    How does Skill effects WR?

You have literally the same damage in Iowa and Missouri. Even if you might not use Mo's Radar, its still a threat to DDs simply by being there. I have played Missouri VERY aggressively with Radar, and used it to get DDs out of the game. I dont think i could have gotten the same WR with Iowa - maybe close to it, but i certainly won games simply because of Missouris Radar. In the end, the guns are the same tho. 50 Games with Iowa, WR is pretty bad... i think its actually a combination of both bad luck, and potentially some games where you could have made a difference you might have blown it becaues of mistakes (dieing too early f.e.) Hard to say tho, but the WR is definetely really bad for 50 games imo. Some ships i have had very bad WR, others really good WR for the first ~20 battles. Most of the time, it started to even out after that. (GK, Nagato f.e.) But i know, if i kept producing CONSISTANT results like i did before, i would get a better WR, and so it happened. Nagato i stopped playing because i got to Amagi. On the other hand, i feel my KGV/NC WR is a bit inflated. I had good games where i carried, and other games where i did nothing. If you are good, you will have more ships with higher WR. If you are bad, you can still get lucky with some ships at first, but most of the time, you will have bad WR (doesnt prevent you from having a lucky streak with a new ship tho) GK = not enough games played. Worcester = starts to show, I think the problem is more with you. Since we cant tell how you achieve your average damage (HE spamming BBs or actively fighting DDs), i have to guess tho. Well, see above. If you play couple of hundred games, even if its in different ships, than the overall WR is still valid, as you had your games where you could make a difference. However, maybe you were just unlucky in your 28 GK games and it might even out if you go for 100 battles in it. Also, there seems to be something wrong with your divisions. Your solo WR is better than divisions recently... 3div worse than 2div, id say, your division buddies are probably not that good Or you simply cant work well together, that happens too. Ive been playing most of the time 2man div, and recently more 3man div. Since we have a lot of people in the clan, the 3rd person is most of the time a different one. With some players we had a really good synergy, others dont work so well.

Really that bad? I mean, i was expecting it tbh... i knew average player will go for it, because its the easiest way. Average player is smarter than we give them credit for most of the time WG is ruining the game more and more because we have retard missions all the time. Its running from one mission to the next

With next patch, which will come on 27/28th i think.

Operation Killer Whale (Op of the Week)

Ive been asking WG that like one year ago: Nothing happened The completion criteria is just bull. Maybe make it a secondary mission, i dunno. On the other hand, we would need another task which ends the mission, otherwise it would just run through for 20 minutes. Personaly i wouldnt mind, but with OPs they seem to go for something which ends the mission earlier (Raptor Rescue ends when the CV gets to the exit zone, Narai ends when enough soldiers are unloaded OR all ships are killed, Dynamo ends when enough soldiers are unloaded... and so forth) They could make it end when all of the necessary ships are sunk, but then we wouldnt necessarily need to spawn 3-4-5 waves of enemies. As for dieing to win the mission: Yeah, might be counter intuitive, but on the other hand, dieing doesnt do anything negative for you. You dont get less rewards or have to pay more service costs. Quite contrary, if you get a 5 star win compared to a loss, you get like 4-5 times the rewards id say. Easiest solution would be to change the criteria for a victory. But somehow i feel, WG is actually doing this out of spite so this OPs has a higher failure rate (they must have the data which shows this)

    How does Skill effects WR?

But had some horrible luck when i got it... First 12 games were 10 losses afaik, and till 25 battles or so i still had deep red WR. After that I won almost all games

    Radar Discussion Megathread

Lets put it another way: I agree about the CV part. CVs turned the spotting upside down now. Old CVs were atleast influenced by the each other too, so you could hope that a fighter would drive away the planes spotting you. Ive made the same arguement about CV spotting, it would benefit the game imo. But against Radar, there are many options. I dont have a problem with radar, and i can still spot other ships. The problem here is the average player no willing to learn. Who could possibly ask for that you know radar range and duration Teamwork is mostly ignored these days, thanks to WG. They promote selfishplay and it shows. Noone is doing anything which contributes their team. They want all the damage/kills themselves, and they dont care if they win or lose. But Radar needs to stay so that Unicum DD players have a counter and get limited in their gameplay.

Operation Killer Whale (Op of the Week)

I dont think my teammates did that out of spite... they were just dumb? As in "I have to survive, no matter if it fails the mission" We had one guy in the circle, it would have sufficed if one of them would have died. But since they were sitting in the harbour, they were avoiding the combat pretty much.

    How does Skill effects WR?

Im extremely lucky i guess - Kutuzov i won from WG birthday event - Massa i won from Lup3s Xmas giveaway (also from WG) - Graf Spee/PEF/DOY were 4 free from the new years events - Z-39 doubloons (through containers/ranked/CBs/missions...) - Cossack as i said - OR/Indianapolis/Marblehead/Emden/Smith were mission chains/or some bonus codes afaik. - The rest are Coal/FreeXP ships - unlocked by f2p

    How does Skill effects WR?

    - I basicly never run Premium unless WG is giving it to me. ("bought" a couple of days with doubloons (which WG also gave me) for farming Dynamo back in the days) - WG got 0,89€ from me for a Cossack, not one more cent - My WR is still rising all the time, because im still improving my gameplay. Clanbattles for the first time helped me improve that too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Guess WG just loves me

    Radar Discussion Megathread

So if you dont see anything, you just continue rushing blindly in? Why would you do that I wonder, how come your CV isnt spotting then? If CV spotting is so horrible, you should see something right? And here is a nice scenario for you: When DDs dont have to be afraid about Radar or CV spotting, what will eventually happen? 2 DDs bump into each other, one will survive, the other dies. The surviving DD can then spot at will for his team, while the other team is blind as a mole. I guess that would be more fun for you? Probably you need to experience that to see how much fun that is

Operation Killer Whale (Op of the Week)

Played one game yesterday and the opposite happened We were playing with 4 guys basicly, since 3 of them didnt do anything. 2 of those 3 (3rd died earlier) sat in the harbour when the time ran out, and one of them was insulting us the entire game One of them was needed to go to the exit zone, but they rather ran away... I hate this OP

    Exeter - Last stage

I think needing 7 Achievenments to get a Free premium ship isnt bad. But i fear what lengths the average player will go through in order to get those Achievements First Blood/Devstrike/Its just a flesh wound would be the most reasonable to achieve. This just spells "YOLO" especially with DDs

Yeah, i meant that, just wrote it a bit weird, ill change that
  15. DFens_666

Radio Location - good decision to implement?

I fail to see the logic in here: Bad players cant use the info RPF is giving them because they are bad. And good players get lots of information which they can use because they are good. Isnt that skillful use then? So it adds more skill to the game, its not removing it. And the last part it gets even worse imo: So you want to add another skill, which would confuse bad players beyond everything (they dont know that something else is near DESPITE RPF telling them the closest position of a ship). And skills/consumables that have a sole purpose to counter another skill/consumable are imo totaly retarded. Thats like DD players suggesting we need a Radar jammer to block radar Just yesterday i had 2 guys RPF pointing towards the CV, which was last ship alive. And I couldnt catch it in time, because he was running away from me constantly dropping bombs ofc. So RPF usage against last target = not always useful (well they were losing anyway so...) If you can catch a DD with another ship because of RPF, then its still on the DD since he could oustpot you.

Radio Location - good decision to implement?

Good for stealth torping DDs Did that quite often with my Takao on which i used RPF first. But since then i use it also on Fiji and Minotaur (latter is more obvious because i use Radar, it gives so much info ) But it has been helpful on Fiji too, since T5 Maps can be smaller and you can surprise DDs with that. For me its a good alternative skill instead of going for more AA... lets face it, certain Cruisers dont need 19 pt captains really, it mostly ends in skilling more AA since thats the most useful compared to the other skills.

    How does Skill effects WR?

Certainly feels like that occasionally Straightline full broadside Cruiser, everything misses or overpens -> you can bet he is a <50% player *tinfoil hat off*

    How does Skill effects WR?

So tell me, is everyone of those 12 players on the losing side just unlucky that they were on the losing team? If WR is purely about luck, and noone is able to influence that by himself, then that would be true for everyone. Thus, every player on the losing side is able to complain "its my teams fault that i lose"... which is really absurd if you think about it People who use the arguement "WR is luck not skill" seem to not accept that its their fault that they have the WR they actually have. Everyone loses games in which they did good, and everyone wins games when they could have been AFK. This means, it will even out over a significant number of battles. And between you have those games, where you either contribute to the win, or to the loss for that matter.

    How does Skill effects WR?

This. Ive basicly played Solo only in my first 6 months, after that i did only a few. Nowadays, i only play division since its more fun. Best thing is, when people start to flame you for your solo stats, because they cant figure out, that they are so old

    How does Skill effects WR?

<-- Had to pick this one up. One game (sadly i was last man alive and it was a loss), was open water gunboating with my Radar Mino chased by an HIV. Killed 2 DDs and the HIV Then i took the torp from the dead DD Anyway, there was still a CV, one more DD and a BB alive...

    How does Skill effects WR?

ehhh... what does it help if everyone around you has the best from the best aswell? Yamato is the only ship (with Musashi ofc) that can overmatch 32mm of armor, which most BBs have atleast at the Bow/Aft section. But go to T6-7 you actually have the same -> BBs overmatching each others bow AND even most other parts aswell. Yamato can overmatch Montys Bow and Stern, but not his midsection. Bayern can overmatch a QE litereally everywhere except main belt armor T5 IJN DDs are very stealthy and dont have to fight Radar ships (well, rarely have to), T8 DDs are also quite stealthy. And tons of Radar ships are really bad for DDs anyway Really, i dont see, how playing T10 requires less skill to be good Mistakes are punished MUCH harder, even if having a good knowledge about game mechanics can also give you the edge in midtiers - but the ships more often lack the ability to deliver what you need in a specific situation. Having really good dispersion can also be bad, if you are not good at aiming in the first place I imagine someone hitting lot less with LM Yamato if the target dodges properly. TX requires more skill to compete with the other players around. I have to work MUCH harder, and still wont get the same results than T8 and T9 (and T8 was my potato tier, where i played 500+ battles with Takao to get all ARP ships 2+ years ago)
  23. 8th kill was close, didnt get the DD which had 700+ HP, only one hit, someone else got the kill Tied for 6th place with Marblehead PR now
  24. Since Nelson actually has 32mm Upper belt and deck armor, its pretty tanked when angled properly. The only thing which eats a nelson alive, is a Musashi. You only have to protect your broadside, and your bow/aft section, which is hard to hit if you have a good angle and dont sit still. Apart from that, they are VERY fragile against HE spam, pretty much every ship after the Iron Duke. And T8+ is vulnerable to Musashi and Yamato - more than other BBs as @B0Tato showed (32mm overmatch everywhere, US/IJN/KM are more resilient on T9+10 and Bismarck ofc). QE gets overmatched everywhere by 380mm+ caliber, and so does KGV.
  25. He was talking about their armor
