A Bismarck can tank very well against a Yamato, just dont show full bow. Bismarck has thick Belt/plating/deck armor which bounces Yamato shells. Amagi has bigger problems, as its covered in 32mm armor. But T9/10 BB also have a lot of 32mm armor, especially Bow and Aft. If you sit Bow on in an Amagi or Yamato vs another Yamato, he can overmatch both. But you can Bowtank a Montana/Repub/GK/Bourgogne/Conqueror (if he would shoot AP) in every T8 BB. Arguably, Conqueror/French BBs receive more damage from a Yamato because they are bigger than lowtier BBs. Also, not every enemy ship is a Yamato/Musashi. The better you know what you can do, and what your enemy is able to do, the better you can react to every situation. -

Every T8 BB can tank the same way a T10 BB can. Unless its Yamato vs GK which can bowtank... a NC works the same as a Montana in that sense. Ive never understood why people complain when being lowtier in a BB. I can understand on T6/7 its extremely bad against T8+, because T8 overmatches your Bow/plating, but T6/7 cant do it to T8. But on T8/9/10 there is no difference. T8 BBs have a bit less range, but they got better concealment aswell, so i think it evens out. -

Previously, they received full BB AP penetration damage, now its like all DDs except Khaba and Harugumo. -
DD spawning next to a Cruiser - nuff said. If range is big enough so DD is not spotted -> Cruiser being spotted by DD and close to a BB. I dont see that working. Also, main armament needs to be loaded when game starts. This makes it extremely bad for DDs with slow torp reload. If you give them torps right away, then you have to give it to BB mainguns aswell to balance it. Then you are creating a lot of new other problems (instablapping and stuff). But if you let DD torptubes reload at the start, then they can just get disabled and they have to start reloading from scratch again. Also currently, you dont see enemy ships before the game starts. you can observe this in KotS when the spectator ships spawn next to each other, they are only visible after the game has started. Sounds more fun than it actually will be imo.

I kinda wonder about this stuff too... ive been seeing a lot of premiums without camo aswell. Or Premiums with Type 1/2/5 actually, thats the best one Guess people are just getting dumber by the minute ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It has always been like that, simply because T8 gets access to Concealment Module. Its not only for Premium DDs which can outspot you. Also, if you are a T7 in a T8/9 game, enemies have a T7 DD aswell. I know it sucks, i was Mahan vs Fletcher which i vividly remember, nothing you can do really. Our T9 DD just yoloed in ofc. I managed to survive, but in the end we lost anyway. Thats why i always disagree with all the T8 vs T10 whining. T8 vs T10 is not that bad. T7 DD/BB vs T8+ is extremely bad (Cruisers are in a toughspot anyways), and T6 vs T8 is the most horrible one imo.

Well i mean, every BB HE could pen other BBs too even before RN BBs were introduced. But most of the time, it was simply not worth it for the others to actually use HE. RN BB HE has too much Alpha and fire chance so its overly viable. Just want to throw in here, that the Radar only works against BBs and CVs, and the latest version didnt actually have Radar when Flamu has been playing them. I havent heard anything about why it was removed tho. Im basicly there I play CBs now when i have the time, but i really dont wanna play randoms. Usually get dragged in by Clanmates/friends tho so they have a 3rd guy for division Space battles became boring quite fast aswell, i think ive missed the 600 Irionium for a LM already anyway, so not sure if i need to continue playing them.

This was an issue even before we had the CV rework. Like on Land of Fire, there is one BB spawn in the south to the far left, and even RTS CVs could abuse this. WG didnt care back then - I dont see them care now Id even add some other stuff too, which is bad because of the spotting, like on Hotspot. If a Russian Cruiser spawns in the center, it basicly has to reverse, otherwise even a DD could spot it. Ive fucked so many Donskois / Moskvas its not funny. With the new CV, this is even more of an issue. But WG is like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Im totaly onboard that many maps/spawnlocations need to be looked at, but if WG thinks its fine, nothing we can do about it -

If they raise the citadel, then the shell doesnt need to go that deep tho. But if there is a "hidden" deck in between, then it wont work. But i guess we will see Bow/Aft overmatch citadels should definetely become a thing tho. -

I wonder how likely it will be to receive citadels from Yamato/Musashi while being angled, as the plating is 32mm and the citadel deck is 32mm aswell. Just overmatch straight into it? -

Said it in Discord today: Conqueror went from retard-ship to Pro-Pwnz0r. Noobs will fail because they get citadelled, and good players which can avoid receiving citadel damage will wreck everything. Who knows if future CBs arent played with more Conquerors because it will be so OP I can see that happen. Only problem might be CVs ? -

Back when there were AP secondaries, aiming for the belt might have made some sense, since you could citadel Cruisers with it. But with HE secondaries only now, aiming for the belt is retarded af. It basicly makes Secondaries more useless vs BBs, as their belt armor is bigger compared to Cruisers. I wonder what will happen when they change IFHE (more tradeoff compared to now) Might make secondary build BBs even more useless -
I tend to agree. F.e. losing torptubes on Hindenburg/(Minotaur) all the time. @ OP Yeah, ive had turrets destroyed without them being knocked out before. Once with Hindenburg vs Buffalo (or was old Balti, cant remember). When i killed him, his last salvo destroyed one of my turrets completely. Game was like 4 mins old at that point

The only thing i dont like, are the Space camos. The only ones i disabled, since its extremely annoying to see if they are burning. But in general, i think its a good way to test stuff for WG (f.e. MBRB). Guess that works much better than doing it on the PTS But also other stuff like new gamemodes. And its also a way to play (test) ships you dont have yourself. Ofc you have to know which techtree ship they represent -
If he lets you get close yeah... most of them like to stay at 18km tho Pushing them means, you will die (unless they are really dumb). I didnt like the secondary build. Just crap in this meta for me. Who said i was advertising for Secondary build Also i think you misundertood my sentence: Brawl in a Yamato/Musashi = No Brawl in a GK = Yes You can go in even if you are not specced for secondaries. Ive had much better success relying on my mainguns and tankiness. Deal with HE Cruisers first, then you are very safe to push forward. Or if possible, just rush the Cruiser directly, but it depends so much on the situation, its hard to give the right advice. Every game is different.

Kinda tough question. Ive played my fair share of Missouri, but i dont play her anymore these days. I just rate Musashi much higher, especially since im playing only in division. Missouri is imo a good versatile ship if you play Solo. Radar against DDs and good AA. But in a division, Musashi gives more firepower, which is better for me. Id say, every of those 3x T9 premium BBs have their own place. But Missouri got always so much hate because of the Radar, which i think is not justified. Musashi can decide more games, hands down.

Almost lost 2 stars, because team ignores Fuso, and one Transport ship died 2 secs after it entered the exit zone. -
Also Island camping Cruisers. And imo a GK is better and pushing other BBs then any other BB. Probably other BBs would suit my playstyle better, but since i have only the GK on T10 im limited anyway. Id like to have LM Yamato But brawling with Musashi (which i have) is not something you wanna do. But Brawling with a GK is something you wanna do. You just cant do it at the wrong time (or place).

Hard to say, if we dont know what kinda build you are running. I dont run secondary build anymore because of that reason. Get rid of key targets first, then push in against the BBs. Only Conqueror is something which hurts because of the retard HE spam, the others AP you can just bounce. You just cant push in right away from the get go.

Totaly onboard with this. We cant have 2 CVs all the time and lose our defense capability against planes for the entire game. And i dont see why Turrets/Torptubes need to be able to be permanently destroyed, except making the game more unfun for the receiving end. Its not like everyone knows if a DD has lost 1 torptube, and suddenly he is much less of a threat. Since its basicly impossible to know, you cant count on it. And for me personaly, it would be great if Secondaries couldnt destroy or incapacitate Engines/rudders/guns/torptubes, but i dont think that would be easy to implement, since its based on caliber.

I mean, its obvious why you use it in CBs: Its a better Hindenburg pretty much, and you get Stalingrad/Moskvas every game. I dont see it making a difference that often in randoms, also because you dont necessarily get to shoot that specific target, compared to CBs where you are there as a specific counter to one ship. Ofc you can just go with the same build in randoms, but im not sure if the average player is using this. So im not sure, when you see an Henri in randoms, that its actually using IFHE. I rate Hindenburg being a bigger threat, because they can pen the 50mm deck, compared to HIV which might not.
