I think if its positive, we shouldnt need to block names, as its not naming and shaming (positive shaming? ) Like the one pic you removed from my post That wasnt negative, that was positive feedback. My team was helpful, something which you normaly dont see. Wouldnt it good to know which people are teamplayers?

    This depends, since you can leave a battle if you die. I personaly watch the games to the end most of the time (always can teach you something) but i know many people leave the game and enter next game with another ship. so imo its hard to say really. Also lately i have Wows running, but i dont necessarily play much more than a couple of coops, or if a clanmate wants to play division i might hop in. But sometimes not and i just have wows running in the back.

    Shouldnt it have been the main goal for WG tho? More CV players = more people who would buy premium CVs = more money. If they cant get more people to play CVs, then why remove RTS gameplay in the first place? Tweaks could have been made the same way that have been done now (like less RNG in AA dps)

    Better use this site, you even have weekly updates, which makes comparisions better because of all the hotfixes. http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/ranking/index.html F.e. Midway has more average damage last week than Monty and GK. A bit less than Yamato. Conqueror is ahead because of retard HE spam (which has less value, and you see it has less average kills because of that). Bourgogne is an outliner because its played by Super Unicums (and i think its OP actually)

    This. I remember playing Orion back when they released RN BBs (*cough sealclubbing* ). Shooting something like a Bogatyr (which you cant citadel with HE basicly), first salvo engine/rudder damage + fires. Ofc he has to use DCP. But 30 secs later, you do the same thing again. Most likely even killing some turrets in the process. Its being defensless in the water, cant run/steer while burning and losing a couple of guns aswell.... thats MUCH worse than just getting blapped (also because you dont get blapped everytime) while getting blasted with Thermonuclear HE every 30 secs, which is slowly withering you to do a certain death. Thats basicly what CVs do, only much worse, since my team cant just shoot down planes the way my Orion could get shot at by enemy surface ships. @ghostbuster_ its actually quite weird: Ive told CV players the same stuff (what WG wanted to achieve with the rework) then they suddenly get really pissy and start to insult you, while i only said what WG wanted to achieve... its kinda hilarious tho

    Thats not true. Maybe true for the Good/Unicum CV players. I could write a book on how often my own CV didnt spot an almost dead DD for me/my team to kill it. He went in, missed the strike, flew away. Tries to come back in 3 minutes to get the kill (thats actually the problem i think, they didnt want to spot, because they wanted the kill for themselves...). And it gets better, when that 1k HP DD torps one of your BBabies back to harbour

    Thats why, BBs have (much) more average damage than CVs... oh wait, CVs actually have roughly the same average damage. And then there is still the difference that BBs cant spot at will, having 1/3 of the spotting damage from CVs. So if we go by these numbers, i suppose CVs are better at ruining other classes day, since they are the same in one departement but even better in another crucial one?

    You can try hitting ESC, that will give you a slightly better chance in case you want to get out fast. But insta-battles cant be prevented with it i believe

    No, thats what the rework did to people They play even more retarded than before. I feel you have basicly 2 kinda teammates these days: Blob up and sit at one point the entire game. Blob up but move in one lemmingtrain from cap to cap. First one obviously doesnt work. Second one can work.

    1 Screen: Where is the good CV player? Because he has a Hurricane (typhoon? which one is it) Clantag? Both CVs sucked (1st one is enemy MIdway, lower one is yours). 2nd game: Ok, the Cr33d guy is good (but not outstanding really, atleast in his Midway) Meanwhile my Hakuryu from yesterday Thats another level of being bad Kidd and Montana were alone on the other flank pretty much. Kidd dead? Nope. Monty dead? Nope, I got 78k damage AFTER the Cvs already attacked him basicly for the entire game. The Massa and Alaska had the planekills earlier in the game, thats why the CVs probably switched flanks. ANd that was the problem. When we needed the spot, they ignored it (not that they had any impact on the other side as you can see) Alaska had like 3k Health, healed up, i tried to spam it in between getting spotted, couldnt kill him. Meanwhile enemy CVs kept rushing planes into us all the time (as you can see, i shot down quite a lot) But their spotting enabled the enemy team to constantly shoot us. Our CVs "spotting" a MOntana border hugging SHOOTING HE (!!) was as usefull as shooting myself in the foot. I think its kinda weird, usually i feel that there is too much spotting... didnt think bad CV players can even screw that up Got proven wrong tho... I had to run from the almost dead Alaska and Massa (i could have killed them) if the CVs either a) would have spotted them or b) would have killed that FLANKING mogami which was spotting me while i was shooting. The montana was a noob as i said. But if my team doesnt help one bit, i cant do it alone. Enemy CVs didnt even need to be that good, they just kept going at us and the team cashed in on it...

    Imo yes. From what ive experienced, bad CV players will still cause huge issues. That is mostly on T10. Havent seen many CVs on midtier, which makes me wonder (not one CV yesterday in 6 T7 games). Not sure how its for T8 CVs in a T6 battle. Most people complain anyway about bad state for T6 and 8 CVs. T10 CVs (Midway) seem to be extremely strong and has still a high influence on the outcome of the battle. And for the skill gap between players: That is something, which WG actually didnt want to adress as it seems (if i understood MrConway correctly) they wanted to bring the skill gap to the same level for any individual player regarding the different classes. That is what MrConway said in another thread. So: If one players has 80% WR, he is allowed to have 82% WR with CVs. on the other hand, a 40% WR player can have 38% with CVs. So basicly, there was never an intention to close the skillgap by looking at 2 different CV players. WGs interpretation of Skill gap = similiar results in every class, not between players. Technically you could say, its the same on some level, as in, you shouldnt influence the game so much that you lose way more often with CVs than with any other class. But frankly, i dont see much of a difference then before. The data gets even falsified (we cant know the true data) by having up to 3 CVs per side. As we cant see if a bad CV player was the only CV or 1 of 2 (3). And then there is the problem, that most people havent learned to play new CVs properly, so the gap might still get bigger, be the ones that get left behind. Maybe they dont have a big influence on the outcome right now, if the other CV player is also mediocre, but might improve down the line. There were RTS CV players who never learned, even with hundreds of games played. Who says, that it will be different with new CVs? Thats kinda what i mean: I need my entire team (or lets say one half on each flank), to play together in order to make it harder for one player (the enemy CV). If the enemy team is bad, and my CV is bad, then he still cant cash in on it. Contrary to a good DD player. I dont need the rest of my team to make it harder for that DD. In a DD, i could fight or spot him, in a Cruiser, i can radar him or hydro is torps, in a BB i can try to dodge his torps so that he is wasting time on me. Against CV? doesnt work. Im totaly reliant that my team is not being utterly stupid, or i have to hope, that the enemy CV is stupid too. Im all in for more teamwork, but it shouldnt entirely matter what one player (or better 2 (4 or even 6) players) does, aka the CVs. A good CV player can still influence the game that he wins 80% Solo. Show me other ships that can do it. I need basicly all players to do the right thing in order to counter that one person. Its not necessary for any other class. Maybe you need a couple to fend of a Super Unicum DD.

    Yes, but as i mentioned in the same post, i can influence the good DD players and maybe kill them too if they are on my flank. I can make them move to another flank. Which makes them useless for some time. I cant do the same with CVs... I cant protect my team even if its on the same flank. A DD gets blocked if im in radar ship, so he cant touch the BBs behind me. CV just has to fly around me and can strike the BBs. Good CV players will avoid strong AA ships, while good DD players wont avoid good players. They will still try to torp you. If you dodge their salvo, its 1-2 minutes they cant harm one of your teammates. No matter how you turn it: Its not the same thing. With 2 CVs, this gets even worse when you have 2 tomatoes on your side... You could bring the same arguement about BBs, and we all know that its not the same thing.

    Thats kinda the problem. Its a bit the same, but at the same time, its not. I can play against a good DD, and even if i might not kill him, i can try to "remove" him from the battle. And if its only by making him torp me, so i can dodge em (what my teammates cant do). Against a competent CV? No chance.... I can make him NOT attack me, but he needs 20 secs to pick another target which i cant protect. At some point, he will have killed or help kill so many of my teammates that making a comeback is simply impossible. Like 2 games yesterday. One game we lost all our DDs, partly because of permaspotting by CVs, partly because our CVs didnt spot anything. At the same time, we got flanked by single ships, which our CVs didnt manage to kill. Ships with couplf of k HP just didnt get killed because noone spotted them. Or the other game, where i killed 3 ships while i was 1 vs 6 in a Radar Mino. But thats on our team really, they just played extremely bad while there was a CV in game. Our CV however... not sure what he did. As i said earlier: Bad CV players - dont do anything for your team (they dont spot when needed) and at the same time, they are unable to kill a single ship by itself. Good CV players - will spot if necessary, can strike targets, can kill weak targets, and definetely will kill targets which are isolated.

    Dunno how you can have that much bad luck with T7. 6 Games T7 yesterday, 1 was lowtier (against 8 T9s), 1 midtier and 4 toptier. Even one T9 game we were toptier Maybe it just depends on the day. Some days, you are always lowtier, sometimes you are almost always toptier regardless of what you play.

    Basicly since the first post i made after the rework, which was AGAINST the rework, i got insulted immediately as a CV hater... ofc not by rework-critics, but by the other side. I get insulted all the time, even tho ive made reasonable balancing ideas FOR CVs aswell, and i get still insulted as a CV hater (among other insults ofc) So dont paint it, as if only one side is spewing insults first part: I totaly disagree. The side with the worse CV player loses all the time, and its due to the CV atleast to some extent. Dont even have to talk about 2 CV games, they are horrible. Just yesterday, 2 CV game. Our team had basicly no vision at all, and enemy CVs kept spotting and striking us all the time (mind you, i was a Worchester). At the same time, i got spotted by a FLANKING Mogami, which our CVs ignored. In the end, i saw what was going on. They fed themselves to ONE Montana, losing 53 planes to him, dealing basicly 0 damage. I managed to farm that Monty open water gunboating and dealt 78k damage to him. He still wasnt dead. So shows what our CVs accomplished = nothing. The enemy CVs didnt do much themselves, but the constant spotting was enough to get our team roflstomped. 1by1 we melted away. In the end, they could ofc farm damage aswell. Bad CV players are still an extreme burden to the team. Simply because they dont show any teamplay skills. 2nd part: I agree. With RTS CVs, i wouldnt have mind if every game would have had a CV. Would have given me a reason to run AA builds. 2CV games are horrible. 1CV game depends... sometimes its really bad (if your own CV is really bad) sometimes its ok-ish. But still no CV games are more fun in general. Its not about the ships itself. The whole game became very boring due to the meta. (its a bit better now, aslong as no CVs are around). Most of the time, Lemming-blob-train wins the game, by sheer alpha focus fire. I think thats boring and bad. You shouldnt give up 2/3 of the map and still win the game simply because it protects your from one class (aka CVs). On the other hand, you have blobs that sit the entire game on one spot and then they lose ofc Equally unfun if you are on that side, and try to fight against the enemy, which is about to surround you. But also the problem, why non-CV games can be boring, because people just copy that behaviour to every game, regardless of the line-up. To sum it up: Every ship can be unfun to play, if your team consists of headless chickens that are too stupid to do anything. Didnt think it could get worse, but it definetely is worse than pre-rework (as in, happens more often than before)

  18. Forgot this one, this is quite insane imo Radar .... Minotaur Sadly, it was lost quite early. It was me vs 5 or so in the end. Basicly killed the Shima, our CV was "alive" (planes alive, hull dead) and snatched the kill. Then i killed the Henri which was rushing after me. Then killed the Kagero. But i took a torp from him, just couldnt dodge it anymore
  19. Ok, this is pure gold. I was playing Radar mino, and got the opportunity to use one of my DDs smokescreen (obviously it was so big, it couldnt be my own). Then the Henri, which i was farming, started to insult me, here it goes And for more amusement, the mino stats from that guy (which is even more funny, if you consider he has 56% WR on his account ) And teamplay in wows? How does that work Had 6!! guys running back to our base when it got capped. Ruined my game ofc, but you can usually not count on your teammates...

    Usually you only need a small part to participate in a vote to be representetive (see elections when like 1000 people get asked who to vote for if next week would be elections. Usually they are pretty close to what will happen in the end, yet we all know that majority of voters will never be asked beforehand) And normaly we should think, that forumites are more into the game (playing for a long time) and they would cope with most changes simply because they like the game. HOWEVER i also do believe, that a lot of potatoes will play the game no matter what, seeing how they dont really care about their stats anyway, or simply put: cant understand how some people can have fun playing the way they do )

    I think we could even say, that current CV players dont like playing CVs Thats a nice change... old RTS CV players atleast liked playing them Mostly noobs ofc (mimimi i got deleted by CV - nothing i could do). Which brings me to the question: Since when are we catering to noobs But more seriously what he wanted to say imo: Most people didnt like the gameplay of RTS CVs. And thats actually true when i compare them to new CV players. They (not all ofc, before i get flamed again^^) were full of hate towards RTS CVs, because they couldnt cope with it or simply didnt like to play them. Now that we have new CVs, they feel entitled that its THEIR TIME now to rule the seas. I cant come to any other conclusion. Majority of players never opened their mouths before who are being very vocal now about the new CVs. There must be a reason. They wanted to play CVs, but didnt because of the reasons above. Now they want to play CVs, and maybe make them as braindead OP as possible as long as WG is still balancing. I dont even doubt that, because we see what happens when community gets to balance: Graf Zeppelin happens I mean, constantly getting insulted and Mods are like " hmm what? lets remove YOUR post, but let the insult stay", slowly changes your attitude - cant put it any other way. Try to argue with someone, and after one post getting insulted thats not normal. But i will blame CV rework for that one aswell - everyone is miserable. Understandable, game we like is turned to crap

    I dont want to insinuate, but we all know that data can be interpreted by the guy looking at it (again, no saying that you guys do it). But its a fairly common tactic to present conclusions from a set of Data in a certain way, so that it shows what the person analyzing the data wants it to show. If you understand what i mean

    Do CVs belong in Clan Battles? (Poll)

    How can a RTS CV permaspot anything, when he gets countered by the enemy CV He cant just sit there and wait, because the enemy Fighters would scare you away. Not to mention Minotaur was an AA fortress pre-rework, now they changed it so you are not already in his AA bubble, so thats a huge difference. New CVs can spot at will, thats why the teams are spotted 40 secs into the game. There is nothing preventing them from going straight into enemy spawn. You couldnt just fly into enemy spawn with your first squad with RTS CVs. 99% chance you would have lost that squad.
