    - Mistakes arent punished as badly. - BB range is far lower combined with less turrets/barrels (in general) with worse dispersion, means u cant get punished from the other side of the map. - Dieing early means massive credit losses, at that instance it doesnt matter too much if u use Prem acc when u dont live long enough to make any. - Look at T10 ships compared to T6 f.e. Montana, Minotaur, DM... they are pretty crazy in the right hands.Compare what u have from T5-T7, f.e. the DPM difference, or accuracy difference. NM has same amount of guns than Montana, but Montana is capable of eating Cruisers at basicly any range, while NM is a shotgun. - Hightier DDs have more torps, which means they have the possibility of punishing other DDs/Cruisers better than on lower tiers. Torps are a bit faster usually. I wouldnt say they punish BBs more, since we all know how much hightier BBs receive damage from torps - Radar gives the possibility to spot enemy DDs even when your own DDs are playing like selfish bastards. - Radar adds complexity to the game, meaning u cant just go ANYWHERE and expect to get away with it. Thats for me the reasons why hightier differs so much from lowertiers.

    I rather would question the relevance of that? First: Get so close to a Yamato Second: Make him not look at you Third: DONT torp him! Forth: Disable his guns because u can Clearly irrelevant for balancing purposes...

    Ye well then WHO IS CAMPING ACTUALLY? BBs - We agree they camp no matter what. Check CVs - they cant camp. Check Cruisers - Radar Cruisers are pushing for caps, but u say they camp behind islands. Cruiser have to camp behind islands because they get blapped by BBs otherwise. cruisers camp in games without Radar too. On lower tiers camping cruisers are fewer because they get punished less and new players usually dont camp that much id say. Check DD - So here we are, the one class supposed to get Radared in the first place, but they should play more careful with Radar/CVs in the game. WHO is it then? plz tell me im dieing to know it.... Why are all other ships camping when we agree that they would camp no matter what happens? BBs do it because range and cowardice - Cruiser have to camp because getting blapped. Radar doesnt change anything for them.

    Really? I must be King of disabling/destroying turrets then. Just Yesterday a match with Missouri one salvo i destroyed FDG turret, later i shot a 4k HP moskva across the map, getting 2 Pens + 1 overpen ofc not killing him because i destroyed his turret I really am killing turrets left and right, far more often than it seems happening to me. Missouri being a bit of exception, i tend to lose (but not permanently) turrets quite often in it.
  6. Only one player? Lucky you Sometimes i wish i could TK, so i would just kill them in order to get the mission done. Somehow this week wasnt as bad as before, mostly there was no problems to get enough player in the cap. I dunno why they do it, i simply think they dont understand that they actually have to get in the circle. Basicly it wouldnt even that bad to farm some more damage at the end, but then u would need atleast 3 ppl camping right at the border sailing in within the last 20 secs or so. I wouldnt try that with random ppl in it tho.

    A solution to passive/poor gameplay?

    If u look at this from a Business POV it makes total sense how its developed right now: u always get XP no matter how bad u play (unless u are actually AFK). So u can always progress through the tiers. But while u will get atleast a bit Credits on low-Midtiers, this will change on higher tiers, and thats where WG is benefitting from. There are only few options to gain more credits than u need to buy Hullupgrades/new ships: - Premium account (Money) - Premium Camo (Money) - Premium Hightier ships (Money) - Convert Doubloons to Credits (Money) - Play lower tier ships (not the goal of average joe) - Git Gud (ye right ) GL making money playing a T10 ship without Premium Account/Premium Camo running all Premium Consumables... The maintenance cost are 300k i think (for my Hindenburg), and an outstanding 200k+ damage game nets u ~450k Credits, only earning 150k or so. PLaying on server average results will always make u lose money, playing 30% above Average will still lose atleast some money...

    Even more so because MM doesnt recognize the difference between RU DDs and basicly all others. So one team can end up with Khaba and Taschkent while the others get Gearing, Yugumo and Z23 f.e. I feel that WG saying an uneven amount of DDs dont impact the outcome of the game can only be half true, because id say that the effect reverses at </>3 DDs. While 1vs0 DDs does potentially have a HUGE impact on the outcome, 5vs4 DDs might be benefitting the team with less DDs, because they have more firepower - being usually a Cruiser more. And with 5BB/2CA/5DD vs 5BB/3CA/4DD the latter does have the potential bigger advantage. Yet i cant influence that. Only by playing DD or a Radar Cruiser can i myself impact the game as to being assured to have 1 on my team. If i play a Yamaro, i dont have an impact if my team gets 2 RU DDs or 4 Radar ships. So @ghostbuster_'s point is actually valid about the DDs...

    But yet BBs arent acting like it actually does. They still choose to go alone somewhere at the border or D cap on North f.e. and die to torps at some point. If u think BBs would play more aggressive without Radar, then it would mean Cruisers would actually need to play even MORE passive, because the closer the BB is the worse it gets for them usually. But there is still the point that enough DDs dont care about CVs or Radar and die to their own stupidity. So i still dont see that see that Radar is making the game more passive. I only see 2 options here: U are playing DDs and u play differently when there is CVs/Radar ships around. Which makes sense. So u make a conclusion based on your own playstyle. Many other ppl however dont react to those threats and play the same style no matter what, thus meaning the game is not actually more passive, since its not changing for them. Im constantly radaring DDs in caps who choose to sit still / sit in smoke / dont sit behind an island. I also Radar DDs who are in open water in <9,45km to my Missouri, even tho my detection is 12,2km. Rarely i encounter DDs who stay beyond my Radar range, or are baiting my Radar inside a Cap when noone can shoot them. If u play that aggressive towards a cap, u might end up in a position u cant retreat anymore. And if your own DDs are bad, then all the Radar in the world might not be enough to safe u.

    Ye then your arguement is that DDs need to play more careful when Radar is around - which makes sense. Majority of BBs will camp/snipe from longrange regardless , and Cruisers will still sit behind islands spamming HE because they are forced to do so by BB overpop. Do u play differently when there is a CV around? I guess so too, so why arent u crusading against them? I think your personal experience is how you play yourself as a hightier DD. I see stupid DDs all the time despite having Radar and/or CVs in the game. They dont understand to behave differently, so the arguement is flawed already that they play more passive. How could several DDs just die within the first 3-4 mins when they would play like u say they do?

    Well first off all, there are caps without island cover, what is with that? Ive pushed those in my Missouri And second: U think Cruisers can play more aggressively when they dont have Radar? Highertier ships are far more capable of punishing a target than lower tiers can. Clearly not a reason for that. If u are the sole target at hightiers, u WILL get shot at. And getting massive damages at higher ranges is very much possible. Haha hunting DDs with Hydro and Fighter plane thats a good one How incapable is the DD supposed to be to let that happen at higher tiers? Sure, sometimes it happens, usually more in late games. U cant push a DD early in the game as a Cruiser, u will die. U might also not get anything. GL counting on your teammates to actually shoot that target. Ive seen it several times that i Radar a DD and noone shoots at him. Sometimes it involve taking risks, sometimes not. But not "gaining" anything is always an option, except for maybe pushing the DD away for a moment.

    The game cant know who is at fault when they Ram each other. The messages says its your fault - but the other one gets the Message saying its his fault. And both get a penalty in XP/Credits. Shooting/Torping someone else is however always YOUR fault. If a Teammate might be getting into the line of your torps: better not torp! 2nd line torping is always bad. U cant expect that the other one is always capable to dodge your torps. He might need to turn broadside to the enemy by doing so, which can be a death sentence for him.

    Maybe u got some rewards for returning to the game. Ive heard about something like that happen. Also around X-Mas some ppl received some free stuff. If u didnt buy them, id say it something like that.

    Or u gotta aim really low/get RNG luck and get underwater cits. That should be possible. Or get some slightly angled Broadside so that the shell has more time to fuse inside the ship.

    Said it a couple of times, alltho its not my invention^^ (Flamu uses it himself) Spotter Mod on Hindenburg, so u can easily take the reload mod. In the early stages its very helpful to get some HE damage on those BBs, and what @wilkatis_LV said about smoke firing. Hindenburg can wreck RN Cruisers easily, and with the spotter plane its so much easier than without, even behind islands! Also for Takao im using the Propulsion mod 2 instead of Stearing Gears mod 2. Rudder shift time is pretty good as it is, but Takao accelerates rather slowly. When u play f.e. with Edinburgh Division and u can sit in smoke or try some sniping behind an island and u gotta move fast, it feels pretty useful actually.

    Ye, i get that crap from DDs sometimes aswell. I try to help them as best as i can (Cruiser main) but obviously they cant understand that a Cruiser certainly has limitations especially in the early game. DDs need to understand when not to push over a certain point. And that is mainly map awareness. When there are several BBs in close proximity to the cap, u cant expect the Cruiser to push in with you. Ofc the other side is smoking up or running away when the enemy DD has no support... then u dont have to wonder when the Cruiser is angry and cant help the DD.

    Yes, but its ok, he played well, and so did the Edinburgh behind him. We couldnt have won without them. Basicly we 4 ppl managed to secure the Win in the cyclone. Also the Mogami down by our CV stopped playing and beached on the little island at I6... The enemy DD found him (who was last spotted above A) and killed him ofc....

    Is getting called a Bot preferable? Yes, this actually happened to me. In his mind i was "camping" too far behind all game long. I was between A/B and there was no way to advance earlier, so i created crossfire with our ppl from C. Even tried to save the guys as when i did 31k on Hood but not killing it like 30 secs before he died.

    Reminded me of a funny game not too long ago on Loop. Our DDs were pretty retarded so to say, Shima and Kagero didnt even have Camos 3rd DD was Harekaze but atleast had a Camo () We had no cap, and we werent even cloes to getting one. After the enemies had all the caps, they just kept going and fed themselves to us... Easy win, despite me raging hard in the beginning lol

    WG removed credits from supercontainers

    I use the Spotter plane mod on Hindenburg - combined with Reload mod u get decent range especially in the early game and a faster reload. Also its nice against smoked up RN Cruiser, which Hindenburg can eat for breakfast anyway. And what do i lose? Damage Control System Modification 1 is not that awesome for Cruisers, i understand it for BBs... and I dont have problems losing Engine/Rudder on Hindenburg. Got 2 SCs in a row saturday/sunday, first one was 25 Wyvern flags... imo even more useless than all upgrades. Second one was 50k FreeXP, dont need them either currently
  22. 1. As i described: kinda depends on the situation. But i more often see DDs doing crap because its obvious they wanna get the kill despite bringing themself into a bad situation. 2. If they rather hit your teammates, then dont throw the torps. Doesnt really fit what we are talking about. Knowing a target is dead is not always true, so if he has nothing better to do -> let him throw his torps 3. Eh? Why did i say that u were supposed to say that, that was my arguement There are different situations as ive stated MULTIPLE times now. Shooting a low HP target is not always Killstealing. But it might aswell be. There are ppl DELIBERATELY not shooting until they see a low HP target. I cant make it more clear... 4. Yes i know, happens to everyone. Blowing a Cruiser away with 3 citadels instantly when u play Fuso and u shot your full salvo would also go into the same category - but its less obvious ofc. Sometimes it feels a low HP target u get extra trolly RNG. If i feel the target can be killed with 1 turret, ill try it. Easiest would be kill-assist for the one who did the most damage to that target. If its the same person as getting the kill, then no extra ribbon is given.

    The only thing worse than a 3-man BBaby division is a 3-Shima division. I usually wanna throw up instantly when i see those. Most 3-DD Divisions end in a loss anyway. For the plain and simple reason that a good Division MOST likely would never choose a combo like that. Watch OMNI play, they are best when they play BB/CA/DD division (ignoring CVs here for a moment, but thats even better ofc)
  24. Might be? Only the person doing it knows why he is doing it. But if there are enough ships around to kill that target, shooting in a DD can be devastating. Ive seen DDs get killed because of totaly useless stunts like that. Trading a 2k HP BB vs half HP or more DD is such a bad tradeoff. If its one of the last ships around, sure, let the DD shoot also. Again depends on the situation? If its the last ship or one of the last ships in range why not? So you are supporting our side then? Killsecuring a low HP target, leaving out more than one salvo is not making your shot count. Its the opposite. Im still baffled how ppl cant understand that. They only see that only a dead enemy is a good enemy. Yet ignoring totaly the fact that a BB not shooting for 1-2 minutes is wasting potentially several thosands of damage. U can still fire the other turret/s afterwards if it wasnt enough?

    Pretty much, because mistakes are punished harder than on low-midtiers. Nobody wants to make the mistake first, which usually leads to massive credit losses when u die without doing anything. Maybe if your team would have played more aggressively this wouldnt have been a loss in that case? BBs play extremely passive to not lose a Star. Usually they dont have to fear getting shot at, because they are still very far away. Still u can shoot all the time, and if u dont completely suck at aiming u can still farm damage. If your team crumbles infront of u, just kite away. Players who are on the winning side tend to play carelessly in that situations, which leads to more damage farming. Also ive seen DDs who try to farm damage instead of helping the team against the enemy DD/capping, and rather chicken out when its needed to push. They can still farm damage or even get caps (what happened to me yesterday), after the enemies blindly are rushing that BB from the above example. Being 2nd even if u play for the win doesnt help u, when someone is first who played only for himself. If u lose u should deserve to lose a star - would stop that cowardice i believe. Ive lost one Star so far this season, but lost more than i won in total, so actually i would hurt myself more, still i would be confident that overall the results would be better. When your team plays like crap from the beginning, there is not much u can do yourself, depending on ship ofc. Currently only having Takao and Bismarck on T8 doesnt help me that much in influecing the game.
