I think being AFK is sometimes less bad than what some teammates produce. Having an AFK in my team, i know that we are one guy less, so can play around it. Having a DD ahead of me, which island camps or smokes the enemy is worse than having an AFK guy

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Still, average stats agree that its basicly the worst TX BB currently. Monty isnt far away either, but when someone argues, that Monty needs a buff, then you can go the same way for GK.

And whats so weird about that? A T8 ship dealing T10 amounts of damage would be broken, because it would be paired with another T8 ship on the enemy team. (thats why imo Musashi is probably OP, as its a T10 ship on T9) -

Thats what Shift+x does. It locks the guns on the spot you are targeting. Or i still dont get what you actually want -

I really think, they went with the worst possible way of "nerfing" a ship, which they knew the community wouldnt like. Heck, i dont have the GC, but i was against moving it to T6 aswell. The tier should stay the same, but change what is necessary to make it balanced, i would fully support that. -

You were talking about good CV players carrying their team. I showed, it doesnt matter, same amount of games with basicly same WR. Bad players dont carry their team, so looking at average stats is irrelevant when looking at WR. Old and new CVs have the same potential, whether people can use it is another question. But its possible. -

where is the difference? I believe @El2aZeR said, the worst part is having a 2nd CV teammate which sucked [edited]... which ofc didnt happen before at T8+. Now you can get 2 T8 CVs, so that might have a negative impact on Super Unicum CV players, as he cant neutralize the enemy CVs, if they are somewhat competent. -

Eh what? What are you talking about? 200k what? credits? Apples? Oranges? You might have had 200k damage with 2,3k base XP, most likely the 2 ships below you didnt even get near that damage you had. And the enemies surely didnt have 300k You might want to clear up what you are trying to say. Well first of all, one game barely proves anything. CVs could have been stupid (even tho they are 1+2. XP), yesterday had a NC border hugging, shooting HE, killing the CV which fed himself to him and probably even getting some nice chunks on a DD which yoloed him, was easily first in XP table, while in the end, he turned full broadside vs 2 last BBs and ending the game. I would even say, if that guy would have been more into the action earlier, we could have won the game. So, having lots of XP isnt always a good indicator either, while the Ranger has nice stats, the lex is a tomato. And then its also being T8 as toptier on a "smaller" map like North, where fighting mostly happens at closer ranges, compared to lets say open maps like Okinawa. Should i also showcase these and say "oh its so much fun playing DD when CVs are present, you can do awesome" (1st game was 1 T8 CV + being radared like 4 times from Kron and Belfast, 2nd game was vs 2 CVs, one of them even TTT)... no its not true. You can have nice games, no arguement there. Can be fun too, but at the same time, you get those games which are horrendously unfun. I barely even play DDs, even less so because of new CVs. I played 30~ T7 DD games since rework (grind Gadjah, rest was Z-39) which are strong DDs for their tier. Still majority of the games was not fun, mostly lowtier vs T8 CVs. You can hardly commit somewhere, if the CV gets an idea that you are there. At the same time, if you go somewhere else, flank might collapse and you lose the game. Doomed if you do, damned if you dont. Also about the funpart: They could have had fun previously to that, of after depending what you do to them. If you get farmed by an HE spammer, retaliation can be a devstrike. Retaliation against a CV? Almost never happens, game is over before, or he just kills you, since attacking a CV usually ends in a non-stop attack wave from him. Unless you are a BB ofc, which can safely hit that CV. Depending what you play and where you are, combined with what the enemy CV wants to do, the entire game for you is "what must i do to not get spotted or farmed by the CV?" which is absolutely unfun in my opinion. Since ships are more predictable in their movement, you can make a move based on where they are doing, while trying to make a move when a CV is there, can get you killed because he can be there in 20 seconds. -

And in your book this makes for a fun gaming experience !? Literally you cant do anything, cant shoot nor torp in a game about shooting stuff. As i said long time ago: Playing a Cruiser with horrendously broken AA without guns wouldnt be fun to play either... Occasionally playing like that can be fun, but everytime? I dont see it... there is no adapting, adapting means, play another game. -
Ofc i agree, Monty guns arent bad. Good accuracy with 12 guns. dont have monty, but since they just have to be better than GK guns, i know it must be good

I guess, all Premiums are OP then Or Techtree ships are just UP... Yeah, thats the issue. Not to mention Cruisers with less AA get so easily shredded by rockets, because you are still pretty big and they pen you everywhere -

I was wondering about that, i expected the planes to get evaporized every second Since when are Cruisers the class which wreck everything in their path? Why change your opinion know? You said, Cruisers are supposed to give AA cover, they cant even [edited]defend themselves, let alone anything else with their range harcapped these days (and continous longrange DPS being garbage). If you have been playing Cruisers lately, you cant escape being attacked by a CV. He might lose his squad eventually, but you will die sooner or later, and being spotted doesnt help either... Well, obviously CV players are supposed to have fun all the time. ZOOMZOOM BUMM DAKKA playstyle from second 1 to minute 20. Cruisers? Who the [edited]cares about them? Make them use all AA skills... dealing 0 damage with your shells? Bah, you have GLORIOUS AA NOW WHICH SHREDS PLANES ... AA which might prevent you from getting attacked a 2nd time from one squad No CV in game? CV not attacking you? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -

Well, so if Cruisers are supposed to do less damage (which can be fine) they need to have other redeeming qualities, like AA. And not getting crap on by CVs easily. -
Repu has "worse" armor, atleast looking at plating (not citadel). Every Cruiser can farm a Repu easily, while Montana is mostly immune midsection to HE shells, except german CA and Henri. And ofc Yamato/musashi bounce too on Montanas midsection, while 32mm is free pen everywhere.

Its not even a comparision, its a different league. And T8 CVs can crap a T8 Cruiser to death even with one strike at a time. The reload of a Cruiser is simply irrelevant when it comes to real Damage output. Bombs deal 10k (HE) or more (AP), Rockets deal 5k+ easily. AA works best if the CV doesnt strike you, but you get "cross-flak" which the CV has a harder time evading. But CV going for you is no chance, as you cant kill the squad before it gets atleast one drop off. We need Panic back with DefAA active, atleast in a small area around. Well, they do win on average damage -
I only play division as you know basicly Average players get worse, CVs are what they are, you cant play solo and be sane

wow... so you agree with OP and say, Atlanta needs AA buff because its a Cruiser which cant defend itself from a strike Because a Baltimore cant do it everytime? Most of the time, the engagement will be at longer ranges, and the result will be much less damage, if any at all, since dodging ship shells actually work. I want a Baltimore which deals 27500 damage with every salvo Btw just had a T8 CV strike my Baltimore through DefAA sector reinforcement + M-AA with Rockets for 7,1k... yup, thats balanced, nothing i can do about it. Couple of times i would just die. Maybe when ships start to fly, we can counter CVs -
On what experience do you base this assumption? Anyway that aside, i dont think so. What does GK have in comparision? Guns are worse, huge, supposed to get close in this meta is mostly bad idea. Monty atleast can get away with not going close. Improved pen angles on a BB will crap on Cruisers - we dont need any more of this. If a ship shatters a lot, giving it better pen angles will result in even more shatters, as its lacking penetration. But in that case, the armor will be even thicker...

Over my dead body Stats since 29.1. Ontopic Just average stuff basicly. Had a bad moment with Massa, when a Kremlin passed by and i was like "hehe, devstrike coming in".... 1 citadel WTF?! but 8 Pens, im not even sure how thats possible. Only thing, my turrets couldnt go that low, despite me aiming at the citadel. Baltimore is really weird for me, i dont get any outstanding games, its just 70-90k all the time, which isnt bad, but feels kinda lackluster to not get awesome games out of it. When average actually is what you do every game -
