Thats why we have achievements, that are deactivated or unachievable atm, missions, where you need those achievements to pass, sound bugs that make you want to ALT+F4 immediately (if you survive the shock moment that is) and a lot of other things. Tropico 6 early beta was way ahead of the state, wows is currently is.

    Well, @Beastofwar you clearly have no idea, what you are talking about. Maybe you should stay out of discussions like this one. Back to the topic at hand: For the long run, they will be in there. Everything else would be like a surrender from the point of WG. They´d basically admit, they cant come up with a workable solution. Or, they go the easy way out and bring us T9 clan battles. Or balance CVs somehow different for CBs, since 7x7, or 6+1 vs 6+1 if you want, brings its own challenges. As of this moment: Ill go with what you guys above said. It too early. Also, I wonder, how many of the clans do have a CV player on T10 already? That shouldnt be underestimate. Sure, they could and should enable rental CVs, or they pick a lower tier for a season, but still... and then there is KotS. It will give a first impression, what to expect.

    Why are you defending a player, that sabotaged his own team with teamkilling and refusing to play, @NothingButTheRain? Why does it matter, what ship he played of if there was an unicum CV in the other team? I had to play against 6 guys from top clans in one round yesterday, one of them with his recent 80+% WR Midway. Would it have been ok to kill my teammates and stop playing, because there was a super unicum CV in the enemy team?

    Can anyone recommend a line for me to grind?

    Well. Moskva was hard to play before they buffed the bow. Right now its really stupid easy, as long as you dont overextend too much and watch for DDs in your side. That said: Moskva isnt really my favourite cruiser in the russian line, rather the opposite. Its boring to play now but successful. You put your bow towards the enemy and look for juicy targets. The guns are awesome for that. If you feel more secure, you can roam around kiting. Which I dont like doing in the Moskva, its always risky. Late game you are a monster but thats usualy when your team has won anyway. The Henri however... Loves its open water. Or you can do crazy things. Support your DD against another DD with the reload booster - enemy DDs doesnt know what hits him. You can do the same, when you surprise ships around islands. Punish broadsides like there is no tomorrow. Or you invite a Stalingrad to your BBQ. Then you go fo IFHE-troll build and shredd Stalins with direct HE-damage and tons of perma fires. Which you will always get, thanks to the reload booster. Henri always gets its damage. And you even have Torps, which I personally love on cruisers. I always miss that on the Moskva. But for both counts: Dont you ever leave your broadside open. You are playing with fire. I once faced a Moskva, that thought, its a good idea to push around an island into my Minotaur. Right. I dont think he will do that again (and I did not need my torps) If you plan on playing mostly T10 after the grind, I´d go for the Henri.

    So hard when, there are no preferences given. Couple of lines that shine imo: French cruiser: alomst all of them are strong and fun - especially with the reload booster US cruisers: Quite some keepers in there, nice guns on the heavy cruisers, nice HE spam on the light. Russian cruisers: Line has some nice ships. Schorchs with IFHE can be crazy, Chapayev is one of my favourite cruisers in the game and Budyonny is the ultimate Operations-machine.

    @NekoGunner before you do anything else or even continue reading: you do that, what @Altsak wrote above. Yes, its that important and non-negotiable . Then play a couple of different ships and lines on T4. On T4 a lot of the game mechanics, that will be with your for the entire game, come into effect. At the same time matchmaking is not harsh. Go from there and ask yourself, what kind of gameplay aka class you prefer. Also: Youtube helps a lot. Flamu is a good start, his vids will show you strenghs of ships, what to do, what not to do and also how to skill your captain. You can learn a lot there. You can also post a couple of replays here. Someone sure will have a look at them and help you improve. But you might want to start with Youtube / Flamu, im sure you can get a lot of the basics from there.

    Thats what im suspecting aswell. Also, the way AA now works, can be a source of skill gap. People that dont know how to evade flak, will hardly get into the position of beeing able to drop. Indeed. And its hard to get meaningfull data at this moment. I now took a deeper look at that account aswell. Im actually suspecting a bot account. A few ships have low battle count and decent stats. Then you have ships like the Lexi or shima with 2500 games and absolute garbage stats. I actually hope for that player, that its a bot.
  15. Finaly I know who I can hold responsible! On a more serious note: Ive had alike salvos and for some reason, DoY/KGV are very prone to deal 0 dmg + take down a lot of module. I have a few screens, that look similar or even worse.

    No. I mean, f.e. in your situation, a BB is able to shoot the BB, which is shooting at the Cruiser, that doesnt have the range to shoot at the BB itself. Thats the difference, we are not playing 1vs1. Well first of all: We are talking CVs here. We throw coward BBs under the bus on a daily basis and you know, im in the first line there aswell. I dont see a reason to defend either of them. Ofc People also pick BBs because thats another coward class. About the revenge on BBs: are you sure about that? RTS CVs could punish BBs much heavier. Now even a Yamato can be an AA-fortress. Some of your tools even make you stay away from BBs, because you cant get any damage through (looking at you british HE bombs). And RU BBs are not going to improve that situations. No HE pens, no rocket pens, no DoT. xaxaxaxa. Yes, when you talk about WR, you are right. I was still refering to damage tho. The thing I sorted after. There it is right. Well. Thats the thing about statistics. Its easy to see the things you want to see, when you have your mind made up before looking at the numbers. They can often support anything you want. Also, as you say, having useless stats because of all the quick changes and players with low battle numbers doesnt help at all. We could maybe have a look at the people in the middle. I have a suspicion, that we see less people perform average now, then we saw with the old RTS CVs. Because we have some sort of a "either you make it or you dont" mechanic with the new CVs in place. Thats why I strongly disagree with MrConways approach of looking at averages. The average can be fine but it can be super-unbalanced at the same time. Lets make a really simple anology to show what I mean: I have 20 apples to feed 20 kids. Now when I give 10 kids each 2 apples, I can claim "I did feed them all, all apples are gone. On average, every kid got 1 apple". Doesnt change the fact, that half of the kids go home hungry.

    Please dont forget what we discussed before. Its a direct continuation of that. Those are the three worst players in said ships. You said, there is no dead weight anymore. So I showed you the worst, because if anything - that would be concidered as dead weight.

    I know its not funny. Thats what im saying all the time. What they have created isnt fun for anyone. How could it be? Like look at the options how to achieve balance. - Make attacking very hard. No matter how you do it, it will either be super frustrating but the best players will always manage. You have skill gap and frustrated majority. - Make attacking very easy. Now you need to nerf the damage super hard. Because if its very easy to attack, you would deal tons of damage. So it would need to be such a low damage, that its not OP. Like 500 dmg per torp? exciting. - Make planes slower? Super exiciting. Maybe have planes go at a speed of a DD. Then we can nerf AA and raise alpha damage. (thats another thing: the high plane speed needs high AA dps, because you only spend little time in AA. So little mistakes are punished hard). So then you can fly 5 mins over the map, strike one ship out and come back riiight in time for the ending screen. On top of that: For most players, playing against a CV feels more helpless then before. You have the feeling, that shooting down planes is useless and the CV comes over and over again. Cant even secure objectives. I dont see it. I just dont see it. Its too one-dimensional compared to the old RTS CVs. What made CVs interesting was the direct CV-to-CV gameplay. With fighters. Are you suggesting to "let a DDs slip"? Well, I honor your sense of fairness but honestly: keep dreaming.

    Indeed there is. In this current gameplay, that WG in their wisdom has created, we have the following situation (ill talk T10 now:) - CV hull is pretty much untouchable. Only idiots that dont move die, if one flank collapses. Hence we see huge survivability rates on CVs, around 80%. - Nothing is stopping you from attempting to attack. In RTS CVs times: that was the job of the fighters. They are pretty much gone. Conclusion: You cant win all of the air-to-surface attacks. You need to lose some of them. As in: completly, without beeing able to deal damage. If you would come out victorious out of all of them - class would be broken OP.

    If anything, if those players played during the first part, they should have done better. So im doing them a favor actually by including all stats. If I´d be looking at the top performers, your point would be absolutly valid - thats the reason I didnt. As stated before: Lexington is ~ same level as before. Also, I did sort after damage. You can have a look and sort after Winrate and you will see there is hardly any difference. (while typing I saw you did). And I didnt really post all of the data to make some kind of scientific, waterproof point. It was a direct message to MrConway and I dont need to tell them their own numbers (I hope). I was just letting him know, that people can check for themselfs and see the reality. Did you check for divisions? I actually didnt. Also the thing about having 2 (3) CVs per side now does influence the WR and should soften out the extremes a bit. But anyway. I would define both as them as dead weight. Dont think anyone would be happy with a 23,81% CV in his team, thinking "atleast he hasnt 17% WR". Anyway, lets leave it at that. Maybe new CVs arent that bad (by a small nouance), but I think we can agree on, that "but there is no crazy deviation from the stats where less-capable players suddenly become dead-weight." is not the correct way to describe the stats we are seeing. In all of those cases: someone else is able to shoot you. Dont deny the fact, that CVs have the highest survivability rate. By far. That is all to the Design of the class. Sorry to have to call it, but Nihilan is right - cowards hide in this class for exactly that reason. Its the same in every videogame, where such classes exist. Its the BF:BC sniper, that stays in the spawn. Its the Arty player from WiC, uselessly hiding in the back. And carefull before someone spills his hate on me again: I dont say everyone in a CV is a coward. Nope, not at all. But Cowards are picking the CV-class for a reason. Indeed they were not. The new ones are doing a good job in dishing out damage, eventho everything around DoT has been nerfed. Which, amusingly, leads to the conclusion, that their direct damage must be higher? Id like to see charts again, how the damage is distributed. Anyway. It proofes one point: People are oblivious to how they receive damage. They get one heavy blow and they completly ignore, that they havent been touched for minutes or from the other perspective, that the RTS CV didnt deal any damage for minutes. Same thing really. You saw this same discussion in the BB AP vs DD discussion. People complaining, that a BB could shave 10k+ from a DD. Yea. every 25+ seconds. Meanwhile, my Minotaur is ripping 3k on average from the DD. Every 3 seconds. That brings me close to 30k damage within one reload of a BB. Yet people saw the BB AP as a huge problem, because they couldnt connect the dots. It was this short time, between BB AP change and RTS rework, when DDs were OP AF. There is a lonly BB? lul. rush him. nothing he can do. I did it all the time. And thats why people, that whine so hard about "problems" that arent really problems, need to be told to shut up. Because for some reason, their constant whinging gets us deeper in the s%%%, as we see over and over again.

    Must be part of the "piss people off so they cash in on free XP to go to TX right away". Its now reaching a level tho, where people are too frustrated obviously - at both ends of the Flak. Had a game aswell right now, where my T8 CV complained about the mm and said he will be useless. I tried to calm him and told him, he should focus on DD spotting and later in the game his time for damage will come. Well. I cant complain, since he did what I asked him to do (lost over 20 planes against the T10 DDs while spotting them for me) but judging from the endscreen - he wont be happy? Honestly - I think we can stop talking about it. WG aint going to change this cascade-model. Higher tier ships now s*** on lower tiers. Im not going to take out my T6 DDs anymore as a reason of that and in the next thread, where someone asks "which premium ship should I buy" I will absolutly point this out, voiting for buying anything else but a =<T8 premium ship. WG stated: +/- 1 mm isnt going to happen. Try a Shinonome in T8 CV match. Or 2x CV match. You missed the patch.

    Yes... easy. You refer to PR. You need to understand, how PR gets caculated. PR is individual for each ship and it fluctuates. It composes of damage (mostly), kills and wins. So when you say "a Kidd with 10 k dmg has a 130 PR and same goes for a player in GZ with 33,6k dmg" you are literally comparing apples with ... a car. Kidd PR is Kidd PR. its only calculated for the Kidd. It has nothing to do with the PR of the GZ. Absolutly nothing.
