I mean... i can see that happen actually? Smolensk and the French CL have 13mm Plating, so it would make sense from that angle. They announced earlier, IFHE will be more tradeoff, so less firechance would make sense (personaly, id go for less alpha damage if you take IFHE, that would be more tradeoff imo). Lets look how they would need to change the overmatch, if f.e. Yamato would retain its sole overmatching capability at hightiers: 460/17,6 = 26,13mm. That would also mean, 457mm guns cant overmatch 26mm BB plating. If that would be the right value, then US/KM CAs could still bounce 380/381mm BB shells (22*17,6 = 387,2) And CAs cant overmatch CL 13mm plating at the same time. So yeah... i think they will change the overmatch rule aswell, it wouldnt work otherwise ?! If they wont change the value, then Cruisers are really fucked. I mean, some will be anyway by looking at T8 Cruisers which can bounce lower caliber BB AP currently (f.e. Chapa vs Fuso). A change to the value might lead to T6 BBs overmatching T8 Cruisers. -

Hard to say for highertiers, but ive had good success with popping it rather late when ive been playing Marblehead. Basicly when the CV is already preparing the drop (depending on the planetype, for TBs i pop it earlier than the others). In the end, they get their one drop off (not sure if thats avoidable anyway), but they guaranteed lose the planes in the process.

I recently thought about planes having a cone-like spotting below and infront of them. That would certainly remove the amount of spotting CVs can do. But you probably would need to nerf AA detectabiltity at the same time aswell. Blobbing up would make it easier to spot for a CV. And if a CV is barely flying into your AA detecability, you could stay hidden by trying to maneuver outside of his spotting field. In the end, that would require a lot of work to get it right tho (atleast i think so), which means WG would never go for it anyway.

Id like to see this squad evaporating thing from the pov of the guy shooting them down. Shouldnt it show some absurd damage number? Possibly 15k or more? I think the highest one ive seen so far while watching stream/YT was 9,xk, and i went like WTF Couple of days ago when i played Mino, i think this might have happened to our CV. He flew into B towards a Gearing, one sec later "puff" gone. I was like, where the hell did he go, what happened there? also i think, Bug fixes shouldnt be called nerfs or buffs. Its like when AA was fucked up on T6/7 and when they fixed that, some people said CVs got nerfed It only puts more fuel to the fire, and the forum is heated up enough already.

And on the other hand you have this Cleary there is no balance. Saipan can fly circles around you, especially if Mong-error can kill most of your AA. And if CV can manage to dodge the rest of the flak (whats left of it). Cant kill any plane. And ofc Flooding reduction = Especially if they break your engine too. Idiots die to Musashi AA, others dont die at all. Total failure.

You could go to the training room with Yamato and shoot some BBs at close range see what happens. Maybe Alabama (however, this one you cant pick for a bot) is not wide enough if you are at <3km. I had a Musashi vs Musashi brawl not long ago, i citadelled him when we were almost touching each other. -

Are you sure you hit those areas you claim to hit? How can you know? Unless you are very close, than you might aswell be overpenning them, when the shells are too fast to detonate inside the ship. Alltho, i dont think overpenetrating a BB belt armor should happen at all Hightier BBs just have very little armor above the belt armor, so you basicly cant arm the shell there (unless you overmatch it). Im not sure how Alabamas armor is looking on the inside, but US BBs have a weaker citadel deck armor in the center, which Yamato (and all other BBs for that matter) can overmatch if you dont hit the citadel right away. If you want an overpen machine, take Kronshtadt -
As a Cruiser player, i welcome this. Getting spotted at the wrong moment can cost you a lot of your health. I believe with 45 sec delay this will make it much easier so i dont have to take an alternative route to where i wanna go.

I used to play Operations quite often, but now i barely play them anymore. - Only 4 OPs available, which make them too repetetive. - Players are so abysmal, that the chance to lose is too high, so you waste your time. Was so nice back then, could farm tons of damage but your team atleast played together with you. Now they barely do anything (includes all operations). Used to play OPs solo, but nowadays even 2 guys arent always enough to get a 5 star win out of it. Then i could play with 4-5 guys right away and dont have to deal with - For me, the rewards seem to be really bad lately. WG should give more XP, to attract more players again. Its like a spiral, which gets worse and worse all the time. Less players = more losses = more good players stop playing = which leads to more losses and so forth. And thats certainly how it feels now. Imo for that amount of damage, it feels really bad. Why should i play this? Even more so, if my team can just throw it by not going to the exit zone. Then i get 300 XP. Obviously farming good XP on T6 ships and having fun to play is a no-no for WG -
Maybe we can have 100 CVs in queue and break the game Can the game start CV only matches?

But imo Flamu has a point, that this game is about positioning and looking for opportunities (or basicly abuse them). I have the same problem pretty much. I like to get to the position which severely hurts the enemies. Sitting stationary, shooting at stationary bow on enemies all game long is boring af.

I totaly agree. Played 5 games yesterday, basicly all looked the same. Our division in the center, 90% from the other players went into all 4 corners. If i tried to do something from the middle, i got shot at from all angles by BBs. On one game on Mountain Range, 3 enemy ships just rushed through the middle trying to rush-kill Wooster and Mino (our div) while we trying to fight off a DD in B. Our CV ofc didnt help one bit by looking for the DD. Basicly it felt like, im there so idiots can play their corner game. I cant do anything at all, without getting shot at from both sides, but i still have to be there, because our CV let the enemy DD do what he wants. Wins the game, unfun as watching paint dry.

You can play the game as much as any other class: Get into a position. Which ofc means for a CV, hide behind an island probably. Other ships cant do anything either besides go into a position they want to. BBs are the only one which can get into action because they have the range to do so. But they need someone to spot for them, which basicly is a CV right now. CV cant spot from the get go -> BB cant get into action either. Gives more chances for DDs/CAs to get into a position where they can do something aswell.

Well... not really (alltho we used to have CVs in ranked before aswell). TX CVs is max 1 per side, and thats 12vs12. So if we have 7vs7, we shouldnt have a CV at all, otherwise it would be almost equal to having 2CVs in a 12vs12 battles. With 2CVs, you have 1 CV for 5 surface ships in randoms, in Ranked you have 1 CV for 6 surface ships... They basicly admitted the former is not good, because they change it, or atleast gonna limit the 4 CV games on TX.

Says the one, statshaming Unicums for having pink stats You are saying, they are peacocks (+ several other things), PURELY BASED ON THEIR STATS! How can you not see this, is beyond me.... Statshaming red stats = bad Statshaming pink stats = good Ofc we shouldnt dismiss anyones opinion based on what their stats are showing. But most of the time, its so far off that any real arguement would be futile (even tho it would be the correct way to argue about something), simply because the other one wouldnt even accnowledge it. So basicly, if you invalidate the other persons arguement, there is atleast a chance that other people reading those posts wont fall into a trap by believing the nonsense somebody wrote. And still, if you dont want to be statshamed, maybe it would be good to stop that behaviour yourself first -
Ofc i agree that AP Bombs were crap for the game, and needed to be removed. But the only option to not get blapped by them was, not to waste your DefAA. Yet, people did that anyway. I remember one Salem at the start of the game, when i was couple of km away: One TB squad comes close, he pops DefAA. Shortly after, AP bombers come in -> blap dead.

Imagine everyone would have been running AA builds And DefAA instead of Hydro... would have made it much harder for CVs. But they rather popped DefAA against TBs, then get nuked by AP bombers. Or have their DefAA baited in the first place I think the reason people didnt get triggered so much by RTS CVs was, because they only showed up in like every 10th game or something like that. It simply didnt bother that many people (well some as we know from forum threads^^). Didnt bother me either, since people were still somewhat playing the game. Now its like total shitshow. 5 games yesterday they were SO BAD. Its like playing with stationary bots
