Thunderer is a much better ship than Conq with 457s
-
You dont have to, because Hood is a premium ship. He is fully functioning on Premiums without any specialisation Thats why, Premium ships dont need their own captain, you can use any. You can keep using him on Monarch aswell.

To take IFHE or Not to take IFHE? That is the question

Its 28mm actually 130mm / 6 *1,3 = 28,1 not rounded anymore -
Nothing announced atm. I assume you are talking about T9/10 here, as there are Coal DDs for lowertiers in the Armory. Maybe at some point, but it also took them quite a while to give us a FreeXP DD. I guess they need inflation on the currency to justify higher prices for DDs There are a couple of TX premium DDs in testing however, so maybe one of those is gonna be coal Hayate / Marceau / Paolo Emilio

Captains have to be trained for techtree ships (note here: you dont have to train them for Premium ships!) in order to get full use of their skills. If the captain is not fully trained, you only get half of the effect they are supposed to give (f.e. concealment expert 5% instead of 10%) and if the skill cant give half the benefit, then you dont get it at all (super intendent is one example). Example: If you have a captain trained for Kongo, and you move it over to Fuso, you need to retrain him. But it will also lose the specialisation for Kongo, so 1 captain can only be trained for 1 techtree ship. If you move the Kongo captain onto Musashi, you dont need to retrain him, and he also keeps the specialisation for Kongo. To the last question: Just put him on the ship, the game asks you, if you want to retrain him for free (needs more commander XP to fully retrain him) or pay 200.000 credits which gives 50% retraining, or 500 doubloons then he is trained right away. You can at any time use Elite commander XP to accelerate the retraining if you want to.

Dont want to sound negative, but im not sure if you will enjoy a T(9)/10 coal ship very much right now, since your highest silver ships are only T8. Even tho, a lot of people always whine about T8 MM being against T10 ships, but at T10 you really have to work for your wins (or in general to have a decent game and not die fast).

Just a visual bug. If they would have existed, the one would have actually hit him.

FDG got buffed too, but for this meta i dont think the buff was all that good. Izumo got more out of his buff (better accuracy / armor). For Tirpitz being bad its quite simply imo: Premium ship, so noobs have access to it. So many Tirpitz players with a few battles GK is a good ship, but maybe not so much with secondary build. Meta just doesnt fit Secondary specs on hightiers. Maybe FDG would be better with tank build aswell, which i didnt try back then. Was so frustrating i had to FreeXP it after 7 games. Overall FDG is probably still the worst because of the turret layout compared to its competition on T9. But i dont think the others are particulary bad...

Even if you claim i did that, doesnt mean that i actually did it. I sorted by avg damage for a reason Also: avg stats suggest german BBs are fine, since they arent last in WR. Even if they deal less damage, doesnt mean that they have less of an impact on the outcome of the game. So whats the problem then? A-Hull stats?
-
Sehales got asked in stream today, whats happening with the Slava, and they said, its basicly on hold right now... so who knows when we will see it actually. Guess we need some more powercreep to justify that OP boat
-
Thats why i sorted it by Damage? Only compared Bismarck WR to Amagi, becaues i lost a few games with Amagi simply because it doesnt feel that strong. Sure it can dish out nice damage sometimes, but overall it felt lackluster. Bismarck feels much the same, because the guns are so derpy. But Bismarck atleast has the tankiness. And in Bismarck i have atleast a meaningful amount of games played with... even "only" 2 man division, while most of the others are actually 3man division, which skews the WR in favor of the other ships.
-
Havent played significant amount of solo games in like 2+ years, so those stats are me being newbie (well except the 2 GK games which i did 1 year ago because of a horrible losing streak when i got that ship). Oh and btw, deliberately not showing the König i guess? and lets not forget: low battle count ontop of that, so WR is not a good measurement anyway. Or should we discuss why Fuso has the worst WR from them all?
-
GK is very tanky, not even Yamato can overmatch your bow. The downside is the large superstructure and the bad fireing angles. Thats why i run FP, because all those HE spammers target the superstructure anyway, and 1 fire doesnt hurt much. As for bad fireing angles... it helps if you wait till the other BB has shot, since BBs dont reload that fast. Have it for a year, as you can see, and majority of games ive played this year. And meta has been crap for atleast this year or even longer. If id present my Gneisenau/Bismarck stats id agree, since they are older. But i was also a less experienced player back then, so i think it evens out. GK focusing on mainguns and tanking is strong. Sometimes you cant get the win by just trying to kill the enemies by kiting, so you have to push in. And GK can do it. Well, Bismarck is a bit behind in my stats, but it was also my first T8 BB. I guess that has some influence^^ And WR isnt bad compared to Amagi f.e. For me it felt, Amagi struggles to carry anything because of its bad armor, especially in TX games. HE spammers smack you so hard The biggest issue i see is, low amount of guns (gneisenau) or having 50/50 firepower Front/back. NC/Vladi have 66% in the front, Richelieu even 100% in the front which makes it easier in certain situations.
-
I like my GK If you burn a lot, then you are playing secondary build, which is your choice... T7/8 works best for secondaries imo, dont like it on 9/10. Tank builds works better, and GK is certainly a strong ship.
-
Ofc best build is taking FP/BoS and not Vigliance or RL at all. But RL saves you less from getting torped compared to Vigilance imo. (or better yet: map awareness and keep an eye out where the enemy DDs are)
-
Stay with your DDs/Cruisers and Map awareness? Sounds nice in theory, but if you improve your gameplay its most likely not necessary. You get more value out of other skills, like FP. If you really fear torps, you could take Vigilance.
-
Sigma makes your shells go towards the center of the dispersion elipse. Better sigma = shells go towards the center more often. German/Italian/French BBs have the worst dispersion however.
-
Well, if you look at the other nations, then German ships are not worse off. US are basicly first overall if we also account for number of guns. IJN is basicly the same, except Yamato has best of all. UK all have 1.8 French have 1.8 / 1.6 / 2.0 but Alsace has 12 guns and Repu only 8 Russians have 1.7 / 1.7 / 1.9 So if german values are terrible, so are most of them actually? Only NC/Repu/Yamato have "better" sigma
-
Hmm, imo its not that bad actually. Bayern should be 2nd after QE (only talking silver ships now) On T7 Nagato/Colorado are best, followed by Gneisenau and KGV on T8 i think only NC has better sigma.

Slava
-
nope! Last thing i heard was, that they cant put resources into OPs so they are on hold for the time being
-
While i support your idea, just have to say: WG doesnt care about OPs right now. We were awaiting the return of those that got removed with 0.8.0, but it wont happen anytime soon. So just forget about it, as sad as this may sound...

https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Update_0.5.13 RN CLs got added 10/19/2016 "conveniently short memory" yeah, 3 years ago... so how about you tell me about the nerfs? "highly accurate" - same as all other Cruisers, but worse than IJN CA dispersion. And how about French CAs? Or German? They pretty much have the same range as russians, but are even less squishy So basicly 50% of the playerbase? Probably even more. And everyone gets torped, even the absolute best super unicums. YOu cant dodge every torp. Its making an arguement to fit your narrative which holds no truth to whats actually happening in game. If you cant torp a russian BB in a DD without being spotted, then the problem is with you, not with the BB. And they dont even have hydro or something else to spot torps, so much for that too. Any DD rushing a BB to torp him point blank range should actually fail to do so, because its just stupid.

No it really makes your AA weaker since 0.8.7... AFAIK its only better on ships with weak AA, atleast so i heard. Dont bother taking time to see if any AA skill is worth it - i guess they are all worthless now Basicly what happens if a plane enters your range: - If you reinforce your sector, you deal x% (forgot what it was.. 3,5?) of squad HP in damage to them. - Then for the duration of the reinforcement, your AA gets stronger till it reaches a certain point. If you skill MAA - You deal more damage instantly (was it double? - dont care really) - But now your AA doesnt get stronger over time. So if you have really low AA DPS, i guess you deal more damage by that first instantaneous hit.

Is Detection and firing ranges broken.

Well, its obviously only an issue with targets sitting above the waterline... which basicly only are forts in Operations at this point. I think this shows what i mean. If you can shoot at 16km waterline level, and you want to hit a target ABOVE the waterline, your shells would travel 1-2km further than possible.
