    Manual Fire Control for Secondary Armament

    If both sides can shoot, then they will without manual secondaries. If you have manual secondaries, only the side will shoot which can engage the target you selected. Ive been thinking that its wrong, and you should be able to mark 2 targets maybe?

    Win Rates

    I actually am the Leader of our clan, so i am recruiting ppl for us, together with Forlornsailor that is. But we arent playing for CWs anyway, we just gather ppl so we can play randoms in division. If someone is not in a clan, and is impressing us in a Random battle, we ask if they want to join. In between i do check stats, alltho we did recruit one who had his stats hidden, but he played really well and he is a good player. If the player doesnt have really bad stats, i believe most can improve enough to be skillfull enough to play well in this game. Bad players however dont improve because they dont think they are the cause for their bad play^^
  4. Just met @Jethro_Grey in a battle.... I believe his game wasnt as good either, but atleast they won... thx to - our CV who didnt know about strafe - my horrible dispersion vs a Zao at <10 km which almost killed me (lost 40k HP to him ) - and the last 1/100 second arm from the TB bomber in my nose which killed me ofc - And one secondary shell DESTROYING the torpetubes from @ForlornSailor otherwise he could have torped the Monty Definetely the game telling us: NOPE YOU DONT WIN THIS ONE.

    I wouldnt even think that way. Consider, that you can launch a new salvo 12 secs earlier, maybe its the time you need to kill a ship rushing you down, so you wont die, or maybe you can torp a ship which is almost getting behind an island, but because your torps reloaded faster, you still get him.
  6. I think Coop is only easy-mode for missions like "Win a/x battles" since you are pretty much guaranteed to win. Other than that, compare that to the current daily challenge mission chains. So you need to win, but you need also to get 1k+ base XP. That means playing 3 matches in Coop, while it could be done with 1 random battle. If i feel frustrated and got crap teams all day long, i grind it out in Coop. Takes 20 mins for 3 matches usually, which yield 300-500 base XP each. I think its fine that some missions can be done in Coop, its easier on the head when the day has been awefull

    German BB AP Bombs Ruins the game

    Actually i think even with DefAA most BBs do have more AA DPS than a Mogami. So the only thing worth is the Panic mode, so you might dodge the drop easier, if the CV is still going for it. I believe Mogami has similiar AA than Takao/Atago, which is pretty much garbage. I never even bothered running DefAA, i rather went Hydro and screwed the DDs.

    Operation Narai

    Actually i agree with that, if there is one person who knows what should be done, and the other would just listen. We tried 3 times to get 5 Stars today with 4 ppl + 3 randoms. First was "see whats going on" since 2 of us didnt know that operation yet. So we got only 1 star victory. 2nd round we know what should be done, but got screwed by our BB (what else is new ~~) because he was running for the CV, which ended in a nicholas killing 2 ouf our convoy ships.3rd game finaly 5 stars, and wasnt even that hard afterall, even tho most of the team was dead, but the transport ships unloaded 2000 man so GG 5 stars. The best thing is to get atleast 3 ppl together id say. 1 can go for CV (with good AA) 1 goes for the enemy transport ships, and one can stay with the convoy (some BB is best i think). Problem is mostly too many DDs, or BBs wandering of to the sides. BBs cant go there. They are usually too slow, and their reload is too slow to deal with that many ships (the enemy transports). If you can get your team to understand that, it should be possible to win with 5 Stars. But since we are talking about random players in WoWs, that chance is like 1 in 100 or so

    Why am i losing all the time?

    So you complain that you have good games damage wise (which doesnt seem to happen that often, when you look at your avg damage) and lost them. I tell you, that most of the best games i had i actually lost. And you know why? because both teams were pretty bad, but overall, my team was worse, and i couldnt do more damage than i already did. Your overall performance doesnt really justify having a higher WR. Lets look your stats from last 3 weeks (not sure if you track them regularily) https://wows-numbers.com/de/player/505934024,matthewglaz8/ Tirpitz/NC/Hipper (ill leave the Lexington out of it): You barely deal half your own HP in damage to the enemies on average. Your team has to do more, in order to compensate for your lack of damage. Also you tend to die very often, so basicly what that means, you cant help your team anymore when you are dead. I dont know which targets you prioritize, but DDs are the ones you should be focusing when they are spotted. Kill them, and the chances of your team winning will increase. And about the CV: CVs have the highest influence on the outcome of the game - both positive and negative. Seeing that you have the lowest WR in CVs from all 4 classes, i think you arent playing good in them. I dont know what you are doing, but obviously its not helping your team that much. On the contrary, it makes your team lose more often. Apart from that, losing streaks happen to everyone. We had horrible days lately too, and doesnt matter what you do, you will just lose. Summer vacation in many countries (especially germany) still ongoing, so that might be one thing which is influencing current player base (aka bad teams).

    - Narrow the droppattern for IJN CV TBs on lowertiers. The ships are just too small to catch em. Not my drop, but ive had BBs just go through them because the spread is too wide. And ofc this was a loss because of that.

    Sounds good, but the recent Hindenburg nerf wouldnt make any sense then. It already has lowest WR from all T10 Cruisers, and damage was exactly in the middle (lets forget about Salem now) At the same time, Henri IV has more avg damage but receives a DPM buff with the reload booster consumable. So not sure what WR is balancing, but i dont think its damage or WR.

    Maybe i should have said more noob friendly and everyone would agree For me it comes down to the same thing. When you dont have to learn to get better, instead get WORSE, then the ships are not balanced compared to others.
  15. Only got it just recently, and only played 2 battles with it, but it feels quite nice. Id like to see how it can perform, when i dont have a team which is falling apart within the first 3 mins and dont have to fight/angle multiple targets at once, so i can shoot a bit more broadsides and stuff

    If you wanna increase your WR that badly, then make a new account...But be sure that you actually know what it takes to get a good WR Apart from that: Why does it even matter? Do you care that much what others think of that? I mean, if it means so much for yourself, you would be proud that your WR would be steadily rising, even if its only a little bit at a time. Frankly, i dont think someone who has 30% WR after 10000 games is able to achieve a >50% WR. That ship has sailed looooooooooooong ago for those players.

    Make new ship line better than the previous ones Nothing more to it, after a year or so, noone cares if the old lines are in a bad spot, just play the new ones! Flavour of the month is US CLs currently. There are MANY ships (imo) which are desperately in need of a rework, but instead of doing that, rather make completely new lines which are better anyway, and let ppl play them.
  18. Ye, the only one which is more stupid (imo) is getting "destroy 15 modules" while playing a BB. Game tells you: Spam more HE And so far i got 2 times the spot 9 torpedo mission, got it both times easily lol... Even tho it feels the hardest since you cant really make someone torp you/your position.
  19. No not a chance. I was at B, as i stated, and so was the enemy Cleveland. However, he got spotted on the way there and was down to like <10k health when he arrived (some from me too) but all the time nose in towards me, so no chance on a Citadel. CV did yolo into A, was first one to die. Prinz Eugen was mostly 14-15km away from me behind C. Roon was behind A i believe, and didnt die until the end, but no way i would have gotten there, since enemy GK and Conq rushed into C, making me camp the island all the time. Most other missions are doable, getting citadel hits however is the one eluding me the most, since i get it often playing Cleveland or something similiar.
  20. We had 7 ships alive at the end, but this wasnt as easy as it looks! Our team was refusing to shoot DDs, despite me permaspotting them. At some point, the enemy DDs realized that and just started yoloing our ships - since nobody was shooting them. Even when they were literally next to them, they felt it wasnt necessary to shoot em Meanwhile 1 afk DD on our side + 1 was sailing at the mapborder, so we were down on caps 3/1 all the time. Oh, and that Kirov kill was unintentional, he was shielding his wyoming from torps - didnt help, since i got both and he got permaflooding

    I think Radar is that balancing factor between good and bad DD players. It a) limits very good DD players in their way of playing and b) still provides you with the possibility of spotting the enemy DD(s) even when you have none yourself. Back in the days, when MM made matches with 1vs0 DDs on low-midtiers, those were really bad games for the team without DD. Noone wanted to go first, and the enemy team could just roflstomp them. Taking into account that your own DD is able to not get himself detected Frankly, i dont like more DDs in the game. 3 is kinda good. With most maps having 3 caps, you can have one at each and/or having one DD on each flank + one in the center. 5 DDs is like 5 BBs = just too much imo. I would LOVE to have better DDs in the game. But as i said earlier, i dont feel that most of the players actually are willing to learn from their mistakes. Sure, radar amplifies the pressure on them, but i feel that many DD players die anyway, even when there is no Radar around. DDs are valuable, but with the skill difference, matches where one team has significantly better DDs would become frustrating for the losing team. And about the last part: Sure, thats why im here. But sometimes it might be confusing when you jump to conclusions when you dont know what the other 2 guys were talking about Also ive said many things against Radar/certain ships, which is making Radar being a bit of a problem lately. Which means, its fine in general, but not on all ships. It would be better if ppl would argue against those ships, than rather target Radar in general - as WG stated, they wont change the mechanics. Argueing against problemships however, you might have a better chance to release a bit pressure for DDs, and still not make Radar confusing to use or useless.

    There is no improving MM imo. The playerbase just seems to be getting worse and worse every week. Id kill for those ppl from half a year ago. Every match is driving you nuts. And its far away from fun. You lose because of ludicrous teammates that dont understand ANYTHING about the. They dont understand that the game ends by points or time. Changing MM wont change any of that. Ppl who look with their guns in the wrong direction, or islands, wont dissappear with MM change. - Punish those bad players more (which is obviously that WG WONT do it, every new ship line confirms that) - Make them freaking learn the game! And thats pretty much impossible, without the above one.

    1. And what do you gain when only the last 100 battles are considered into the shown WR? More ups and downs, while having all battles influence the WR, the more you play, the less impact each win AND loss will have on your total WR. Still you can track if you win more or not. 2. Once again, what do I gain from that? 3. How about no? Usually bad players use the arguement "Oh you are 1 in 12, doesnt matter what you do" because they are looking for excuses to not look at their own playstyle. Its always someone elses fault. And this is wrong. Yes, everyone can lose several battles in a row, even the best from the best. But then again, they will turn the table much more often, so overall, they make their own WR. Everybody does. When you have miserable WR, look in the mirror what YOU should do better.

    ok, sorry, my bad, thought you were talking about DDs. At this point, i dont think any change will stop most cruisers from sitting behind an island. Well maybe the only one would be to change arcs that badly, that they couldnt lob them over it. Even if Cruisers would be more tanky, i dont think ppl would change their behaviour suddenly. I didnt bring that up, once again, why do you target me And which of those are supposed to hunt DDs on hightiers? So we rule out any Radar Cruiser: Moskva, DM, Worc. - Hindenburg: Definetely not a DD hunter, i dont particulary fear DDs playing it, but i dont want to have them too close either, especially early in the game. Lategame its a different story. - Henri IV: Ye well no? Long range HE spammer AFAIK. - Zao: Longrange HE spammer anyone? It has the concealment to go close, but it still gets outspotted by ~3 km. So if you are too stupid and get detected be him, and your BBs not fending him off, then the problem is with the DD. Normal chain of events should be: Zao gets detected by a DD, lets say he is rushing him down because he is stupid. DD turns around, runs to his fleet, perma spotting the Zao. BBs/Cruisers focus him down, because he is the closest target. Zao continues = dead, turns around = more than dead, stops and reverses = dead. Any event not leading to Zaos death = your team is too stupid and deserves to lose. - Minotaur: lol rofl, nope. You can only kill DDs, that are stupid. Had a Shima 2 days ago, who was hugging the island so badly he couldnt spot me in advance. I reversed at 5km around the corner, he turns broadside to torp me = he died, i accelerated back behind the island. And open water engagement when the DD has backup, the Mino is not able to gain anything besides dieing. Without Radar what is countering DD concealment? - CVs: not enough around - Other DDs: The team with bad DDs will lose much more frequently then. Good DD player will singlehandedly stomp over the enemy DD, and lets not start with "team backup" i can throw Hydro DDs back in your face then. Not to mention bad DD player smoke up sits in it and blocks vision for his own team. After that, the side which has DDs left alive, they can go ANYWHERE (not too close ofc) and permaspot almost any ship. This would eventually bring even more hatred towards DD players, since the losing sides team will have no enjoyment while playing. DD spots at the flanks, BBs/CAs can sit at Islands spamming the enemy ships who desperately are moving somewhere because of fear of torps and getting constantly shelled, while seeing nothing themselves. everybody has those rounds, even currently with Radar. Remove Radar and this will happen all the time.
