  2. Stalingrad has been nerfed by introduction of CVs already. HIV is just the best package of everything. Fast, good guns, reloadbooster, even torps. With CVs, you cant just sit at Islands, so you need Cruisers which can open water gunboat. HIV is better than Hindenburg easily. And Zao suffers more from CVs i think.
  3. Sure, smoke firing detection works both ways (or all ways ) DD sits in smoke, BB shoots at 14km -> DD can spot BB. Works ofc aswell if the smoke would be between them.

    I dont think people take CV because they wanna go rambo with it... they just play OPs because its more fun in there i suppose (and easier to grind them)
  5. Games were really shitty today... couple of them couldnt do anything. Enemies avoided caps, ran to the border and died before i could get there High moment of the day 50k gone with one Salvo But that game ended basicly soon after that aswell. Got 20 more k on the JB in the back, and our team cleaned B/C in the meanwhile.

    You leave Marblehead alone will you For T2-4 I dont play any seriously done there really... I got Smith, Emden and Tachibana L, all <10 games played. More like shitz and gigglz when i take them out. Vampire, Dreadnought, Yubari basicly untouched so far (only Coop) T5+ OR - doesnt connect with it, alltho everyone says its OP. Maybe if id play it more, but i usually play Marblehead on T5. Shinonome - only a couple of games played in it. T6 is a meh tier imo. PEF - see no reason to take it into Randoms, its fun in Operations tho. DoY - didnt like it when i tried it. But now that i have better game knowledge, i think i could make it work. Then again, i have Nelson on T7 Massa - won it, 3 games, feels really meh. Guns dont perform, secondaries dont work in that campy blob meta Cossack - played a bit, i like it actually, but it was great in Dynamo where i played it. Salem - 8 Games, i dont like TX so much anyway, and lately been playing GK because in a division others take DD/CA, so i go for BB. And all the Kongo/Myoko clones. No real reason to play them, i did play the Kongos a bit because i was new to the game, but now they basicly just sit in port

    However, Torpedo Bulges shouldnt just eat that damage. I can understand not citadelling things like an Amagi, which has belt armor, and the Citadel is behind that. But Nelson only has Bulge - Citadel, so it should be possible to get in their despite having sAP. If Bulges can eat sAP, then you need to be able to damage them aswell imo. Ive citadelled nelsons with my Nelson before, but since a couple of weeks/months, seems impossible, same goes for other sAP BBs shooting Nelson. So its not only Nelson, but has to do with the sAP interacting with bulges instead.

    Yeah, i went 2vs1 with Kron vs Massa and Roma, killed them both Roma was stupid tho, shot HE at me. Basicly he fed his Massa to me, so i snacked it first. Then went back for the Roma which was still Broadside

    Ive been wondering about this aswell... yesterday almost full broadside Nelson vs Nelson at <6km, 4 Pens, 1 Overpen, 5k damage, the Pens which should have been Citadels all dealt 0 damage. Later that day had another Nelson broadside, a little further also no Cits. I mean, due to the shortfuse AP you cant get to all Citadels, but Nelsons Citadel is only behind the Torpedo bulges Should be no problem to get there and penetrate the armor, but doesnt work anymore. But this isnt limited to Nelson anyway, French BBs eat pen damage like no tomorrow. I think the Bulges are seriously bugged since they did those tests with the saturated areas and stuff There are games, were half or more of my pens deal 0 damage
  11. 2 tough games at the end, first was really close, 2nd not so much, but needed to hardcarry with our division^^ (we had ~400k damage together) And AA getting destroyed is really a joke... the saipan just buttfucked me easily. I basicly lost 60k to one torp bomber. Came in, took all 4 ofc with my brick, flood + engine damage, have to repair no chance i could sit there. I managed to juke the 2nd drop took only 1, then he came back from the other side, double permaflood and engine damage, and double permafire from the Monarch Yeah T8 CVs UP, need buffz... my [edited]really.

    Why would the amount of DD lines have anything to do with how many DDs are played? Would we see less BBs if there would be only one nation with BBs? I seriously doubt that...

    Depends what you are shooting at. If its a BB, go for the belt armor / Citadel basicly. If its a Cruiser.... eh hope that they angle.... otherwise you will just shoot through them^^

    The strength of the Kronshtadt are the railguns. You can easily shoot long-maxrange and get reliable hits. The AP is ofc good aswell because you have 305mm guns, its better against BBs than Cruisers because the shells are so fast. Its big and clumsy, you dont want to get too close. Musashi, Yamato and Republique are your worst enemies as they overmatch your Citadel deck armor. Other BBs have a hard time citadelling you, so id disagree on the Kronshtadt being a Citadel galore. Because of the 25mm armor all around, you cant tank any BB (except Lyon and Scharnhorst), they will overmatch you everywhere. Krons Accuracy is not good, but you should get a decent hitrate compared to other Cruisers because the shells are so fast. I think you will get better in it, but i feel you might be lacking game knowledge overall, as you still only have ~2,5k battles. The better you know your enemy, the better you can use the ships you are playing.

    I think you need to be top >25~10% of the playerbase to get Unicum PR. But mostly its about damage. And depending on the ship, you have to be REALLY good to get a good PR.

  18. Sure, np: 1. Shoot at a target and you get detected (gunbloom at max detection). 2. Go behind Cover (island/Smoke) where noone can spot you 3. Gunbloom gets resetted after a couple of seconds because noone is spotting you anymore. Currently, instead of 3. we have, gunbloom stays at max range for 20 seconds because someone saw you shoot at some point. Imo the bugged version is much more intuitive (noone sees you anymore -> gunbloom gets resetted), and they said, they would look into implementing this after they dealt with the CV rework. Hope so

  20. Could be - but not necessarily. Depends when he shot his guns. " I smoke up immediately after firing however I am still spotted " -> Is he only talking about his torps? Or maybe guns aswell. He could have been ~3km away from the Nagato, shot him before going into the smoke (thus triggering the gunbloom), and staying detected INSIDE his smoke. We are talking about even hundred meters here, and you can easily be wrong in the heat of the battle. In theory, with the oher gunbloom mechanics, he might have gotten undetected and it would have resetted his gunbloom. At this point, its just a guess tho and the replay would definetely help to clear things up. But either way, it was him firing his guns which made him stay detected inside his smoke. But gunbloom mechanics are anything but intuitive at this moment, the "bugged" version was much better.
  21. When you shoot your guns, and you get detected while doing so, your gunbloom will stay active for 20 seconds. I dont know what Gallants smoke firing detection is, but i guess its between 2,5-3~km. That would fit your description. If the Nagato shot earlier (or not at all) he will ofc get undetected earlier when he leaves your 2km assured acquisition. Oh, i have to do it: @MrConway See how counter intuitive gunbloom detection is? And you guys from WG said, that it makes more sense to have 20 secs gunbloom if you are being detected while firing. Btw i havent forgot, i still hope that you will "fix" this and return to the "bugged" version from 0.7.xx

    Its exactly like i said -> you are divisioning with bad/inexperienced players and you wonder why you lose more often First guy doesnt know how the game works (yet) while not being that good to begin with, and the 2nd... well you know You would have a much better chance playing solo... which is proven if you look at your own stats. By playing 3man Div, its very likely to attract a good division against you, especially at TX. If you play Solo, you might be on the side with the good division.

    But if ignore would work like the way you propose, then every other player could still abuse it. ONly if you wouldnt ignore good/bad players, doesnt mean that others wouldnt do it... I would definetely block those potatoes that basicly dont play the game but are going for cruiseship-simulator instead

    We need replays for that. General advice: If you are getting oustpotted all the time, you dont have Concealment Expert i guess. Its pretty essential these days, starting pretty much at T4-5 already. Also its benefitiary to know, which DDs have which concealment. So if you play a DD with meh concealment, and you are facing IJN DDs, they most likely WILL outspot you. Unless they dont have CE, but you shouldnt count on that. If they dont have CE, better yet, you can then outspot them by a couple of hundred meters.
