Salty kids reporting for no reason
DFens_666 replied to Captain_Newman's topic in General Discussion
Id like to add that you can report someone while the game is still going on. So if you do that, would it count if you are not top of the scoreboard or wouldnt it count if you are no 1.? Seems a bit questionable. Also i sometimes feel that your own teammates tend to report you far more often because they are more salty than the enemy (can be some exceptions like playing smoke Cruiser ) -
Sometimes it feels just easier to drop it with a CV than to gun it down

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
DFens_666 replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Actually i didnt even have CE (yet).... The problem was the enemy where in a large blobb so advancing wasnt really an option. And they showed me broadside so Amagi tried to shoot me once, bounced and ignored me afterwards. So kinda i wasnt/didnt have to tank and at the same time enemies ignored me. I did make up for that in the next game having 1mio potential in my shchors and surviving with 306 HP -
Btw, i was like, we did that with 4 guys and YOU were there... had to find screens. - Sudden memory loss? - Got abducted ? - Where is the real NBTR

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
DFens_666 replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
I think nice match for the first one with NC. ALltho the shells really are slow - but are much harder hitting than the other T8 BBs -
Oh ye, we did it back when it still was with CVs^^ What is there now instead? Narai can be done with 4, but its hard work (still kinda funny when you think how easy it can fail with 7 players )
-
I see those as 2 seperate issues: - The team fails as a whole and lose the operation because of that. I think majority of the Operations can be completed with 4 players, so having 7 guys should normaly be sufficient, unless they are all really bad. Then we can ask, do they deserve to win? But when you have a good match, you can carry them to a victory most of the time. - Killer Whale: As shown, you can basicly kill half the enemy ships (5 of those are the cimarrons), deal a high amount of damage and then your team is like "i dont know what im doing, what is time ticking and what is that green circle over there"? There is nothing YOU can do to prevent this. You would literally have to let your teammates die, in order to get a chance to win. And this is totaly questionable in a TEAMgame + you could farm less XP yourself since you cant kill the enemies.
-
1. As you can see, it actually is. But at the same time, it isnt, because the OP is so easy. You could make it twice as hard by putting higher tier enemies in the game but just remove the exit zone and it would be much more fun. 2. I love this arguement... I give you the nicknames of those 5 guys in the game, you get one person of your choice for division and you do it with them. 3. And how do i get rid of the others YT Vid -> They are playing 4 man division, they are already more than 50% of the total amount. We can take 2 other guys who have the ability to think and we would 5 star this OP 100% all the time - no doubt in my mind. Its not right to lose the game when you kill everything there is and your team just decides to [edited]you over. Im pretty sure the Pensacola did it on purpose because he was telling me all the time what to do, and at the end he just went cruising around and ignoring the exit Thats the players you have to deal with in this game. But i guess you didnt get the point of this thread
-
Well, if it doesnt work because players dont understand it, i guess there is no choice than to remove it !? (otherwise i agree with dumbing down the game is bad, but since its PvE i think its questionable to punish the players who know what to do) Also the problem is, i think this OP is much easier with 4 guys than it is with 7 - and imo that says a lot. And its solely due to the exit zone. @aboomination not funny Great idea, WG please turn teamdamage on, then i can kill them atleast Also its kinda the problem if i want to farm damage - id deliberately have to let them get killed in order to get a victory

BB AP on DD's not working as intended
DFens_666 replied to ApesTogetherStronK's topic in General Discussion
Actually you are right. I remembered an incident not too long ago, where i did 38572 damage with my Musashi on a Montana, while it should have been 30932 damage. 14800 + 3x4884 + 1480 equals not 38572. Read my earlier post and see screens (page 1). DD has to move and turn. But i think its true for the other classes aswell if you want to eat more damage -
But in a battle its quite different to really aim below the waterline (and then getting hits with it). You might aswell get no hits at all (happened to me in Nelson vs Dallas because everything overpenned so i aimed lower). Id agree with your statement for ships like Yamato (better Dispersion), but i feel Kronshtadt is far too inaccurate to really hit where you are aiming. I even missed the Citadel of a Musashi at ~4km with it once And dealing 0 damage is worse than atleast getting some overpens.
-
Imo Kron HE is too weak (1386 per pen) compared to 900 AP overpen. So in worst case AP scenario you would deal more damage, but probably getting even one penetration would tip it again in AP favor, not to mention citadels.
-
<-- same here 95% of the time i check CV stats, i/we got the glue eater
-
@thiextar Just went in the training room to test a little bit and id say its... possible Im pretty sure you can easily overpen the citadel, even at longer distances. But a little bit of angle is enough to get citadels (or be lucky and hit below the waterline) Here are some screens.
-
id say Kron has pretty large caliber guns, and the dispersion is more BB like than Cruiser. Penetration is also closer to BB than Cruiser. And 2nd, i dont feel that your Kron avg damage is that good to be telling someone with close to 300 games on how to shoot
-
Well, majority of my 2x div games are 2 cruisers... But recently i put more emphasis on playing different classes while in division, because you simply cant count on your team to do anything. And with 2 or even 3 same class ships in a division you shoot yourself in the foot, because the enemies are more likely to get a division aswell, which might have a stronger setup. Basicly this means: 1. Should be fun. (thats why i dont grind so much) 2. But also be strong enough to compete with other Divisions to win. Occasionally we do also sealclubbing / troll divisions (smith + Emden smoke dakka ) Not sure if id go for category tryhard tho... i think that includes CVs and we rarely play div with CV (only at lowtier a bit).

BB AP on DD's not working as intended

I think its a bug that they dont know how to fix, so they go with "its a feature". -

As i said, i tried it too (several time) and it never happened to me. And i know other ppl who said that they never got the bug in the training room Do you happen to have screenshots from that? According to MrConway its a feature -

1. I think its because DDs are moving faster, and when they are steering, they glide over the map. Cruisers do it too but less, and BBs basicly dont. Maybe thats the reason? 2. Ye, i got that one while moving 1/4 speed but rudder was hard left and 1 Yamato shell hit me for 17250 damage. 3. As i said, ive never seen it before. But its also harder to spot probably, since you will hit many more shells on a BB, and with all the modules i feel BBs also "eat" most of the penetration damage aka shells dealing 0 damage. If BBs would be buffed, id say many players would be happy aswell But i feel that created a whole new different issue - same as stupid BB players. DD rushing mindlessly in to "rush down a BB". While that happened before, i tried to pay attention to it while watching streams. And i feel it happened more often than before Buff one class = make the playerbase more stupid. i think we need to make the game harder and more punishing to reverse that. I already feel that broadsiding is less punishing than showing your bow - which is imo questionable (atleast for Cruisers). Broadsiding might sometimes only give you overpens, while being bow on you get massive pen damage. -
I think with your divisions you would have lost anyway (your 5 guys have like 45% avg - thats almost being generous ) Enemy Div is like ~54% Sadly tho, WG should have considered SOME balancing between Radar ships distribution.... they rather go with *edit mechanic changes as usual. (i know there are arguements why its bad, but i think it would be possible without being too obvious that a Minotaur would use Radar f.e.)

BB AP on DD's not working as intended
DFens_666 replied to ApesTogetherStronK's topic in General Discussion
Then why cant you reproduce this on a target which isnt moving? If you shoot a bow-on DD, then the BB shell should penetrate the bowsection and continue inside the DD. Even when penetrating, it would still pass more than the bowsection of the DD. I believe, when the target is steering, it somehow screws with the shell movement and the different sections of the ship. Thats why, even when broadside, you get one shell dealing more damage than it should. Is it somehow possible that the shell enters the target, leaves it and enters it again? Thus the game would think, its a different shell? And there are 2 options why it wont happen to BBs (atleast ive never seen it so far): Either the BB is too big (sections) or its too heavily armored. -

So what do we learn from that? When you are getting shot at, dont turn Also i think: WG actually knows the problem with that, but dont want to admit it. Thats why MrConway said, its a feature, not a bug. And i also think, that the other AP changes (which they didnt go through with) somehow all connect to this same problem. These different compartements on the ships must cause some weird problems - atleast thats what i think. -

Just to clarify, talking about WoWs - not CVs
