Musashi has 15k more avg damage than Missouri, and only 6k less than Yamato... i wouldnt call that comparable. (the difference is equal from Arizona to Missouri...) http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/ranking/20190126/ru_week/average_ship.html I dunno who came up with Musashi having inaccurate guns, but i dont consider this to be true. Yeah, Missouri has probably more accurate guns, but they cant hurt angled BBs, while Musashi can do it (btw my hitrate is better with Musashi than with Missouri ) And there are many Cruisers, which are way more vulnerable to Musashi than to Missouri, basicly everyone which has 30mm plating anywhere, including Kronshtadts 30mm Citadel deck, which Musashi can overmatch. To the bolded part: I simply disagree. There was a reason why Yamato is a T10 ship and being pretty much unique in that position. Then they made Musashi with less AA, bit worse sigma (guess you could say worse secondaries, but those ships arent for brawling anyway). But in the end, its still a T10 ship (guns / HP) on T9. You can see that at the survivability, Mo has <33%, Musashi has >40% Regarding the recent WR atleast from Musashi, ive had games with up to 4 Musashis (2 per side) so i dont think its a surprise that the overall WR is close to 50, there is just too many of em around recently. Also i believe more bad players actually have the Musashi than the Missouri. Back then, FreeXP wasnt as easy to acquire, and even tho they announced the removal of both in time, its still way easier to get the FreeXP needed for Musashi. Also you could use Coal, which most people could have acquired by simply playing enough. Oh and btw, i have 40% more average damage in Musashi compared to my Missouri... took me 14 games to get a higher max damage in it aswell. Ive played a ton of Missouri games, and i didnt know if Musashi was worth it. After i got it, its actually a lot of fun, and that thing does some crazy s*it with its guns. Playing only divisions, i dont really play Missouri anymore...
-
If id have to rate which one is more OP, id go with Musashi. Its just a Yamato at T9, so it will take the place of 1 other T9 BB. Missouris guns will only get you so far. And using its radar needs good play (or stupid DDs). Missouri has ofc very good AA, but its not enough to stop a T10 CV from dropping you. For solo play i rate Missouri higher (its good vs DDs and CVs) but in a Division Musashi beats Missouri easily.

That doesnt matter for a poll to be representetitve. How often have you been asked who you will vote in the next election? Probably never. And still, you get informations all the time which faction will roughly get how many % of the votes, and they deviate only very little from the actual vote. You dont need to ask everyone to get a picture what the majority of people want. And in this case: The core players have more knowledge about the game, so you can assume, they know whats best for the game.

https://old.reddit.com/r/WorldOfWarships/comments/al0xi4/wg_fixing_losfiring_debuff_detection_can_you/ Sounds like we are getting the change? If this goes through, im done with this game... here are 500 votes in a couple of hours AGAINST this change, and it seems that they dont give a crap. Literally makes this forum useless, and we are simply wasting our time.

- It is intuitive and it makes sense. If you are spotted going behind an island, why are you spotted leaving the Island at another point because you have shot previously? - It allows for more active gameplay. You can get 1 or 2 salvos of before going into cover. Thats mostly helpful for DDs and Cruiser, BBs are too slow anyway, and they get undetected between volleys either way. The reason why DDs and especially Cruisers have to play so passive, is because they fear of being blapped by BBs. In that regard, your patchnotes say that the Concealment Expert change will be better for Cruisers... reality will be different tho. BBs will still pick CE, because they lack options. Also BBs dont spot Cruisers, its DDs. With Cruisers getting WORSE concealment, DDs will spot them easier. And for a BB its mostly irrelevant if the target is 15km or 15,5km away. But for a Cruiser its not, especially when it gets surprise spotted. So taking that aswell into consideration, the current gun bloom helps Cruisers against BBs. With CE being changed AND gunbloom being changed, it will have more negative impact on Cruisers.
-
No, you are not missing something, thats how it was used to be until half a year ago. So if it will be like that, then its not THAT bad... but still But the patchnote literally says "shoot and gunbloom stays at max for 20 sec if you are spotted or not" And i will only believe what i see after the patch, aka ill test it.
-
I guess thats the problem for WG -> it makes sense. Ofc why should i be spotted when i shoot my guns, get behind an island, move out from the other side and the ship spotting me is like " yep, there he is, i still know he shot his guns 15 secs ago at the other side of that island" Anyway, if they revert it back to how it was before, its not as bad as it sounds, but its still worse than now. Also, they probably screw with it / will be bugged so we can enjoy being spotted for 20 secs either way for the next couple of patches until "CVs are balanced"
-
What the [edited]is wrong with WG. They dont [edited]care what their playerbase wants. They want to enforce their way on how to play the game upon the players... that doesnt work and will destroy the game. (basicly the same nonsense for the CE change... yeah BBs will totaly ignore CE because it gives only 10%. WG is [edited]stupid) Some ships will become basicly unplayable with that change. Or they are nerfed so hard thats extremely unfun to play them. Need severe shitstorm please... thats totaly unacceptable imo.

Might result in a good 30% depending on ships picked You should upload some replays and let some forumites have a look at it. There are enough people around he who are willing to help if someone asks for it. The advice most of the time makes the player aware of his mistakes, which makes him a better player (so you will win more often )

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
DFens_666 replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Today almost only meh games, atleast GK doesnt disappoint Funny moment of the day was my Seattle game with CV in it: AP bombers at 7-6-7-6-7-6 km, sometimes he almost even got to 5km.. clearly he only tried to bait my DefAA. After sometime i said in chat "dont even try" that triggered him and he went all in. Netted me 19 planekills, and maybe like 5k damage for him, as he AP bombed me, but got only minor damage and he got one TB through on our BB, but im not sure if he hit with that. -
Honest answer? You simply arent good enough for hightiers. if you want to have more of an impact to win, you need to get better. I dont know how much or if you track your own stats, but this is a good side to see how you are progressing: https://wows-numbers.com/de/player/547834133,Barney_Wobba/ I think you should continue playing at T5-T7 at try to have more of an impact there, it certainly is easier than on T8+. But either way, your damage output seems just too low. Apart from that: Dont expect anything from your team, especially at hightiers. Most people are simply bad at this game. They probably care only about shooting stuff. They wont sacrifice their own ship for a win, but they certainly are willing to die to deal more damage if they think they have already won, which most of the time ends up in a loss. Ive seen horrendous throws in this game, for who knows what reasons...

Ok, so here it goes I aimed at the Nagato, but it was too high. I immediately knew that, i just fucked up with the spotter plane and i wasnt sure how fast the Nagato was moving, to which i paid more attention. He was kinda slow, and i thought he would stay behind the island. Kronshtadt was too close to him, and took all the shells
-
Look the video i posted on the first page 2nd to last post on the page, maybe you missed it. Torpspread does have RNG. You would be surprised Ill record my replay from just a couple of days ago and i can show you. I can already say, i didnt aim correctly on the ship i wanted to hit and devstriked a Cruiser instead.
-
And at the same time, everyone has gotten those random citadels when the target was evading and that one shell just went right for it. Is it good? Maybe... maybe not. But overall it will even out, somtimes you are lucky, and sometimes not. Giving better dispersion to BBs, would make better players simply OP, while people who are bad at aiming would get punished, as they simply miss everything. Personaly i would like that wows would be less RNG, but that would be too much. Not really, since HE cant bounce. If you can penetrate, it will deal damage, while AP depends on angling and armor penetration. That was just an initial idea, sure it needs to be tweaked. And the current version of IFHE is just bad imo. Its a must have for certain ships, and there are only very few builds which count be considered fun/troll where IFHE isnt necessary but does give an advantage at the cost of something else (like Secondary builds). Also thats something that needs to be considered, if IFHE would be a consumable and not a captain skill. Im not sure if you know / understood me: Torpspread has RNG, as the torps arent launched symmetrical to each other. Some gaps are bigger, while some are smaller between the torps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti3K0TfdMmY Depends what Cruiser you are facing. Basicly all Bows/Afts can be overmatched by all T10 BBs, only exception is the lower Bow from Moskva/Stalingrad, which cant be overmatched by any BB. At the same time, some Cruisers (Hindenburg, Henri, Zao?) have 30mm upper belt armor, which can bounce GK/Montana shells, but not Yamato/Republique. Conqueror depends on the guns used, but we can assume that the smaller version is mostly using HE anyway, so it doesnt matter. Oh ye i forgot, Bourgogne can only overmatch Zao/Worcester/Minotaur bow (afaik), because it has only 380mm caliber, and the Cruisers have 25/16mm bow armor. Gets more complicated the more Ships gets introduced... cant remember them all either. I probably might if i would have them all in port Ive heard, that the Dispersion elipse is better than IJN BBs, which have the best dispersion so far. So having 1,7 sigma is the downside for having better dispersion to begin with.
-
I dont see any Cruiser-mains here - i see WoWs players, who dont like your BB catering example. Making offensive consumable is imo rather tricky. I dont really like the MBRB for french ships, as i think its too punishing, and a threat which is ALWAYS there, simply because you cant ever show broadside. While writing that, i thought about making IFHE a consumable. That would actually make much more sense imo, than have it as a captain skill which is just a straight upgrade (not a tradeoff). Make IFHE a consumable, for lets say 1 minute active, and make firechance 0% for that duration. Again, how about no? 17,6km devstrike Right after that i devstriked a DM, which was a bit closer, but nonetheless a devstrike. *edit And BBs can get away with that because?... they can sail full broadside for several minutes (not every BB, granted), and not die. And yes, some torps can randomly miss because torpspreads have RNG pattern, and they can form convenient gaps. If you turn in time, you can receive much less damage simply because of RNG aswell. Also you simply ignore overmatch from BBs against cruisers. With a tighter dispersion by pressing a button, a Cruiser which is angled can basicly be devstriked through the bow (atleas it might be possible)

Why Belfast is needed in game
DFens_666 replied to The_Shungite_Wizard's topic in General Discussion
We could ask, where those ships are actually much different than a Belfast Belfast has smoke, to get or be undetected while fighting the DD. Also has Hydro to not take torps. Radar equal to its concealment (kinda) because it has the T8 concealment module. Indianapolis has... radar with lower range than its concealment and low DPM, it can shoot twice in his own radar. Atlanta Radar isnt a real threat either, since you can outspot him. And if an atlanta is spotted, we know how that usually ends. -
Only because they have one, doesnt mean you can hit it at all or even easily for that matter. German BBs atleast eat massive AP pen damage even when angled... look at the other newer lines, who basicly dont have a citadel either, or the lowered citadel on Montana - why? Apart from Republique, even french BBs seem to be hard to citadel (atleast i cant get them constantly compared to, lets say, IJN BBs). Point blank range i citadelled an Alsace just fine, but mid-long range? Usually something like 10k max.
-
Kronshtadt is already outperforming the other T9 Cruiser because of its health. Yes i agree that Krons dispersion is pretty meh (its kinda close to NC dispersion actually), but it has too much other stuff going for it, so getting a buff to its dispersion, even occasionally, would be too much. How about we start punishing bad plays of BBs instead of punishing any play from Cruisers? Give BBs back their citadel would be a start...
-
Ye... how about no? I guess it would be for BBs only, as other ships wont need it. BBs dont need to oneshot more stuff, they are already good enough at it. The balance for huge Alpha strike is bad dispersion, As Salentine said, then i want invulnerability aswell for my Cruisers just to balance it out.
-
That wont change too much tho. It only pushes good BB players further away as they work with their concealment. BBabies sniping from maxrange wont feel a thing, as they will be spotted when shooting, but otherwise not. It reamins a must have skill imo, as otherwise you have to play with 15-16km detection, which is horrible. Not to mention its bad for Cruisers, and they dont need a nerf...
-
No, that depends who dies to what. Do you think, very good DD players die because they make stupid mistakes? Definetely not, otherwise they wouldnt be good players. They can get spotted by enemy DDs or get surprise radared, if the radar ship manages to outplay him. The first instance in a DD vs DD fight, the good DD will most likely win, aka outplay him. Outplaying radar is harder, and it limits the options of unicum DD players. Its like going against french ships with MBRB - its the threat itself which makes you play differently. You cant just turn broadside if MBRB is available - he will blast you with AP. Same applies to radar. And to what DDs actually die which isnt their own idiocy? Apart from CV and Radar, the options are rather limited. Sure, everyone can eat an unlucky torp, but even that you can survive by taking the torp on bow/aft section... and if it happens frequently = ones own fault aka stupidity. Ive had numerous games lately where either the enemy DD or my division mate DD was radared several times ( @ForlornSailor ) in one game, and they still didnt die. Even the worst counter (according to some people) is not enough to bring good/the best DD players to their knees. If the playerbase doest learn, they should get punished so long that it MAYBE sinks in at some point.

You should see me zooming in and out between Minotaur shots... (3,6 sec reload), sometmes i get nauseous myself I kinda have to force myself to NOT do it when playing fast firing ships, at some point, it is so automated that you will do it after every shot that you cant really control it.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
DFens_666 replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Yesterdays recap, as i forgot to post yesterday and might not play today. Quite a weird game with the Z... Went for B, but i actually faced 3 enemy DDs there. I popped hydro that the enemy DDs atleast might receive some damage despite sitting behind the islands. The enemy Z-23 ran away because i could outspot him, but the T-61 hugged the island and popped his hydro too. Enemies really hit me the island At somepoint the T-61 lost his nerves, came out and i killed it. Then tried to torp some BBs, got unlucky with the Gneisenau (convenient gaps only 2 hits ) and the Richelieu was straightlining for couple of mins until i threw torps... for whatever reason i dont know. Nope, i didnt trigger his PT, if you wonder. (still 4th place with a good 1600 XP despite low damage) Another nice game with the GK. I really want to get to Montana and/or Yamato to see how they perform. Musashi is already quite nice and i can dish out even more damage than with GK, but Yamato will have better Sigma Also i will change my build from semi-secondary to tank build with the respecc. I really feel the Secondaries are kinda useless. In that particular game i got close enough to the Salem/Conqueror, so they dealt some damage... but it wasnt necessary as we were rolling over them either way. But with a tankbuild i can get closer anyway to let my guns do the job. -
Funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots.

Didnt you know? The most experienced players are playing competetive T1, thats where the real skill is to be found. Seals managed to die their way up to T10, so everything is seal clubbing these days except T1 -
You assume bad DD players only die to radar - which is totaly wrong. They can literally die to a BB by getting detected by it or even worse, start to gunboat (with a ship that is not suited for doing that) Please use your own advice: Play hightier Cruisers and see how it goes. What a BB can and will do to one being open water Thats ofc devstrikes only, there were other 20-30k salvoes aswell within the last 10 days... (and i only played like 25 games with BBs in that timeframe) Or how about this one from yesterday? 3 Salvos on that Salem, he was angled behind an island aswelll. and lets say, Montana and Yamato can do even better crap than a GK can You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, simply because you dont play Cruisers that much
