I think you remember the old Fuso A hull with 13km range and 18km detection. That got removed like a couple of years ago already

So if one side loses all their DDs (which is actually happening quite often) then its GG because Cruisers/BBs cant spot a smart DD anymore as he can just spot everything, torp from safety and get the caps because he is faster than the rest? Id say, thats quite boring. DDs are the most influential class (well, since 0.8.7 might be CVs again), they need a counter to their stealth. And if there is no CV around, then nothing can spot them. Good DD players are extremely hard to kill even with Radar. Other ships need to be careful about enemy DDs aswell, so i think its very fair that a DD needs to be careful about enemy radar Cruiser positioning.

Who says, thats an issue? There as enough people that say, its not an issue at all... what makes one side right here? WG reworked radar, arguably it wasnt a nerf but more like a change, so i guess they are fine with how it works? How about we get some Cruiser players in here who say, how BBs are destroying high tier gameplay Or BBs that say DDs are doing the same... Better ask for advice how to deal with it (or learn how to deal with it by yourself) that effort will yield much better results than hoping WG would rework it again.

I think you could get 25/50/100 of standard flags aswell? but at some point, they buffed it to 100 and 25/50/100 for those super special flags.

I think the best update would be one, that doesnt change anything at all... you know, if they dont change anything, cant get worse than before!

Also remember IFHE nerf incomming... Ill definetely buy something, but not sure yet which one

Well, i can comment from playing against them: DPS feels underwhelmingly bad. I guess if the CV likes to eat Flak bursts you can dispose of them quickly. But couple examples: Was playing Amagi vs Furious. He attacked me for the entire game, luckily their alpha damage is not that high and he didnt get lucky with dots. But i had like >50k plane damage with 16 planes shot down (i believe it was 16). Noone from my team got more plane kills so i think they escaped to safety because DPS was not enough to kill them in time. Yesterday played CM vs Ranger. Basicly he only attacked me once at the end of the game with rocket planes, Sector + DefAA shot down 4 planes, he hit me for 6600 damage - questionable imo With PEF in Ranked sprint i usually had good results against the CVs, shooting them down pretty comfortably. On the other hand, ive also seen players dispose of entire squads before they get a drop in, so that must be those who get hit by flak bursts

Id agree if Thunderer would be a Conqueror with 457s. But it isnt, its straight up better imo, so i think its ok. But i think they are throwing too much coal stuff at us at once...

who knows... today almost afternoon. And in the evening not even 10k. Pretty bad

You get 35k FreeXP if you have the 457s researched prior to 0.8.8. I think thats fair enough. Its very different from the Conqueror using the 457s, basicly a new ship. And you can use a normal -25% Coupon for Coal ships anyway if you want it cheaper.

Yeah, 5 BBs with 8-12 (accurate) guns certainly arent the reason why those Cruisers sit behind islands... oh wait. You want to blap Cruisers out of the water, for sure they try to not let that happen but use a tactic which will hurt you instead.

Which is more down to the russian BBs imo. I think without them, we would have seen more Kutuzovs which could melt those other BBs faster. And against a lot of DDs, the smoke is just bad since the smoke change. Stalingrad? Or were those noobs that played it when it got released Better than dealing no damage? Sure in randoms you have other targets aswell, so naturally Bourg is stronger there than in CBs. But where are the priorities? Its not that easy to balance ships for both Randoms and CBs. Bourgogne Strong in randoms, not good in CBs (CVs could actually change that). HIV is just very strong in CBs. Stalingrad certainly has its use in CBs, but i wouldnt say its as potent in Randoms as it used to. People know what it can do, so it feels rather boring to play. They rather show broadside to your entire team than to Stalingrad

Load HE -> 10k salvos -> Profit? Id say, you need properly use AP/HE with those French small caliber guns, to get the most out of them. The AP cant overmatch a lot, but if you get broadside, it hurts like a truck. And HE is quite good aswell + having 12 guns + reload booster + decent dispersion....

Yeah, smolensk if bad for the game (but not OP imo) but there are quite a few ships that are just bad for the game these days. Either we live with it - or we dont. That reminds me, 2h ago there were only 4800 players online on EU, which was kinda weird... Seems like a significant drop to what it used to be. Also, i think Kutuzov is stronger tier for tier. If you compare Kutu to other T8 Cruisers its very strong, while Smolensk isnt compared to TX Cruiser.

I think 2 reasons for that: - Its not Russian - Flamu didnt say its OP. Probably the 2nd one has a huge impact on that one. His little minions spread the word so you get huge shitstorms.

Yamato guns overmatch 32mm, while Kremlin doesnt - nuff said. Thats a unique feature and a very strong one ontop of that. If you meet a Kremlin bow on in your Yamato, you can penetrate it. Kremlin cant do the same to Yamato. Atleast Yamato has a Unique feature. Interesting logic right there. So ship is OP, because bad players fail in it while good players do good in it? Couldnt possibly be that the player is good to begin with... And ive seen players do better with Wooster compared to Smolensk, so Wooster more OP i guess If you want to prove that Smolensk is OP based on good players, then good players need to do better in it compared to other TX Cruisers. I guess every BB has better AA than Krons AA boosted with DefAA Well, musashi probably not ...

I think the worst apart about moving ships to the armor is, that you cant see the armor anymore in port like you can if they are in the techtree! Seems kinda mandatory to install a mod so you can see all ships in Techtree if you want to learn about armor and stuff which... clutters your techtree? WG just dumb

Only buy them when they are on discount. Just not long ago you could get them for 150 (have seen even less) Maybe they will be cheaper tomorrow? I expect some discounts aswell (maybe portslots/Modules/Premium consumables) and hopefully +200%? Id say if you play for a longtime you can get them. And if you manage to grab some free doubloons along the way. Have almost 120 port slots but i did get many with doubloons (which i got 4 free ) If you dont play frequently, i think you miss out on them/possibility to buy them with doubloons. And you used to get them more often in Credit Containers, but i believe they removed them. Just last month got one from a failed TYL container, so they might be in there again? (or chances are really slim, not sure)

If CV levels would rise again, more people would complain. People complain on lowtiers tho with the Hosho clubbers
