    There are basicly 2 problems: Either is OP, or UP. If you could damage the DD from every angle, it would be OP, because sAP is much stronger than HE (and even stronger than AP for that matter). But since they didnt do that, its UP because you can just rush it fully bow on and you cant do anything about it. Just dumb...
  2. I dont know if they made the others worse, atleast if i look at my own performance, it doesnt seem so. The problem ofc is, if one team gets "standard" T9 CAs, and the others get Krons/Alaska who are MUCH tankier than any other. A Kronshtadt will tank for its team, while a Seattle sits behind an island. And Kronshtadt even has the Alpha compared to Seattle. That being said: It should be possible to get decent results even with the older Cruisers. CAs just are in a bad spot in general, because CLs are quite strong, but not vulnerable enough against CAs. But the difference from CA -> BC is not the same really, especially the difference in reload is not big enough. F.e. ive been playing Buffalo recently, and it feels extremely strong. The problem with BCs is their low HE DPM. If they get broadsides, they can farm lots of damage, but they struggle against angled targets. CAs are better in that regard, even if their HE DPM is not that great either, atleast compared to CLs.

    Not sure either... Maybe it was just easier? Not only that, but as i said, a CV was absolutely essential to get a 5 star win in the hard mode last year. I dont know any good team that didnt take a CV. So im not even sure if its doable without a CV. Lets assume, 7 Superunicums can pull it off (which would be rediculous already) what about the Superhardmode? And that you can start those OPs with 4 guys must be some kind of cruel joke

    Atleast all others could theoratically kill it with AP overpens, as overpens still deal damage on saturated areas (this only shows, that pens dealing 0 damage is stupid, and actually should deal overpen damage regardless). But with RN CLs, this gets even worse, as they cant really overpen even BB superstructure. Normal AP has a bit more room for that.
  6. So this thought just popped into my mind, which actually would make sense imo. In CBs/Clan Brawl, you dont receive rewards if the game ends too early. Think its like 3,5 mins or so, which for Clan Brawl was a bit iffy. I think fastest game we had was 4 mins. If both teams play aggressive, it can end quite early. Why dont they do that for Randoms/Ranked aswell? 3,5 mins would be a start atleast, so people who just yolo suicide will think twice about it since they would lose even more money and wont gain XP. Rushing in and dieing is just griefing your team, regardless of why they do it (i play 4 fun, im lowtier, ...) I rather have people play a bit more cautious, than that i lose all my DDs 3 mins into the game If someone wants to object, that you can die early because of bad luck (deto f.e.): That shouldnt be a big problem, i think everyone can live with that if it happens once in a blue moon.

    Yep, thats exactly the problem. Not only do they gain more XP / time if they would play normaly, no, they also gain more XP than someone who has to play 15-20 mins and tries to win the game. I still need to record that one game, which is really rediculous: Playing 3 mins for 1000XP, and others get 500-1000 more and have to play up to 17 minutes

    It will be the excuse to add CVs to CBs: I dont think, 2 BBs will be good for CBs. Either way, they can just say that, and then put CV instead of 2nd BB in next CB season. Voila, CVs in CBs pushed through
  9. I guess there is an easy fix to this: Remove range mod from 6th slot for Smolensk. Other ships/Lines dont have access to all modules either, so not a big deal if Smolensk would lose it too. While i personaly wouldnt like it (i play with Range mod but without AFT), because i would need an extra captain to get AFT. On the other hand, i dont really like playing Smolensk anyway. I rather pick any other TX Cruiser now As i said before, i dont see Smolensk as being OP, its just annoying to play against. But it really doesnt need 19km range.

    Sure, but lets take Siroco/Jaguar as an example: I think Jaguar is pretty strong for its tier, and i def would prefer Siroco, if not only for the benefit of the captain because its a premium ship. But the HP is too low and torps are much worse, while having MBRB as a gimmick. Either torps on Jaguar are too good (most likely this) or too bad on Siroco. Having almost 5k more HP is already a huge advantage for Jaguar.

    Hill is worse than Nicholas Siroco is worse than Jaguar Genova is worse than Montecuccoli Go figure But if (premium) T-61 is better than (techtree) Gaede, community goes nuts. Guess it doesnt matter what WG is doing

    Because those players think they already know everything? They are the best players, but its everyone else's fault: Their team, MM, cheats, rigging... Not long ago, an Amagi in my team said, he cant do anything (TX MM) because TX BBs would citadel him from every angle. I told him, only Yamasushi can overmatch his armor. Answer: But they can :))) What you do with that? They know crap, but think they know everything. Oh and btw, there was only 1 TX BB in the match anyway

    Just now: Cleveland yolo suidicing into Kremlin, Salem, Smolensk, Wooster and NC, IMPALING!!! @ForlornSailor in his Gearing almost getting him spotted Thats teammates for you. And btw, that was on Sleeping Giant, while we had D Cap without a DD on that side. He could have gone into D, and farmed almost any ship from there. This. THIS so effing much. The other game from few days ago: 2 Ships from us die within 3 mins they went just YOLO. They got >900 XP. I had to play 17 mins to get 1700 XP. Thats absolutely rediculous. I had to play perfectly to carry their . Why??

    No, its actually pretty easy: Everyone should play to the best of his abilities, play for the team and for the objective i.e. to win the game. I dont think there can be an arguement, whether the goal of a random battle is to win or not (this is also mostly for @Egoleter ). It clearly states so if you start a game: Win by points/objectives or by killing all enemies. It doesnt say: earn 500XP (or anything else for that matter) Im not delusional, i can accept that not everyone can play on a highskill level. But there are literally people who can only be described as: playing against the team by doing what they are doing. Ive seen people deliberately kill themselves to make their team lose, how f***ed up can you be in the brain?! Others arent even trying. Ill record 3 players from that one game, and you tell my, how it is fun to "play" a game like that. And specifically to Egoleter: I totaly disagree with your football analogy. The people we are talking about, would basicly start taking the ball into their hands, run around with it, throw it into their own goal, even mocking their own team. And the worst part would be: the others HAVE to play with them, all the time, and it never ends. While 10m next to the football court would be a "special" place, where you could do that stuff alone where noone would care what you are doing with that ball. And if you tell that person, to go play there, he replies with "I play 4 fun, i do what i want". And this is simply wrong 1. CB seasons are limited to a few months per year, which is bad by itself, but they are also heavily restricted by time. Due to my work, i can often only play 2 days per week (if that) and thanks to WG, one of those 2 days we even have been struggling lately to get a team running, because everyone is fed up with this s**tshow. So how can i play this awesome teamplay mode f.e. RIGHT NOW? I cant, simple as that. 2. I can play CBs ONLY with people from my clan. I like to play with people from other clans aswell, ive been doing so all the time. Guess they arent allowed to be in their own Clan, or i have to go over there, but they might not even be playing CBs at all, or they arent in the same league even. Or if i would look for another clan, i might not even be able to play at all, because i cant play every time CBs are up. You are defending people playing randoms, while they could play Coop and it wouldnt change one bit for them. You say, they dont want to be competetive - fine by me. Then they should have absolutely no problem playing coop. Many missions are even easier done in Coop than in random battles, lets not forget that. The only ones are credit/XP missions, and lets face it: They scale heavily with your success in battle, the better you play, the more rewards you get.

    While it personaly wouldnt bother me, i dont see the usefulness of having Sigma displayed in port. Wait if average people could see, Stalingrad has 2,65 Sigma... (atleast could if they have mod enabled to show ships in techtree) Maybe some BBabies would cry aswell, how they have 1.5 sigma and Cruisers have 2.05

    Afterall, im not sure how many actually do it for that purpose. They might say that, but secretly they just wanna dominate other players because of broken mechanics (2 torps / literally no AA). Ive been playing a few games just see what it is like - and its absurd. True, but i was thinking about the time from 0.8.0 -> Hosho got 2 torps per drop. T4 CVs were nothing special, but i dont think they needed any buffs either. It was easy enough to show people the basics, rather low damage output, without the destraction of too much AA. Ofc we cant have that, make that crap OP so we can buff the CV player numbers. And then we go back 2 years when they removed Manual drop from lowtier CVs because of sealclubbing Just rediculous - nothing else.

    Its a fact that it makes part of the game worse. You cant argue against that. Its totaly stupid to play T4 now, the queue looks like this: 20~ / 5-6 / 2-4 / 3-6 Ofc you will see 3 CV games frequently that way. And Hosho or T4 CVs werent OP. People didnt intentially go sealclubbing before they had the glorious idea to give it double torp drop. And i dont see that the nerf will change anything, as its not lowering the damage output.

    If they play properly, they will get rewarded automatically? And much more than doing what they do, and ofc this includes sitting uselessly in a corner with a BB - not only yolo suiciding. How much more rewards does one need? First of all, the biggest reward is winning, because thats the main goal in a PvP game. And since we also need other stuff in this game, getting Credits/XP/FreeXP/CommanderXP/everything else is rewards aswell. I dont think, we should exclude players from lowtiers just because they have too many games. With the same reasoning, we could exclude players from hightiers if they dont have enough games. However, we could exclude 3x divisions from lowertiers. Lets be honest here, noone needs to play 3x division with OP boats on T3-4. No divisions for T1-2, and 2x division for T3-4 could be something which would be worth implementing.

    Dunno, maybe people are less useful in Murmansk because they snipe from maxrange? And cant hit anything? Good old PR padding Sure, but why give it Spotter ontop Marblehead would profit from it, while for Murmansk its rather useless because of the shell flighttime (not entirely, but sitting at 17km is really not necessary)

    Murmansk/Marblehead are one of my favourite ships Kinda sad that russian bias works here aswell, and Murmansk is just better than Omaha/Marblehead Nice boats Edinburgh a bit on the meeeh side. Maybe i could play her again with Radar this time
