Bug? CV can summon fighters even after ship death!
ForlornSailor replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
The fighter planes from the RTS CVs had to find a new home somewhere! -
Will the rework fail? I can't see the end of the tunnel right now.
ForlornSailor replied to Colonel_Boom's topic in General Discussion
When I suggest that before the rework went live, I got insulted -
Well, 2 things: First, people are still learning this completly new class. Many/some people (hard to say) started on T10 right away, so thats lowering avg dmg atm. Last week, Midway is at 82060 according to http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/ranking/20190216/eu_week/average_ship.html Second: WG said, one of the goals was, to reduce CV impact. Lower damage = lower impact. If you take that into account, the current changes make sense, from that point of view.

Id say Haku was broken (since there was something wrong with the mechanic, that could be abused - the damage itself, looking at 1 torp hit, wasnt that special) while the RN CVs seem OP. And yea, that could be solved be leaving the mechanics in place and simply adjust the alpha. My guess: RN CVs will get OP into the game, people get horny, spend again $$$ to get the T10 right away, then we see a quick "hotfix" to get them in balance. You know, if it worked once, it sure works again? Thats atleast what WG might be thinking. If it happens - you heard it here first! -

That would help so much and it should have been done with RTS CVs. But WG made it pretty clear, last time in the recent Q&A, that this isnt going to happen :x I still cant understand, that there are people out there, genuinely saying, this isnt true. -
Thats the only thing I find weird about this fix/patch. 20% for all ships, all classes. I mean I welcome it for DDs. Cruisers will profit the most, for some thats ok I guess (Moskva/Henri), other didnt really need it in the current meta (yea, looking at my Mino, which went from zero to hero with the rework). And nobody is talking about BBs - to be honest: I havent really looked at the numbers and thought about the impact yet. We are talking about 2+km in all/most cases. That shouldnt matter that much in mid-game, how much it will impact early spotting... remains to be seen? The lower the tier and the slower the planes the higher the impact - maybe? maps are smaller too. I dont know. Yea for some weird reason people are specing into AA now. Like before it was more usefull and I got often laughed at, when I told a CV on my team that im AA-build and can support him. Now, I personally have dropped AA-builds on some ships, because imo they are strong enough or its not justified - while other perople run AA builds. w/e. WG should just unify plane HP / plane speed / AA across all tiers (since they dont want to introduce +/- 1mm) to lower the impact of up- or low-tiered ships. Or find a dynamic method based on the mm, to balance AA for each game. Its equally bs for surface ships and CVs if they face CVs or surface ships that are 2 tiers higher.

Holy **** A) Maybe you should look the numbers ingame to understand. B) If that doesnt help you: 7,3 > 6,9. If you think im wrong, Edited. C) Maybe you should actually play Minotaur to understand, how AA works. D) Its clear anyway, that you havent understand how flak works. It is NOT a bug. This is how its suppose to work. Dont you understand, there is a delay between shooting the flak and hitting the plane? You really lean yourself pretty far out of the window, telling somewho - WHO ACTUALLY PLAYS CVs - he doesnt know what he is talking about - WHILE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT !!!! No need to be rude to each other!
-
Aand you completly ignore, that you keep spotting the DD for your team or stop him from capturing objectives / spotting for his team / getting unseen into a position, from where he can deal massive damage to your team. You know. teamplay stuff. All the things you are supposed to do in a team-oriented game. And things that make you win games.

Eehh.. ok? I was really confused why you replied to me with something about T4 BBs and then I asked you twice what that all has to do with CVs? Now im even more confused... forum is so weird these days, what has the rework done to people?
-
With every patch the Port UI got more laggy. The number of ships in my port hardly ever changes so that cant be the reason. So. Much. This. But hey, people in this game just dont get it, this goes for all classes. Spot as a DD? PFFF WANNA USE MUH GUNS FROM MUH SMOKE!! Shoot the radar cruiser as a BB? PFFF WANNA SHOOT DA BIG FAT BB IN DA BACK. Things will never change. So why are we expecting them to be different here?

Thats unfortunate but what have CVs to do with it?

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

This is my new strategy. Im using use as my personal spotter . Works like a charm. My Mino says "Thank you Mr. Kurfürst" . -
Offtopic: While Iwaki most likely has very low playerbase and thus stats are to be taken careful, Shenyang and Danae should be looked into imo. About the damage of CVs: They are slightly above DDs and right on the heel of Cruisers. Their spotting damage is outstanding tho. I can picture, that WG is looking at numbers like these and conclude "mission accomplished". I personally would love to see their spotting reduced and give them more potential do deal damage. But if WGs goal is/was to create a class, that is competing with DDs at what they are suppose to do, they are pretty much there... You could even say: the CVs are doing it better atm (with the exepction of contesting objectives (strike that, el2aZer is doing that better then a DD already )) and there you have the explanation, why WG is rather nerfing the class then buffing it atm. You are missing the point tho. There shouldnt be a problem with any class participating in every battle. Im 100% sure that WG wants to create such a balance, that they have to restrict as little as possible and have all classes played regulary across all tiers. Thats also directly what they´ve said, when they presented their goals for the rework (make CVs more attractive - have CVs in every battle). So from that point - they succeeded. Their damage on the low tiers is, as we see from the numbers, very limited aswell. So what exactly is the point here? You talk about "doding planes". But players have to dodge DDs torps aswell as shots from Cruisers and BBs. So there is no difference? Why is the one responsible for scaring people away while the other isnt, in your opinion? If someone gets constantly deleted, because he plays bad and quits the game, I dont think it matters if he gets killed from DD torps, CV torps or BB AP. And seriously, looking at T4 atm, its much more likely, that you will be deleted from DD Torps or BB AP than anything else. Need that damage chart again... it would support my claim.

its easy to be right when you make it so easy to be right :) I wasnt so thick to claim that ships with 7.3 km air detection can use stealth AA whilst having an AA-range of 6,9 km. That was all you Buddy. And the other guy. You dont want to look stupid? Dont make stupid claims. And then cry when people call you out. How hard is that? Thats why you kept spamming. Cuz you dont care. Right.

YOU stomped Into a discussion between 2 people. YOU can NOT change the subject. Either you contribute to what has been said or you SHHHH. ffs millennials. PS: You even look more stupid now.

Buahahahahahahah Im literally laughing about you right now.

My god you fail so hard. I can do math. And WAY better then you can do reading, because THAT was the point of discussion: Do you still not understand? And I guess this goes for @Pikkozoikum aswell since you marked his post positive. Use your brains and try reading comprehension. Nobody will ever take you serious if you keep failing like this.
-
Except what you are refering to, is how it worked prior the CV/AA-rework. You missed the last weeks. Please dont spread wrong infos when you are not up-to-date.
-
What current stealth AA? How does a ship with 33 knots ambush planes with 220 knots speed? What "no counterplay"? A Mino literally explodes from one salvo by 75% of the ships in a game. Learn some teamplay, CVs aint solo warriors - anymore.

Server stats disagree with you.

I guess we have to wait and see how the flooding works out after the change. I expect a raised chance of getting floodings but who knows... About the maneuverability about planes: Its risky, to say atleast, to change all those things at the same time, since they interact and are connected heavily. (Air detectability, maneuverability and alpha damage). Yes, you can very quickly overstretch things this way. I hope they got it somewhat right. Its almost impossible to predict, how it will play out (also across the different tiers) so we have to ride along the balancing-train as it speeds up.

Sorry but your claim is bs. You have zero proof to back it up and expect people to take your word for it. Well, why do I wonder. These days, forum lives of insults and groundless claims, that need to be overstreched so far, they are near WWI-propaganda. Man and you were complaining about the forums? Then be part of the solution not the problem.
