Well, what can you say about that? Some classes (BBs/CVs) are just a little bit more special compared to others (DDs/Cruisers). Ofc CVs take the cake without having any counter, because "need a healthy amount of players" -

I think we need to find a common ground first. I feel, you are looking at 2 different things: balancing within the class, and class counters F.e. DDs have good concealment and torps, so they can land devastating salvos from stealth. To balance that out, they have little armor and the least HP of all classes. Radar is a counter from a class, that is supposed to counter them -> Cruisers Im only considering balancing factors within the class. And to me, the downside for big guns with high alpha from BBs is the dispersion. The downside for having the best armor is vulnerability to fires. BBs can ease those downsides better than any other class. Id even say, the anti-fire flag is one of the most signals in the game -

Dispersion is one balancing factor for BBs, and i disagree that they should get good dispersion, especially from longrange. Imagine a skill/module, which would buff Cruiser armor or shrink their citadel, that would be unfair aswell, because they are kinda balanced around that. Essentially the arguement for fires is, that BBs should be able to reduce the impact for their downsides. Fires hurt BBs the most, so they can reduce the impact. Dispersion is balancing the larger caliber guns they are using, so they can reduce that aswell. I think its questionable, that BBs are allowed to do that, while others are not. Imagine if DDs would have 4 perks to increase their HP, one of them being a signal -

And then we look at Outnumbered for Cruisers and can only shake our heads -
The problem is, if you die, then faster torpreload doesnt bring you any benefits at all. So SE should be the default first 3-pt skill imo. Staying alive > higher DPM, especially for torps. How often do you really throw torps the second they are reloaded? Can happen, but often i think its not the case.

I guess first half spam torps, and then when everything is dead/almost dead, you come in and bully it with your almost-Cruiser HP pool and no citadel. -

Or they could just make skill/modules which are mutual exclusive. F.e. you take skill A but then you cant use module B with it. Or you need skilltrees so you progress down a certain path. Or synergies between skills/modules, to get a bigger benefit, making certain builds worthwhile, because of the boni you get. There are options, but that would require WG putting effort into it... which we know wont happen, because the money they can make of it is rather small. -
Havent really payed attention to how much you see AA tracers when being in a ship, i guess you can see them, question is how much good does it do. IMO CVs profit more from guns shooting from smoke than AA tracers, so i dont think its equal to begin with.

Well in that case, CVs shouldnt be able to see gun tracers. Ships use gun tracers from smoke to guess where the enemy ship is sitting. AA tracers doesnt help them. CV gets both gun and AA tracers to guess where the smoked up ship is sitting. So for it to be equal, ships should see gun tracers, and CVs only see AA tracers.

Guns are not decoration Havent played that many IJN torpboats tho. T7s i even grinded in Narai to get away from horrible T7 MM and CVs these days. Benham in ranked I guess im doing it wrong

Thats what im running on Jutland right now. I like to have RPF, its such a great skill. The amount of people using that against you is negligable, if you can use it properly. Jutland/Daring i like to have SI because of the extra heal. AR and the rest is self-explanatory.

I think 0.10.5 will hit before we get the next coupon: 0.10.3 comes 15.4 A 4-5 week patch cycle would mean either 13.5 or 20.5 for 0.10.4 Again a 4-5 patch cycle means, 0.10.5 would hit 10.6, 17.6 or 24.6... and i somehow doubt that we would get 2x 5week patches in a row. Usually its 4 weeks, and sometimes 5 weeks. Last year, 0.9.5 hit on 11.6. -
Incapacitating turrets / torptubes = fully reloading them. BUG!

I was just watching a YT video, when i saw this happening: - AP is being loaded - Before the loading is complete, one turret gets knocked out - 2 other turrets shoot, and ammo is swapped to SAP - When the turret is repaired (on its own), the turret is fully loaded <-- this is already not normal - The turret has the new ammo loaded, ontop of not even needing a full reload circle (20 sec broken turret = ammo is loaded) thats the video, just watch the 40-60 seconds. So if my turret gets knocked out and i shoot the other turrets and swap ammo, i can circumvent the penalty of having to load ammo again? Thats what it looks like to me atleast, this would need to be tested ofc... Since its weekend and not tested, ill tag the usual suspects later on. -

There is a distinct difference here: - If i go there, will i die and lose my ship, thus ending the game for me? - If i fly here, will i lose some planes, which doesnt effect my playing at all? Only after doing that SEVERAL times in a row. Not to mention, trading planes for a ship is such a favourable trade, there is no use in comparing that to risking a ship.

German T7+ BBs got a seperate buff with 0.10.0, which only resulted in a slight nerf to their accuracy.
