I feel they balance ships around having good guns / bad armor, or bad guns / good armor. f.e. German ships have strong armor, but their guns suck (atleast they are worse than other BB guns basicly). Compared to lets say Yamato, which has awesome guns but a large Citadel. The better the guns are, the more good players will profit from this.

You know which is totaly funny regarding this after ive played a couple of Narai this week? Shoot a Duguay with DD AP/203mm CA AP/BB AP, and "easiest" citadels ive gotten was with my Maass I thought like, ah well, didnt even lead correctly -> 2 citadels instantly. Shoot with Myoko/Algerie its overpen heaven. Shoot with BB, its the same, unless you hit a bit below the waterline then you get a citadel. Works with Lyon because of the amount of shells tho... Basicly thats even a "flaw" of the low-midtier Frenchs Cruisers - they are better off showing broadsides getting overpenned, than being angled and getting citadelled

Gimmicks arent necessarily consumables Fast turret traverse, better armor in combination with fast DCP against HE shells, better dispersion (somewhat)... as i said, the biggest offset is having a citadel - and you can work around that. Musashi and Yamato have big Citadels, and they are very strong ships. Ye, as i mentioned, i dunno if all have good AA. But some of them do which i know of. T5 looks very strong overall, and the higher tiers because of the better armor. Vladivostok has a big bow true, but the midsection can bounce 460mm shells, no other T8 BB can do that (except germans, but they eat massive pen damage, and have pretty bad guns) You might refer to a specific CV - then its still not all CVs A couple of TBs usually dont hurt that much, flooding still hurts more imo (or im just unlucky with the flooding chance against me )

WG will probably do some retarded crap Making BB armor shatter IFHE HE is clearly the wrong way to go imo. WG wants to bring the CA <-> CL balance back in line, but thats not achievable by making BBs "invulnerable". CAs wont shatter the small caliber IFHE, but BBs will, and with reduced Firechance, BBs will take even less damage. So what do you shoot with 152mm HE? Other Cruisers ofc! Side-effect will be, that Harugumo would also shatter on 32mm BB plating... one more reason to farm Cruisers instead of BBs Unless they change all the armor plating, which somebody else mentioned in the leaked info... but who knows if they gonna do that. Having CA AP overmatch places on CL Armor might have been enough - no need to screw up everything without knowing what actually might happen. IFHE in general should just go, and change HE to not be 1 or 0 when it hits armor which it cant penetrate. Hit thicker armor = less damage maybe? Imo Moskva is much easier than Henri. Moskva has no torps and slow reload. Wiggle in and out so if he uses AP he would bounce. His HE DPM is too low compared to your own. Henri has Reloadbooster and torps. For a short time, he can dish out SO much DPM, and force you to full angle otherwise he can go back to AP. DM is the worst one, that i agree with. Improved pen angles and short reload means, you cant show too much side against it. Hindenburg i rate same as Moskva. Zao is "worse" because it has so accurate guns that his HE hurts like hell aswell, and trollarmor ofc.

Hightier IJN/US/German BBs have a bit better chance to shatter those HE shells. But UK/French BBs are free farm for a Wooster. In the end, it only shows that WG is unable to make balanced ships. I think downhill started when UK Cruisers were first introduced, with Smoke dakka, even if it was AP only. Every new line needs more gimmicks.

You definetely have to play DoY more AP focused that KGV. Many people play KGV as HE spammer only and get away with it - DoY has improved pen angles on AP, so make use of the. Maybe @Panocek is playing KGV differently, so its the same playstyle for him Back when i played the first games with DOY i didnt like it. But lately played a couple of games and worked better with more AP focus. You can citadel Cruisers at worse angles, and if you target weaker spots on BB armor, you get nice salvos on them too.

I think Honor will win every time except when they are at extreme difficulty. Then it starts from scratch again, so it might go 3 wins Honor - 1 win Glory and repeat.

This 500 points is a reasonable amount even if you play only a few games per day. Got 200+ tokens already, and i chose 2x Honor, then 2x Glory and never did more than the 500 points. Today took Honor again because they will win, which will yield me more tokens

Its also good to know which BBs cant overmatch your paper armor. Then avoid the others Me personaly i didnt like the HE spamming, i used that for DDs. Against broadsides, AP is much better.

Its no problem to lower skill gap, lower CV influence while CVs would it still be fun for the average player. The ones which would be hurting are the Unicum CV players ofc.
