    The time i made the other thread and lost, i almost had 300k damage. Thats why the mechanic is wrong. The better i play, the more likely it is for those morons to through the OP... If i kill the ships which might kill them, i basicly make them survive and block myself from winning the game. Its CRAZY

    That means, different classes have to consider different things while playing. A DD can mostly ignore BBs, as they basicly wont spot them by themselves. A Cruiser has to take BBs movement into consideration, because they can blap him, even long before they spot them themselves, which a DD can do for the BB. Bold part: So you want to increase the skillgap even further? Im not sure if thats the right way to go. And the increased skillgap will not target Cruisers (as much), its on the side of the DDs actually. Good DD players would benefit much more from that Radar mechanic than a bad DD player. Like, yesterday i had a Yugumo rushing my Worcester. Yugumo.... Worcester.... Needless to say, i didnt need Radar for him. And something which is very questionable anyway: Radaring a DD at 7,5km sounds like a better Hydro. Do you play Salem f.e.? Salem Radar is really... not good so to say.

    203 mm Mogami, an idea

    Maybe they arent even that unbalanced anymore, since IJN CAs got the dispersion buff, note 155mm Mogami guns still have normal CA/CL dispersion, while the 203s have the better one (aka DD dispersion). And ofc, the other 203mm Cruiser suffer the same disadvantage compared to the CLs, its just less obvious since they dont have the option like Mogami has. Like Hipper compared to a Chapa or Cleveland. Hipper does have better HE penetration, which doesnt always matter, and the HE DPM is lousy anyway. I think IFHE should have a bigger impact than only fire chance reduction. Just cut down on the Alpha damage, so that the difference is not so obvious infavor of 155mm guns compared to 203. 203s have better AP characteristics, but that doesnt help one bit if i have to fight angled targets.

    That depends imo. Ofc we shouldnt balance the game around potatoes. But the question is: How much we should deviate from something which is logical and everyone is understanding. Radar as it is seems already quite complicated for certain people, like they dont use it DESPITE it being clear that something is in Radar range. Or they use radar when its clear that no ship is in their radar range. By making it even more complicated, more people would not understand the mechanic anymore. If there are 2 ships, a DD and a Cruiser in a smoke screen, and with the proposed mechanic i could detect the Cruiser, but not the DD, then that is counterinuitive and confusing. Sometimes you radar something, which you didnt intentionally wanted to radar. Just yesterday i radared a Kitakaze, Hindenburg and a GK with my Radar Mino. One word: Battleship.

    You expect a random potato to understand why he sometimes could Radar a Kagero at 7,5km and sometimes at 8km? I mean, we would understand that, but we are not average playerbase... And if a DD is running COncealment build or not is mostly only relevant if you are in a DD yourself. If you play something with good stealth yourself, you must assume that the opponent DD uses also every means to get his detection lowered. If not, then you will realize that when you spot him earlier than you would. When in a Radar cruiser, it basicly doesnt matter if he has Concealment build or not, as i dont need to know his detection range. That doesnt mean, that a full concealment build would be useless. Same as CE is not useless on BBs, despite that it got changed recently.

Currently its way over the top, which doesnt make sense. On the other hand, a T10 ship which has not so good AA, would also have not so good AA when being attacked by a T8 CV. And ofc same goes for T6 ships when being attacked by a T8 CV. They would have an equal chance as if a T6 CV would attack them.

    But why is it imbalanced? You have the reserve, whats wrong with losing them? Clearly, thats not the case. You say, there are no players around which would only be interested in having an OP toy? Ofc CVs need to be fun to play aswell, but it cant be on the expense of the majority of the other classes players. Sadly, i dont think this is possible with the reworked CVs, simply because the gameplay is so repetetive and fastpaced, that only being able to strike all the time makes it fun to play. There are players who are doing well (even some players who are doing better than with old CVs), so i dont think AA is too strong in general. The only problem is if either the CV or other ships are -2... WG needs to do something about that. As i clearly stated, i wasnt untouchable With DefAA on CD, he could strike me even easier.

    I disagree. This mission has no real meaning, its only there to frustrate players (or make players actually hate other players who are just dumb). If you dont want to scrap this part of the mission, then make it so that one player can achieve this mission, regardless if all others are alive, so that you dont need 50% of the surviving players in the cap. But then you have to make it, that you can only enter the cap like in the last 3 mins. Otherwise people could deliberately "fail" the mission by going in there too early. If you need to enter it in the last 3 mins, i think its also a good incentive to stay alive. I cant count the times how often i had to outrun the CV in Raptor Rescue while being in a CV myself When your team is like "meh, rather lose a star then to get shot at"

    Then again, they really cant Potentially a BB can oneshot every Cruiser - yes. And some BBs which have a citadel can be oneshotted, but most of them dont have a Citadel really. Try oneshotting a Conqueror. Also oneshotting a DD is basicly impossible, since BB AP got changed. Might be technically possible with HE, but it actually wont ever happen because dispersion.

    Oh i see, you got one of those teams which like to throw a victory away by ignoring the exit zone... had several of those in this OPs. Ive asked WG to change it... they dont care. I think they have a blast everytime a team is losing KillerWhale by not going to the exit zone. Maybe a horn goes off in WG office or something like that Over 1 year ago - much has changed? Nope...

    If you have the reserve, then how is this a bad thing? RTS midway could also lose 100+ planes Yup, let CVs faceroll every other class in the game, oh the fun. Maybe 85% of the playerbase, which is not interested in CVs, can just leave the game. Then you can play 3vs3 CV matches. Or maybe you are lucky and half the playerbase is switching to CVs aswell, then you dont have to wait so long till a match starts So you can lose even more planes? You just said, losing 70 planes is ridiculous. Now you want even more planes to throw them away? If you get faster plane regeneration, you will be like a Kaga, and Kaga is not known for having strong planes (they evaporate even faster..) Well, I do think WG went the wrong way by reducing air detection by a flat 20% for every class... but its not like they want to listen Had a Midway striking my Worcester today - through DefAA. Got one strike through. Seems fine?
  15. I like Radar Mino In the end, i rushed the GK, and got the 60k on him, he got 2 salvos off with 13k + 10k secondaries Nice shot - how this was a Devastating strike eludes me tho... Blind shot into his smoke, he was a good sport tho and said nice shot ^^

    T10 in itself is reasonably balanced, and while some ships arent played that frequently, there usually is still a variety going on in CBs. Other tiers... might get more onesided. F.e. T9 ranked right now. Most people play BB/DD, mostly Musashi/Kitakaze/(Black/Chung Mu). That says a lot. While in CBs you could take 1 BB, which would result in more Cruisers, Kronshtadt would most likely be the go to ship because it has so much HP and Radar. Is a bit like Stalingrad, but with a better protected Citadel actually. Imo it gets only worse on other tiers, and there you even have ships which arent available any longer (Belfast/Kutuzov/Kamikaze/Nikolai if you wanna go that low). Maybe T6 would be an option, which is also a reasonably balanced tier in itself imo.

    I have to give examples to make you understand the problem, and why you would need to remember more than 2 values, because you are going with Concealment based on using CE, Concealment module and camo (Kagero with 5,4km Concealment build, which is standard, but some people are just stupid) Current situation: - My Radar can cover the entire cap. A DD enters the cap -> i can radar him. It doesnt matter which DD it is, or what skills/modules he is using. Your proposal - A Kagero with 5,4km Concealment enters a cap. Im 8km away from him, despite my Radar covering the entire cap, i would not detect him - A Khabarovsk enters the cap, im still 8km away from him, i do radar him because his concealment is worse from that of a Kagero. This is already counterintuitive, but it gets worse: - A Kagero WITHOUT concealment module (yes, it happens) enters the cap, and suddenly, im able to radar him, because his concealment is worse than that from a full concealment build Kagero. This doesnt make any sense at all. Basicly, we would see a dozen~ different values PER SHIP! 1. Kagero base detection (without CE/Module/Camo) = 7,05km concealment 2. Kagero with Camo only = 6,84 3. Kagero with CE only 4. Kagero with CE only on retrainining (only 5%) 5. Kagero with Module only 6. Kagero with Camo + CE 7. Kagero with Camo + CE on retraining 8. Kagero with Camo + Module 9. Kagero with Module + CE 10. Kagero with Module + Camo 11. Kagero with Module + CE on retraining 12. Kagero full stealth build = 5,4km 13. Kagero full stealth build on retraining and this would not be confusing? Since i wouldnt know what Kagero build im facing, there would be times when i can radar a Kagero, and sometimes not. I mean, if you would go with stock concealment (7,05km) then you could apply a % based debuff when being radared... which would result close to what US Radar has anyway. At the same time, nerf RU radar heavily, which is already inferior to US Radar against DDs.

    This makes only sense with old RTS CVs. There were atleast 5 CVs in line before the match started (if the 6th would have triggered the insta MM). He didnt need more CVs, MM was lacking other ships. He could have made a match with 2 or 4 CVs way before that. I dont think, within 5 minute that no other ships were available on tiers 5,6,7 or 8, since thats what the CVs could encounter. I suspect the T5 DD to be the actual problem here, while MM is trying to mirror the teams. If the T5 DD just sat there in queue for 5 mins, when no other T5 DD was around to be matched against him, then MM created the match instantly when the other DD joined the queue. That would explain: Only 8 ships per side, and 6 CVs total. I think its rather unlikely that only one T5 DD was in queue for such a long time, but its the only reasonable explanation i can think of.

    Why was your team not able to deal any damage to that DD? He had ~2k or 5,5k HP left depending if he was running SE or not. And noone could do it... Killing a DD entirely on your own is very unlikely, unless you are a DD/Cruiser with torps that can hit the DD unexpectedly. (Or the DD has to be really stupid) I think its questionable to try to enhance your secondaries for such rare cases. Maybe there are other better options to solve this, by changing playstyle

    I wonder how MM managed to do that kinda fuckup... how was it possible that someone sat in queue for 5 mins Basicly no T5 ships and no T7 ships at all, really weird.

    Yeah, ive seen Farazelleth showcase it in his Hosho commentary on YT i believe. Basicly it means, that the max speed with boost is what you can fly all the time... And thats certainly not intended imo. Maybe the boost should have more of an On/Off switch for a couple of seconds in case you are not holding W down all the time. Like, im flying with Boost maxspeed, and i decide to slow down a bit. I can only activate the boost again after ive dropped a certain amount of kts.

    Couldnt kill fast enough in the end, because my team just died Tirpitz was dead (1k HP) but points ticked to 1000. Tried to melt him as fast as possible, took me 1 minute or so, still too slow 3x BBaby div suicided ofc, achieving nothing. And our Iowa with 50k HP didnt manage to kill one DM with 25k~ and died to it aswell

    Ofc there is more spotting. Whether you lose the squad in the process is irrelevant. Being spotted in a wrong moment can lose a ship. Dead ship >>>> dead squadron. Its not about dealing damage yourself. It will be about spot a ship for your team and they have to act. See @Tyrendian89 for that (posted at the same time^^) I agree with the OP. I hope they dont allow CVs atleast for the next CB season. Might even be that they arent finished with balancing till then, and in that case i believe we wont see CVs.
