    Lets be realistic here: Its a key game mechanic that everyone can spot for each other. Why would they change that? Also using terms "doesnt work" is just bad when you talk about a game. If it can be programmed, everything is possible. Its not reallife! Ofc everyone is allowed to voice their opinion. Then make a detailed discription what should change, why the current form is bad, and why your version would be better. Without using "doesnt work" to underline your position. And the probablity of making it into the game is still... pretty much 0 id say. The ships which should or can do that, are balanced that way. If you want every ship gunboating around in the open, then they need to be balanced that way. Happened to have a look at the Citadel of a Minotaur f.e.? Since smoked up ships seem to be one of your issues, you should know that they arent easy to play by just driving around in the open without using cover. Yes, who doesnt remember those famous naval battles where almost one dozen BBs were fighting each other even at the closest of ranges with minimal DD/Cruiser support... oh wait

  3. Great guy down there... we asked him the whole game to do ANYTHING (fight DDs f.e.) His usual respons was: "Im busy sinking ships" didnt even get Sea Star btw for dealing his OWN HP IN DAMAGE!!!! He tried to push the Ranger into an island - luckily doesnt work with his puny DD... also he tried to kill the Ranger with his guns i think (and he called one of us edited ...) Wows playerbase in a nutshell: - Useless af - Insults everybody else - Thinks he is the greatest

    Well, Kron has enough pen to not shatter on the main belt most of the time... Missouri has like 340mm there, and Kron has even 410mm at 18,2km. Ofc angling will make it shatter, but still more likely to pen the belt armor than to get enough angle on upper belt pens.

    I think its ironic that people act one way, and the response is similiar to theirs. And people dont like that, when its bad that is They act like jerks, get the same response, turn the table and make the other the bad guy... pretty insane i guess?

    Should pen all T2/3 DDs with HE? 12mm armor penetration, DDs have 6-12mm on those tiers. But did you know Tachibana AP can never bounce? Only problem is the AP penetration is so low that you still shatter... and ofc both AP and HE have same 1100 maxdamage

    Thats very hard to advice actually. If you are willing to learn from your mistakes, you should be able to develop that sense at some point. Alltho 1k random battles is probably not enough for that yet. What most BB players are lacking, is the ability to create crossfires. They cuddle up on one point of the map, giving the enemy map control and the ability to just angle against all BBs at once. Basicly if you want to create a cossfire, you have to do it yourself. Thats what im trying to achieve while not giving the enemies too much map control. THe downside to this can be, that you put yourself into a vulnerable position - most BB player run to a flank, which means crossfire has to come from the center of the map. Which also means, both enemy flanks can shoot at you, thats IF the enemies realize that, luckily most of the time they dont (and you open yourself up to getting torprushed by a DD) Creating crossfires isnt easy, if your other BBs are following you. That i hate very much, cause it means i have to relocate. And all this is still changing every game, because its never the same. Thats why its probably easier to just try some stuff and see how it goes. Excluding Yoloing in and camping in the back - everyone knows that those options are bad

    Best way to buff Conqueror 457mm guns?

    Doesnt work with AP tho. In order to overmatch 32mm armor (Most BB bows on hightiers) you NEED 460mm guns (basicly 458 would suffice). Overmatching has nothing to do with Armor penetration like HE. AP has also armor penetration values, which change depending on how far the target is away, and ofc can bounce if the angle is bad. HE penetration never changes at range and angle.

So, just stumbled upon an interesting "bug": If you own any T6 ship, which isnt fully upgraded, you WONT get the B-Hull/Torps/Gunrange modules for free, as opposed to if you dont have the ship, you will get it fully upgraded!!! I had the Hatsuharu in port, never played it so its stock. I got the 3 pt commander (as its on the ship, i didnt have one on it) + the permacamo + a portslot. @ForlornSailor didnt own the Hatsuharu, and this is what he got: Fully upgraded ship 4 free So if you dont want to get screwed: Sell your stock ship before you complete the task for Hatsuharu/Nürnberg/Icarus/Normandie/Dallas. @MrConway Can you fix this? I dont think its intentional. Can i also demand 17,200 FreeXP so i can research it? Sounds cheap, but why should i not get the reward other people get?

    Its actually correct, alltho the description is questionable. - Spot 6 ships (as @Profilus said, i think they used to write "be the first to spot" ) - Get 6 spotted ribbons There is the difference basicly. Ive read both, and the first one means different ships, the other is counting the spotted ribbons. (if you dont know, you can get a spotted ribbon every 1 minute if the ship is not spotted)

    Probably comes down to the playstyle - as i said, i havent played it in randoms yet. But i tend to focus DDs/Cruisers anyway, and better accuracy makes for more citadels on Cruisers. If you manage to get rid of those, BBs will die either way - even if you cant citadel them really. Even 394mm AP penetration at 15km is questionable imo - NM has 25+343 = 368mm belt armor, so even a slight angle will cause the shells to shatter. (at 10km it looks bad for PEF tho) On the other hand i agree that the HE is a bit too weak...

    I havent played the PEF in randoms yet, but atleast in OPs its brutal. And quite frankly, i dont understand the problem what people are saying. - Dispersion elipse like german BBs, yes its bad. But it has 2,0 sigma compared to 1,5 like Fuso/NM. - Small caliber guns - same as Fuso and NM, they will only overmatch T5 BBs so nothing bad there? - Atleast compared to NM 6 sec better reload. But its also faster than the other T6 BBs. I guess people did expect a T6 GC 4 free? Why would anyone want to play T6 all the time anyway (probably one of the reasons why it should have been OP rather than average)? I think its very much like the Graf Spee: Solid, but T6 is meh by itself, and no real reason to play it i guess
  13. Im pretty sure i didnt get any credits either... i think i had 70 million this morning - Hatsu costs 2,5?million or so. So just in case someone else might get screwed and it catches the eye easier?

    Which ships are keepers by tiers?

    Maybe some more of a general guideline: - The more expensive a ship is, the more likely you should keep it (hightier ships) because f.e. right now we got the snowflake event where you get Coal/Steel for just playing with your ships. More ships = more Coal/Steel. - If i have a permacamo for a ship, i keep it - If you have free portslots and dont need credits you can even keep ships which were less fun to play at that time. Maybe they will get a buff later on or you get better and might enjoy them suddenly.

I think average player doesnt understand that most of the time they are not gaining credits when they play hightiers. Game literally tells them -> xxx.xxx credits. On the other hand, they would probably start whining why they are suddenly losing credits

    Ofc we can argue if teamplay is really happening at all in wows right now, but WG doesnt help one bit by removing teamplay mechanics all the time. I personaly can relate to 3x divisions basicly winning almost every game, because they work together. And the only way to stop that, is with teamplay on the enemy part. But that doesnt happen really, so Divisions get stronger all the time. One major issue is ofc BB with long range guns which arent getting punished back there... thats one huge issue which "blocks" teamplay. If you make the game more reliant on teamplay, those BBs will just sit in the back

    Ofc you need your team for that But with that i actually blame WG for making ships more self-reliant... More or less atleast. Remove teamplay = make the game worse.

    I dont think thats true. If you are an RTS player, CVs will be the easiest class to play properly in WoWs. If you are bad in RTS, then ofc it will (might) be the hardest class to master. So it depends where you are coming from. And even with the rest... im not really sure if id agree. Playing BB properly is actually not that easy imo. Everyone can play BB because they have armor, lots of HP and big guns. Doesnt mean that you will have any meaningful impact on the game by playing badly. DDs are harder to play to begin with, especially in hightiers, but once you get it, its pretty clear imo.

    I mean i have seen quite some fail divisions not getting punished as of late, but i thought ive seen the opposite aswell (which should be rather unlikely with 3 min rule) Guess we have to try that one aswell Im not a fan of that really - first time we tried that with a CV, got paired against a T7 CV in my T4 CV

    Definetely only 3 ships spawn in the first wave: Mutsuki (think its mutsuki) - Furutaka and Myogi. Both the DD and the Furu WILL throw torps. We have blasted that Furutaka when it peaks out - it will still throw torps. Next wave either spawns north or south. Consists of Kuma, Aoba and Myoko.

    You do understand your first post can be interpreted atleast 2 different ways? The most obvious (which majority of people seem to see): You play OPs = you are special Even if you didnt mean that, it certainly can be interpreted that way...
