    SO in a nutshell: BB buff -> They profit the most from a target which get spotted in smoke. I was under the impression that BBs camping in smoke were more of a liability to their team since they couldnt absorb damage. Cruiser Nerf -> Obivous for all Cruiser with smoke, and for all Cruisers with Hydro trying to rush a DD in smoke, since they get spotted now by the DD. DD buff -> they can sit in smoke and spot, while the smoke detection for them is mostly irrelevant.

    Oh ye forgot one more thing: Before the smoke change, BBs pushing u around in your smoke as a RN CL was bad enough, but since they are most likely spotted nowadays (or start to shoot anyway...) suddenly, they are a target, and u sitting next to them doesnt help, which will cause u to get damage. Actually does happen, and it sucks.

    Pretty good assessment of the situation - Neptune got shafted way too hard, cyclone is unbearable for her. The removal of teamplay seems one of WGs most desired goals - dont ask me why. After making the smoke changes releasing a line with perma-smoke capability (PA-DDs) can only be explained by total selfishness, nothing else. There are 2 things wrong with it for me personally: - U shoot, get into smoke, u stay detected. Imo its bad and stupid. Thats what u said also, but - SPOTTING FROM INSIDE THE SMOKE, must be the most stupid idea EVER. What did that tell the DD players? Dont use smoke for allies, and since u can spot now from inside it, u can have it all for yourself while u go dakka-dakka with your peashooters... I never understood the arguement about BBs firing from smoke... really? Never bothered me personally.

    32mm is a much bigger threshold than 38mm for Montana. Basicly most BB Bows/sterns are 32mm (GK got 32/50mm). And since donskois only has 30mm pen, it DEFINETELY needs IFHE.

  6. Sounds like pretty rewarding play... not First when u are behind an island and Radar a ship, your XP gain is most likely minimal when u Radar an enemy ship. The only reward it gives, it adds a chance to you winning the game. On the other hand, the enemy team can do the same, and if they dont have Radar, then its the actual problem - balancing Radar ships. Not Radar itself. Second: All the Radar in the world wont help u, if your team is too stupid to shoot the DD, which does happen more often than one might expect... How come one teams BBs can punish the enemies at 25km while the others cant? Sounds a bit one-sided, because having a Radar ship doesnt change the range of BBs... Probably wont make any difference at all, except for Belfast/ (Black). Most ppl argue, that Radar ships sit behind Islands, so does it matter when u get spotted? Nope. Only from a point that u know when u will escape his Radar range. But then again: there are certain locations for Radar ships where they can Radar caps, know them and u dont need to know the range basicly. For ships with equal or better concealment than Radar range: When do they pop Radar? When they are spotted! So u already know where they are. Thats why Belfast is an exception, because it sits in smoke undetected.

    Or they could introduce smaller maps for 7v7 when there are less ppl online... afterall, sometimes it happens that MM starts a game with less than 24 players, probably less often than 20BB matches, but still happens.

    Doesnt Montana have 38mm upper belt armor? (or even middle deck aswell? not sure atm but it has 38mm somewhere. I think its the only thing which 203mm without IFHE cant pen, but 203mm with IFHE can. So in the end = not worth it at all. The next "worthwhile" threshold would be 50mm, but since u cant reach it...

    I voted Yorck because Hindenburg is aweseome. My 2nd choice would be Ncal, because Montana is also very powerful.

  12. I guess DDs need to lose DefAA too then as a consumable? Always has been like that? I mean, did he turn his hydro on because he knew u were there or? In any case, if hydro was up he would have spotted those torps anyway... but its hard to say how close he actually was at that moment, so im just speculating.

    Hindenburg is a pretty good ship overall, that means most ppl who got her, will perform pretty decently. When u go through Hipper (which is pretty bad compared to Roon/Hindenburg) then Hindenburg just feels great. Roon is like the first step, but cant push as aggressive as Hindenburg. U have to perform much better than with other ships to lift yourself from the server avg. Kinda like Missouri. Hipper has a pretty bad reload combined with pretty low HE damage and low fire chance (even when the HE penetration is better). AP is strong, but especially in the early game most likely useless. So u gotta sit back, spam HE and pray for fires... And the impact with that is.... questionable at best. Hipper can shine when its hightier in a match, which doesnt happen too often. Or when u show him broadside and u are too close

    In all but one match you are the toptier! That means, you have to produce. I dont know how u play, but when u are toptier BB - u have to get in there.

    Imo the higher your WR is, the higher your Survival Rate can/should be. Having a high Survival Rate with low WR sounds like camping in the back f.e. My WR is rising, so is my Survival rate, which is positive i think. CVs have a higher survival rate than the others. Apart from that, i dont see a clear line among those others - atleast i dont see any looking at my stats. I only see the ships i played in the beginning, i died much more often than now^^ In general ofc a DD has to take more risks, so he is more likely to die id say. Depends too much on ships. Rule of thumb for Torps: The closer the Torp range, the better should the hitrate be. But it also means, the less torps u throw in general. Long range torps from Cruisers can be used in the beginning if u expect a DD to cap, which will lower your hitrate, but overall might help your WR. So for those ship, it wont say too much imo. F.e. i have 5% with Takao, mostly because i just threw the torps everywhere when i think it might hit something. With RN CLs (Leander - Neptune) i have 11/9/9/8%, which is much better than Takao, but when ppl try to rush u in your smoke, its more likely to get hits on them. As for Main battery... also depends very much on the ship. Most of my DDs i have around 50%, Cruisers 35-40+, BBs a bit above 30% for the more accurate ones (missouri), and below 30% for lower tier BBs/more shotgun types. The higher tier Cruiser/BB you play, the less likely is it for u to spot something. CVs should have high numbers of spotting, DDs also more than the others. But my numbers are definetely going down the more T8-10 BB/CA i play. As someone else mentioned, Premium gets added to it - thats why i dont really bother with that, since i rarey have premium acc, unless i get it 4 free^^

    The Torp skills works for CVs too. They will be faster, but they will also arm a little bit later. I dont know if it does effect the Autodrop, since they are armed way before they hit the target, but it does matter when u perform manual drop.

    But they do have worse penetration values than other Nation AP shells. Thats why i said, its the only thing that comes to my mind which would potentially hurt BBs more and not Cruisers at the same time. Overall i wouldnt go that way either, BBs just should punish each other easier/better, then it might not be such a big problem.

    If u Ram each other while not on full speed, the damage is reduced. Im however not sure who gets less damage, i think the ship which is slower receives also less damage... but im really not sure about that.

    Hipper is very good? I think Hipper is one of the worst T8 Cruisers actually. Mogami probably being first of the Silver ones... I think my personal rating would be Mogami / Edinburgh Chapa CM Hipper/(Eugen) / NO when it comes to silver ships. ofc Kutuzov is otherwise first, and Atago/Takao arguably equal to Mogami atleast. Alltho i have to admit i played the Hipper before they buffed her... so maybe its better now. No not maybe, it is better, but the question is, how much better? Königsberg/Nürnberg were just floating citadels back then, but back then i was a nooby too^^ Same for Yorck, not sure how i would play/perform in it now. Roon is pretty nice, yes, but Hindenburg is just plain better

    T10 Ships are still far more powerful than T9 ships. Hindenburg is plain better at pushing than Roon, Roon works best when kiting away. Obvious thing. DM just screws the Balti over in sheer damage output. Zao better fire chance/more guns than Ibuki, Ibuki is more like Atago with more range or faster reload, but Mogami has also a good fire starting potential. Donskoi and Moskva cant really be compared, they are very different. Mino has better concealment/smoke concealment than Neptune, ontop with way faster reload. Downside for Mino ofc u are easier to track in your smoke. French CAs not sure how they perform in those tiers. Yamato has Overmatch, Izumo doesnt. Montana has 33% more firepower than Iowa/NC. GK has 50% more firepower than FDG/Bismarck. Lion/Conq are ofc both equally better than Monarch, while conq still has 33% more firepower than Lion.

    Pah, many ppl are just incapable of using the Graf Spee properly. If u expect a BB, then its not for u. If however u want a tankier Cruiser, then its the right thing. Graf Spee works best in combination with other ships (CLs preferably), ofc the lack of DPM makes it a bad ship when u are alone, but it will shine when there are others around him, which he can protect and on the other hand cap help him with more steady damage output.

    Depends on the kind of Buff. I mean its basicly what WG is trying to do all the time. They want to make something which can deal with BBs. So they made RN BBs. Still they arent weak against Cruisers, and most certainly not weak against DDs. If they change BB AP on DDs, they will become even better against DDs. Since that didnt work (wasnt that obvious? fighting BB overpop with BBs...) they made PA-DDs... which also is punishing Cruisers and the remaining BBs which actually tried to go to the front. But the torps cant hit DDs, so they are somehow more limited than other DDs, which result in more selfish play. As i said AP buff for german Cruisers is a potential buff which would hurt BBs more, but probably not Cruisers. But for the others, im not so sure.

    T10s are always matched, so it must be a T9 DD. Which makes sense, because MM can balance a Cruiser to a DD +1 Tier. Same goes for balancing a BB vs a Cruiser +1 Tier

    Nah i dont think so, they are already pretty strong vs Cruisers anyway, so i dont think it would make much of a difference if they would get better AP penetration. Yeah, like give them Citadels back -.- Basicly a Yamato is easy to punish when it shows Broadside. But most other ships? Iowa/Missouri/Montana can get citadelled, but usually its only 1 or 2. Unless u get them while turning, than u can devastate them, but still... reliable punishing is far from it KM BBs? Haha... RN BBs? Somewhere in between US and KM BBs... basicly not punishable. French BBs... not sure yet. With every step further to buffing survivability with each new line, it makes BB vs BB engagements stupid and long lasting. In the end its more about RNG than skill.

    Yep, some kind of scaling sounds good. Thats a thing i never really understood why WG is not working more with it? U could implement stuff on lowertiers too, just make it less strong as on higher tiers, f.e. the Heal. Basicly they are all the same be it T3 BB or T10 BB, basicly only exceptions being Lion/Conq (which were introduced more recenetly) and Colorado.
