    406mm is enough to pen 27mm bow plating On the other hand, 420mm cant pen 30mm either... thats why id go with the smaller ones. Imo the gain is way too little (bit better pen and damage) to offset the slower reload.

  3. Whether Missouris radar range is 9,5 or 10 is pretty irrelevant for the Mo itself.... as he is detected waaay before his radar can catch anything. If a DD tries to torp the Missouri from inside his radar range, then the DD has to take a risk, and so has the Missouri player to take a gamble if he can radar the DD or not. And still either doesnt know if one torped or if the other used his radar I really think Missouri is overhyped... ive seen so many Missouri players who never went into a position to use their radar anyway

  5. Once again, people try to give advice -> you ignore it. You are being a about it. Hope WG bans you for crap like that. I tried to be reasonable, and show you why your thinking is wrong... hope WG keeps MM as it is, so people who whine about it, can just leave the game

    I mean, its kinda clear that a class which has superior spotting to all others, and can apply damage more direct than the others is hard to balance. WG went the wrong way: They nerfed the damage output extremely (directly by low alpha/low dot chance or indirectly with "strong" AA), while the spotting will still be an issue no matter what. You could have CVs with spotter planes dealing 0 damage and both sides would still be pissed off - for a good reason. Playing a support role = extremely boring. You dont want to play Cruisers who could be superb in AA while being crap in the gun departement. That doesnt work, as its totaly unfun to play. Same is for CVs. But it got worse by making the planes so extremely fast aswell. Basicly you want to deal damage - all the time. Cant deal damage = unfun for the majority of players. Its as much fun as playing a DD in a 2 CV game where the other ships are camping in the back. You have to work against the spotting, see other ships shooting you while you are handcuffed doing nothing because your torps will never reach anyone. I think the only way to bring back fun for CVs and other classes at the same time, is just limit the spotting. Then its also easier to balance the CVs... WG is going down the road of pure damage farmers anyway, so i dont see a problem. But i guess they dont realize its a big issue getting randomly spotted while playing CA or DD, and its extremely unfun. Also, it makes dodging CV strikes more viable (or possible). Currently, if a CV is striking, i have to think "what if i turn now, will i give broadaide to a BB?" which basicly means: Take torp or get broadside citadelled. Its totaly stupid really. If you change that to "i can focus on the CV while not having to think about getting devstriked by a BB", then you can make the CV drops harder to dodge too.
  7. Id rather say: If more people would play something else than T10. But we get more people playing T10 all the time, T9s are played much less, so the empty spots get filled by T8s. Its literally impossible to fix the MM with the people playing certain tiers more, and others less. @Ronin_Cahill Your training rooms are inheritly flawed: There you play 1v1. Ofc a T10 play with similiar skill will basicly guaranteed win this fight. But randoms are not 1v1. If you go into a 1v1 with the worse ship, then you can win the fight by being more skilled. Ive beaten T10 ships 1v1 with my T8s, but more often than not, you should avoid this. Try to support your higher tier ships. Or how about: you try taking a T6 ships vs a T8 ship in training room. You think the T6 ship will have ANY chance? T8 vs T10 BB can just sit bow on and tank each other (unless its a Yamato) But take a New Mex vs a Bismarck - Bismarck will shred the New Mex so hard its not funny. T6 vs T8 and T7 vs T9 is MUCH worse than T8 vs T10. Because different modules (concealment module f.e.) and overmatch mechanics (T6 BBs get overmatched, while T8 BBs not).

    The problem for most ships is still being spotted - not the damage the CV can deal to them. If a CV is coming close to my Cruiser, im not afraid of the CV, im afraid of the (almost half a dozen) BBs sitting somewhere in the back which only have to sneeze in my direction to get a citadel. And ive always said, thats the actual problem. Now WG created a game, which is unfun for everyone. For the general population, CVs are unfun because obvious reasons. At the same time, DDs/Cruisers suffer greatly when they get surprise spotted. Even when i can kill the squad in my Cruiser within ~10 secs, thats usually enough time for a BB to get his turrets into place and shoot me. And i cant really work against that, unlike working against DDs. The game would really be more fun if CV spotting would be reduced in another way than they implemented it now. If my Cruiser doesnt get spotted for the whole team (especially for those BBs sitting at 20km), then i could actually try to support my DDs with AA. Getting into a position with cover is quite difficult if you get spotted halfway through (unlike with RTS CVs, which hardly would have pulled of a stunt like that, because of the fear of running into enemy CVs fighters). At the same time, you could give CVs more freedom because they dont "break" the spotting. And DDs could ofc still spot, because they wouldnt have to fear to get focused by half the enemy team because they are closer than other ships. Someone said, CVscould spot like spotting is in Cyclone - i think that would have been awesome (like be at a certain range, and the plane spots for other ships aswell, too far away, and you will see the target on minimap only)
  9. I also think, what most people dont account for, is that CVs dont have to (or better: cant) slot premium consumables, so in that departement, they are way cheaper than other ships. Compare them to french CAs or US CLs which need to pay >100k to run all premium consumables

    I didnt like FDG back then, but it got buffed now. Personaly, i wouldnt play secondary build. Ive abandoned it on my GK aswell - works much better with BOS and FP. You can just laugh about fires then. And you can laugh about all AP aswell, since not even Yamato can overmatch your bow (or actually can, but its super unlikely). And now that flood duration got nerfed, made BoS even more viable. With the anti-flooding flag, you get super low flooding time and can ignore that aswell (if you feel like it) Overall tho GK is actually good on T10. Better than Bismarck and FDG because you got 12 guns. Its enough crap flying around that something will stick
  11. Gunboat your way to success Had to gun down the Nelson... and kinda the Leander because was at 4km (but didnt get the kill) We were down on points all game, because only cap we had was B which we took. A/C were capped by enemies because team.exe not found.

    Then dont play T8 !? If its that unfun, then why do you keep playing? I dont play much T10 because its actually rather boring. T7 is where the fun is usually. But play that and everyone goes "[edited]SEALCUBBER"

    1. Yeah ofc thats true. But WG denies me to see all the data so I could see for myself (and thats something I dont like) 2. Thats also a good point... thats why id like to now. And especially for BBs, if switching the sector makes any sense because its so slow. So far, feels like it doesnt matter imo.... But it was the same for everyone? While ticks are different for each ship (or even for same AA mounts of different ships!) For me personaly its so simplified that the numbers which you see in game dont have any resemblance to the values shown in port... Normaly there would be no problem to just show us the interval, but ofc its to hide strong AA ships

    You could just remove all values and give the real DPS value? Even if the interval is not per second, the comparision can still be made between different ships. Then you can add a detailed version by scrolling over the DPS value, f.e. Kreml shortrange AA has 604,8 Damage per SECOND (not the mentioned 190, which is damage per Tick (kinda)) Let it say 605 DPS in the UI, and when i scroll over it, then it can show - Interval 0,22 seconds - 70% Hit chance - Area damage 190

    Agreed. That whole interval/DPS/Hitrate stuff is confusing at best. But i think they will keep it hidden, so RU BBs will have hidden stronk AA (fast interval like i think OR has... atleast its AA seems extremely strong)

    Yes i get that. But i think his conclusion doesnt make any sense in regards to his other ships. Having 67% solo WR on T10 is imo something which shouldnt warrant any more buffs (and it certainly is not having not enough impact on the game) because by that logic, we could demand extensive buffs for BBs and Cruisers (and for DDs a bit) to be able to get the same influence. And it actually is what WG wanted to adress with the reduced Skill gap (once i realized what MrConway said): People should have the same WR with CVs as with the other classes. Which ofc makes no [edited]sense, since being good with Cruisers doesnt help me one bit in playing CVs, just because the mechanics are totaly different. Well, you are not supposed to win every game If one player could win every game just by playing a specific ship, i would say the ship is totaly broken/OP.

    First let me say, with some points I agree, with others i dont, but this specific part is something i can only wonder about. Basicly what @asalonen already picked up also. You have a very good WR in your Midway, >67% solo. Now if i compare that to your other T10 ships, they basicly range from low 40-ish to 55%. Clearly, you have much more issues having an impact with other ships than with CVs, but you still say that your impact is too little with a CV. I just dont understand the reasoning behind this. Why is a CV supposed to be THE carrying/influence machine and everything else can just sit by and watch the show?

    Playing a shooter might give you better reaction skills? How is ranked competetive? If someone has a T10 ship, in which he can play randoms ofc, what is stopping him from pressing ranked and play that instead of random battles? Labeling ranked as some sort of competetive gamemode will never work in the current implementation. ranked is about investing time... If people chose to play a PvP game, they should play to the best to their abilites. Its not only about your own enjoyment anymore - you have a team, and the the other HUMAN PLAYERS want to have fun aswell. Which some people simply are ignoring by doing whatever they feel like. Then play coop, its almost impossible to ruin the fun for other people there. You see, there are 2 different kind of people coming to the forums: - 1 Group is asking for help in a normal manner, they understand that the game will be more enjoyable if they improve, and its up to them to get better results. They will always get appropriate help. - The other group comes here, kicking and screaming, even insulting at times, and they will get the response they deserve. When some people make up some weird theories, why WG is ruining THEIR game, then there is no helping these people. Everyone can do better - question is if they want that. And people who dont accnowledge that they have to blame themselves... Ask @Saltface f.e. if he got statshamed when he asked for help? And the results can be seen right away. Poeple who get helped, can use the information for their own advantage, making the game more fun AND being more succesful at the same time

    So where is the prove? Show it to me. Show me clearly where people wrote "I want +/-2 MM so i can club T8 ships". What you are presenting are claims that someone said it somewhere, not even any shread of evidence. And the way you presented it, also includes that good players are the ones who would want such a thing, because since "git gud" from a bad player would be laughable at best. Sure, those comments have been made, i wont deny that. Thats because its the truth. Good players can cope with that kinda MM. Bad players do everything else except try to get better. They are the little rage kids running around screaming and kicking, simply because they have no clue about the game and dont want to learn anything. They just want to get everything handed to them on a silver platter. If you want to make good players have even better WR -> go ahead and advocate for same tier MM Personaly i dont care, because i will profit from that. But it might turn out bad for the game overall, thats why im against it.

    No, that what you want to have, would result in Unicums carrying the bad players around EVERY SINGLE GAME. Why would the bad players learn anything ever? They just get carried all the time. I dont want to be matched deliberately with bad players all the time just because im better than the average. Really, i would stop playing then Actually, thank you for writing that. I expected that all along for bad players. It makes sense actually. They dont get much more value out of surviving longer or winning for that matter. But you will destroy the game for yourself in the process. You think, you get to T10 and then be awesome? You couldnt be more wrong... When you put 2 not good players in one division, ofc you will lose more often than if you would play solo. Divisions impact the WR on both sides: Bad players lose more, good players win more. SImple as that. @GarrusBrutus (see, i was right afterall ) So argueing with you has no value, because you say something like this: - You dont want to learn - Your opinion is already set in stone. Losing streaks happen all the time, if you play solo, they can happen more often. However, since you started playing T10, you will lose more often, simply because you cant carry your team (or even yourself for that matter). You expect your lowertier ships to carry YOU, which they cant do either, as you agree, lowertier ships are treated "unfairly" by the MM. (Thats why, bad players wont profit from same tier MM) The only advice i would give you: Go back to T4-T7, and LEARN THE GAME! It already shows, that you have a miserable experience on T10 while only playing a few games there. Yet, you blame the team, instead to look to improve yourself. If you and Commissarr are divisioning on T10, what makes you think you deserve to win more with the performance you are showing? GK = 52k average damage Hindenburg = 37k average damage. My own numbers: GK: 122k average damage HIndenburg: 119k average damage Please dont see this as stat bashing or stat shaming: But explain me, why do you think you deserve to have a better WR? I have 56% in both ships aswell, while i deal more damage with either ship that you 2 guys together. What would warrant a better WR for you? I have to use those numbers to try to make you understand that the problem is with you - not with your teams. Yes, because you dont understand, that it would get WORSE for bad players. Yesterday we had to carry T9 ships to victories while playing T7. Would they be better off if they would have been T7 ships aswell? Ofc not, we would stomp them even harder... Thats a bunch of lies, and you know it You try to shame other people, and when they think you are talking to them, you suddenly turn tails and say "oh i didnt mean you, i meant the others" which others are left here? Me? Or are there still other persons argueing against this? Im against same tier MM, because i know the consequences for bad players. But you cant accept this to be true, you think i want to sealclub T8 ships. and FYI, i have 4x more battles on T8 than on T10. (even T9+T10 combines is less than T8 alone) And im still playing T8 recently, and im doing better there than on T10 also. You know why? Because the T8 ships on the other team play precisely the way that has been showcased here in the very thread: Rush in, and die.
