  1. Good catch What do you think happened ? Minotaur has 5,92km - not 5,7km Funnily enough, he got Moskva right... But Henri was wrong also. So not sure what he did there. Maybe some he wrote down ingame, while others calculated ? Chapa seems wrong also just by looking at it...

Also ive played way more T8 and T9 than T10, so guess im just weird (actually not really, it was depending on the situation^^) Ofc if you have, lets say Hindenburg, why would you play Roon? Even if you are playing in a Division with someone who is grinding T9, i might rather pick a premium ship (Missouri/Musashi/JB/Kronshtadt). Or if im going more for a Cruiser approach, i probably would play Settle or Neptune instead of Roon. But on T8 are certainly some nice ships around, which are imo worth keeping. Ive kept/will keep most of my T8 ships. So far i think the only one which i dont own is Hipper (sold it twice ), all others which i played ive kept (same for T9, only exception there is FDG). You never know when you might need them if you play divisions

    So anything which gets torped by a DD? A Cruiser getting shot at from a BB which isnt spotted? Or a Cruiser which suddenly pops Radar against a DD? Oh and btw, you DO know that there is something ahead -> game tells you "planes are spotted" so... Im not necessarily agreeing with the change in air detectability as a flat 20%, but your arguements are simply wrong

    What a weird game... not from you, but from the enemies Myoko yolos... Podvoisky Yolos... Fiji yolos.... Kongo yolos... Its like imitating the guy infront of them Ok, didnt tell much this game, but something i would have done different myself: - You had tremendous spotting advantage over the Podvoisky (almost 2km). It was an unnecssary risk to get yourself detected by him. This time nothing happened because the enemies potatoed hard, but in general you want to avoid that as a torpedoboat. Since you were spotted anyway, might have used the guns to shoot him instead of throwing torps. Kamikaze has very fast torp reload, so it doesnt matter if you throw a set for no reason, but other DDs have much longer reload, so in that instance ask yourself: Should i waste my torpedo salvo on a DD which is overextended in range of 6~ ships from my team? Here you should have went for the Gneisenau. You torping the Hood from behind was pretty useless, you would have spotted him for your team. Look for targets which are not running away from you, you wont hit them. Example here: Your torps would never connect. You are at 7km, but since he is moving away from you, the torps will run out before they catch him (which they did^^) You would have easily gotten the Gneisenau, and i personaly would have switched the flank then, since there were more targets to farm damage on^^ the Hood wasnt really able to deal with 4 of your teammates. Here you just got too close to the Gneisenau. Wouldnt have happened if you would have killed him right away. He outed himself as a bad player if you followed his position on the minimap. He sat back in his spawn the entire time. He will straightline, those are the easiest targets to kill. He didnt ever bother to change course after you got spotted Like, if you think your opponent is a good player, dont throw all torps at the same spot, try to guess what his move might be, and throw your torps accordingly. This is kinda hard to master tho, because you have to think, what would be the most logical move for him. But against bad players, you are almost good to go to throw the torps where the marker is telling you to. And still id rather have you use Survivablity expert than Super Intendent Edit: Next time ill just say: What @Tyrendian89 said
  6. Yes i agree with the change not being a nerf. Yeah, potatoes probably die faster because they will sail broadside and get citadelled. But for people who can protect their citadel? How will you kill a conqueror if he literally will heal >75% of the damage he receives? (assuming he will receive fire damage aswell). I mean, how many Cruisers could a conqueror tank? Hard to say at this point... Horrible move imo... Id rather giving conqueror 10k more HP in return then to buff its heal to even crazier levels.

    However in this example, the example given does not relate to the problem at hand If we buy a car, we own it. We are free to do with it what we want (sell it, give it to a friend, ...) However, we dont buy premium ships. We do not own anything in the game. WG is just selling us the right to play with them. So basicly the word analogy doesnt even fit here.

    You dont own a premium ship the same way you own a car tho... IF you buy a car, you are free to sell that car to someone else if you please. While you cant sell a premium ship to anyone, you simply dont own it. Everything in the game belongs to WG, even the stuff we buy.

    If you are farming credits, then play something else imo. Even if i would spend 75k id still gain credits. Which i dont care about Also, what has getting 2 reports have to do with you losing credits.

    No problem really? Yes, a bit less damage than RTS CVs, but still good imo. And didnt even lose one [edited]plane, except the fighters which i popped to keep ships spotted

    You already said it yourself: His mistake -> he should get punished for it. Team composition is available upon loading screen. if you ignore Neptune and Minotaur there, then its your fault. Even more so if you cant read your minimap and cant count what ships are spotted and what a random smoke could potentially mean.

    Ok, i had a look at it, here it goes Some general feedback: - Try to use as many Premium consumables as you can afford. Atleast DCP, then Speedboost and smoke. - You are running Super-Intendent on that captain, but not Survivability Expert. Change those. You had no value out of your SI because you never used smoke or Speedboost. But you would have survived with SE. Now in that specific game: - You are using AP vs angled DDs and Cruisers, you have to use HE. AP will just bounce dealing 0 damage. - You had luck that the Dallas was very stupid, but you could have shot him with AP and probably citadelled him (Dallas Citadel IS hard to hit tho). But you just kept looking at your torpedo launchers. Try to not waste time if you are spotted anyway. - Im not sure how good you can follow the minimap / flow of the battle on the other flank. Your 2 DDs just suicided, and it was pretty obvious that the other flank would lose. Took you way too long to advance on your flank, quite frankly, you had 2 (3) Cruisers backup, and i think they would have followed you. Imo they were waiting for you to lead the push. When the T-22 smoked up, you should have rushed him. T6+ German DDs you DONT want to rush down however, because they have Hydro, but the T-22 doesnt have it. You stayed at 11km and let him run away. On the minimap, the enemy Pensacola was retreating, so the T-22 was basicly alone. And you had island cover even if the Pensacola wouldnt have bailed. Also the blind smoke shooting wasnt one of the best ideas - gave your position away I took the screenshot a bit too late, but you should have rushed down that flank when the T-22 smoked up initially. You are way faster than he is. Here i wasnt sure if you were aware that the enemy DD is spotted 6,5km next to you. I dont think so, because you were focused on your torpedoes again^^ You get plane spotted / surface spotted before you manage to rush the Pensacola. Normaly thats not something you would want to do anyway, and you die because of it. The torps on the nose werent good. If you want to do something like that, then make sure you dont throw them too early. The plane indicated that the Pensacola was infact just sitting behind the island. Speedboost on and rush straight around the corner and put the torps into his side. Would have killed him, and you would have lived. You gave him too much time to shoot you several times despite his reload being pretty slow. But beware of Cruisers which do have torps - pensacola isnt one of them tho... otherwise you end up trading for one another, and that is not something you want to do, especially if you are the last DD on your team. You need to wiggle more often aswell if you are engaged, or atleast angle away to minimize the damage. the Pensacola gave you full broadside hit and took like 5-6k Health from you. At that range, it doesnt matter that much, but your movement is too predictable overall. Hope that helps

    The problem here is, that it didnt matter really. Like every 10th game you had a CV in there, and then you had still many times CV players who were too stupid to spot the DD, because "MUH DAMAGE!!!!" while beind too stupid to kill that DD.

    Atleast someone who sees it the same way I do... feels like there is only a handful of people which understand the "problem". (also seeing how you got more downvotes than upvotes on that post proves my point ) Im not sure about WoT, because i never played that, but if you look at CVs, they have a powerful tool at their hand, which is spotting. Basicly that alone makes a class having high influence on the outcome of a game (see DDs, while having lowest average damage basicly). Currently we have a class that can spot better and deal damage more reliably than DDs, thats why they had such a high influence on the game pre-rework. And WG wanted to change that. Now they basicly made the spotting even WORSE than before... while atleast lowering the alpha strike potential. But then we have still a ship in the game, which doesnt seize to exist even if you kill the planes which are attacking you - there will come more after that. As i said in another thread, maybe they need to nerf the damage output and AA really hard, so then CVs are maybe atleast fun to play. Then just remove spotting Fun for CV players = maybe, but for others they might be only mildly annoying then

    Maybe they realized you cant piss off majority of non-CV players in the process? And having mostly CV players simply wouldnt work... Sad truth is, Players will only keep on playing CVs if they have some kinda advantage, that basicly includes striking where you want and when you want, otherwise its boring and repetetive gameplay... ive said so multiple times by now, and i stand by it. The concept and what WG wanted to achieve doesnt fit together. They can have a low influence class which nobody wants to play, or something which is straight up bad for the game and pure fun, then they would have their desired playerbase. But imo it doesnt work together. Sure you could nerf both damage and AA so hard that basicly nothing could stop you, but at the same time your damage output would be very low aswell, so im not sure if that would be considered fun?

    Well, question is, how deadly are the other Cruisers? Worcester and Mino seem to be a class on their own from the numbers ive seen.

    I kinda think atleast for Minotaur, its intentional? Or maybe they just think, CLs should be untouchable by being detected Atleast with Worcester they went too far tho, but with Mino it feels kinda obvious: Radar range longer than detection, and AA range longer than air detection... maybe intentional?

    Mighty DM/Salem... invulnerable to BB AP? Basicly last month... the more noticeable once, and i didnt play a lot of games. I really like shooting them, they are so squishy well, maybe he should? Ever considered that? You have a team for that. You can spot a DD for them. If your team is incompetent, well then you should suffer the consequence, as harsh as that may sound. Other classes are suffering the same way

    Then why dont BBs have like 400k average damage or whatever? Infact, last week Midway has basicly same average damage as the other T10 BBs, with Conqueror and Bourgogne being the exceptions... one is more or less useless fire damage, the other is played by good players (only), and probably too strong (hard to say tho).

    I dont think its a bug, more like working as intended imo. Flak is aiming infront of your path, even when its outside the range of the AA. But only when you are inside of the AA range, otherwise it wont shoot ofc. And how about, dont rush mindlessly ahead if there is a Mino in the enemy team? Other ships have to check what enemies are on the enemy team aswell, why shouldnt CVs? Either spot more carefully, or wait a little bit longer. But whom I to tell you anything - according to you im not playing CVs, so probably just forget what i told you

    The Overpen mechanic. RNG or Skill?

    Well for once, ive been citadelled despite the shell clearly hitting the water next to me, so that is one indication. I think the other option is to go into a training room and go close to a inactive bot and shoot below the waterline, maybe with a high velocity gun ship like Kronshtadt, which will overpen citadels at close range. I for one think it definetely works, but in actual gameplay i think its hard to observe if its not happening against you. ANd even harder to execute deliberately...
  23. Couple of T10 Games today, first one was really tight in the end. Our Division had 500k Damage combined and we almost lost. Once again, almost 100k spotting in my GK 2nd game was club the DD, and make all other ships run to the border Added bonus a Steel SC

    You quoted Forlornsailor, who was correcting someone about CURRENT AA mechanics. Ive told you 3 times now. Can you please understand that SOMEONE ELSE said, that Neptune and Mino have Stealth AA at this moment.... I even agreed several times with you now, that it will be different tomorrow. But there are people spreading lies about how AA works right now.
