the same page anyway. You both have strong ideas, how things should work, and they obviously differ. So you should agree to disagree. Its not like its going chance anything at the end of the day either...

tier 4 IJN carrier sucks right?
ForlornSailor replied to anonym_MermYt0R0qHj's topic in General Discussion
Its been done already. But its impossible to tell, if that was before or after the hotfix. -
There is a difference between not liking what someone says and that person telling you, that what you were saying is, well, bs? But hey - After your valid points in the last posts, I jumped in my Bat-mobile and called in an emergency-meeting with WG-staff. I have good news for you: effective immediately, upon your request, HE was removed from Minotaur. So now you are fine with Minotaur beeing an untouchable AA-cruiser.

impact bad CV player versus good CV player changed?
ForlornSailor replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
Why do you need to lie about @El2aZeR ? You know that everyone can look up your wrong claim, right? He is playing mostly solo, as he has done most of the time... You havent understood anything about the new class. It provides superior spotting compared to all classes. this is a TEAMGAME. Can you finaly acknowledge that and start playing accordingly? This game has gone down the egocentric path for way too long. With the new CVs, people that understand this are WINNING most of their games. If you dont care about your team and only want to farm damage, Id advice you to play coop. In randoms you have to interact with your team to get the best experiance. This has also always been the case for CVs. You want to look up that one guy, that had a thread going over ONE YEAR in this very forum, complaining that he keeps losing, while he deals all the time 200k damage in his Midway. Because he had ZERO teamplay and failed to understand, that its a teamgame. CVs are still a very important part of the fleet. They influence the outcome of the game. Your claim is actually refuted by the stats of the player, that you tried to use for your argument. If CVs are not important - how can he impact the game so that he wins most of his games? -
Wargaming.

impact bad CV player versus good CV player changed?
ForlornSailor replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
Happened to me aswell. Ive asked this question now 4 times in the forums (yes, im actually counting) why would I play a DD still when I have to play it like a cruiser or a BB? Waiting for an answer so far^^ Its really sad, that this community has a problem in drawing the right conclusions. And they dont value or are incapable of understanding, how certain mechanics or players did help them constantly. And its true, the interval, in which the new CVs are flying their attacks, is incompatible with how the rest of the game works. DoT/DCP/cooldown on any consumable actually/capping objectives is not designed to deal with something, that has the ability to reach every point on the map over and over again within 45 sec max. -
And the same goes for low tier ships that are in the game against a high tier CV. Prolly its better now, especially for T6 / T7 ships, atleast they are fixed now, maybe. But thats what Ive been preaching for the last week but didnt get any attention. Maybe now... Didnt say that. @B051LjKo could you stop your sarcasm-spam? First time is funny. Second is meh. After that... youll get the idea. And sorry to break it it you, but Minotaur is a dedicated AA cruiser and you are not suppose to be able to touch it.
-
So you can now join me and the other people regularly playing DDs in their fight for a correct compensation for spotting. This is not a new problem. The game is way too much focussed on dealing damage. But that doesnt win games.
-
All they had to do was read all the info WG was giving. S_O said somewhere, that the AA is "very close" to what they want it to be and it will only see slight changes. Then there was the thing about the T5 to T7 ships, that got messed up with the first hotfix (as its obvious from the screens of LWM). And my own interpretation was, that THIS infact was the reason for the second hotfix. I dont think im wrong there either, since the other, rather small adjustments could have been rolled out with the regular patch, right? So I dont know how people could come to those conclusions. I was really confused actually over the last days, because I kept saying these things. They were obvious.
-
What part of " slightly " is hard to understand? btw there was a post about T5 to T7 AA, that for some reason didnt get adjusted / got adjusted wrong with the first hotfix. And that they will be increased a lot (see the difference between slightly and a lot?). So the conclusion was, that the hotfix will bring stronger AA overall. Why was I one of the few people that could put these pieces together? And why am I not surprised by this hotfix, yet many others are?

impact bad CV player versus good CV player changed?
ForlornSailor replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
Thats true. But also the need for that decreased (against bad players). They kill themself now. Here is the thing: Players are not only super bad OR super good. It might be news to some people, but there is a group that is really average and this group always has been there. These players DID help you with fighters, when you were permaspotted in your DD by the opponent CV, f.e. This doesnt exist anymore. So now, when you face a CV, that knows "aaah I better keep the DD spotted" - you are effed. And thats why, folks, RTS CVs were better. Because before, that CV permaspotting you got harrassed from your friendly CV and/or had a lot of other things to do with his other squads, that kept him busy. Now he can focus 100% on one thing. One of the things, I cant get my head around. Before, the playerbase didnt adjust to a CV in game. Rush the cap, run in all directions, cry. That was the usualy behavoir. Even you ASKED them "stay together, there is a CV in the game, dont rush alone". no reaction. Now people blobb up into one mass and never leave the spawn area - even when there is no CV in the game. Its ridiculous. -
No offical source ever spoke of a nerf. Rather the opposite.
-
Ive been saying this all week. Oh man the I had to take. Because I actually looked at what WG said. And tbh: the 8.0.1 curve was wrong for the mid-tiers. WG actually said, that something went wrong there (and THAT was the main reason for the second hotfix). I actually went and tried T6 and it was stupid af. It will be much better now, everyone can see that the AA makes much more sense now. And to the people, that ive tried to wake up from their dreams, that AA will be cut by atleast 50%: maybe you believe it now?
-
That was always obvious to me, thats why the last days in the forum were so annoying, because a lot of people had wrong expections about the hotfix no.2. It was also clear, that some AA will infact get a buff and that we were very close to the final product after the hotfix. This was also confirmed by WG directly. I did try to focus the attention on the real problems but it wasnt possible so far. Maybe now...

Give us the possibility to refund CV
ForlornSailor replied to anonym_RGvUdEcxWWvD's topic in General Discussion
I had replied to him in his earlier thread (check through his account), so I knew, that he used money to buy the Haku 1 day before the hotfix because he realized, what you could do with it.
