    wtf?! So he is not right about it? If people dont want to invest FreeXP, they have to grind it to get to the ships you say are so nice (repu f.e.). If everyone would only play the best ship, we might get rid of many ships right away.

    Smolensk is already overhyped, no need to make false claims Smolensk cant pen 32mm Dunno. So far it sits perfectly in line with all my T8 BBs, just in the middle of the pack (damage wise, cant judge WR for my T8 BBs because of small samplesize).

    Ive seen that aswell occasionally. And its super annoying. Even more so, if they run away from me perfectly angled, but show broadside to my remaining team

    Rich Bismarck NC Monarch Massa Amagi Richelieu might be everything, but its not inaccurate. Must be those quad-turrets, otherwise i cant explain it. And Bismarck having better hitrate, because it can get closer to the enemies without melting away.

    Easier if you show us some replays so we can tell you whats the biggest issue with your playstyle. Imo its quite easy: Since you only have frontturrets, you shouldnt feel the need to show too much broadside. And 32mm plating means, only Yamasushi can overmatch you. Ive had some mixed results (only played a few battles in it). First game was totaly weird, i pretty much got only overpens. After that it got better. But it feels very weird, longrange with very fast shells but only 380mm caliber so you will bounce on certain Cruisers. So you need to get into places where you can shoot broadsides. Speedboost does help with that.

    Postponed. And i for one think its good. That would have created an even bigger mess without solving any problems. You cant nerf half the cruisers to death because some have been balanced like crap. They just need to get rid of IFHE and balance DDs/CLs/CAs properly. BBs dont need to be immune to CL HE spam - that makes balacing between CAs <-> CLs only worse. Or if they dont want to get rid of IFHE, then IFHE needs to nerf the alpha damage of HE, and not the firechance. That would work much better, as you can direcly influence the damage output. Nerfing firechance will never feel right, as its based upon RNG. Even if they would cut the firechance in half, doesnt mean that you wont feel by receiving a couple of perma fires.

    I was literally at the same point (happened way earlier for me tho lol). I played 6 solo games on TX with Hindenburg, and that was basicly enough to end my solo career. That was the biggest throw ive ever seen in this game: 970 points 2 caps 10vs7 ships. Yep, they lost it. They started dieing 1by1 everytime we got back to 970 points. Why not just win? NOPE. Every ship roughly died after 30 secs rushing to the campers. Even our CV yoloed in at the end At some point, it also happened to 2x division: That was even back with RTS CV. I was playing Hosho, spotting DDs and torps. Did my team shoot DDs? Lol nope. Did they dodge SPOTTED torps? you wish Fine, i play 3x div only rarely you get those games which you cant carry (if it wasnt for TX were some teams just evaporate in 5 mins ) But currently, im not even blaming the playerbase for all the problems. Sure, there are some very special ones around, and they spam T10 nonstop 24/7 (or the other group which has <100 battles but own several hightier premiums). But WG is adding their own part to make it as unpleasant as it can be: CV Rework - basicly everything but BBs feels very much obsolete on T4-5, as they are the ones withstanding 2-3 CVs, while DDs and Cruisers get shafted. MM changes - T7 was my favorite tier, now its often against T8-9. Sure, T8+9 are a bit more pleasent, but thats entering hightier noob territory again which is kinda iffy. One TX game today pushed me over the edge again. Lobotomized monkeys would play better than my team. Why should i go there to take a dicerole and hope im not getting "those" players.

    Wait till i mention fat freddy Orion, QE and Monarch are quite nice. From the DDs i like Cossack. The ones before Jervis i didnt like much really. I guess Lightning and Jutland are also good. If it makes you feel better, Minotaur is probably my favorite ship in the game - with Radar that is.

    Voted US. I think, every class is solid, while not being OP or broken. DDs are mostly decent/good. Cruisers are very nice throughout. BBs are strong but still have a certain vulnerability. Would have voted UK just because of the Cruisers. But DDs/BBs dont cut it. Ive played German ships the most (by a rather small margin) but mostly because i started with german Cruisers, and played german BBs aswell. US/UK follow with 22% and 4th is IJN (mostly Takao).
  10. The situation is irrelevant to the abilities of the DoY. If you write "The AP is meh" then you basicly already disregard the use of AP regardless of the situation you face. The AP is not meh. Its very good against Cruisers, and not bad against BBs either. Sure it does struggle against T8-9 BBs (which T7 BB doesnt? Gneisenau/Scharnhorst are a bit better of thanks to their armor). If you think the AP is meh, then play KGV instead of DoY. KGV will always be the better HE ship, never can the DoY win because it has the slower reload. And i dont think it was obvious, otherwise you wouldnt think the AP is meh, because its better than on KGV. And about the fire: Well, cant tell since i wasnt there. But its always something you have to consider. Sometimes people keep shooting at the superstructure even if its on fire already. So you cant expect to get an accurate reading. However, every HE shell hitting a spot which is NOT on fire is even more unlikely.
  11. That was quite an effort to take 6 torps from that angle, not sure how he did that Fubuki has been lots of fun, not sure why. I just get to free farm BBs all the time, which doesnt happen in any other DD really

    Lately you are lucky if you dont get 2 CVs on T6 tho... i think every game T4-6 ive played lately had atleast 1 CV in it. No actually not true, 1 Leander game had no CV in it But quite often there were 2 T6 CVs aswell per side. And even 3 T4 CVs happened

    You have 4 T5 games (no T4 games at all) in the last 2,5 months. Clearly you know whats going on T4-5 in regards to CVs No wait, lets rephrase that: you have a grand total of 9! T4-5 games since CV rework in February Clearly you can tell others: Not every game has a CV in it, when you havent played down there at all...
  14. For me the most important thing would be, that you could do them in any gamemode... especially clanbattles. Because on CB days, playing even more to get daily missions done feels a bit too much. Dont really understand why they are restricted to Random/Coop/Operations. In regards to the poll: Well, they might drop them to T4 atleast. Not sure if you need it on T2/3, as you can grind past those tiers even as a newby before you get access to daily missions.

    ehm... that doesnt make sense. If you dont know the exact values, you could assume its wrong, while infact its working normaly. And then you even have bugged gamemechanics on top of that, to which WG says: "working as intended" because they cant/dont want to fix them. Still doesnt mean anyone is cheating, especially about damage they could deal.

    Guess so. If you reinforce your sector, 2 things happen: Your first tick will deal instant % based of the squadron HP. After that, your continous DPS starts to increase till it reaches it maximum for a few seconds. After that, cooldown starts. If you have MAA skill, you will deal MORE instant damage (think it was double), but your DPS doesnt get increased, thus you dont see red numbers. Just dont take that skill, its totaly useless.

    Thats how manual AA works now. You get more instant damage, but no more damage overtime. Basicly useless skill unless your AA DPS is very low. And then its rather questionable to invest 4 points for some crap like that.

    This is very true, and i feel this concerns german ships very often, especially BBs. Nowadays we have so many ships, surely there is one that fits your playstyle. Only very few people can make every ship work.

    I know, ive heard / seen (twitch) those things aswell Had a guy on twitch being 5 mins afk because he was busy with facebook. Why click into battle in the first place is beyond me. Wonder if they would act the same way playing a board game with people "hey its your turn" "im busy with facebook, give me 10 mins" Someone would probably hit them on the head with something for being such a [edited]

    If people are distracted, they shouldnt play a PvP game... You can do the things you mentioned, just do it in Coop then so you dont screw over your teammates. Or play another game altogether (singleplayer) if you are busy. Why would anyone watch TV and play a game at the same time is beyond me anyway

    Apparently, if a ship really was afk (basilcy has 0 XP) and you report it for being AFK, it _might_ do something... at some point? Dont think the other reports do anything. Or if they are supposed to do something, the threshold must be gigantic so noone would ever reach it. Even if, what should it do? Ban you from randoms?

    The main selling point would have been AA... and that got nerfed pretty much. You will shoot down planes, after they dropped you. Which doesnt help much does it? With old CVs, that would have still been a good trade. Now? No value at all. Other than that, it feels really lackluster imo.

    Buffing secondary range higher than concealment levels is not gonna help imo. - Secondaries must not aim at the belt, but every other part. On longrange or angled ships that does not matter much, but if you get a broadside BB/Cruiser closerange the damage is practically 0, which is utterly retarded. - Overhaul the captain skills. BFT/AFT is just a mess since AA changed. I think we would benefit from just seperating the 3 benefits AA / Secondaries / Mainguns. Either put them together into 4pt skills or make them 2(3)pt skills instead. AA skills are so useless, even if you give the advantage of both BFT/AFT in one skill it would not matter too much The benefit for secondaries is rather little for the amount of points you have to put it. So lowering the points necessary to run a secondary build would be a good option to be able to skill for survival skill aswell. Maingun benefits are strong - no doubt. Those could be seperate skills for RoF and range, but being 2-3 pt skills instead would be ok as you lose AA benefits. - Manual secondary skill needs an overhaul: If i dont select a target, secondaries should shoot without buffed dispersion. And if i select a target and both sides have targets in range, the opposite side should shoot aswell, again without dispersion buff. I rather have some meaningful changes, than to make them retardproof with 15km range...
