MB: 36,67% Torps: 7,75% Secondaries: 16,88% As for MB and Torps: I spam a lot lately into smokes (with fast firing ships), which is already lowering my Hitratio - but i think it doesnt matter. Same for torps, if i feel i dont need em, i throw them anyway IF they might hit something.

We must play different games then... ive been insulted by potatos aswell. So what about the x amount of potatos that DONT rank out but are still playing R5-R2? They are still there , only they dont rank out. Being R5 is basicly the same as being R1, since its the same group you are playing in.

How do you get your team to spot the catapults? We played twice now and Rasputin dies too fast -_- Also im not 100% how close do i have to be to spot the catapults on the corner islands? I spawned south, went south the long way but didnt catch it... Then i went to spot the castle and tried north, but didnt get it before rasputin died. Also our team was close to dieing anyway... -

How about HE? RN CLs dont have HE but they have great torps, range they dont need, reload is 3x faster on Mino, they are very squishy but for that they got smoke. Id gladly take a Hindi with strong AP but normal HE -
If you choose to ignore arguements, then noone can help you. Then you might aswell say, earth is flat, and someone shows you a picture from outerspace that the earth is round, and you could aswell says, thats not a reasonable arguement You saying Radar is a selfish consumable doesnt make it so. However making Radar LoS will turn it totaly into a selfish consumable, since i will never use it if i cant shoot the DD myself (otherwise he wouldnt get spotted anyway). I think you are the one who shouldnt play T8+ There is a difference between having different oppinions and calling arguements "not reasonable" because you choose so. A DD not having the info if Radar is active when he comes around the island is an indisputable fact. Whether it matters or not is for debate. But the initial arguement is still valid.

Being under focus fire comes after the fact of being permaspotted. So being spotted is infact much worse in a Cruiser. If you are getting suprise spotted in a Cruiser and you arent already turned, then you might aswell go back to port most of the time^^

And how do you play to his strength in this meta? you dont... With BBs sitting at 20km most of the time. - Your team gets roflstomped -> no chance to go brawling in any meaningful way - Enemy team gets roflstomped -> again pretty much no chance to do anything meaningful - Close game where your team and enemies are scattered over the map in the end -> yes now you can shine and take on enemy BBs because you dont have to worry about getting shot from across the map. But more often than not you cant do it, or if you do it, it doesnt matter anyway. - Worst penetration from all TX CAs - Doesnt have improved ricochet angles like UK CLs and US CAs. - AFAIK only Salem/DM got slower shells than hindi, making it easier to hit on longrange. - 2nd best Alpha/shell damage after Henri Come again Hindi AP is strong... It has the most potential damage per salvo, but that doesnt matter if you keep shattering. Thats why its AP is not good, even tho its supposed to be an AP Cruiser line. -
You will still easily die closerange broadside. And the problem is, you can only do that when there arent many enemies left alive. Otherwise something else can blap you from longrange. Also no less than 10km? You mean closer than 10km right?

Only 28 Games this time (compared to 39 in the first season) Guess im one of the few that was faster? But teams were far less horrible than first season. Maybe also because enemies had potatoes too this time... not always on my side. Anyway, 7 games out of that i played solo (5w/2l) 1 try Marblehead... doesnt work without proper DDs. Then played 10 matches Mutsuki (40% WR) and thought, why am i shafting myself with the crappy one, so i went Minekaze That went much better 66%. (12 games) Today the rest of the games we went Zuiho + Texas div = 5w 100%. That was easiest actually. For 8v8 felt better than the previous... not sure why. But bad players were distributed more evenly. -
Ehm... If you are not spotted, then why would you use Radar if it would be LoS? Do you understand what LoS means? Lets say you play a DM, which has a worse Concealment than radar range. And you Radar range is filling out an entire cap which is currently capped by an enemy DD. And you are not spotted, then you dont need to EVER press Radar, because it wont do anything. Currently you can spot DD, even when he sits behind an Island. So you baited the Radar from the DM in the hope, noone can shoot you. But with LoS Radar, you will only get radared AFTER you leave your island cover. Currently you can radar other ships which are behind islands aswell. Its not only anti DD. More like pro teamplay. But with LoS radar it becomes totaly selfish.

Yep, having pretty much mandatory skills is pretty dumb imo. But removing more skills is also not the right way to go. We already have so little useful skills to choose from, you could start to make pictures in your skilltree because what else to do? Would be great if we would have more options on cptnskills which would make a ship more unique compared to others - and not basicly one build which is superior to all others. -

Yes/No. At this point id vote for a bigger rework of the ship/line. As Tyrendian said, why play Hindi really? Better ability to tank in this meta is... not so great tbh. And longrange hits on a Hindi are pretty much guaranteed citadels, which makes playing it like a longrange HE spammer even more useless. Imo what they should do: - Give back pre-nerf reload - Buff AP penetration - Nerf HE penetration (maybe a slight Alpha increase to compensate a little) Makes shooting AP more worthwhile, and brawling vs BBs is also more effective. Well, you have torps for that yes, but i dunno if they changed something, i lose torpedotubes all the time (not only on Hindi), which means if i lose them already at somepoint through the early game because HE spamming BBs, then its harder to brawl later on. -
I use FP on my Nelson/DoY/KGV (currently) captain. As for nelson, you become immune to fires, so they get lucky and start 2... big deal. While otherwise they might get 3 then it starts to become a bigdeal. Dont even know what else to take instead of FP? If you go along the lines EL/EM/AR/SI/FP/CE = 16 points, then i guess id take JoaT (because jack dunkirk) and PT. What else to take for the 4 points for FP? But definetely CE before FP.

Because it actually is crap? Very few players have thought this through (myself included) and came to the conclusion that its totaly bad for the game. Basicly it makes every radar ship a Belfast "What im not spotted? Then i dont have to use Radar" Even more so for Ships like Chapa, which has greater radar range than concealment. And even IF the radar ship is using radar while the DD sits behind an Island, how is the DD knowing that he will get radared when he leaves the islandcover in a few seconds? Its just bad for everyone. @RAMJB Very true - been saying the same thing. Nothing wrong with Radar itself, only WG hammering Radar cruisers all the time. If you add new ships, ppl are more likely to play them, so its natural that we see so many Radar ships. Alltho id disagree about the premium ships having Radar, they are a minor problem. The real problem were US CLs (available for everyone) having Radar AND being borderline OP like Worcester. Its superstrong + has Radar. They shouldnt have Radar, let them have DefAA+Hydro and it would be fine, but not everything. They are just safer to play and still pretty strong compared to other Cruiser. Now they nerfed Radar on US CLs - but they still feel the need to change Radar...

They can stick with the reload nerf, IF they would just give it better AP penetration... Or also possible: Give it back its original reload, then nerf HE to normal and buff the AP instead. Its just crap game design to make a Cruiser which is supposed to shoot AP and then it has the worst penetration from all CAs Cant even citadel a Moskva at reasonable range when it angles slightly. And basicly incapable of citadelling any BB doesnt help either. Moskva is a fight you should pick any day in a Hindi because of 50mm HE pen. Your DPM is superior either with HE or AP.

Not sure if you understand me, i meant from hindi pov, so a hindi will beat a moskva always. I would pick a fight against Moskva any day. But its not common to do that. You know that, i know that. To deal 20k damage you need 10 penetrations! No BB will let you farm him. Either they turn in, or most likely turn away. And this includes that therent many enemies around so you actually can play aggressive to get into ranges where you can hit the right places. Early game you pretty much shoot against bow on BBs. Im even hesitent to flank lately, because i have had so many 4 DD games, that its risky to do that, when your own DD doesnt scout. You might accidently run into a flanking DD and then you are in trouble by being permaspotted. But saying BBs take 15-20k damage per salvo is... i mean, you had 110k avg damge, mine is overall also in that area. If it would be common, we should have like 200k or more avg damage Sure, you can pen more places on Yamato, but there are also the big turrets to hit where its 50mm. Killing a BB with HE is also... questionable. Takes too long. And when you get full anti fire BBs (ive had several yamas/montys) where i got 1 fire in 100 hits. Totaly not worth it. I kinda did, didnt I? Henri is very similiar to Hindi, the longer it lives, the more influence it has. The problem is, Henri got Buffed with MBRB, and it has longer range torps (not that they are really good, but they are a threat to consider). Zao on the other hand is much more versatile because of its better concealment. And the ability to stealthtorp. And better HE alpha, so its stronger vs DDs. So you did ~220k damage in 2 games while hitting 9 torps in one? Doesnt make the guns look too good you know? As for CBs: Well, seeing how noone played Hindi in KotS, i think its safe to say that it has lost its place. Also doesnt change my oppinion that Hindi can only influence the game by dealing damage, and WG probably doesnt understand that. Its normal that it MUST deal more damage. If i check avg damage on maplesyrup, Hindi is 5k behing Zao and 10k behind Henri... Not fine imo.

So what can you do despite dealing damage? What does a 10k salvo do to a BB in the end? Nothing really. Tanking doesnt win games. And neither does dealing 100k damage. Also 50mm HE pen basicly does nothing against DDs (unless its a Khaba), then you have again lowest HE alpha DPM of all Cruisers.

But the AP is mostly bad against BBs, while it can citadel Cruisers reliably at almost maxrange (probably RU cruisers not). Hindi is imo a Cruiser killer, or German Cruiser in general. Devastating AP which will kill Cruisers giving broadside. If you rush a BB, you couldnt kill it without torps. You simply cant citadel them. I think you have the best bet vs Yamato (i tried it and got citadels in its cheek at 1,2km) but yamato is a BB you DONT want to rush. (btw i think yamato has 57mm in the center deck). Moskva you have DPM advantage either with HE or AP. Zao is so-so but it has very little HP so when it gives broadsides it usually dies first. Or if it kites away - let it. DM is the biggest problem imo. Bow on usually and high HE DPM. You can ambush it with torps, otherwise i stay away from it. Worcester dies pretty fast when you get its broadside. If it kites away - again let it be. I think Stalingrad is also no worthy adversary because low reload, just keep properly angled. Minotaur... lol Henri not too sure about that anymore because MBRB. BBs you can only engage when there arent too many left around - otherwise you will get blapped by one from across the map.

Except that for most ppl that +1 heal probably doesnt do any good. Unless you play without Premium consumables and without SI. Then it might actually help you If you compare hindenburg stats between servers, its clear why it performs so badly on EU: most germans play it (because german), and since there are so many, you get more ppl who are playing it badly^^ Hindenburg doesnt have other stuff going for it except damage dealing to influence the game. DM/Salem/Worc/Moskva got Radar. Zao has good stealth + buffed torps lately (awesome longrange HE spammer), HIV was the same, except it got MRBR and not good stealth (so its close to Hindi, but got a buff lately). And i feel Zao and Henri have much better chance to avoid citadels longrange than Hindi (troll armor or speed). Minotaur has smoke or Radar and awesome torps, deadly vs DDs and vs CVs, which are 2 strong classes to influence the game. Hindi is slow, is a bad HE spammer (low alpha), doesnt have really good AP (compared to others), and got stuff in return which is mostly good the closer you get to an enemy. Current meta, everyone stays at maxrange, so its not very usefull to have those attributes. The less Cruisers there are, the worse Hindi probably performs. So a buff giving it more heal vs fire is even more questionable.

Well who doesnt know these scenarios: Hey XX radar plz --- HELLO THERE IS A DD, RADAR IT (already thinking for him basicly) --- / alternativ answers: Radar is on cooldown / XX doesnt have radar NOOB / I run spotter plane Then you start to wonder: When did this guy actually use radar? (especially chapa or something which can insta rader when spotted). Had a Chapa once who popped radar <1 minute into the game. Guess he needed to check if a DD spawned on our side by accident? Good point. I dislike making Radar less of a teamplay tool, because sometimes 10 secs can be enough to get into cover, so basicly waste the radar for your team. Good players will never stop playing for the team. I will not. I will everyone give the benefit of the doubt, because i cant blame him for the fails the idiots did before him. -
