    Actually: No, I (as i was the division Cruiser in question) could NOT have hunt the DD down. Being permaspotted with Hindenburg having 7k HP left there was no chance to try to push him, having a Zao, Yamato, NC, Amagi infront of me + the DD spotting me. I knew where the DD was (roughly) but didnt expect him to be that cocky with ~900 Hp left. And the BB with me was a total . Hiding behind islands, only coming out to KS. While he should have pushed on my flank, to shoot the enemy broadsides, he stopped and reversed. I tried to ran away behind an island, but when i was still spotted at the time i thought i should be in cover i perfectly knew where he MUST be, and told Forlornsailor to use Radar. Do you think our BBaby actually shot a 900HP DD? ofc no, i saw his shells flew by when i was desperately trying to get my backturrets to shoot him, because it was close to maxrange Radar as stated already. He was just about getting out of it, when i managed to shoot, get 1 hit and a fire which luckily killed him (4 fire damage ) thx @RAMJB will have a look later on.

  3. Depends... most often id agree. WIth kutuzov however i couldnt even reach him, alabama shot me from 20km Sure he got lucky with a Citadel ~~

    Do you have a replay from that? Just out of curiosity. F.e. If you see stuff like that, you can hardly blame Radar for it Smoke up infront of a Moskva and wait for the inevitable to happen...

    What is your most frustrating "Premium" ship?

    Hmm, tough one. Dont have that many Premium ships, and i feel well in almost all of them. I think the ones i dont like are - DoY - Oktyabrskaya First i even lost a coop battle in, but in randoms (2 battles tho) i tend to win doing nothing. Even if i try, it doesnt do anything. 1 Game in KGV felt 100 times better. 2nd is just god damn awful. I feel i hit 1 shell average per salvo. Tried a couple of times in sprint too, just garbage. No reason to play them for me Maybe i was just unlucky, but i really dont want to find out
  6. I get shot at in my smoke despite not being detected when i cover up. (just recently with Kutuzov) So it cant only be the Minimap-X. When its more rewarding shooting unaimed in a smokescreen, on a target which is further away than SPOTTED ships, something is clearly not right.

    Ive played 99 different ships, and i currently have >70 in port. Try to keep as many as possible, you never know if you want to play a specific one Also i dont sell one on which i got a permacamo, so i got many T6 ships^^

    Im actually moving away from the secondary build... Doesnt feel viable in my book. Currently i kinda have a mix (Manual Secondaries + AFT i have, but took CE and swapped the secondary module for Aiming system mod 1 just now) Damage + kills is fine, WR is debatable but i still have only few games played. Should get even better with the LU.

    Bot side has probably 0 points, so the game ends. That usually happens when the human side doesnt lose any ships and the bots dont have any caps, which would give them points over time (best coop mode is either standard battle or domination when each time has a cap already at the start)

    Ye i think so too. So far i only have the Hindi LU, and i wont use it because of the concealment loss. Turns it even more into an HE spammer, which it isnt anyway. Other ones i can get is Mino (wont use it) and GK (probably will use it). Dont have more T10 ships right now (except Salem which doesnt have one). The closest next one i would get is Worcester (only have seattle yet), and i dont think its a good trade for Concealment, especially after Radar range nerf.

    Personaly i might use it. Im playing with reload mod anyway, which is -12% reload -13% turret traverse. So i would get +3% faster reload (1 sec faster) and also gain 6% less slower turret traverse. In exchange not shooting 20,6km, but rather 19km as you say. But i play with spotter plane, so this can offset the lower range. (might be a good reason to use the special spotting aircraft mod aswell then) I dont want to deliberately shoot >19km anyway, and if you need to, spotter plane is enough for that. Secondary reload is neglible, becuase i feel secondary build is not worth it in this meta.

Could even make sense because the bots are doing the same anyway I dare you to go broadside to a Bot Mino in something it can citadel The problem with including speed in an aim-indicator is very questionable atleast. It would Buff BBs very much (atleast those without torps), since you can see if the target is slowing down/speeding up. I think everyone gets those moments when the target is just slowing down to avoid your shells.

    F.e. as for me, i dont see much options. - BFT i have already (which would be for better AA) - Vigilance would be against torps, personaly i dont have really ever problems with them, and im fine taking 1. I probably would take that one regardles. I never used Vigilance on any ship. If i take a full spread its a misplay on my part. - BoS? Thats like the same as having an extra heal as its mostly anti-fire. So i could take PM because i feel modules tend to break quite often (turrets/Tubes). Then i have 2 skills... JoaT? Most use for DCP/Heal (again mostly against Fires). High Alert... even more anti-fire. The other option would be to take another 4pt skill... - RPF pretty useless on Hindi - FP? Again anti-fire - AFT: Would be the most viable choice, but i would dump PT for that which is valuable more often than having better AA. And thats it. Yesterday a Zao dealt 24k damage with HE alpha to me causing 1 fire. Neither of the skills is helping me against that. And fire wasnt a problem to begin with I understand how for other players skills like vigilance can help them, but for experienced players the options are too limited, as they can compensate by playing better. Its basicly the same as with Neptune/Minotaur: They dont have enough usefull cptnskills. The best way to go is push your already strong AA to create an 7,2+km no-fly-zone. In the end it means, skills like vigilance are skill equalizers for the players. If you are bad, it helps you. If you are good, you dont need it but there arent enough options which would actually make a difference. As in the game yesterday, it was one of the few occasions i used all my heals. But i survived with 7k HP anyway. Would it make any difference if i would have 4-5k more? Not really. So basicly i could strip SI from my Hindi, because running out of Hydro/Spotter is even more unlikely than running out of heals.

    The difference would be not using smoke in the first place. If you werent hardspotted, you would have that info, so it doesnt really make sense to NOT have it

    T10 ships are still stronger than T9 ships. You complained about T10 being stronger than T8. FDG/Iowa/Lion have same amount of guns compared to their T8 predecessors. Izumo even got less firepower. Only Alsace has 50% more than Richelieu. You complained about having less firepower, so even by looking at the basic stuff, T9 is closer to T8 than its to T10. Also healthwise ships are closer to T8 than to T10. Oh, i get it now why you are so pissed: You are playing premium T8 ships and think you should be rewarded with better MM for that? Play T7 premium ships and you have your wish by having more often T5/6 to club Easy...

    Basicly we already have BBs as the user-friendly class. I dont think it would be good if all other classes would be equally as easy to play. Otherwise i ofc agree: Having bad DDs is almost as bad as having a bad CV. (alltho i do rage much harder against CVs, I really would hope they would stop playing CV). One ranked game i was permaspotted by an empty bomber almost in my spawn, because our CV couldnt even bother to send his fighter there So our team lost their only DD, just after i managed to kill the enemy DD We could have won that, but after that team had no spotting (me dead, CV dumb) and fell apart rather quickly. BBs are more like: OMG a scratch in my beautiful PAINT. IT HURTS!!!!! Ppl who are not playing for the team should die fast and early - sadly doesnt work that way because they camp behind the fleet dieing the last. The game simply doesnt tell them that they are bad. If anything, it more likely does the opposite because of their damage farming. Imo that rarely happens. We sometimes have those games, usually if its lowtier. But what i see more often (hightiers) is one team having f.e. 2x2 divisions, while the enemies have 2x3 div + 2x2 div. So not only 1 more, but also having 3-mandiv is much stronger than a 2-mandiv.

    Depends. You could say the same about T9. Should there bw any specific reason to play T8? For WG its ofc better if you are playing T10 (higher ship maintenance costs) so in order to pay for that you have to be really good, or pay real money (one way or the other). But if you are good, then you will still win more often even in a T8 ship, just for the reason that the enemy has T8 ships aswell. If they yolo, then your side is still better of with you alive.

    Id like to add: If you are hardspotted, and there is radar/Hydro/planes spotting you at the same time, all types of detection should be visible. Being hardspotted should not overrule the others.

    No doesnt matter for HE Only matters for AP. That makes HE citadel so crazy. If you hit the citadel armor from any angle, and you can overmatch it with HE, then you will get a citadel. If HE penetration would be calculated with angle, Cruisers would only shatter almost all the time. Most of them have barely enough penetration for 32mm (most places on hightier BBs) so if the BB would be angled, Cruiser HE would always shatter. You can try that in a trainingroom to test it yourself if you dont believe us
  22. Someone noticed that issue couple of months ago. Some ppl pointed out, that in port the captain viewer under yamamoto skills it says "0HP per second" but got called stupid by other forumites for pointing that out.... Guess noone bothers with "details" like that Make a bug report maybe?

    Torps are becomming stupid.

    Look at your stats: https://wows-numbers.com/de/player/500462385,Blackout_Ego/ Hightiers is probably not for you. Ask yourself why you want to play T10 when its obviously unfun for you. What do you gain by forcing it? Nothing really. Go back, play low-midtiers, have fun. Win-Win for everyone. You have fun, you actually can help your team to win the game, unlike hightiers where you are a burden for your team and making them lose. If you are getting dropped early game by a CV, then YOU are misplaying. If there is a CV, stick with your AA ships (not like Montana is actually a strong AA ship.... but still), or atleast dont go off alone somewhere where the CV can strike you at will. If you have problems with Shimakaze torps, then .... i dont know. Shima torps arent good to begin with. Yes, 15 torps can be launched at once, and they hit quite hard (not 60k however), but they are spotted very early. so you have time to evade most of them. Or again, stick with your team so you wont take so many torps. If you have problems with torps, take Vigilance cptn skill. Or learn to change your course more often.

    Riiight... How about we change the perspective, then its more like, DDs dont want to be countered If DDs are basicly counter to each other, then what happens when one side loses all its DDs and the others doesnt? What then without Radar? The only thing which can go wrong is when the DD screws up and gets himself spotted, by his own stupidity. Example from today, an enemy Shima was sitting inside D cap on Hotspot, behind/close to an Island ofc, our Moskva radared him, he got minimal damage, while i took 15k in my Hindenburg for getting 2 pens on him. I flanked around, and the Shima didnt have backup really, except a Yamato behind an Island and Zao/Roon roming in the back. But nothing stopped me from going around, so i flushed him out and killed him (19k damage) Problems: The DD didnt have backup. Fine, sure happens, we all know it. (at the same time, our DD didnt help us either) But he chose to stay there. So thats a problem on his side. He could have left because lack of support. If he would have been smarter, i couldnt have "surprised" him. You can beat those DD players by outplaying them. Goodluck outplaying a good DD player... without Radar they can do what they want. (not to mention that they will outplay the enemy DDs easily too)
  25. A little bit Dynamo farming in between (because Premium acc) First match was the best, didnt have all flags/super camos all the way, but >100k FreeXP. Btw i played one game Icarus to get Jervis, then started with Jervis grind: This thing is totaly OP compared to Mahan/Minsk. The guns are SO accurate, you can delete a schnellboot every salvo. Got 3 infront of you? Bam Bam Bam all dead. While Mahan/Minsk you normaly hit max 2 shells because they fly all over the place.
