--> Do you have any self-reflection? You dont even accept facts as arguements. You are making stuff up. Its pretty obvious what your problems are: - Players which are good at the game (potentially just better than yourself) - (Good) players who are playing Premium ships, despite playing them yourself frequently - bad players are allowed to play Premiums i guess? - Good players divisioning together, even worse when they pick premium ships - +/-2 MM which somehow seems to favor "Premium-Unicum divisions" - Everyone who is playing T9/10

Eh... No? BBs are mostly affected the least. Sure, there are some tiers which are effected more than others, but it certainly isnt T8 vs T10. The BBs have literally the same armor. If a Montana is fighting a NC bow on, the result is the same for both -> Bounces. (for lower tier BBs, see below). DDs are worst at T7 when being uptiered, because of the lacking Concealment module. (almost all) T5 DDs get overmatched everywhere by some hightier Cruiser AP. (203mm) Cruisers in general tend to uptier poorly at almost any tier. Some T5 Cruisers get overmatched by 152mm AP shells, but everyone by 203mm. T7 Cruisers dont have heal, and they get overmatched by ships like Kronshtadt and soon to come Alaska/Azuma. T8 Cruisers also lack heal compared to their hightier brethren. Imo it looks mostly like this: - CV uptier the worst - Cruisers - DDs - BBs If we are looking at the amount of affected ships within the class. There are some BBs which struggle when being uptiered, but mostly they are fine, while Cruisers are effected more in general. Because they dont? Its a myth, see above/below. This is rather something i would agree with. It isnt so bad being lowtier -2, but its worse if almost everyone is 2 tiers higher. People shouldnt argue against +/-2 MM, because that doesnt change. But having a more even spread is something which might get changed. The problem is, we need enough players on those midtiers to get that affect - which currently doesnt work. If few players are playing T5/8, then the ones that are playing those tiers will suffer more. T5 BBs can more reliably bounce Nagato shells than most T6 and T7 BBs (lack of game knowledge maybe? ) Here are some pics: T5 BBs: Kongo can bounce all shells in the center part. I disabled the Bow/aft, but there you can get overmatched ofc. Okto is just one big tank - no overmatch there really König can also bounce all shells except at the blue parts Iron Duke can get overmatched at the green deck between the front turrets, but not at the deck where i had my mouse Bretagne cant get overmatched in the center anywhere (NY is the exception which actually do suck) Look at T6+T7: NM Gets overmatched EVERYWHERE except lower belt (where the Torpedo bulges are) Same for KGV - overmatch everywhere except the lower Belt. Most BBs look similiar at those tiers, except the germans and Fuso. No its not? If you present yourself, ofc you will get shot at. But lowertier BBs are atleast smaller so they catch less shells. You assume that we play our divisions all the time together in one spot and ofc everyone is alive all the time - sadly, doesnt work that way. Sometimes, we split up because we have to, and sometimes one can die waaay before the match is decided... And your division mates cant always help you, because they might be busy doing something else. But i guess your view is different precisely because you dont play that much divisions. Its just not always like what you are describing.

In Aegis they are better than before. While in others, i assume they are a bit worse Killer Whale f.e. i liked with old CVs, but i think they are less strong there than before. Yep, i dont think there is anything which would prevent that. The AA from certain ships in T7 OPs was tweaked anyway (im pretty sure about it). So if T8 CVs would be too strong, then adjust the AA a bit.

There was a major rework just a couple of weeks ago, what was that? Cant recall, maybe that has something to do with how people behave in random battles, and not the stuff you wrote there. Also toxicity has been up in basicly EVERY game i played (and i didnt play that much after the rework). It starts from minute 1, and never seen anything like it. WG screwed up by turning the Servers/players into Beta testers / guinea pigs. The effect can be seen by playing random battles

So you are agreeing, that there is a problem with BBs, since we (used to atleast) have BBabies whining about fires/torps/... ALL THE TIME, which you seem to be backing up, the same way the OP did. If enough people whine about something -> there is a problem with it. Why does it only apply to MM? BB players get told to "git gud" all the time aswell, why doesnt the same apply here? Only because it fits your agenda or what? And seeing how the OP says something like this: while referring to T8 vs T10 its simply not really true. A T8 BB can bounce T10 BB shells f.e., there is no difference in armor, which is a very important aspect. Ive attempted a lot of times 1v1s in lowtier ships, and be able to win, because my opponent just sucked [edited]. +2 is meaningless if you can outplay your opponent. Sure, outplaying a T8 BB in a T6 BB is much harder, and its something you probably shouldnt do. If you have to do it, because your team was bad, why do you think you should win (or atleast turn the game around)? And how are you able to judge this, seeing you have like 2% of your games in division? Why is there a difference if my T8 ship meets a T10 ship, if i have a division mate with me or not? The ship itself doesnt change one bit, its the same ship, if you play alone or not. The only difference it gives, is teamplay, but if you need to make a play, then you are still bottom tier.

Hows that reroll working out for you?

Fara vs WG Lead Designer on CV rework
DFens_666 replied to RUSSIANBlAS's topic in General Discussion
To lower the impact of personal skill as much as possible. Do good player need to spend money on the game? Apart from Premium ships, they pretty much dont need to. They can advance fast enough by playing the game, they get enough Camos and Signals, they dont lose credits when they play T10 (or not as much atleast). This is all what lowers the income from WG. Good players dont need premium time, perma camos or doubloons to convert FreeXP/Credits. If we club the people too hard, who need to spend money to play the game (at T10) they might leave and not spend money anymore. (or they would need to spend too much money, dont laugh, ive seen one super bad streamer like 1,5 years ago who constantly needed to convert Credits to pay his maintenance or pay for Upgrades (Hulls and such), one day he just stopped playing wows ) -
Then its just the right amount to play wows

Fara vs WG Lead Designer on CV rework
DFens_666 replied to RUSSIANBlAS's topic in General Discussion
Ive come to the same conclusion. Good players are like cancer for WG. We are clubbing their precious whale-seals (money, but bad player), which might end up in them not spending money on the game because we are clubbing them -
Thats mostly not an issue really. T8 vs T10 basicly have the same armor. For T6/7 its a bit harder to go vs T8.

Pre-rework CVs were my least favorite (together with DDs) pick in Aegis. The first group was almost untouchable, and dropping it usually made it worse because they all turned in so you made them angle against your team. 2nd and 3rd group were mostly dependant on the ships, and against the CVs a DD/Cruiser mostly could deal with it. But after rework? They actually work in Aegis. Ive played a couple of matches, and my best were 140k with both Ranger and Ryujo. And more is possible, i still fucked up some drops, mostly AP bombs. CV is especially good vs the Fuso, if you manage to get a Permaflood right away.

Operations - Newport baswe defence - an nightmare !
DFens_666 replied to SEN_SEN_Channel_Portugue's topic in General Discussion
You could try to trigger his DCP first, then get a permaflood. About Torps dealing low damage: Try Hindenburg vs Yamato 8 Torps wont kill a Yamato if he isnt halfdead already... and then there is still the problem of hitting all 8 Torps in the first place. And there we are talking about T10 vs T10. If you are Leander and are that close to an Izumo, shoot his Bow/aft section (or Upper belt) You can easily deal 6k Salvos. -
You do know WG wanted CVs to have less of an impact in the game? Ofc they need to be worse than before (if they are is debatable) Old Hosho, even with autodrop only, was totaly OP. I had an average damage comparable to my T7 ships. If new Average damage is somewhere in the middle of other T4 ships, i think its fine. So saying CVs are UP because you compared them to their predecessors is wrong, and you are telling WG they achieved their goal (which i still doubt when i see El2aZeR's stats, which havent really dropped by much, infact he does better in the new Midway but worse in Enterprise)

Usually WG is throwing around with proposals being too complicated and most people would not understand this, but here it fits perfectly: That is way too complicated to understand for casual players. Even for experienced players this would be extremely hard to understand correctly. Lower CD is actually pretty bad, as you cant cap safely anymore, seeing how you need 1minute to do so, more if you have to get back into the cap first. The current Radar CD is just enough that you can get the cap between 2 Radars. They should die faster so they have an incentive to learn BBs sitting in spawn, maxrange sniping are living way too long. That is abusable: Since Cruisers most of the time have one slot for Hydro or DefAA. You are proposing that a Radar ship could have Hydro AND DefAA, while giving up Radar instead. For a good Division, one Radar ship is usually sufficient.
-
Thats obviously false, since its a fact that many people never played CVs (atleast pre-rework, WG said so, also backed up by stats). However, they most likely played all other classes. A negligible amount of people is playing BBs ONLY - atleast i assume that. A game with BBs only could not survive for long, as it would be repetetive and boring, atleast if you copy it 1:1 from existing WoWs. (but obviously im just a CV hater^^)

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
DFens_666 replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Occasionally still playing WoWs, was one good game and one ok game in GK. First game was like, if team doesnt spot or tank, do it yourself (100k spotting) Yielded me 2 Compliments aswell -
Dont want to quote that all, as i respond to the entire post: Well, if you are right, then we are back to my initial statement: AA Sector reinforcement does nothing As both sides dealt the same damage, whether it was 75% or 125%... Id need to test it myself, but i really struggle to play wows right now

miliards of XP and even more of them?
DFens_666 replied to remenberMYname's topic in General Discussion
Ofc there is a solution for everyone: Let the player decide if he rather gets 50% XP or FreeXP or Commander XP Good players will take XP, others take whatever they desire (even if makes less sense). Point is, everyone would be happy -
But isnt that the conclusion from your sentence? No, you didnt say that, but ultimately that is what it means really... Why would a game without CVs be less attractive for players? 3 years we had a CV population of 5% or so... 95% of the players werent interested in CVs so i dont think a game doesnt need to cover every aspect. You could stretch your sentence towards subs aswell.
-
So if there would be a game out there, EXACTLY like wows, but without CVs, noone would play it? Interesting

I think the maximum amount of planes a CV has now is atleast the same amount which he had previoulsy WITH fighters aswell. Leaving Kaga out of it, which probably has many more than before. I think Midway can dispose like 110+ planes now, which is close to what it was before. @El2aZeR didnt you do the math for this? So if they are still the same basicly, then surface ships have to compensate for what CVs killed before. Ye well, impossible ofc not, it was highly unlikely. And losing a plane instantly because of RNG was imo worse than never shooting one down. Planes having HP and losing them according to damage dealt would have been a great addition to RTS CVs aswell, the RNG stuff was horrible on both ends. But you did realize that the damage counter did not increase between those 3 seconds? How do you explain that? DPS means Damage per second. Its not applied every second, then its not DPS. Maybe Nicholas is bugged? However, i dont know, maybe you should test it with someone Darth_Glorious is VERY accurate with what he is saying. He has been feeding us new informations way before they become announced by WG and he was always spot on. So i believe him with what he is saying, and it makes sense. As you see, my damage numbers with Dallas didnt make any sense with DPS.
-
Ohw you gonna get flamed for saying that WG unleashed great things with their rework, i believe, many people try to recreate the GZ incident -> just suck enough, feed planes to lowest AA ships possible and git buffz.
-
Can you upload the replay? Id like to see that.

You are saying 2 different things now, which sound similiar, but are inheritly different: - CVs lost more fighters in dogfights than now. This is ofc true and a fact, simply because we dont have Fighters anymore. You can drop them, whether they attack anything is a bit of luck but mostly dependant if the enemy CV is flying into the zone - CVs killed more fighters than strike planes (what you initially stated). There is simply no way to prove that. You can say, it feels like it, sure, everyone can say how they experienced it, doesnt means its necessarily true. Also you have to remember that usually* CVs had 2/3 strikeplanes in their hangar, so i wouldnt necessarily agree with, fighters killed more fighters than strike planes. *unless playing AS loadout. Kinda sounded you said DDs like in general. So DDs could shoot down planes before aswell. Based on change in AA mechanics, they can shoot down more planes now. You could go to a training room, but you missed the point. The way AA worked before, it was simply impossible to shoot down planes if your AA values were too low. Like Atago/Takao barely couldnt shoot down a T10 plane. If you would test it now, a Yubari could easily shoot down T10 planes, especially if the CV player is dumb. I agree that strking the first group of Crusers in the OP was "stupid" before. But Yubari had good AA to begin with - just not compared to T10 ships. And i try to make a point here: What wasnt possible before, is possible now, you have to accept that. And its not due to DPS only, you should review your thinking on that. How do you determine that its only due to DPS? If you play the DD yourself, its actually rather easy -> look at the damage to planes in the top right corner. This is only damage by flak bursts, continuous DPS is not included.
-
Ofc this is only for CVs right? Everyone else can just s*ck a d*ck get screwed by RNG or whatever. I wonder how a Bismarck can get rid of a Shinonome fast... or a Hipper vs a WV right? Total nonsense arguement... You making up something is not facts. I guess you can prove your claim? Literally the person you are talking to has 15 planekills in Benson pre-rework. And FYI, he doesnt even have that many games in Benson If you would understand how AA works now, you wouldnt even ask that question. You could fly with Hakuryu planes into Yubari Flak bursts and die rather sooner than later... i would like to see you lose a plane against it pre-rework. Was almost impossible unless RNG unloaded a lottery win. If there is no CV fighter protection anymore (the current one is a joke btw), then ofc ships need to have better AA. How is that even a question?
