Well, i cant prove it, but i have been looking at top players midway stats on a more regular basis. And even tho WG changed this and that, their average damage was constantly at 200k atleast through the last weeks/3 months. Ofc i cant look at how those people perform right now, if they arent playing midway^^ And while technically you are right (i agree) that CVs are a different class now, but basicly with their damage dealing role nothing much has changed. One might argue, their emphasis is more on damage dealing now than ever before, but if thats true, then why are bad players failing harder than before? Best arguement is, that its no longer point and click damage farming, and evading flak needs atleast a functioning brain. But i still stand by my initial point: I dont see that there is less skill gap than before. Best players are not worse than with RTS CVs. Worst players are not more usefull than before, they might not bring their team down as much as before, but it could be, that CVs need "more" work to have a high influence (cant judge that myself tho). So basicly, best players can still be equally good, but more people overall have less influence than previously, so bad players dont seem as bad (WR) than before.

Top 3 Midway player, last 3 weeks His overall average damage is 203k So anything changed? Nope Haku was the one being abused (thats why i didnt take it). Even if CVs have been nerfed since 0.8.0, i havent observed any decline at the top players. They have been dealing 200k damage pretty much constantly throughout. Most likely, because they got more experienced, so nerfs didnt hit them as hard. Ofc without nerfs, they might be dealing more damage by now (if thats somehow possible).

You can pretty much get one shotted in smoke if you arent careful Also, i cant quite follow the idea behind this comparision. Minotaur is stronger, quite frankly because it needs to be ? Playing DD and having a good influence on the game is probably not easy in the current meta. Then again, playing Cruiser and having a good influence on the game is not easy either so... especially if its a floating citadel, which people like to shoot.

You missed that he even lies about plane losses. All TBs were shot down. 6 DBs were also lost. Also, the GK had basicly no AA support. New CVs would drop that GK even if there were 2 AA Cruisers in the vicinity Probably wouldnt even take much longer either, considering losing an entire squad gives no penalty to starting your next squad - unlike his TBs, which were off for 60 secs or so.

Railguns with shorter-fuse AP, a bit better AP angles (between normal and US), shells need less armor to arm, good armor all around. On the other hand, if you get its broadside it will easily eat massive citadels. And DPM is rather bad too, so you need to get broadside shots.

Best bet for Stalin is to use HE aswell Basicly 1v1ed (Salem) him. But i got shot at by Zao couple of times and the Gearing afterwards. Ofc they had much better fireluck ontop of that Stalin itself is no problem tho.

More angled should be fine. Moskva can Cita Stalin at 19km (Forlorn just told me he did it).

We tested it (out of curiosity and for CBs): Wooster can Citadel Stalin flat broadside at 5,6km. Ofc if he angles, you need to be closer.

Play coop or ops = people will like you Had such a hilarious battle in coop with RTS CVs once, where i went battle CV midrush on 2 Brothers, and killed several ships there. Team was having a blast. And playing OPs, got usually a lot of compliments and "well done CV". Good ol days with old CVs

I was thinking about that, but kinda lost track which dispersion it had (so much stuff going on - cant remember everything ) I think it has BC dispersion (224m @ 21km looks like Graf spee/Alaska/Stalin)
