    My point kinda was, that when you make one class stronger, somehow the players also get dumber (looking at the Lightning in my example). While at the same time, good players will find means to exploit that strength. And by making BBs wearker, they will camp even harder than before. How to solve this? I think that ship has sailed long ago. Like, if we would make the game more like it should be (rock paper scissors) i think games would be even more horrible. Also i think its impossible to make BBs less popular. Cruisers should be the go to class, then we would have decent games (alteast how i see it). But this doesnt work, unless they would be OP, and then we are faced with the same problem again.
  3. Ok, @MrConway @Tuccy @Sub_Octavian Change Killer Whale Operation. This is like sabotaging other players to screw them over - THIS IS NOT FUN! Make this base thing go away, average player DOES NOT UNDERSTAND IT! I could deal infinite amount of damage and kills, and i would still lose because of this - it has to go PLZ! /rant

    First match i played today (NC) on Land of fire. Spawned center (standard battle) went to where A cap would be, because most of the team lemming to C. Tried to get some shots at the enemies, which were pretty much camping. Meanwhile, Yorck and Atago rushed through from C straight to the middle towards me, and a Lightning joined them which was on my side anyway. So i had 2 Cruisers + a DD trying to farm me. What did my Jervis, Belfast, Hipper do? Run towards map border where they died to a DD/Belfast and whining how bad the team was. Hipper didnt die, but wasnt bothered to help me either. So i basicly had to kill Yorck myself, luckily Atago got constantly damaged by someone else on my team (dont know who). But the DD... man he was tunnelvisioning me. Open water gunboating all the time, but i wanted to get the Cruisers first. Finaly at some point he got so careless that he went full broadside towards my team and then he basicly instantly evaporated. - My Cruisers/DDs werent bothered to help me one bit (those on my side ofc) even tho it would have been free damage since i was between them, and they wanted to kill me anyway. - Enemy DD thought he can just rush me down So what good does it do when 80% of the players are playing like they are lobotomized? Your team doesnt want to help you, and the enemy are pretty much killing themselves because of dumbing down the game.

    No, this means, that DDs will be the next CV class. You see <30% Midways with hundreds of battles and they wont stop playing because of the economy. And neither will DDs. The side with the better DD players (when there is no CV) has already better chances to win, if you increase the gap, then they will dominate the game even more

    Did you guys know that it happens when you are turning? The last time it happened to me when it was very obvious (Yamato shell on Salem for 17250 damage), i was slowing down and rudder hard left when it happened, so i was maybe 1/2 or 1/4 speed at the time of the hit.

    Imo the consumable made them too strong, because they always have the opportunity to punish a "mistake". Even the possibility is a threat in itself, which basicly limits the options on making a risky turn, because it could get you killed (even more so for the BBs with reload booster). The MBRB on the Cruisers is especially bad for DDs and Cruisers (less so for BBs, only to get permafires). Because you can dish out lots of damage in a short amount of time. As long as you expect them to have the MBRB ready to use, making a turn in a Cruiser is severe punishment or you straight up die. overall i guess, speedboost as a gimmick didnt cut it for the French lines, so they went with MBRB - imo not good and id rather have seen something else.

    I wonder what you are waiting for then? Maybe you could wait for Neutrashimy being a coal ship, but i guess that might take some time (and it could aswell be FreeXP or any other really). But since it will be T9 i bet my money on FreeXP/Coal

    That was what i was hoping for when they announced the changes to modules/saturated areas receiving damage... because then HE would be totaly viable and even more OP than BB AP against DDs. But the way it is now its kinda questionable... And todays game made me going crazy on how many penetrations dealt 0 damage again (on all classes)... man would i have loved for them to fix that. The best one was 3 pens + 1 overpen on a 6k HP FDG... after that he stood there still with 4+k HP
  11. I forgot to point out that my spotting damage was 48k in that NC match *hint* Ppl just dont like shooting BBs that can tank (neither do I tbh)

    I guess a Yamato shell cita on a Zao doesnt hurt. Only 36% HP shaved off And let me remind you that a Cruiser is far more easier detected than a DD + its bigger in size.

    Did you play KGV shooting HE or AP? For me HE doesnt really work (well it kinda worked the first game). After playing a couple of more battles i got so frustrated with HE 1. salvo fire *BB uses DCP* -> 2nd salvo no fire -> 3rd salvo no fire *BB gets undetected, time passing by* -> 4th salvo fire *BB uses DCP again* Not to mention that HE Alpha is totaly weird aswell, hey 6 penetrations, thx for 5k damage or some weird crap. After that i went back to AP -> first salvo on Nagato 17000 I guess HE just stinks for me.

    Yes, shells dealing more damage than they should still exists (as for the other classes aswell, obviously WG is like [edited]them). DD needs to be turning for that to occur however.

    Because it makes DD players also dumb? Sure i can see how good DD players like this changes, as it makes it easier on both fronts (less BB AP damage and less DDs to worry about as they turn their brain off and go full retard) Can cause even more onesided matches imo

    Sure, i dont deny that. But if a DD decides to rush him in order to torp from 1km, then i think the DD might aswell die? DDs dont want to get blapped across the map by a BB - that i can understand. But shouldnt the BB be able to kill the DD point blank range (aka DD detection) then aswell?

    I think this is a bit far fetched. Only Missouri can "counter" DDs (somewhat). Because you have to spot a DD to actually kill it, there are only limited options to counter DDs. - CVs: I think the original hard counter to DDs, which ofc didnt really work out - Radar ships: Quite obvious - Other DDs: I basicly say that this doesnt count as a counter. Every class could counter each other by that definition. Also it means, that the DD that wins that encounter gains a tremendous advantage over the other side. On lowertiers, some Cruisers have the ability to counter DDs, because of map size and torprange compared to detection range.

    Im wondering: You guys do know (i think you know - not sure about the others at WG ) that this happens to Cruisers and BBs aswell? Especially the first ones are getting pretty hardly punished by receiving like 120-133% damage from one BB shell. Or even 2 overpens dealing like 50% damage compared to the normal 20% (just 2 days ago 2 overpens with my Nelson on an Algerie got me ~4,7k damage - he died, so could have been even more)

    As i stated above, its not about "level playingfield" Its about (once again) WG managed to create a new level of stupidity. First we should ask the question: Why do you want to yolo rush a BB in the first place? Obviously DDs dont want to "wait" and get all the damage right away (torping from further away = less chance to hit/kill). Now we have to ask: What is a BB supposed to do? It shouldnt shoot from range, but at the same time if it gets too close and abandoned, a DD can rush it. Whether some people around here like it or not, even when BBs are quite fast on hightiers, they cant just "run away" like a DD or even a Cruiser. Or other option you have braindead Cruisers who go full broadside and evaporate, then what? Havent played that many games after the change, but even in those you see idiots more than before + what ive seen on streams. - DDs rushing BBs both succesful and not. Worst offenders going full YOLO and dieing within 10 secs. - BBs shooting SOLELY HE for the entire match - we can only speculate on the reason, but there were some of those And on another note, i think Flamu deliberately ignored to shoot a DD because he had AP loaded to shoot a - surpise - Cruiser. How does this help making Cruisers more popular? The game is not getting better by making it easier for a specific class - i think we already knew that from BBs.

    Ive always wondered maybe that whole EL thing needs some changing: - If you have guns loaded, make them switch ammo in 50% of the reload time regardless if you have a cptn skill. - EL gets changed, that you can fast switch ammo WHILE reloading i.e.: If you are currently reloading, >50% of your normal reload time (like 20 secs left for a BB) then you can switch ammo and it will continue reloading without reset. If your reload is <50% (like 10 secs left for a BB) you can switch ammo but it will start at 50% of the reload circle (back to 15 secs f.e.) for special cptns with 75% EL they can ofc still be faster than normal cptn It will also remove the possibility of waiting till you have reloaded and then switch ammo, which is faster than switching ammo right away.

    Agreed. Its pretty stupid from all povs - DDs try to blindly rush BBs despite them having backup (or they even rush RN BBs who have HE loaded on purpose) - DDs rush BBs and its not really that easy to switch to HE - if you just shot you have to wait 30 secs till you can shoot the DD. One salvo is never enough to kill a DD, even with 2 you gotta be lucky - BBs shooting HE all the time (Only played 3 games today and ive seen several BBs do that...) Great that they managed to make 2 classes more stupid at the same time
