    So if they move CVs further away from the caps, and other ships closer to the caps, than the difference might aswell stay the same. So can i demand unlimited range for all ship guns + torpedoes aswell? [edited]WG [edited][edited]. How retarded are they... oh CV cant have 1 minute where he does nothing, other ships have even more time where they do nothing Ive had games with Cruisers where i didnt shoot for up to 8 minutes, because all enemies ran away from the flank which i decided to go to, and it took me several minutes to catch up to a place where they wouldnt just focus me to death. I cant just fly over on the other side of the map and do my damage. Best is to just quit this shitshow... now that CB season is over, might just do that anyway. Was the only thing which actually kept me playing for the time being
  2. Remove the extra heal which was compensation for the screwover reload nerf, and buff AP penetration instead. That might do the trick. Id even trade the HE pen for better reload. HIV does it better anyway.... so lets have glorious AP

    Crazy people? As i said, i dont advice others to go for it, but ill stick to spotter plane. I feel i get more value out of it, blapping hiding cruisers than protecting myself a little bit more from CVs. Most of the time, CVs prefer other targets than me anyway. Also this is done to play divisions, so i do have a Cruiser basicly every time with me, where the CV has to go through first But you do have CE right? I mean, even if you are at 18km, you should get undetected in between. And most ships have like 12-18 secs shell time to hit you at that range, so unless you are sitting still, you shouldnt get farmed to death. Maybe you can post a replay, and we can tell you what you should do differently. The biggest issues ive had, when i tried to play with my secondaries. Those were the time, i actually got farmed to death by Cruisers hiding somewhere. With tankbuild, ill just rush them and blap them Results justify the means. If id feel, that spotter gives me less benefits than a fighter plane, id swap. But currently i dont see it.

    If someone has <50% or barely 50% in every tier, i wouldnt call it sealclubbing if he keeps on playing low-midtiers. Clearly he doesnt have the basics right, so it would be beneficial to play more of the lowertiers so he can learn to play properly. There is no reason to suck at hightiers and complain about your teams... If you want to play hightiers without knowing how to play - fine, but then dont whine about it

    Well, thats me being weird i guess For my personal benefit, i have more value out of a spotter plane than from a fighter plane. But i can understand why for most players the fighter is a better choice. I refuse to take it, i even play Musashi with spotter plane Maybe one of those "dont do as i do, do as i say things" No. The dispersion will get worse the further you shoot. Well, in that case the other ships werent 20km away were they? Since most ships cant even shoot that far, and if they can, you shouldnt take that much damage. Alltho i agree, having a tank build helps if you get into the range of an HE spammer (but they most certainly dont have that range). I really focus Cruisers when i play BB. Get rid of them, makes it easier for you to push, as their HE ignores your angling. BBs will fall after that.

    I barely get the shot out with reload mod and 406mm guns. The DM is moving behind the Island. And i devstrike him aswell. It doesnt matter that you arent always shooting when you have reloaded. However, in certain situations it can make the difference between sinking a ship and not dealing any damage. How often do you shoot between 20,6 and 24km? If the answer is "often" then id say, its a problematic playstyle, as it shouldnt happen. Btw thats not why i play with spotter plane, but to shoot behind islands or inside smoke. The Salem was sitting behind an Island moments before But if you want to shoot 24km, you can use spotter plane for that aswell. Should cover the time it takes you to move a couple of km closer. There isnt a ship in game, in which i would want to shoot 25km. It just doesnt make any sense. If i can do it - fine, most of the time however, it doesnt make any difference. It certainly makes less difference than having a couple of second faster reload.

    - Dont play Shima - Dont play Solo - Dont play TX - Go back to low-midtiers - Play ships that fit your playstyle - Git gud = profit Your survivability isnt that bad, but your average damage is really low for most ships. So it seems, you are too passive most of the time. In order to win more games, you need to be more active, deal more damage, kill important targets, try to tank when you play BB.

    http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1000000000100010100001000100000119 Thats what im running + the anti-fire/flood modules in 2nd/4th slot. And ofc Anti-fire/flooding flags. You get only 1 fire on your superstructure, instead of the usual 2, which is pretty normal with GK since everyone can/will hit that. Fire duration gets almost cut in half, and even a flood runs only for 23 secs. DoTs are your worst enemies imo, as they deal a lot of damage, and are rather easy to apply. HE Alpha itself is not that bad, and you can bounce all AP shells too.

    KGV- AP is bad?

    Prevents you from getting citadelled, as the shell will bounce off from the citadel deck. German BBs are very unlikely to get citadelled while being broadside. German Cruisers have lidl Turtleback, it helps a bit when they are close range, but on longrange they are easily getting devastated.

    Also if you think "he has to turn out" and then you shoot accordingly or throw torps, and the result is total miss because noob suddenly turns in but dies 100% guaranteed
  12. Well i guess, playing DD never grew on my. They were kinda fun at lowtiers, and when i got to T6 i basicly stopped.

    I see the problem: You expected your team to do the right thing (or anything at all). You can forget about that pretty much, and the faster you get over it, the better for your sanity

    Took me also some time to get it the way it suits my own playstyle. Not sure what you have skilled tho, maybe it depends on that. First i had sort-off secondary build with CE. Didnt feel that good. After some time, i switched to full tank build, and then it started to work. Its probably not the best choice in this meta tho, as many have said. But i have played like 25-30 games since 0.8.0 in it, and results were good enough. I think the hardest part is to know when to push. As people like to shoot you, since even angled they can get nice damage on you. And Cruisers like to farm you with HE, because you are big and sluggish.

    KGV- AP is bad?

    I couldnt stand shooting HE only/most of the time after a couple of battles. Usually 2013 damage and no fires (what else?)... So i started shooting AP, and used HE against DDs and angled BBs. Most Cruisers are easy to citadel, because of the short-fuse AP. Which also means, BBs are very unlikely to get citadelled. German Cruisers (like Yorck) in your example, do have turtleback armor, so it might be, that your shell detonates before it can reach the citadel.
  17. Yeah, thats also a problem, that it includes all RTS Data i think. Haku was broken AF... midway is too strong aswell, but not nearly the same level imo. Says everything, that there were atleast 2 >500k damage games within the first week of new Haku

    MM usually doesnt have enough >60% WR players to put them in both teams. So whats gonna happen then? Only because you are good, you have to sit in queue, probably waiting for a Unicum div to be matched against your own? That so many players - especially in hightiers - suck [edited], is not the fault of the good players.

    US/German CAs T8+ can bounce 380/381mm BB AP. 27*14,3 = 386,1 Dunno, maybe you wrote it weirdly (or i understood it the wrong way), but i guess we mean the same thing They basicly killed Hindi with the reload nerf, while buffing the direct competetion Zao (Torps) and HIV (reloadbooster) ... Currently i dont have any reason for Hindenburg. In CBs its total [edited], and even in randoms there are better ships to pick from (even CLs with their AA).

    It just T9, it will be in TX games all the time. Try not to be completely bow in, as it makes it easier for the BB to get straight into your citadel. Little angle so your belt can bounce, makes it hard to get into the frontal Citadel. Yeah well, nothing you can do about it. You can play division, removes 2 yoloers from your team FTFY Roon can bounce all T7/8s except IJN/US/Nelson/Hood/RU BBs* (*afaik they have >400mm caliber?) Can also bounce T9 French BBs and Bourgogne.

    I didnt particulary like Roon, but my stats are ok-ish, considering it was my first T9 Cruiser back then. Usually id say, try to use it on a flank, so you have an easier time protecting your broadside, and you can use all your guns, while also closing the distance. I feel, German Cruisers are especially valuable lategame, when they can even push BBs (alltho Hindenburg is ofc better). But since we have all seeing eye, aka CVs now, im not sure if that works as good. And back when i played my Roon, meta wasnt as campy as it is now. Knowledge is king (as always), since it will enable you to know, which BBs you can bounce with your armor. F.e. a lone Bismarck? Just go for it, if it lets you. Id say these days, longrange HE spam early game, try to only farm BBs if you have nothing else. Lategame, look for openings where you can get broadsides or torpedo ambushes.

    One of my first Hindenburg games... literally wanted to quit the game that day. We had 11 vs 8 ship advantage (or something like that) and 2 Caps. And we had 970 points. Then it all started. One by one they fed themselves to the campers, while we were 30 secs away from winning several times. In the end, even our CV yoloed to die. I will never forget that one, was one of the most horrible games ever

    So basicly you want the game to be rigged against you, in case your team is winning, by having worse RNG f.e.? That sounds like fun It cant be 100% balanced. Even sometimes best players die early because of bad luck (detonation from random torphit f.e.). Then what? They didnt even want to accnowledge that, back when one team could have 1 DD/BB more while others had 2 Cruisers. They said, everything was fine. I was heavily under the impression, that 2 Cruisers are simply worse than 1 BB+DD. Luckily, they changed MM in that regard.

Something is weird with that 200k average yamato guy... havent seen that name ever before in those topstats, and i was wondering lately when someone posted topstats from HIV and Wooster, and he was 1st there aswell... But that account doesnt seem to exist anymore (banned? ) anyway, most TX ships are more in the range of 160k average damage. Conqkek gets more, because it tends to farm HE damage (accompanied by having less avg kills). HIV is basicly the same, since it got the reloadbooster. It can farm fires "at will" and punish broadsides with AP better than other Cruisers. Getting 200k games sometimes is not impossible, but basicly having 200k all the time is what best CV players do. They dont do 300k and 100k - its 200k literally every game. I think they limit their own damage dealing capability because they kill ships that fast Ive also had several 200k games with Musashi, but average is still "only" 136k.
  25. I think you can avoid that by not entering the bay too early. If the DD has time to change course (probably gets triggered by something entering the bay), then it will. But after it passes the island, it will go around. Thats why i always like to do that myself
