Thats basicly the Problem: WG wants those ppl to get XP. Because they need it to get to higher tiers - where they will lose Credits. WG doesnt want players to earn credits tho. Then there is the need to buy a Premium ship or Premium Camo or exchange doubloons for Credits. WIN-WIN-WIN? Advance in the tech-tree no matter how bad u are, but dont have credits to buy stuff. Thats the best way for WG me thinks.

If its an option: Dont buy a T8 Premium Cruiser? MM is mostly crap, especially for Cruisers, which lets u see a lot of T9/10 matches, occasionally might be almost only T8 but rarely its T7 or even T6. Prinz Eugen is straight up garbage (why deny the obvious?). Hasnt really going anything for it. Slow reload, HE has good penetration but sucks otherwise, AP is awesome but only vs flat broadsides, Torps are almost for Yoloing only, Turtleback works only at closer ranges. Only thing it has is the armor which lets u bowtank Bismarck/Tirpitz/monarch (if he shoots AP^^) + same nations lower tier ships + New mexico and Fuso (and the odds of seeing those is low). Even Atago has been powercreeped a lot imo. The reload is horrible, current meta everyone is running away or hiding, your range is bad, Torps + stealth are awesome and thats what it comes down to basicly. But the same problem occurs when every ship is running away from u. Atago works best when they are following u... which doesnt really happen that often anymore.

Imo other changes promote this aswell. Look at the new lines/ships they make. First they change the smoke mechanic, then they make a line which is able to PERMASMOKE. For whom is the smoke? Can only be for yourself... In general PA-DDs are low-teamplay high-selfish ships. Your torps cant hit DDs, so when u go to a cap, and spot a DD, the enemy DD has no fear of getting torped, thus doesnt need to take evasive actions. What does that conclude? Better dont go to a cap. Go around and hunt the BBs in the back = selfish play, and ive seen those already several times. DDs with Hydro/Radar, BBs with Hydro/radar, Insane AA values for certain ships, which arent necessarily cruisers!
-
One would call this view as pretty biased. Ships sitting behind island stealth firing? Its 0 risk with pressing a button... Sitting in smoke shooting? Pretty much the same with a little chance of getting shot at /torped, less if u are a DD. BBs shooting from >20km without the fear that someone might target him? 0 Risk involved, just hope for RNG. Radaring a ship from behind an island might yield u nothing, when your team is too stupid to shoot the target.

This. Never sell anything when there is a sale on. F.e. when certain ships have a discount, never sell those ships as u will get less credits selling them.

Which got pretty much thrown over bord once they introduced PA-DDs. Still even 1 Torpedo hit can decide your game when u play a CA, while a BB has much more health + Torpedo damage reduction. I never understood why the torpedo is setting the rules for being detected. Why cant it be class depended? Cruisers have a higher spotting range for torps f.e., while BBs have a smaller one. DDs maybe in between.

Would someone explain 'heal' mechanics and repairs, please?
DFens_666 replied to LittleGentleman's topic in General Discussion
Im not sure if i understand the question, but ill just explain as it works. Certain damage types can be healed to different % values. f.e. u get a hit to citadel u can heal less % (10%) than from a fire (100%). http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Consumables#Repair_Party what video are u talking about? -
The Psychological Game (with myself...)
DFens_666 replied to Brandometer's topic in General Discussion
Not sure about those bad game streaks but i think the best way to get better is: Know what u can do with your ship. Dont be too afraid of the enemy, it could be a potato Being scared and run and hide might get u killed, while a torp run might get u the kill and u survive. Making a play at the right moment might get u the upper hand in the match, while doing a move too early might just get u killed and put your team at a disadvantage. Also the best way to win games is: Focus the enemy DDs and help your own. When your team has no DDs and the enemy has one/some left, it tends to get very hard unless the DD misplays. -
Who makes u drop the cruiser using DefAA? Its not like its on always... But with your superior knowledge playing CV u know this i guess?! Try some AP Bombs on lets say moskva and see how it hits the ocean floor. Tell that to those poor Donskois who seem to spawn always in the center of Hotspot. With their awesome concealment they usually get detected showing full broadside and every time i get this map + in my Missouri i managed to hit them for almost 40k Which is a death-sentence basicly. Basicly im asking for Cruiser buffs, that ppl like u can be more valuable for the team, but w/e...

WG fix [edited]BB AP against DDs already

I rather think: Am i the only one who think he plays like a noob? -
Litereally took you 5 minutes to reply to my first post of the day... Another one with flawed perception As i said - why is there a need for it? I even went on and explained in my last post why both your oppinions arent entirely correct in the current state of the game. Its nice that CVs are supposed to counter BBs, but how does it work out when there isnt a CV for x games?
-
Doesnt matter what my other posts say, when i quote someone who uses an arguement which is none at all. CVs cant be a real counter to BBs since there is not a CV in every game. He cant use himself as an example when he plays CV. He is not every CV in every match. And this becomes more true when he uses a T10 CV, since there is no tier above it. A Midway can deal better with T10 BBs than a Lexington can f.e. Also with the AA some BBs have they cant be countered by a CV properly. Doesnt matter that IJN have worse AA than other nations, because there are so many different nations out there by now, u might get games with only German and US BBs.
-
What does that have to with somone saying that one particular (T10) CV is strong against T10 BBs If i play 10 matches BB and i never see a CV then how does a CV effect me? It doesnt. But if he plays 10 matches Midway then ofc he effects all the BBs in those matches.

But its impossible! Gneisenau cant overmatch 27mm armor because the caliber needs to be 14,3x bigger than the armor. Gneisenau only got 380mm guns so i thought i was perfectly save bow tanking him... how wrong i was. On the positive note bowtanking Bismarcks usually works The Missouri vs GK: Same thing, 32mm plating can only be overmatched by Yamato... So i dont know what the hell he did... i wouldve understand a couple of k damage because i think one bullet hit my superstructure but 12k? in the nose... Not possible according to game mechanics.
-
This perception is ofc flawed because YOU are playing the CV then. But when u have 10 games without CV and then u get one it doesnt really matter that much. Even less when u are a T10BB and the CV is T8.
-
Well technically id say its impossible to make a Cruiser be like that. Because there would be plenty of other Cruisers around which would be equally strong. The easiest way to get rid of all that BB/CL crap we get on the forums would be to have LESS THAN 5 BBs IN EACH GAME! More cruisers = more fun games. Cruisers cant go 1v1 against one another without getting atleast some damage in return. Usually atleast. Close combat sure it can happen, and depends if the other cruiser player is just dumb and shows broadside all the time. But on mid-longrange.. nope. Because getting citadels then is not that easy, and they dont deal 13-14k damage like BB cits. But a good BB player can tank a bad one very easily and deal xxk damage on him when he shows enough broadside, which means the good BB is fully (or almost) intact after that engagement. I rather question the weirdness of the damage mechanics lately in that regard. Best one so far is me (roon) bowtanking a Gneisenau and he citadels me... In the end the most reasonable explanation was that he penetrated my 25mm torpedobulges basicly under my ship... But just today i was playing Missouri bowtanking a GK and he did 12k damage on my nose.. wait what? I think the game is just trolling all of us and does at it sees fit at that moment.
-
Id say depends on the ship. Playing BB u can stare at the Minimap all the time since u dont have much to do in those 20-30 secs your guns are on reload. Playing Cruiser u need to watch the minimap constantly also but u need to shoot, angle, evade torps and all that stuff too (when u are detected). Also the faster u shoot, the harder it is to watch the Minimap. DakaDaka Neptune in smoke makes u easily distracted DDs similiar to Cruisers id say, but not that much since u will be undetected more often. But knowing where enemy DDs and Radar ships are is ofc vital. CVs well.. ye they got some time in between sometimes, but mostly they need to know where are AA ships and where is the next target going. Other than that its focusing on the squads and fighting enemy planes and so on.
-
For one individual person BB might be frustrating at some times because of RNG - atleast thats how its for me (just today 1 match Missouri... several salvoes at perfect broadside Cruisers, i barely got 1citadel, which was one last salvo before match end against Mogami... other than that basicly only overpens, i wonder how i did almost 100k damage lol). Lucky, there are 10 BBs per match (usually) and its enough if 1 of them gets RNGesus on his side to evaporate u. It doesnt help me when 4 of the BBs miss or deal abysmal damage, when the last BB unloads his shells into my Citadel then my day is done anyway... Thats the problem with BBs. There are just too many of em. They can be all over the place which makes angling at all times impossible. If they lemming train to one side of the map, then u can roam free on the other side most likely, but that isnt fun necessarily... Depends what the other enemies are doing then.
-
I tried to tell him that right at the start of the discussion, that this logic doesnt make sense...
-
WG pages for other countries doesnt say game about battleships, it says about warships. So guess its targeted mainly for German/english scrub
-
If u cant understand why this is IMPOSSIBLE, there is no reason to argue with u.
-
Nope, WG.EU actually got it right (just search for WoWs or World or warships... heck i tried world of battleships and it works fine LOL)
-
The only real problem is, that BBs do get to stealth up between salvoes, while both DDs and Cruisers cant. I could live with 20 secs for DDs and CAs if BBs would get 30 or = reload of guns.
-
My team didnt deserve to win this... Even when it was 0 Stars better then a loss XP wise i think. Rarely see that kinda crap. Leander steaming full ahead into first wave, i spot torps, he catches them - half dead. I tell him, smoke up, ill spot for u... guess what? nope takes next salvo of spotted torps. De Grasse full ahead in the middle of the map full broadside - dies. Cleveland and Nürnberg died aswell broadsiding, then the DD and last the NM who was sailing behind rocks nowhere near the action, and nowhere near the base either. Had to hide in the base, then keep running and killing the Cruisers which came for me. On a positive note: Forts are better than your whole team combined. They killed all the DDs, helped me with AA...

TYVM Wargming for TB mission - game ruined
DFens_666 replied to G01ngToxicCommand0's topic in General Discussion
Once again most ppl dont understand that its not about the ability of the enemy CV / the inability of one self, but rather the inability of the friendly CV(s). And no, its not ok that sometimes u get the Good CV, sometimes the bad CV (its like detonations), which is also less true when u start playing in a Division. Good CV players tend also to play Divisions, so the chance of playing against a good CV division while playing in a Division yourself is pretty high. U can work around most stuff, but having a Potato-Carrier on your team and a Sealclubber CV on the enemy team (guess there are more of them around today) is pretty much something u cant influence at all. Yes u might be able to dodge his drop, but when u have a Good AA ship he most likely wont target u anyway (good CV u know?). In the end he can roam free, spot DDs, kill them, kill any target wandering off alone, while your windowlicker CV takes the entire game to fly around the map border to "strike" the enemy CV, which they usually never accomplish, because they are just too dumb. Thats fun for u? For me it isnt.
