Are you grinding (or will grind) USS Tier IX DD "Benham" for 800 "Fuel Tokens"?
DFens_666 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
If you have time to spare, and if you manage to have fun in that spare time then you cant put a pricetag on it. If you have to sacrifice your time to get it done... well, then probably yes, its not free anymore. -

I thought about playing GK 420s in Ranked, for extra pen. Less ships around = less opportunities so you dont miss the faster reload. In randoms i play 406s, sometimes the pen feels a bit lackluster, but just pick your targets correctly. Recently ive managed >150k average damage, even overtook my Musashi in average damage when playing 3x division (my GK stats are skewed, first played secondary solo/2x division and it sucked). Played full tank build in 3x division and it rocks. High damage + game winning pushes = @Mohammad_S__AbuSafieh Personaly i didnt like Bismarck. It always felt infuriating to play it. Alltho i did play it with secondaries. For me, viable secondary builds end at T8, and they are very powerful when toptier, but lack carrying when lowtier (this is my personal stand, before others crucify me for it ) Bismarcks redeeming feature is its tankyness, not its guns. I prefer NC every day tho. FDG... was worse. I couldnt... maybe now, that it got buffed and play it with a tankbuild, could work out. But i wont play it ever again. It will never compete with ships like Musashi or Missouri. GK is good imo. Its the only TX BB i have, but i do well in it. Many people say, its weak and needs buffs, i disagree. 12 guns even with not the best dispersion still wrecks Cruisers like nothing. Once you get rid of them, you can have fun with the enemy BBs. Yamato? Just bow in rush it -> Easy 60k damage I mowed through 2 DDs, 3 BBs and a Cruiser Conqueror is your biggest threat with its thermonuclear HE, but soon it will have a Citadel

Narai carry -
I dunno... Wooster rushing down a Monty? Sounds intriguing (or heck, how about any T8-9 BB ) Probably not do against GK tho, because secondaries.

New French DDs event... Who s gonna bother with it?!

If i can do it by not playing everyday, then maybe. But im not interested in the DDs anyway. And even less for a T5 DD -

Cossack was "bad" as you had to atleast put 1€ in to get it, but this still feels kinda worse. Atleast with Cossack, i could decide if i dont want to play, now i have to play every day. It is at a point where it gets annoying, and ive been lucky last couple of days to farm Operations with a group of ppl who are feeling the same way. Atleast its 100x more fun than Randoms/Coops/savage battles -
Yeah, but that got offset mostly by longer radar ranges. As a DD, you can spot them more easily, but you still cant reach them with torps, since those didnt get changed. I mean, the supposed radar rework wasnt really a nerf. Overall i believe, the change was unnecessary.
-
They already tested LoS radar and they didnt like it. Which is good, because LoS radar is bad for everyone. "Doesnt work IRL" is always a bad arguement for game balancing. To the other proposal: How you wanna react in 1 sec or 2? Some people have rendering times for several seconds, not sure how that would even work out. Also: Radar got reworked couple of months ago. I dont think, WG sees any need to do more. Even the Radar "nerf" wasnt really one anyway, i think it was just to make the community shut their mouths

For CLs, you wouldnt need IFHE because " Plating of bow and aft ends of cruisers with a caliber of main guns lower than 200 mm is made thinner than before: 13 mm for tiers VI - VII, 16 mm for tiers VIII - X; "
-
Yamato: Good accuracy (even more so with the LM), but mostly using frontturrets only, usually more stationary than other BBs, easiest BB to punish, biggest guns in the game which let you punish angled ships. Montana: 12 guns with good accuracy. One of the smaller calibers tho, so you lack overmatch capability against Cruisers (will get worse if planned changes to plating will come through) GK: 12 guns, not so good accuracy. Doesnt get citadelled easily, but takes massive penetration damage due to its size. Very durable against HE shells, so quite tanky overall. Can be played with secnodaries. Same caliber guns as Montana which lack overmatch. Repub: Fast and guns are accurate, also good reload because only 8 of them. Vulnerable to HE shells. Kremlin: Good accuracy shortrange, supposedly bad accuracy longrange (doesnt feel like it tho). Very tanky against AP when angled, and HE too. Has limited amount of DCPs, but with shorter cooldown. Has a citadel when showing too much broadside. Conqueror: Will get changed soon, will get a Citadel. Has the best repair party. Very strong HE, but vulnerable to HE shells in return aswell.

Not a mistery to me

Eh... If you make proposals, that would make the game more enjoyable for everyone, but the noobs come in and bash you "you want only to make your own tool more OP / you want to kill everything without retaliation" then i dont really care for them. Experienced that in 2 different games already. End result is: Good players become stronger, while noobs are getting worse ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Then you have something like WG, which does what they want anyway to milk the customers at every corner. Perfect example with CVs. Call them almost balanced, release Premium CVs, then let the nerfs role in. I mean, im not suprised by that, im surprised by the people that didnt expect it. Time and time proven again. I have no hope whatsover, that WG will make any change that the community proposed or wanted. We are half a year in after the Concealment "bug" got fixed, while 90+% of the community on ALL servers wanted it. Yet, WG says "its not one of our top priorities" ... After promising us at first within the next couple of patches, but latest 0.8.5 iirc. When will we get it? 2025 - year of the concealment change? Guess they are just busy trying to get the next coup in to earn more
-
You think he uses premium consumables? Would be the exception i guess
-
Not only that, but it will increase skill gap between players on all other classes too. Good players will have a huge advantage by minimap spotting compared to bad players. You can even shoot by minimap if you want to, thx to the Marker However at this point, i dont even care about it anymore. Lets just farm the noobs, they dont deserve it any better For me personally, i dont mind CVs that much atm. As we all know, there arent as many around anyway. But i fear WG will change something if they want to sell new premium CVs again
-
Im not denying that (thats why i was against it first), but i believe it would make the experience for Surface ship players more bearable, while also giving CVs something back in return.
-
Ofc CVs can spot for themselves - just not for the others (minimap only)

There is a german CC streaming every Friday/Monday playing often with 2 other CCs... one of them is really bad, and he always whines how every ships sucks. His comment to Siegfried was "needs 3 sec reload" Naturally, he almost never uses anything else than HE. Funny sidenote: He hated RTS CVs. With new CVs, he was also whining at first, but after trying it out, it basicly became his main class up till 0.8.4 id say. Naturally, he sucked in them aswell (reversing to the mapborder, dropping DDs with AP bombs and whatnot...)
-
At first I didnt think so either, because im against different mechanics for different classes, but after some thinking, i realized it actually would be pretty good. Spotting delay could also work, depending on the time. But everyone who thinks, spotting is not important, doesnt understand this game very well.
-
You do understand you are talking to the wrong people here, right? If you want others to git gud, you should be able to produce yourself
-
Ive wrote several times before: Remove spotting from CVs, it will solve many problems. Also you wont need to lower CV damage output to a bare minimum. But Cruisers need to be the AA platforms then aswell. You cant have CVs crap all over them like they could / (can). DDs might be able to dodge CVs reliably, if its not too easy to take 1/3 or 1/4 of their HP with one strike. However, thats not the issue if they get shot by half the enemy team at the same time they try to deal with the CV. Cruisers on the other hand, have problems getting into position in the first place if they are constantly spotted. Also being spotted all the time simply doesnt work for some of them. So if Cruisers can get closer, they can protect their DDs with AA too. BBs usually dont care if they are spotted or not, so from their pov it doesnt matter if CV spots them or not. But we should have less BBs with strong AA, especially when they come with fighterplanes. Instead of removing spotting, they tweak everything else Whether they can or not, is not an issue. Reality is: They cant really. Average DD damage is proving that. Unless you look for the OP Kamikazes, which actually can get several devstrikes per game because of their OP torps.
-
No, not anymore. Thats what i wrote earlier. You can see in the OPs screenshots. He could only be matched against T8, because the MM had another faildiv with a T5 BB to match against their faildivision. Without that other division, he would have seen T7 max (but never T4) If you do a faildiv with T3-4 you could see T5, if there is a similiar fail div in queue.

Everybody dead - we won. The last enemy died a tiny bit earlier than we lost our last
-
From personal experience could be correct. Alltho i feel, i need to put in more effort as a BB in tight games. Because punishing ships is still down to RNG, while a DD can often just spot. And getting rid of average DD players on the enemy team is not that hard Kill DD -> the others will retreat.
