    Ok guys, i think i got the bug. Ive expected this since loooong ago, but i wasnt sure how to get it. (well if i would have taken a human player in the training room, i could have reproduced it ~~) Its when the ship is turning! I remember everytime i get weird damage bugs, i was turning. And i think the rudder must be on max so that i gets bugged. I went to training room with 12 DDs and let them drive around but not armed. The problem is, they dont fully turn unless they have to evade an island, so i got it 2 times. If you shoot not moving bots, you will NEVER get the bug. Here screens Both times, i got more overpen damage than i should have gotten. 8*1270 = 10160 but i got 9*1270 damage. Respectively 9*1270 = 11430 while it was 10*1270 = 12700. So in @Reaper_JackGBR example, he did get infact 5 overpens from 3 shells.

    Ye, only 3 shells hit him, i think i found the one causing the penetration The penetration ribbon pops up slightly before the overpen ribbons, while the 2 next to the hit will be the ones overpenning him. Sadly, the damage number pops up right away so you couldnt tell if a shell is at fault or all 3... Never seen it with HE. I think since HE cant hit multiple sections of one ship, it shouldnt work?

    A Shell which deals Citadel + Penetration damage at the same time seems to actually more often saturate one area (atleast what ive seen from the times it happens to me) f.e. a Yamato shell dealing 17250 or so damage, which is not Cit + Pen, but Cit + Saturated pen. At this point (i mentioned it before) i think its not even some weird multi damage pens, i somehow feel its shells not "registering". They hit the target, but they dont show up in the statistics. THats why it somehow seems impossible to recreate in a training room. Must be some server problem maybe? Maybe OP did hit 5 shells, but game says it was only 3

    Seeing how you dont have much hightier Cruiser experience (T8 max and not really too good stats) im not sure if Kronshtadt would be the right ship anyway. Many ppl think Kron is OP, and i dont really agree with that necessarily. The armor is rather bad, since it cant really bounce BB shells, only your citadel is somewhat protected. Until ppl will learn to shoot infront of the turrets... And not to mention the dispersion is really trollish. Overall Musashi is better imo. Alaska will come at some point costing 1 mio FreeXP. Wouldnt hope that Missouri is coming back tho.
  6. How do you tank if the enemies decide to shoot the DD/Cruisers? You cant make them stop doing that. When a DD is being stupid, you cant help him. If a Cruiser is broadsiding, then you cant help him either

    How to citadel cruisers like seattle

    I rather feel that the citadel is sitting too low in the water, and the citadel deck is too heavily armored. So if you dont hit right at the waterline, you only hit the 25mm armor plating, shell doesnt arm, bounces off the citadel deck and exits the ship. I mean you could overpen the citadel, but not sure if that happens so often... i had a Dallas broadsiding my Nelson once, and i only got overpens. With sAP that shouldnt happen when i hit the citadel.

    Penetrations that cause no damage

    They wanted to "fix" that lately by having penetrations deal atleast 10% damage (like an overpen) on saturated areas, modules and torpedo bulges (last one would have been horrible) But they didnt go through with it... Not sure why they couldnt only implement damage on saturated areas or modules and not to torpedo bulges, i think that would have fixed those 0 damage penetrations. Other than that, i totaly agree that its no fun having a salvo deal 1k damage while you have 2-3 penetrations...

    Id give you 1000 upvotes if i could Man its horrible. The best one so far was constantly pinging all over the map that we have to get to the exit zone - when it was time (aka all missions done) you think he got his own [edited]in there? Nope... 0 star loss in the end Then one match today (luckily we played 3-div) the other 4 were literally doing nothing. I played CV and was observing them in between -> nothing. If one of us got a target low enough, suddenly the others shot at that target - usually missing or shooting too late Not to mention that they were dragging their feet right from the start. And in the end 3 of them died like in 1-1,5 mins. I went to exit zone in my CV suddenly game ended because they died (lucky it was 5 stars).

    For that you have Flags/Camos. With super Camo + all Flags you can get like 30k and more with 2k+ BaseXP. Doesnt exist for BaseXP ofc

    Played 4 matches Dynamo today which got me the first 2 stages done. If i would have more flags, i could do 50 FreeXP in an additional 2 Matches. Ok 50k BASEXP is tricky, that would probably take me ~17-20 games (2,7-3k BaseXP each roughly), which would be 5h of playing. Imo the first 3 stages are fine, but 50k BaseXP is not, so i somehow agree with OP.
  15. Played a couple of Dynamos Same FreeXP in 2 consecutive matches 62k Damage... i got told to leave something for the others But the Schnellboote literally spawned next to me and they were hunting me aswell And a Triple kill = Jervis has totaly OP guns.

    Or you could just open water gunboat in a Cruiser full broadside... you probably will get deleted right away. Imo Cruisers are more unforgiving if you make a mistake. DDs can die too, i just feel Cruisers die faster (even more so with BB AP changed)

    Predicting movement of the enemy and blindtorping him with information from RPF is also a skill And as i said: The enemy gets information too, since it shows that he is located.

    Well, if a numbnut like that says this to a DD on my team, i back the DD up and tell the moron to shut it. How rarely that happen (a teammate backing another up), kinda says how stupid the playerbase really has become. You would think there should be more than 1 (2-3 if div) players with a brain on a team.... One game not too long ago on Warriors path, 3 DD game, one went to each cap, we were trying to help at B. Enemy DD from A division got spotted in B (which was with 2 Radar Cruisers) and we told our DD to basicly give it up. He did that, and overall he was a good player. Meanwhile on A the few enemies got stomped by our team (our Harugumo came first with 4 kills) On C however, we had a DM (who died at some point) going on and on about our Lightning at C not capping and stuff. The lightning came 2nd, because he played really well AGAINST 3! Radar ships. That includes a rushing Moskva on the flank. He even survived all game. And we roflstomped the enemies. We complimented all of our DDs in the end But here is the problem we often see aswell: Our DDs tried to get the caps. But they were smart enough to pull out (B/C) or push through (A). But first and foremost you cant just ignore to get the cap. Its pretty much always possible to atleast try it and not die. Because you simply cant know in advance what and if something is coming that way. Worst case scenario is basicly giving the enemy a Cap 4 free, while there was only like 1DD with no backup. But without trying or atleast spotting - how can you know that? TBF, that works all ways, not only against DDs. A DD is telling me after the game, how i was useless and maxrange sniping, while in reality i was basicly scraping the paint of his ship INSIDE the cap... They simply dont know or they are making up stuff to justify their own incompetence which loses games (most likely this one). If someone says something stupid to me, i just laugh in front of my PC and tell him to shut it.

    Yes, no doubt in my mind he got radared, i think probably went like this: Missouri went ahead, got spotted at some point (when Shima came around the island) and the popped Radar just to make sure. For me in that situation im not sure if i would have gone wide. Basicly Hipper + missouri should have been spotted (i expect them to shoot at the Cruisers, DM died). Meanwhile, 3/4 of the enemy team was spotted below B... IF his Cruisers would have gone that way also, then maybe... but they didnt.

    Thats kinda the point: They dont need to And isnt it the way its supposed to be? DD spots Cruisers, which dies to BB. DD can then kill enemy BB, because the Cruiser is gone. Personaly as a Cruiser main, i hate games with more than 3 DDs. It starts to be a level where it gets to be problematic to track the DDs movement. And if one is going wide, then it can screw you over if your friendly DDs dont help or when you are not a Radar Cruiser. Not to mention losing all your own DDs because they forgot to patch Brain.exe

    The incident i had in mind when i wrote that: Our Shima on Sea of Fortune (we spawned south), went outside of C straight into enemy spawn, open water gunboating a GK at <7km (probably closer), died pretty much instantly without even throwing Torps. Shima is kinda the BB of the DDs. Everyone "loves" it because 20km torps, and it has been around the longest, so most ppl died their way up to get it. Which means, the worst players have it and like to play it aswell. Whether they suck in it or not doesnt matter for them, as they are playing "4 fun". How the above mentioned shima had fun tho... is a mistery to me Would be great if those players would go back to play BB... atleast then you can carry them to a victory if you are left with good DD players.

    The Shima on El2azers side didnt evaporate in C, despite being pushed by a DM, having ~ equally less backup than the Z. The difference is, the shima did retreat, while enemy Z and Lightning went full retard and just die for no reason. The roon was in reasonable distance (lets face it, any closer he could just go yolo) Even Alsace/Monty are somewhat around, but if they saw up to 8 enemy ships, what should they do except die? (if you are smart, and can see minimap, you even could count up to 9 ships, since the Henri was AFK which enemy team probably couldnt know? Fact is: The Z could have run away, yet he didnt. The Lightning could have left also, but he didnt. The Lightning died for the cap, even tho they already had the advantage with C. Shima was equaly worse by attacking that Missouri, without accomplishing anything (obvious, missouri is not dead, yet spotted the shima ) DDs run ahead and die after couple of mins. BBs arent that fast. What are the GK/FDG supposed to do back there? the first screen is rather early in the game, as most of both teams kinda sit in their spawn still (especially the BBs)

    I agree with @Saiyko You could literally babysit them, they would still die (and blame you for not "tanking") How do you tank if the enemies want to shoot the DD? goot question isnt it By this time, you can observe everything: - DD smoking up infront of Radar cruiser, waiting to die - Gunboat in the open (best done in Shima) - Rushing down *insert any ship* because reason? - Enter cap, smoke up, sit broadside, get torped (if not get torped, get radared) - Rush into enemy spawn, get cornered, smoke up and wait till enemy team kills you - Randomly beach at an Island because a BB detected you. Then smoke up, wait till smoke runs out, have the BB waiting for you and blapp you (meanwhile miss torps). - Smoke up anywhere on the map, wait till you get radared or torped - Just YOLO without doing anything, then say "i play for fun!"

    Thats true, but the Bot CV poses a much larger threat throughout the game, because he can strike without being spotted. Today from Killer Whale: - If you play CV yourself, it became boring because you could solely farm damage. Bot CVs are in that sense more annoying that human CV players (usually), since they will attack right away, forming a stream of planes attacking your team. - If you dont have a CV, then its much easier since you dont have to evade incoming torpedo bombers. They usually are pretty annoying, as this will make you turn where you might not want to (showing broadside to one of the bot BBs). - BBs are easier to farm in a CV. Drop bombs -> make fire -> bot uses DCP -> wait 10 sec -> use Torp bomber for Flooding. If its a CV, you have to wait 30 sec for his DCP to run off, thus it actually takes longer to kill him.
