Might aswell go Spotter plane + Spotter plane mod, so you can longrange spam early game. Reload mod is always valuable. Also Hydro seems kinda useless if you sit in the back too long. And so is LU imo... if you sit in the back, you shouldnt be getting HE spammed (or if they try, you should be able to maneuver enough to dodge the incomming shots) I dont like the LU, because you have a harder time working with your conceament. If you get surprise permaspotted by a DD (can even be another Cruiser) it makes life so much harder.

Thats because you cant overmatch his Bow You should have aimed for his superstructure - 2 overpens would have killed him. Or even switchting to HE would have helped, then you could have damaged his Bow. -
Well, that makes sense yes, but its also the reason why i personaly wont use the legendary module. Fires shouldnt be an issue most of the time. Either you die to HE alpha or AP... At the same time, have to get a shitty concealment ontop, which isnt necessary crucial, but can be at times.

Well, that was quite obvious wasnt it? As average players simply cant survive long enough to make use of the heals - and fire is never the greatest threat for a Cruiser anyway (well some exceptions ofc). I do see an advantage in CBs tho, as there you receive firedamage most of the time, so i can get a little bit of extra HP out of it. But for randoms, this "buff" was a joke.

The firechance displayed in port will never hold up, because of this http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Fire "Fire chance" Even if the enemy doesnt run any anti-fire stuff, it will still be lowered due to the fire resistance coefficient. Usually most BBs do run some sort of anti-fire build tho. -

Always remember that you cant get fires on sections that are already burning. This can influence having a low fire chance. If not -> crap happens... Happened more than once to me that ive got 1 fire with 100 hits in my Hindenburg, on one ship that is which wasnt burning -

I dont think (hope?) they mean it like that. Gunbloom only stays on maxmimum (if you sit in smoke then its what 2,xkm?) if you are spotted by the time you are shooting. Up till a couple of patches ago, the gunbloom always stayed on max for 20 secs even when noone was spotting you anymore. If you never were spotted, the gunbloom always returns to normal detection after 1-2 secs. But the change made it possible, f.e. you shot while moving behind an island, and even if you got spotted, the gunbloom would get canceled after noone could spot you anymore. Imo it was a reasonable and good change. By the same logic, why does gunbloom ever reset if noone is spotting you? Then it could be at max all the time even if noone ded see you shoot. That would basicly be what you fear whats gonna happen. -
What are you supposed to get from duplicate Musashi dropped from santa box?

I think MrConway said something about this rare case if it occurs, that you should contact them or something like that... they will give you some compensation as you actually get 1 credit if you have the Musashi in port -
He was talking about strike planes, 116 is with the fighters ofc.

Probably that, especially if he is running MM monitor (from what i know, i dont use it) as it displays ship WR. Even good players can be unlucky in the first dozen games or so - i got 36% in my GK, so if he spots me in it, id be in that list aswell I even think he is correct if he sees lots of low WR guys in hightiers. They might have 40-45% on account, but can be <35% on T10. -

DDs saying Hindenburg has radar, so they cant cap CVs thinking they did awesome because they have equal amount of kills and planekills (4!!) - on T10 that is (both CVs did play ofc) Hightier US CAs who dont know what Radar is Chapa using Radar 1 min into the game to "check for DDs" ?? BB asking any non-smoke Cruiser for smoke - if you tell them you dont have smoke, they start to insult you I believe we had the same GK Ive seen an Iowa turn in spawn, then reverse towards a cap. Sometime into the game (after it was clear there is nothing coming to C) he decided to accelerate back into the spawn Also seen BBs shoot nothing but HE (my favorite is Musashi/Yamato) and Cruisers shoot nothing but AP at angled *insert any ship here* IN THE SAME MATCH as previously mentioned BBs Thats when you know you are f***ed -

In CBs you hardly need anything else. Dont need AA because no CVs, and then you already run out of options anyway. For CBs its nice to have 2,5 mins Hydro which can spot torps >5km away from you, as its not protection for yourself, but also for your teammates. -

Bismarck gets a good concealment ~12,3km afaik with module + CE (and camo ofc). If its usefull after 0.8.0? Who knows. At first, there probably will be tons of CVs around. But i dont see them sticking around really. Its repetetive and boring (even looking at it), at the same time, all other surface ships kinda get the finger. Also CE gets nerfed for all classes to 10% (so everyone gets a nerf despite DDs), which will result in worse Concealment even with CE. At this very moment, id still pick CE. Let the mainguns do their job. Without manual secondaries, you can forget the secondaries right away. If you dont take that, you can ditch all other secondary related stuff right away. You should be able to achieve 15-20% from your damage with secondaries + fire... atleast thats how it used to be (not necessarily every game tho). In this meta? Im not too sure. Thats why i didnt go full secondary build GK. 150mm german secondaries already have 37mm pen because 1/4. Only the small caliber secondaries have 1/6 rule. I use Vigilance on my Hindi in CBs... kinda freaky having like 6km torpedo detection Could be more with the special captain ofc, but since hindi captain is 19 and new captain is 0, chances of me switching ever is basicly 0. -

The way i see it in this meta: Bismarck being toptier with secondary build -> you can cause quite some havoc with it. Most of the armor wont withstand your secondaries, and the engagements are closer in general. Bismarck lowtier with same build -> not much "fun" as you probably cant get into that range most of the time (unless you like to die fast?) Back when i played Bismarck i did go for secondary build. Then i didnt go for FDG for a looong time, mainly because it was so bad. Did that after last summer, and skipped FDG with FreeXP, with GK i ditched the full secondary build too. Focus on the mainguns, but i left manual secondaries in, but took CE instead of the other stuff. Concealment really helps to manage your engagements, and Aiming system makes accuracy more bareable rather than a bit more secondary range. as for the cptn build. Take PT if you want - imo PM isnt needed on a BB. EM is not necessarily needed, german BBs do have rather decent turret traverse. But its up to you imo. If not take AR Definetely take SI first! More heal is always good for a BB when you dont yolo in. Personaly id go for CE first these days. The concealment is decent, and it can help you to get in closer and get your mainguns to work. Also you can get out easier if the crap hits the fan. -
That would have been the case with RTS CVs aswell. Problem was, with CVs being so low in numbers, it didn really matter if once in a blue moon you get targeted by one. Even running Hydro made more sense as it was usefull more often than running Def AA on Cruisers. Atleast thats how i felt. Most of the time, you could evade CVs by dodging or staying with your fleet. And even if you get a super unicum CV who just ra** you at will, then its like 1 in xxx games. Speccing for AA was pretty useless - thats the sad part. Using your brain doesnt work for the majority of the playerbase anyway, but the first one i can relate to

You should always try to dodge salvos. If you manage that, then they will hit less shells, which means receiving less fires. Ontop of that, RN BBs do have a high fire chance, but they still have BB dispersion, so naturally they will hit less often. If you have heal and DCP on CD, simply go undetected and wait till they are back up again. If you cant go undetected, you overextended and deserve the punishment. If you have problems with fires, use all available options to reduce fire chance and fire duration - DCSM 1 + 2 in slot 2 and 4 for modules - Anti-fire Signal and November-Foxtrot for shorter CD on consumables helps aswell - Fire prevention, BoS captain skills (if you wanna go over the top use JoaT and/or High alert aswell) but CE is still better than FP. There are many ways to help you fight fires. When you are good, you dont need em. If you are not so good, they surely can help you. Using secondary builds or whatever can be nice and fun sometimes, but if you have problems with fires, then go with a build that helps YOUR playstyle. -
This. Its fun all the PTS games ive watched in streams: halfway through all surface ships are dead, 6 CVs are left alive and they basicly cant kill one another... fun?

Ah [edited]i knew it! I saw Flamu playing on PTS lately, and i saw the Bloom staying on max despite him being undetected. stupid WG... that was a GREAT change... (pic from Flamus stream, concealment is max despite him being not detected, he was undeteced for some time already at that point, thats why i spotted it) -

Ye, one of those great DDs who wanted to farm a BB (me) Also it kinda gives you a fuzzy fealing tanking 3 mil in a lowtier BB - with a CV in a game. Could have done more but after i saw the smokeclouds (Benson + Grozo), i had to turn out and ofc Missouri punished me for 25k or something like that In the 2nd match, i thought i would be dead several times, but half their team got stuck in B... starting to feed 1by1... They could have pushed through easily, killed me first and then Forlorn and it might have been a different ending.
