  4. Basicly title says it all @MrConway @Crysantos Any news? Maybe some news regarding LMs for ships that dont have any? Any plans to change some of them? Why are they in 5th or 6th slot anyway, wouldnt it be better, to have them all in the same slot for better balancing? Incidently, basicly all my T10 Ships i have, have crap LMs (what are the odds?) - Montana Because of the way flooding/fire reduction works, its actually not as useful as i thought. If the boni would be added together, it might be more useful. - Conqueror Seems kinda lackluster, as you give up concealment for better rudder shift. Steering gears repair time on a BB seems pretty retarded. And Turret traverse... eh - Hindenburg Well crap, first one i got. Totaly worthless imo. Same as the extra heal they slapped on the Hindi, in return for the unneeded reload nerf. It doesnt matter, Hindi will die to HE Alpha, AP or Torpedo alpha WAY before those duration buffs would show any meaningful effect. That flooding duration was nerfed, also nerfed the value of that LM (if it ever had any). Rudder shift in exchange for Concealment? Then i could right away take the Steering gears mod. MB repair time - Minotaur In line for my 2nd LM, which i, ofc, wont use either. I lose concealment, which is bad. Get a tiny dispersion debuff at shells coming my way which is nothing you can measure anyway. Can still get devstriked - then what? Changes to smoke screen is retarded at best. For playing Radar mino, this LM is utter crap. - Wooster Potentially my 3rd LM, and surprise, equally crap as the other 2! More duration for DefAA: I disable my AA after i killed CV planes, to get it on CD faster 20% more duration is biggest waste ever. 10% Radar duration, which doesnt help one bit, because radaring gets harder since im losing 10% concealment in return. Useless. +20% Hydro... maybe the most useful treat of the 3, but losing concealment for that ?! - Z-52 Seems bad aswell. I dont think you can afford to lose any more concealment, and get a bit faster torpreload. They reload pretty fast anyway. Maybe someone would like to add more (Shima / YY?)? Used this as reference along with my own throughts. Most others are straight up better, or provide a significant buff which warrents losing something in return (f.e. HIV id put into that category, as you lose concealment for faster reload) You dont have any other way to buff your reload, except through modules (like HIV). But you can change the flooding/fire duration through modules, captain skills and Flags (like for Monty and Hindi).

    Ofc Concealment is "OP". You could use the same arguement about CE as a captain skill. But in the end, we will just have less and less possible builds to choose from, which would be a bit boring aswell. The problem is, that some ships dont need to give up their concealment module, and they have very strong LMs in the 6th slot as a bonus (Zao, Yamato, Moskva f.e.). Meanwhile, ships with LM in 5th slot get mostly screwed, because not only do they have to give up Concealment mod, but the LM itself is subpar at best. If you remove concealment module alltogether, than the other ships will still have a very good LM in 6th slot, and everything which is not a BB could use steering gears mod. BBs would need to take TAM... which is like uber crap

    Ofc, agree with Gearing, but thats like 1 in 20? They cant deny, that the 6th slot modules are generally better than the ones in 5th slot... Which ofc is totaly logic, because you lose concealment. Guess HIV is the only one, which puts 6th slot modules in 5th slot, while even getting worse concealment for more tradeoff. I think Salem needs one aswell. Conqueror is prolly not one of the worst once, agreed. Maybe it fits the tradeoff well, having a different playstyle than using Concealment. Id say, a couple of LMs already fit that description While others offer virtually nothing, only making the ship worse to play. Can always be worth to bugger them in between, see whats going on. They probably have some excel table, which shows, that LMs are used equally across all ships... ignoring, that the average player doesnt understand if they are usefull or not But it says "LEGENDARY" so must be gud.

    Are we going to have CV refund?

    Obviously WG shot themselves in the foot, by saying "Premium CVs are balanced" while the whole rework is not even finished! They were just greedy to sell them ASAP to cash in on as many people as possible. Global nerf change afterwards, since people already threw money at them. Might work shortterm, but longterm it should collapse, since people are being unhappy getting treated like that (atleast one would think that way).
  11. I think Alaska fits the Anti-Cruiser role the best from all of them because of the American AP shells. Kronshtadt tend to get so many overpens because of the fast shells. Not sure about Azuma, but its kinda squishy itself, paired with rather low HP. Properly angled, most other Cruisers should win the DPM fight. Thats why Alaska is the worst of them, since angling against it gets harder.
  12. I kinda wonder why Azuma is doing so well? [edited] not playing that ships, compared to Alaska? On the other hand, it seems to be related to the better HE shells, since Azuma has more damage but less average kills.

    Lately what ive been observing aswell (because of the CV rework i think) more people are playing with "sheep-mentality". If they have a couple of guys infront of them, they will just tag along. Then you can comfortably wipe your flank, and push over to the other. The biggest problem here is with cross-fire, which BB players tend to deny with this. I have no problem going alone somewhere, but others will follow me, so it doesnt matter where i go, as the enemies can just angle against everything at the same time If you want to know, if a 3x div is good or probably not so good, keep an eye on the lineup. 3x BB / 3x DD is 99% bad. Compared to having BB/CA/DD division is often capable. And i agree, that games which i win, but couldnt do much are boring. Ofc sometimes its nice to get a free win, especially if you had to hardcarry before, so its more relaxing. Playing 100% all the time feels really demanding imo, as you have to be fully aware not to make any mistake.
  14. Been trying with our division lately, to boost moral if game is looking bad. Just cheer for them if they get a kill, and throw something along the lines what you want them to do. Funny thing is, that even worked pretty much every time

    So enemy CV was collecting your flak bursts like candy Since when are we looking for noobs when we talk about balance? With the CV rework, having a lot of planekills in any ship became irrelevant. Its like devastating a full broadside cruiser with your BB at longrange because he is going full broadside all the time (with a bit of RNG blessing)
  16. We tried 10 minutes nicely. We were pinging the map while telling him where the DDs were. One was sitting behind an Island (Akizuki) while the other was spotting us (Lightning) most of the time. I cant understand why he didnt try to spot them? They were basicly ~12km away from him, maybe he was spotted im not sure. Well, ofc i do understand why he didnt spot them, since he was an utter noob after checking his stats (<100 PR, ~40% WR, ~12k average damage). He simply couldnt understand that it was benefitiary for him to help us. If we would have been average plebs, we would have died and so would he. Problem with the player? Problem with the class? Or both? Certainly the first, maybe the 2nd too, if you take into account, that he wasnt in danger as long as were alive... It ended with me, telling him what i thought of him giving him -1. At that point, i was sure anyway he wouldnt care or react to it. Ofc im not flaming anyone right away, i try 99% of the time nicely. Motivating them works much better than to flame them. If you insult them, they surely wont do what you ask them to
  17. We were begging our CV to spot 2 DDs which were hunting/spotting us all the time in one game today. It would have benefitted him, because with us dieing, he would have been the next in line. He rather flew across the ENTIRE MAP, to drop some ships which were already dieing to the ships on our other flank No reaction... nothing. What can you do with those mongs? Btw, it was Akizuki + Lightning vs our Hsienyang. And a Cleveland in the back, which was pushing ofc. I got dakka'd all the time in my Amagi by the Akazuki. No chance to stay or even get close. CV is just derping around

    But you do understand, why good players are against that, as they would be matched with potatoes _all the time_ !! How would that be fun? If you play in a 3x unicum division, its highly likely, that there are not many (if any) other unicums in the game. The result would be, that they get worst players available, and the other team consists of players in between the worst and best. You cant carry this. Ive observed the teams in the Ranked sprint season half a year ago, while we were playing 2x division. We usually had 4 bad guys with us, while the others consisted of 48-55% players. Not a chance to win that. The 45% players just evaporate without dealing any damage. Id just quit the game at that point. If WG would stuck those window lickers all the time with me, i would go insane. Not that its not bad enough already Sometimes you just wonder, how the [edited]can so many die so fast? Maybe its hard for me to observe this from a point of playing only 3x division, as we hardly get those roflstomps against us. But seeing how we have to perform well almost every game, i wouldnt call this by design. If anything, i already im getting potato teammates more often than the enemies have them
  20. Randoms where all kinda meh today, even tho won all of em. Hilarious last coop game, to get 11! XP needed for the last stage of daily mission Spawned at A. Everybody ran to C. Well, guess ill do it solo then (with a bit help from my CV). Started shooting the Roon, ofc Massa starts shooting from B. After that took the Wooster. then Iowa popped around at 5km. Rushed his broadside, gave him a couple of 10k AP volleys, then he was angled so had to use HE, but he started to be saturated

    Thats why i dont play with secondaries anymore. Imo a total waste of skillpoints. Go for guns/tanking, works well. I guess Monty would work better, but i dont have that, so i have to work with GK

    Actually he had pretty decent stats (>60% with CVs). I tried to turn the game around, it was 3 vs him, he had to die in order to win. But my Potato DD and BB didnt help, so we lost. Neither capped nor were they in a position to shoot him A potato CV would have most likely died, but he reversed staying fully angled against me.

    Ive been thinking about that aswell, but that might only help those tard BBs who are "NEED TO SURVIVE AT ALL COST". Maybe they wouldnt be so [edited]cowardly Eh... I was <8km in my Fiji when he was reversing from me. His only tactic was start plane, drop, F, next squad, Drop, F and so forth. It was so retarded Couldnt get any closer because of all the dodging. Funny thing, if he would have taken rockets, he would have killed me 3 times faster, but he tried with TBs couple of times which i could dodge.

    I think even small adjustements might help. Ofc everyone can have a different pov about survivability, but CVs shouldnt have 75%, while others are at 25-40%. Everything about 40% is imo not right. The major problem is, if you get to a CV(s), the time or points are already ticking, so most of the time that saves them, and i hate it. Ive had so many CVs survive with <20% HP, because the game ended. Just let me kill them Good idea to bring the CV survivability down I dont agree 100%. Ive had above average CV players, that i couldnt kill because they threw so much crap at me. He couldnt have done it if the change i mentioned.
