Im still a Cruiser main tho, but ive been playing more BBs lately due to grinding and often i "have to" play the BB when someone picks TX in my division. Could also be the lack of TX DD on my part

The max dispersion is always based on the maximum range. Gascogne has more range than the german BBs, thus it shows a bigger max dispersion. French and german BBs use the same dispersion formula, so they are equal at same ranges. However, Gascogne has 1,9 sigma compared to Bismarcks 1,8. Sigma makes the shells group more towards the center of the elipse, so you might hit slightly more shells (but a difference of 0,1sigma is not that much anyway)

I did get a Bow citadel on a KGV once playing Nagato... Most you can pen them everywhere. Now you can citadel them everywhere aswell. Which, as i mentioned above, isnt really an issue for the T8+ BBs, as they have 32mm plating stopping all shells but Yamasushi. But for the T7s you have 2 dozen BBs which can bow citadel you (maybe even more ?) Id rather have them revert the extra heal, but give KGV/DOY better plating/Deck/Bow armor maybe.

adding to that, that every T8-9 BB, most T7 BBs and even some T6 BBs can overmatch DOY/KGV bow armor for free citadel I guess the change is mostly a buff for the T8-10 BBs, but just a nerf for the T7s...

You hit the Superstructure, which probably was already partially saturated. Im pretty sure your last salvo hit the Hindenburg in the aft section, which wasnt saturated (at that time, he already did use his heal aswell), thus you got full pen damage. Superstructures dont need much damage to be saturated, you can test it yourself in the training room.

Hmm... i dont have the Vanguard, but he is clearly looking at the frontal part above the CItadel, which cant be reached unless you overmatch the deck-bow armor (also since its highlighted in lighter green compared to the deck). And it would say "deck" not Athwartship.

I know i used to use it on the old Gnevny, maybe that was before it got buffed. And i used it on Fushun too. DDs dont lose that much from the reload nerf anyway.... Id consider it on IJN CAs, but they already have horrible reload

Just been thinking about this lately, since both ships are currently being played by CCs/STs and you can see them play them on Twitch and YT. The 457s Conqueror never had special dispersion, despite having only 4x2 guns. Now, Ohio is coming and it gets BC dispersion because... Georgia has it? Or we can say, once again WG just "balances" their ships based on other ships (Thunderer based on Conqueror, Ohio based on Georgia), which doesnt make any sense whatsoever. From what ive seen, Ohio is clearly the one which is in need of a nerf. But having 2 ships in testing which are very similiar, while one is just better in literally every way says a lot imo.

Imo a waste of 2 slots. You only gain 7% reload and 2% turret traverse. Id prefer the Reload mod in 6th slot combined with Dispersion mod in 3rd slot. I only feel that turret traverse is necessary, if you outturn your guns while turning... thats annoying. If you turn your turrets slower with a BB from one side to the other... You can hardly measure how usefull it would be, if you would be a few seconds faster.

I never understood the need, that some modules have downsides aswell... i think its just retarded. f.e. the main battery mod 2. Clearly, turret traverse is OP, but having a bit better dispersion is not. Guess WG cant screw with hard buffs (faster turret traverse) compared to RNG mechanics (better dispersion) Or Main battery mod 3 and torptubes mod 3. The latter one is imo totaly rediculous, as it makes the game more frustrating to play. You shouldnt permanently lose any of your main armaments anyway... As for the first one: Its like WG wants us to use range mod

You do know its the regular T9 silver techtree DD? Only thing is, its early access now, and will be released with 0.8.8. into the techtree. People throwing cash at wargaming for a silver ship... i guess WG is just genius company, milking its customers at every single opportunity The first 4 rewards are much better than the following ones. Dont cost anyhting, but give decent rewards. Others cost 1000 dubloons and contain questionable rewards imo.

Ill use this one: When T7s have to do the work in T9 MM. First, both Iowas and the Azuma were not moving for a good 3+ minutes. Then they sat at >20km from all enemies. Leaving me and the Amagi mostly tanking (luckily, they also took shots against @ForlornSailor Fiji and other stuff). Oh but when the enemies started to get low HP.... then was the time for our toptier heroes to shine and grab those hard 5k HP kills Did i mention, they mostly sat behind islands aswell? Also we were lucky, that the enemies just sat up camp at A and didnt move. And they were mostly shooting HE at me (even the Missouri...)

Yeah, things tend to get worse at hightiers... Not a lot of movement around at hightiers, as its very punishing to overextend. Get into a Cruiser spamming HE from behind an Island is not that nice at hightiers. Dreadnought BBs have the armor to withstand Cruiser HE, and Cruisers have no armor to withstand BB AP. On hightiers, there are Cruisers which can bounce BB AP on larger areas of there armor, and they tend to have a higher RoF ontop of that. The biggest issue with some midtier BBs is, that they got powercreeped by other BBs. Especially the older lines like US and IJN... which you seem to be playing (NY, Kongo). Your performance in same tier Cruisers is not better than your BBs, so i dunno why you want to buff BBs even further.

Dire situation, enemy has basicly all caps, surrounded by enemies. GK: Hold my Beer 4 minutes, 100k damage and 1,5million potential later i mowed through 2 DDs, a Cruiser and an almost Full HP Yamato. My team got rid of the Musashi aswell. Tasty Cruisers Now something for real: BBs arent weak, and they for sure arent useless. A lot of people just cant play them properly, so they are useless the way they play them. You need BBs to give you map control, because most ships will not dare to push against a BB, not even BBs themselves. At the same time, BBs need help from DDs and Cruisers aswell, which is good. You arent supposed to be a one-man show, and still BBs can do a lot of stuff by themselves aswell, as seen in my first 2 screenshots.

Ive seen it too, but initial release notes for Ohio stated "same Repair party as Massa" which would mean normal 0,5%. Unless they already changed it...? I expect it even to be fully intentional. Showcase Ohio as OP as possible, then nerf it. But CCs already uploaded their vids to YT, so average bob wants the Ohio. Then release it more balanced into NTC, but since everyone wants it, they will reset their shiplines, possibly giving money to WG. Guess you are right.. havent looked exactly at the values, as its situational, and i feel doesnt matter too much which one has better AA. Thats exactly the problem... but just shows: WG no brain

Ohio is supposed to be obtainable through the NTC along with Colbert. And i guess, Thunderer might be 2nd TX silver ship like Kremlin/Slava... but who knows about that one.
