I think Random battles would improve, especially for ppl who play alone, or even for players who play 2-man division. Currently the worst scenario is something like one team has Midway, DM, Monty or similiar, and u got random noob CV... Divisions/teams should belong in their own gamemode imo. The reason why i dont want to play alone so much is because Divisions have the highest impact when it comes to deciding matches - be it positive or negative doesnt matter in the end.

Brr so much text, can hardly find the spots where u quoted me Uhm no. U know thats what WG did when looking at Conq stats? They only included players who have Conq + all other T10 BBs. So they see how the Conq performs compared to the other T10 BBs. If i have good stats in Hindenburg, doesnt tell WG anything if i will perform well in DM, Zao, Henri, Moskva... As i pointed out, this is questionable anyway, when the timespan between the games is so large that the player will have a better skill level so then those stats mean nothing. Still u need to compare them for each Tier individually. NC doesnt have better concealment than any T8 Cruiser. By that logic all T8 ships have better concealment vs T7 and T6 ships (they play against each other too) because they have the module, so nerf? Actually for DDs its pretty bad in that case... Also if i play Hindenburg i would gladly attack a NC who is the only one spotting me. But Conq? Not really... Unless i can get in torp range. I think ive said it before: Depends how u wanna play. The one gives u more resistent when already spotted, while the other is more preemptive. I make the decision based on the BB. Bismarck i use neither because Secondaries (yep im that nuts), MIssouri ofc Concealment first. I dont think ill use FP, i rather take AFT (btw i need 16 points because AR). NM i took FP because its slow. Nagato instead Concealment. Just to give some examples. BTW Cruisers who depend on IFHE pretty much got the same problem: Deal damage and be spotted earlier, or deal less damage but therefor be undetected... For me AR is mandatory on all ships (well except CVs ofc). Still my point stands: DE with 1% less fire chance and 1 point less doesnt really give u that much more combat ability. Cruisers have imo limited choises anyway, f.e. my Neptune currently is PM, AR, SI, CE and AFT (2 skills free). I dont take PT (when im out of smoke i expect to be shot at anyway), IFA... pff, EM i reskilled now when it was free, Mino doesnt need it... so where does it leave me? AFT to make crazy AA more insane and after that? BFT to go even more nuts? Vigilance... meh i dont like all those noobskills like PT, IFA, Vigilance. Only dumbing down the playerbase. No need to have an eye on the enemy ships, just look at what the screen is blinking into your face practically. The problem with skills like PT is, when u use it on some ships, it makes u think u are not getting targeted on a ship where u wont have it... Or Hindenburg as another example: Personaly im no fan of DE on german Cruisers (Yorck might be an exception). So i have PT, EL, EM, AR, SI, CE, BFT (i think its better than AFT)... last 3 points i most likely will put them in DE tho... dont see other options really.

Yep thats always funny. Had an Iowa (or was it NCal...) lately who pushed from A to B on Ice Islands (cant learn those friggin map names in WoWs) with a NO and some other ships following up. I rushed around the corner with Fiji after we managed to gun down the NO almost. Still kept shooting the NO, killed it, at 2,x km torped the BB, Mogami rushed around the corner with my dieing salvo killed him aswell. What did the BB say? Only because of Noob torps -
Id go for Hindenburg. Way more forgiving than Moskva and also very tanky. Also better concealment, since Moskva has the worse concealment than T10 BBs... Cant say much about Henri, but what ive heard it has very little impact on the game. But the troll-armor can work in your favor.

Ive come to the conclusion that most problems occur because of Divisions... maybe Divisions should just not be allowed in RANDOM battles (basicly what the name already implies). But when WG can only offer a limited time for CB... what can u expect?

Yep, definetely. Been saying similiar things aswell. I can understand damage saturation for the superstructure, but other parts shouldnt have it imo. And ofc the false advertising of a damage ribbon resulting in 0 damage is just frustrating at best. Thats just how human brain works i guess . In the end u will remember those situations more often than an overpen doing much more damage, and dealing 0 damage with a pen ribbon will always feel worse...

U just described flaws in the current Maps on highertiers. Which are commonly known but WG doesnt seem to care. Look at Okinawa f.e. Everyone wants to be smart and says take B+C for win ignoring that CAs with bad concealment cant really do anything there. Watched Flamu couple of days ago with Moskva... guess how useful he was? Wasnt because he lost... But thats the problem. Shoot from maxrange and accomplish very little or rush in and die because u cant hide or turn back. And look at how many bad maps are on highertiers, they u know why Cruisers struggle. Thats why i like North - because u can help your DDs at B and C. Unfurtunately so many ppl go to A/D which may leave u vulnerable in the center of the map also... Then its ok

The problem is - how can anyone show that? The fact that almost all the time the matches consist of 5vs5 BBs makes looking at stats pretty hard. Also the fact that the worst players seem to play BB, which makes sense because u can live the longest, which will lower overall stats like damage done and kills. And also that no matter what BB, most wallet warriors will just buy it because BB, so there are plenty individual BBs around to normalize the stats. U would need a BB which basicly noone is playing to see if its overperforming - doesnt exist, many ppl hop on the BB-train. F.e. it exists for other ships like Flint or Black, which mr potato cant get his hands on (or hardly can). The only way is to look how BBs perform for individual players compared to other BBs or even other classes. With a reasonable amount of games AND played within a certain timeframe to compensate the increase in skilllevel. Can hardly use myself as evidence, but its an indicator: Look at Orion: Basicly highest WR compared to amount of matches (only taking a backseat to CVs - which makes sense). Very high avg damage, on par with T7 BBs. Highest avg kills per match compared to amount of matches. The problem is, i cant compare it to my other T4 BBs. Kaiser i played first of them all, so i was a newbie back then. Wyoming i played later, thus it has better stats already, because i already was a better player. Myogi cant be looked at - it has only 1 match played (and ill never touch it again btw). 2nd problem with that is, that when i played Kaiser and Wyoming, Orion didnt exist, which is OP for its tier. And when u look at overall Orion stats its not even that special except maybe damage done. But explanation above why its like that. One could also say, Myogi is just exceptionally bad - which is ofc true.

I think there is a video on YT where a Yamato needs 9 salvoes against a broadside Henri IV to kill it... question is working as intended? A RN CL... yes probably it can shoot an infinite amount of shells against certain parts and never cause any damage, tried it myself.

Do u have a personal agenda against me? I wasnt the one talking about historic or RL stuff... i quoted someone, who said, how to balance something which was STRONG IRL! Only showing that BBs were not strong IRL... And this is still a game - WG can do what they want if they feel the need to balance the game. Bad enough that they gave CVs close to RL number of planes... btw about strong BBs: I think u know Yamato?... look how it got sunk... thats powerful to u? lolz

Had this happen aswell (one star missing after a victory) several times. And i dont have many ranked games. Usually after the next game its correct: Either u get 2 stars for a victory, or dont lose one for a loss. Thats how it went for me. Never got betrayed, only seemed bugged... happened even to flamu when i was watching his stream couple of days ago, but after next game it was correct again.

Well many RN BBs do spam HE - cant really deny that. And yes, other stupid BB player started spamming HE too as a result. Which means RN BB HE is pretty strong and might result in threads like these -

How can someone say this who plays Cruisers the most? Fires arent a problem for Cruisers so much anymore since the duration got lowered to 30 sec. Fires are no prob for BBs either, because they can heal it 100%. Just dont repair the first fire, especially when u have full HP. If u are low on health ofc then u can repair one fire... would be senseless to die to a fire and DCP ready... Or did u encounter too many RN BBs -
At some point also Damage saturation. Of French Cruiser have spaced armor, they "eat" damage...

Several reasons: - Despite everyone saying its 5vs5 BBs its ofc not necessarily true. It just happens very often. Still there can be an uneven amount of BBs per game like 2vs3 or so. - If Tirpitz has WR below 50% that means: The team with more Tirpitz's loses more often / Tirpitz's are played by worse players / its a bad ship compared to the other same tier ships. MM does stupid things like 2 Bismarck on one team and 2 Tirpitz on the other team, so naturally one of them gets 100% WR and the other 0% WR.

Since when where BBs powerful IRL? They were just symbols of the strength of one nation basicly... thats why they got powercreeped by CVs who were far superior than those fat sluggish BBs... Or are nations still using BBs? Look around.. nope. Its CVs, Subs and so on... Also i know one solution: GIve them RL dispersion with <3% Hitrate

If the plan for removing stealth fire was in place before the German DDs were launched, there was no need to falsely give them the ability - and take it away later on. To make this more evident: If WG would release a DD line with good torps today and is planning to remove torpedoes from the game in 2 weeks, then it would be kinda stupid wouldnt it? What about BBs which are easy to citadel? Like Nagato f.e. or IJN in general? Why is this game made for the mentaly challenged? U see this braindead behaviour with german BBs and RN BBs because what is Angling? Is that something to eat? The problem is, cruiser get punished for that - BBs doesnt. Or WG just doesnt want us to play older lines (IJN BBs, all Cruisers) and rather play german/RN BBs (impossible/hard to citadel) or French Cruiser (0 damage broadside against Cruisers / overpens vs BBs) so we can all derp around and lick the windows at A1. U could park nose in all day with almost any BB vs almost any BB... NC is not the same tier as Conqueror. Ok i admit, its not ok, NERF all BBs detection range Doesnt make sense anyhow that the T8+ ships wont have really much worse detection since they get the module. Still the detection gets worse the higher tier u are (except the break at T7-T8 and some stupid ones like Edin -> Nept ->mino). Hipper has better concealment than Hindenburg, so its ok for interaction between Hipper -> NC but not Hindenburg -> Conq. I was argueing against them before they were released so... and i was right, they are broken/OP and promote selfish play. The latter ive whitnessed several times already. They have high WR because average BB doesnt play DD, hightier PA-DDs are played by good players, and they are pretty much OP. T4, T7 and T9/10 from what ive seen in game. Since there are only max 4 point and not 5 point skills anymore did that really change much? Still its worse than before. Its not like i can have another skill which gives me additional fire chance. I just can have more AA f.e. Not every Cruiser benefits from IFHE. Still they rely on fires. And better than before i think? Forgot how it was before the change. Yes as i said, but the question still remains, are they viable in the current meta. AA build is ofc always questionable with the lack of CVs in game. Yet Fire is basicly a thing in every game. So decide if u want protection every game, or protection every x game.

U cant look at WR like that. How can they have a good WR when they are playing 5vs5 BBs all the time? And with Tirp/Bismarck usually having several in each match? If its 3vs3 then they MUST have 50% WR for that specific match. If its 3vs2 and the team with the 2 Bismarck wins, well then they got only 40% WR for this match ofc... The less matches a ship has, combined with gettint really strong, then they will have a high WR because the ship doesnt encounter the same ship often on the enemy team, which would lower the WR. MIssouris WR is expected to take a nose dive now, because lately there are like 2-3 Missouris on each team. They cant have a high WR then.

If others get nerfed, the question is, who benefits the most from it? F.e. the stealth fire removal (as i mentioned in the other Thread), because someone said, Cruisers benefit the most from the removal... Total nonsense ofc, because usually a DD would shoot a BB from stealth, not a Cruiser. Or lets take IJN Cruiser (i think they could fire from stealth?) would u rather shoot a slower, bigger, more sluggish BB at 16-17-18 or so km with shell flighttime at 12 sec (i guess), or a nimble Cruiser? Who most likely could stealth up/run and hide/evade the shots? - Lowered Citadel for hightier US BBs: Totaly stupid buff not needed - RN BBs with crazy concealment, HE, Heal, harder to citadel as US BBs.... They should be in the list, only because they dont need to be buffed anymore doesnt mean they are balanced. Where are other classes with same amount of strongpoints? dont exist... RN CLs have good Concealment (lets exclude neptune i think) and same heal, but a Citadel which gets hit by looking at it, not to mention how bad they are till leander. About the captain skills: No, its not a buff to every class. Lets take DE which gives u only 2% instead of 3%. Did u use that on BBs? ofc not (well maybe RN BBs could use it now i guess lol). Every Cruiser focusing on HE and DD was nerfed. Who was main target of Fire damage? BBs. Who profits from it? Fire prevention - which class needs it the most? BBs. Cruisers need other skills, aswell as DDs. Using Fire prevention on a DD would ofc be total nonsense, by that time they would have been dead anyway. Cruisers ofc are also prone to be set on fire, but AP is still far more devastating to them. With the buff to fire duration, the skill would be a total waste on Cruisers too. Still they need the points elsewhere. Sure there are builds for BBs on which u cant take FP, f.e. secondary german BB. Question is - is it still viable? (and not Cruisers are to blame - its RN BBs!). But Cruisers are supposed to be AA, so skilling AFT or similiar is more needed for them.

Ye but in the end, where is the difference? Its ofc just my personal view, but BBs are supposed to take the heat. If they sat in smoke or behind the smoke before the change didnt really make a difference spotting wise. Made only a difference getting torped, yes to that i can agree (if they were to run out before). But what does it mean again? Less teamplay as @ForlornSailor said... so in the end, is it really good? Usually in the endgame (when its not a roflstomp) there arent so many ships around anymore, so rushing a smoke gets more viable. Just lately we had a match on Twobrothers (we played double Fiji), we split up to left/right side. Most of the team went my side (where D usually is, but it was Standard) or camped in the base in the middle. My side was practically empty, but enemies came from the A side pushing. I relocated to help there. What did our moron team do? Push the other flank and all the center campers went with them... thx. In the end we were 4 vs almost entire team, which we managed to kill most of it. But in the end it was us fijis + Cleveland vs Nicholas and GC. I have Radio on Fiji, so i knew where the nicholas was. 1 of us rushed the Nicholas out, so he spotted basicly, and got shot at. Nicholas managed to torp him in the end. GC was getting closer all the time, had to fight him without smoke (because CD), managed to survive long enough. When smoke came up, i smoked, but the debuff didnt disappear so he shot me again i was almost dead. Thx to cleveland plane we could spot him, but he could spot us aswell because he was that close. Lucky RNG was on our side so he didnt kill me. And lucky that his Yorck abandoned him and didnt push then we would have been dead. Neptune has 6,4km smoke concealment f.e. Im uploading a match where a GK was pushing me down hard at C on north, and it was nailbiting in the end. The only thing which saved me that i got permaflooding + fire on him. otherwise i would have been toast. Fiji and Edinburgh cant deal with that, because 3 torps tickle a BB nose at best... Neptune and Mino can deal with it better yes. Basicly everyship has built in hydro against a smoke ship nowadays. Thats what i meant. If the target cant shoot anyway, then where is the difference. U only need to evade his torps, if u have a plane, its doable (also depending which ship sits in smoke). And when u are that close, the cruiser cant get undetected if he tries to flee. I know one game which i could only win because i could stealth fire with my BB in smoke... other than that it was never a problem for me as i mentioned. Imo it was ok to use when the game was won anyway. And the last lone camping BB on your flank was around so u could get some damage in. Trying to stealthfire with the majority of the team alive might aswell backfire, when u get spotted by a DD. But BBs kept whining against that, because they couldnt punish the target shooting them, despite it being a loss anyway. If u play a Cruiser without Hydro, maybe u should rush his smoke? So it might have been more than assured detection, and with german Hydro u could spot him before he could spot u. I would never rush a smoke in a cruiser without hydro... The problem with BB vs BB punishment is RNG and Armor ofc. Cruiser can get punished at any range, and 2 citadels are enough anyway to cripple him (maybe RN CLs not so much). But the 2 cruisercitadels compared to a BB might aswell be only 8k damage, so not a problem for him. I couldnt punish broadsiding Gneisenau and Scharnhorst with my Missouri several salvoes because RNG said no... French cruisers for u it is the i guess. Atleast till T6 it seems to be hard to citadel - even pen when he is full broadside. Maybe Algerie classfies aswell - not too sure about it.
