Well, then start to use better arguements, and dont make stuff up which is basicly not true (smoke being only defense mechanisms for DDs) I dont see Radar as a problem in general, its certain ships which are wrong. Payfast was wrong before they made more and more Radar ships. But they didnt learn from that i guess. I understand that Radar ships with longer range radar than their detection are wrong ( i agree with that btw), but thats why i dont think Radar is the problem, but the ships. -

So basicly most DDs are fine, except Akizuki which gets nerfed for no reason? Glad we got that Radar thing out of the way then!? A whole class isnt broken when you have to use one specific ship all the time. -

Finaly somebody has the guts to say it the way some ppl play DD they should play Cruisers. but ofc they cant, because its even harder to learn and gets punished easier. RPF = Radio location captain skill. Basicly it may give you the information if the DD is still there. DD is not supposed to get of Radar ships, especially not Cruisers. Thats what he has teammates for. Many DD players dont understand that. CV is not supposed to get rid of AA Cruisers either. BBs are not supposed to hunt DDs. Why would a Radar like that be like Hydro? German Hydro can outspot the stealthiest DDs also. Hydro spots ships and Torps. To the last line: Way to argue?! Is this kindergarden... -

So then you know where the DD is. How will you ever get rid of him that way? Radar would essentially be useless. I could use RPF for the same information -

I think many ppl are generalizing the Radar issue currently, because of the new US CL line. Imo worcester is wrong on so many levels: - Too long duration radar compared with - fast firing guns, like mino but u cant angle - Basicly stealth radar - Armor is wet toilet paper, lots of times BBs struggle to citadel them (atleast i do). Normaly get 1, but thats not enough to keep them at bay. Cruisers can citadel them easier ofc, but this thing will shred you too. - Can lob shells over every island. And many good to unicum players are playing that thing combined with cancer divisions (DD smokes up, worcester follows *BING*). Its not like new BB lines where all the BBabies are getting on the BBaby train. -

And some Cruisers are bigger than battelships aswell... I dont think on respective tier that DDs are bigger than Cruisers. Not entirely sure about length, but width and hight never. Fixed that for you. Yes, akizuki is like a brick. Havent played it myself, so i dont know if its justified balancing wise. Couple of times ive fought them 1v1 in (RN) Cruisers, and might be hard when they would turn faster. Once they are angled, RN CL AP doesnt really do too much. Id say DDs that dont have that concealment (khaba) doesnt really need it too much anyway. Radar normaly ends at some point. Unless you really entered a Radar nest. Planes are even trickier, and i think potent CV players are much more of a bane to DDs than Radar is. Atleast thats how it feels, since planes even spot torps, and Radar doesnt. Whats this "git gud" you are talking about Me no understand If ppl would focus their energy on learning how to deal with radar, instant of posting all the time in the forum and making "Radar is OP threads" maybe they wouldnt have so many problems... -

Low concealment, small size and high maneuverability and speed couldnt be considered as such? I wonder what some cruisers would say which dont even have the armor to angle against anything... Guess they are defenseless Are u sure u are allowed to say that? many radar haters are saying Radar is at fault that game is so campy Gets imo worse when both DDs sit in one cap which is big enough for both and they wont spot each other. Which means, that any other ship getting too close (aka support) that cap will get spotted by the enemy DD which means, he will be under fire by any non detected ships hiding at the islands. Usually fun when its a worcester lately -

What is the arguement against using Hydro? There were 2 DDs, one was proxy spotted, the other was at 4,2km when he disappeared. Your hydro could have detected both. Dont let yourself get fooled because you got away with that, since those DDs were alone there and didnt know what they were doing. They did throw torps, but i dont know whom they were targeting. This wasnt meant as con secondaries, but as why you shot basicly in the superstructure of the 2nd Montana? One citadel would have caused more damage than your whole salvo combined. Secondaries ofc do help, but dealing like 40% of the damage to a BB broadsiding at <8km is just an error of aiming at the wrong place. If you were playing a Yamato you could have been killed easily. Exactly the reason why you should use Hydro in that instance. Its hard to keep track since your minimap isnt configured properly (no names, too small, spotted targets vanish completely without knowing the last position) But it was clear, that no more DDs were in the vicinity. So in time you would have gotten to the next DD, hydro cooldown would have been off already. Kills itself dont matter. Sure its good that your WR is improving, but thats why im trying to tell you, there is still stuff that you should concider, and dont blame your teammates. The problem is, you were RPFed very early. The DM knew you were coming. After the time your got radared, it was evident that you should relocate. Your team didnt want to push beyond the islands, they did pitiful damage to the ships you were spotting. Your teammates were save from that side of the map, since the enemies DDs were south and center. -

uhm... did anyone watch those vids? I mean, srsly u are flaming your team for not playing well? And then u show us GK vids, which show us that u dont have any clue what u are doing? Incredible amount of missplays. Im trying to put this as nice as i can: - You rush 2 DDs which are sitting in smoke, and u have hydro, which u dont use... + it would spot the torps aswell. (You dont use Superitendent nor Premium Hydro?...) - You getting a Kraken because you get those kills means and shows nothing. All DDs were pretty much done for. - Horrible aim on the Montana, u are tickling him to death basicly. You dealt 53k to him, almost half of that is secondaries + fire damage. I uploaded a little part on where u should aim if you want to hit the citadel. Now the Shima video: - You ignore the objective totaly. DM radars and the enemies know where you are. Should have relocated, aswell because you are RPFed all the time. (potentially by the DM) Basicly you are spotting 3 ships all the time, which doesnt mean anything. The other flank is winning the game, because they are perma stealth. - Torps on Yamato, you see he is accelerating. Should have taking more lead. Torps on Alsace are stupid, why would he go into the corner, turn towards the mapborder? Overall, sure, your team is sitting at the islands, but is it really worth pushing there? Its ok at first, but at some point some gotta go to center and others may continue, but since one flank from the enemies can push through without resistance, your team is getting boxed in. Before ranting about others, start to improve yourself maybe? -

Found one other indication, which could indicate a bug: My Missouri hitrate is going up (so is my damage, but thats a bit iffy always), from 33.3%~ before (i was around that for the first 150+ matches), now its 33,8%~, already over 200 matches, so i definetely need to hit a bit better for it to rise. Avg dmg is up 10k last 3 weeks and 20+k last week, but thats kinda hard to track imo, if enemies are broadsiding more aka more cits.

Overpens dealing overpen + Pen damage seem to be quite common. Shell overpens one section, enters the next and fuses. Since one shell can have only 1 ribbon, u will see higher damage than normal. Worst part was shells dealing double pen or even pen + citadel damage. Not sure if they fixed that already, but i havent seen those in a while. Atleast they wanted to fix that last time i heard about it, since thats clearly a bug. I dont think the first one will/can ever get fixed... More annoying for me are pens dealing 0 damage anyway -

I always think that the best way to balance damage dealt would not be to make caliber x deal x damage, but that the damage is calculated on the ship which gets hit. F.e. a DD getting hit by a Yamato shell could receive less damage (overpen or pen) than the same shell hitting a Cruiser/BB/CV. Ofc this would require much more detail than current damage calculation. -

I think the far bigger problem is, that the modules eat the HE damage. Ive said it like half a year - one year ago, that once they fix BB AP on DDs, and some BB player will start to shoot HE at them, that it might be even worse than before. BB player might not get that much damage, but the DD will suffer module damage to basicly everything when it gets hit by ~6 BB HE shells. Sure with last stand it can still flee and turn, but hf without torps and guns. Ive done that with Orion on lowtier cruisers, i think its the most unfun mechanic ever. Shoot: Engine down, must use DCP. next salvo engine down again, after that rudder, guns are breaking. Sit in the water till u get blasted to pieces. Which brings me to another point: Are modules breaking more easily lately? Basicly i lose torpedo tubes on my Hindenburg every match, somtimes to BBs secondaries.... -

When noobs think, they are the best players in the world... Got flamed by one of the 2 Yamatos that were cuddling like little kittens at the island, why im not pushing in. Enemies were just sitting all around C. At some time it was 4 vs 9 and i pushed into C, to show him how stupid he is. Couldnt survive long ofc, because cant angle against all of them. Obviously i have to tank and kill all the enemy fleet at once. And dont forget, i have to surround the enemy. *edited* -
If you dont understand the difference, i dont really see a reason why i should explain that. I mean, do you actually know some AA values for Cruisers? They are straight up garbage. And even with DefAA they are mediocre at best. The normal AA for some Cruisers is so bad, you wont shoot down any planes even from same tier CVs. The only saviour is the panic mode for the bombers. Yet your torpedoes dont suffer really from RNG. They hit, they deal damage. (rare exceptions can occur ofc). AA is heavily RNG based. Even when the DD doesnt have TRB, the amount of Torpedoes should be sufficient to hit a target. And the DDs that can slot TRB dont have garbage amount of Torps to begin with either, and arent much less than other nations DDs. I could understand if the DDs would have like 2 Torps, then you could look at the issue and compare them.

That cant be a point of an arguement. If Super Unicum CV player with 90% WR in CVs say, CVs are fine, then nobody can argue against them because they are super unicums? Ofc no other Super Unicum is allowed to have a different opinion when they are not playing CVs. There are 7+ billion ppl on this world, everyone is entitled to his own opinion. If some are better in something than others, doesnt mean they are automatically right about it. At the same time, there will be ppl equally good at the same thing having a totaly different opinion than the first group. So yep, this is nonsense in the purest form. Maybe they should coordinate their accusatons better: U have been called a noob Ive been called practically a super newb who doesnt know crap about ANYTHING in this game. Yet both of us are carrying each others asses to victory. I Wonder....

Well, do u know certain Cruisers? Lets take Takao/Atago as an example. Remember we still have to take Hydro or DefAA. The AA is abysmal, 50 on 5km and 40 on 3km. Akizuki got 83 on 5km. And i dont think Akizuki is supposed to help other ships with her AA that much. Now u can take Def AA to boost that AA to an insane 150 + 120 . Which still sucks compared to most BBs. Only useful thing is the panic mode. If u dont have Hydro going closer as Takao is always more risky. I basicly played all my games with Hydro, because i liked to rush DDs in her. But with a same or higher tier CV around u are forced to play very passively. So i could argue, having to choose between those 2 is making the game more campy. Cruisers without Hydro have problems evading torps, Takao not sooo much, but other highertier ones certainly do.

Its mainly your side (and yourself) who are deliberately using arguements out of context to fit your own agenda and put words into other ppls mouths. Lets take this: We are talking about one thing, and suddenly u start again with DD gameplay. What the ...? 1. Noone ever said Radar counters stealth torping. I dont know where u get that idea from. Does it encourage it? Well, depends. Yes and no. DDs on lowertiers with that ability stealthtorp even where no Radar exists. The only difference is, u (have) to be further away. Not necessarily but sometimes u have to. 2. With Radar DDs have to take an option: Throw torps from 10+km with lower hitchance. Or take the risk and go as close as u want without being detected (which is still stealthtorping btw), and might get detected in the progress. Or do u wanna get 4km to any ship so u can blast them into oblivion? Why would u? I always find those DDs funny who throw torps, and suddenly start hammering their guns at 7km. Thx for telling me that u torped, now i know where i have to turn in order to evade them - U dont understand what stealthtorping means. - U take that out of context to tell me i dont know what the roles of a DD are, which are totaly not relevant to each other.

I think the easiest solution would be when bots wouldnt focus fire at all times. If u are weak u will get spammed down by HE shells. Maybe the DDs shouldnt shoot constantly either.
