Shows how much you know about the game right there. T5 BBs bounce Nagato shells way better then any T7 BB. You should prolly stop writing. btw: that goes especially for T7 RN cruiers fighting T5 to T9 BBs. And someone, that has 900 games in Belfast, doesnt know this. w-o-w

I would like to bring the attention to something, that (to my knowledge) hasnt been mentioned yet. That is CVs in T7 Operations. Not only are we down to 4 OPs atm - but CVs are now excluded from 1 of them, which is Narai. What if someone had fun playing his Kaga in Narai (and Ultimate Frontier for that matter)? Shouldnt we change the Operations, so that T8 CVs are allowed to participate in the T7 Operations? Which brings me to another question: Will the removed Operations return? Im not sure if you at WG have realized, but Operations have gained a dedicated community. The ingame Operations channel was really active during the last half of 2018. People especially loved Dynamo and Cherry Blossom. Not only that - the diversity is missing right now. So, my two questions @MrConway @Crysantos: - Will all/some of the removed Operations return? If yes - Is there a scedule? - Are you concidering to allow CVs in T7 Operation(s)?

Do you have a graph (or can you create one) with games played instead of %? And with a line for "matches overall", like the combined number of all classes at that date? that would be interesting. -

nice work there @Saltface! Ive before noticed discrepancies on maplesyrup, some so hard, that the only conclusion was, that there is something wrong. Like you showed from the two examples. So im not 100% trusting the numbers there, but its the best we´ve got I guess. The general tendency should be right tho. I started to notice this aswell. Its really weird and gives away ships positions way too early. Wanted to bring that up already but didnt find time to create a topic. I think it deserves attention aswell. Good example: Since CVs are always directly matched, its normal for them to get close to 50%. Only thing you can see from those numbers, is, which CV performs better Tier-for-Tier. Haku vs. Midway, compared to other numbers we´ve seen before, is pretty heavy and clear, that Haku is no match to Midway atm.

Are you trying to pull a strawman argument on me? Henri doesnt have radar, Henri is not a DD nor a cruiser with smoke. So what Henri does or is or doesnt or isnt is no subject here. It has absolute zero connection to radar and DD. There is way more CVs around right now. Numbers are up by a factor of 10 over the last weeks. Harugumo is stupid and shouldnt exist. Most people agree on that. Still, its one DD out of many. Doesnt mean that the DD-class is OP. No other DD can do that, was Harugumo is doing.

Sure, I can: WG couldnt figure out, how to program the bots to be able to control the new CVs/planes. No, thats not a joke, thats offical response. Thats tough luck then

I did count some weekly stats, comparing the last week up to the 16.02. with the week 15.12. Last week, accoring to maplesyrup, 2.193.593 random games have been played. In the week of 15.12. - 2.193.776 random games have been played. So hardly any change at all. I have to say, im surprised myself. But interesting is also: High tier DDs decreased from 388.894 to 260.855 Also: low tier games have increased a lot! They are up from 654.236 to 827.999. -

I think he means 7.12. because: Division with a CV if you really want to do those missions. But you dont really need to do them to advance and the rewards are "meh" at best.

oof On a more serious note: yea sure, not everybody is playing with the goal in mind, to become the best player around. Thats why I suggested to that guy, to play coop, because there you have the same explosions and guns make same boom-boom. Because, after all, we are playing a PvP-game and thus, when clicking into the battle, I have my mind set on this challenge and ofc want to win any engagement and, in consequence, every round. If I dont feel like that, im playing coop myself. But yea, that guy took it as an insult. I rather think, its an insult to your teammates, when you just go into a random game with an attitude "ah meh idgaf, just wanna watch muh gunz go boom-boom". -

You could also use the weekly stats from http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/ranking/index.html copy/paste them into excel, let it add up all games played and you have some numbers to work with. Because "players online" doesnt necessarily tell you anything about "(random) games played". And I guess OPs question it aiming at randoms games played? -
Interesting. I did the exact opposite ;) one of the few exeptions was my Takao, simply because the AA was so weak, that def AA wasnt a reasonable choice. Yep. That was always the problem. No matter which "side" you are on: when people complained, that they feel its not up to them but up to RNG, they have/had a point. You´d need to find a mechanic, that allows for active interaction and at the same time doesnt distract you (too much) from all your other duties. Or, you keep a passive basic-mechanic, which would be much weaker then the current one and have at the same time some sort of active mechanism, that takes your full attention, but is really strong. So the player can chose "Do I activly focus on fighting the planes OR do I keep focusing on the ship-to-ship battle". That could be interesting - if done right. Oh and then comes the real challenge: you´d need to convince WG to put such a change in the game!

I dont even think thats true. There were reasonable often RTS CVs around. Atleast when I played. But people ignored it, said "there is nothing i can do" and if anything, came whining to the forums. Right after the rework, CVs were there in every game, so that group of people simply could no longer just ignore them. So whine increased as did cowardly gameplay. Right now, it feels like CVs are down to the level pre-rework. With 2 exeptions: Operations and Co-op. There are way more CVs then before.

That makes sense, yup. To be fair: I wouldnt include MrConway in that critizicm. He has been helpfull and joined discussions beeing polite and constructive, even when WG or the game was under fire, every time I saw him. Smug_O? yea, throw him under the bus, np. -
I know how but since you dont value my input... Its 45k avg now. And it was 50,5k during the weeks before the rework. And ~55k between rework and hotfix #1

Actually - no. In any situation, a player, that makes a huge mistake, should be punished for it. This is direct feedback "hey, what I did there, was bad". If we remove this feedback, the overall level of gameplay with drop and drop and drop. Exploding when playing bad is the reason, people have learned how to play this game. You think, unicums have been as good as they are from the start? Nope. They exploded like newbs. And they LEARNED from it.

Above you see, why I dont disagree with you in general, but in the case of this game @cracktrackflak. Yea, sure, games that are easy to access might attract more players. But changing that concept more and more years into the making... questionable. It will drive the people, that actually are playing that game already, away. Friday/Saturday I didnt see more then 24k ppl online peak (to be fair - i wasnt online that much, so could have been more at some point), while a monh ago we broke 30k on weekends easily. So putting aside why WG choses to make those decisions and how we rate each of them as either good or bad - why make them in the first place? Why risk upsetting the players, that are already here? A lot of us are hooked, have been hooked for years and wouldnt suddenly stop for no reason (atleast not all at the same time). But if you change the game so much, that you upset this group - they might just leave. -

Which makes all your smack talk... fall back at you - understood? yes/no. Not that I havent told you these things -many- times before. Now go back, read it all, understand that you are wrong, admit your mistake and we can move on.
