Rewarding Good players on Losing Teams

This is the worst thing implemented anyway, and should be removed IMMEDIATELY. Ppl dont play to win, they play NOT to lose a Star. So there is options a) get carried to a win or b) dont lose a Star because i camped in the back sniping like a selfish bastard.
  2. U do know if ppl wouldnt hold their fire that the guy would have been dead EARLIER ?... Im not saying that this happens all the time, but it does happen, and when a division does it, its totaly unacceptable. Thats why i remember it so vividly. LOL Been called Bot once for doing 5 kills, 170+k damage with Missouri and i believe atleast 1 cap (could have been 2 tho). Just because i didnt rush in and die like a moron. It always depends ofc. Usually BBs are the ones holding their fire as i have come to realize. Yes, can make sense in some situations, but sometimes its just bad. And not shooting for more than your reload is just...
  3. Sure, in general your statement is correct. However, this gets totaly thrown over board when ppl are ACTIVELY not shooting! I cant understand how ppl are blind to this. I try to be as aware as possible what my team is doing. Noone shooting full broadside ships because reason? Why? What is making you hold your fire? Hopefully another low target suddenly popping up? As i said in my other post: There is a difference if my guns are always reloading and i get a kill from a low HP ship which is fleeing, and someone who is sitting 6km behind his friendly BB who is tanking the enemies and u wonder when is your team actually helping u? And u grind him down to <5k health and suddenly the enemy is engulfed in a fountain of water because it feels like 40 shells are simultaniously splashing around/hitting him. @xxNihilanxx is right about that Torpedo stuff. And CVs doing it is the worst. Towards the end when enemies are scattered around on the map, its effing useless to drop that burning low HP BB with your Torpedo bombers, when there is still another half full HP BB a couple of km behind him... Ive literally lost games because of crap like that. Not to mention ive lost several kills because torpedoes (several) were milliseconds away from hitting and another one is suddenly blapping the target. But i wouldnt even say its too bad when the target has lots of health left. But sometimes u do Yolo runs and u tell your team u get it, u launch torps, and suddenly the target is down to <8k health and u wonder "why did i do that again?"
  4. Yes, i think most ppl on the forums know it, that u get the XP for dealing the most damage - but because we are just humans, and we dont "see" what we get for dealing that damage, it always makes u feel a bit sad for not getting a reward for it. Just human nature id say that u feel u should get something when u tried your best.

    Matchmaking

Go back to playing lowertiers, preferable T3-T5 and learn the game better. High tiers is nothing for u - u are a liability to your team because u are struggeling to pulling half your own weight. Why would u think u deserve to win more when u do almost the same damage on T4 and on T9? Where is probably double the amount of HP floating around. Mistakes on higher tiers are punished much more than on lower tiers, so u have to know what u CAN do with your ship, and what u shouldnt do. Seeing your Survivability is pretty high, your hitrate rather low id say u stay faaaaar behind and try to hit at maxranges doing close to no damage. Also having no effect on the outcome of the match, when u play a Radar Cruiser (Baltimore) and u cant utilize your Radar at that ranges...
  6. There is a difference between killing the enemy which is running away, and holding fire like FOREVER to wait until one target is low enough to kill it. Then u get ppl with several kills and lucky when they are in the middle of the pack XP wise after the match.... In a time where ppl think service costs are still tied to damage received, dont u think ppl are deliberately killsecuring? Thats like playing totaly blindly. Ive called ppl out for that, and after watching them more closely, they sure did that. U cant hold your fire only to shoot low targets. Look at some bad players streaming on twitch, and u see it does happen. Either give the one who did the most damage a "kill-assist" ribbon or just give the kill ribbon straight to the one doing the most damage and the other gets the "kill-assist" Both would be fine imo, and ppl who work their buts of do deal with high health targets get some form of reward.
  7. Didnt say they should get "punished" so to say. The best options would be to just be able to avoid that - but WG doesnt implement that either. We would need like Clanwars all the time, for all tiers. Just basicly rooms where u can join and collect teams to play x vs x with Tier x. With rewards and stuff, not like training room where u get nothing... Randoms should truely be random - without divisions that is.
  8. Unfurtunately, this is true and makes sense... But we would definetely need some teamgame mode than which works also for less than 7ppl from one clan. Could be 12v12 with waiting rooms where u can pick players/teams or so?
  9. Yes, its not that easy to spot, but certainly does happen. Pay attention to how it takes sometimes effort to grind a ship down, when it feels u did 80% alone and when the ship is near death suddenly bullets start flying in from all over the map? Coincidence? Cant be... BB reload is far too long for that. Especially BBs are holding their shots, thats when u get those low damage output games where it feels like your team is doing nothing...

How to handle people like this?

Yes i understand that it cant be an immediate effect, would be bad. But on the other hand: Good to know
  11. DFens_666

How to handle people like this?

Can u guarantee us that this actually does anything? The only thing ppl know is that reporting for misbehaviour in chat is getting chat banned. Basicly doing that "hurts" more since u know it does something. Reporting someone for being AFK when u are uncertain if it does anything is kinda meaningless...
  12. If ppl would work like they are playing WoWs, they probably would get fired immediately... Currently there is no "mechanic" which makes u play better. No matter how bad u play, u WILL progress to whatever it is u want. Especially doing certain missions will make u play worse rather than better. Then u get totaly delusional players who think they are awesome and it is always the teams fault. But thats what u get when u turn the game into this. When they think, surviving the longest, hugging the border is playing "correctly" while letting your team die because 3 toptier BB division is holding the outer borders from the map that it wont collaps @El2aZeR is right: Giving ppl the means to play how the developers think it should be played (i dont even believe that anymore) will never work. Ppl decide how they play the game. If they think they are right/achieve their goals (being it doing Missions or getting the next Tier ship) they will NEVER change their playstyle. But WG works in the different direction by reducing skill and letting RNG handle everything.

Radar and Tier V & VI

Clearly they hug the border because of Radar...
  14. Still if everyone would need to constantly do more damage than he has himself, how can it be maintained? There is a hard limit to HP floating around in every game. And to that example with the Yamato: When does it count? lets say i have 100k avg dmg in Izumo, i get Yamato. I detonate in my first game doing 0 damage. Am i allowed to play that Yamato? What if i fall below that with my avg damage at some point? Must i go back to T9? can i even play T10 again? How would it work out as in EVER?

The damage potential of HE and RN BB's

The repair party is based on ships maximum HP. If a ship with 0,5% healing/sec has a maximum health of 1000, he would heal 5 HP/sec, repair party being active for 28 secs would be total: 140 HP in one heal. BBs got way more HP than Cruisers, so they will heal much more than a Cruiser can with one heal. Basicly all BBs have the same Repair party, except Colorado, Warspite, Nelson, Lion and Conqueror.
  16. ... did u think this one through before posting? If in any match someone does lets say 200k damage, how much is floating left around for the other ships in his team?
  17. Ye thats why i said, i dont know any^^ Ofc i heard about most of what u listed - but they are still basicly unknown to me. And thats the problem imo. Tirpitz and others will ALWAYS attract more ppl than WW1 ships.
  18. Im agreeing in general with what u are saying, the skill level is dropping more and more, and i dont know how its possible but it somehow is. Back to the quote: The problem is, the famous ships are in higher tiers, due to the fact that T8+ ships are the end of WW2 Era ships... Many ppl know Bismarck/Hood/Yamato etc... so its natural to want to play them. Why would u want to play something like Mikasa? Its not as known as other ships + ofc its a bad ship in the game U would need to have like WW1 ships to get prems for lower tiers, and i dont know how many "famous" ships are left to implement - i dont know any. And that what @domen3 said... waaaaay to many games.

Chat Spamming: What will he get?

That doesnt look like a normal person could do this - looks like a Bot spamming the minimap imo? I dont see that u can click so many places and have them all active at the same time
  20. I think secondaries need a rework anyway. Imo the problems are: - U need Manual Secondaries basicly, but then only one side of the ship is shooting. I think thats bad. Either u should mark 2 enemies as priority target, OR the other side should act like not having the manual Secondaries skill. - Secondaries aim at the belt. Most stupid thing ever imo. If u have another target than a BB inside your secondary range, its better to target that, while Cruiser are the best target. They are rather big and usually lightly armored that the secondaries can pen most of him. DDs will evade most of the shots. But BBs will just shrug off the bullets. That means u would have to count on fires. Thx to fire chance lowered at some point, u cant count on that anymore, so they are often pretty useless against BBs, thats how i have felt numerous times in my Bismarck. Sure when u are lucky and get several fires + he uses DCP. But since u cant count on that one, u cant play to it since its so heavyly RNG dependant. Maybe the fire chance should get buffed again now that Cruisers/DDs have lower fire duration? - Secondaries shouldnt break rudders/engines. Not sure if thats implementable, but i feel its worse than getting set on fire or the damage itself. - Secondaries shouldnt score citadel hits. Who is the only one getting punished by that? Cruisers. So it needs to go imo.

Radar and Tier V & VI

I can basicly understand the reasoning behind your arguement, but atleast for Indianapolis it cant be translated into the game. I have lots of games especially at T7, and i dont remember seeing Indianapolis often. All in all its not that good of a ship, and it also cant use Radar once it is detected, unlike Belfast. Belfast on the other hand has major advantages over other Radar ships, and that is Concealment = Radar range + Smoke. Where other radar ships would maybe struggle, he can just smoke up and get undetected. Yep... CVs are far worse than Radar ships. But ppl dont understand to behave differently when CVs are around, so i cant understand the outcry about Radar lately. The amount of DDs rushing blindly into "bad" caps when a CV is in the match is huge. Even when u tell them not to do it, they still proceed, get plane spotted and then its basicly lost already. If your own CV cant fight him off, u are dead. U can smoke up and delay the almost unavoidable. a) the planes will hover over the smoke until it runs out b) if u leave the smoke he will spot u again c) enemy DDs can force u to leave the smoke with torps or kill u. d) if there is a Radar ship he knows exactly where u are so he can pinpoint his radar on your location. There are only a couple things wrong with Radar: Belfast -> Concealment = Radar + Smoke. Having better concealment than Radar range is atleast questionable for other ships, but they cant play as aggressive as a Belfast. Uneven amount of Radar ships between teams. Radar on Missouri and DDs. And 2 of those will never get changed...

    torp detection range

Those DDs http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Ships_of_Pan-Asia with those Torps https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/138545-notser-deep-water-torpedoes-finalized/

    Fair play in ranked

Id correct that: A good player most likely wouldnt have the need to do that. Not sure what bracket that ranked was, but if its not Premier league id say its more likely a good player will keep his star and will play for the win, not for maintaining stars.

    Summary of North Cape

http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:New_Year's_Raid Did exist in the New Years Raid Campaign - the restrictions are wrong on the wiki tho, u were supposed to do it in DDs

Roma - pay to win at MAX

Yamato 70k damage one Salvo from my Missouri. And that was "only" 5 Citadels. The problem is, Yamato is not good at brawling. Or u really have to be bow on all the time, which works against every ship except Yamato/Musashi. Even showing angled Broadside makes u vulnerable to get citadelled below your front turret. Hitting lots of Citadels close range is by far impossible:
