Im not sure about that, lets go through the list: - German BBs: The problem is, ships like Bismarck and Tirpitz are well known. So people know them, and will play them simply for that reason. And then they have heard, you are supposed to play them with secondary spec, which is much harder to get right than a simple tankbuild. And german BB with tankbuild is very strong. But people want to play german BBs how they want them to play, which doesnt work. They should play another BB line which would suit that playstyle. We have enough options by now. But instead of doing that, they rather want buffs. - Russian Ships are all OP: I blame Flamu for this mostly, and all his little lemmings spread the word of Shipjesus. He really hates russia because he is from finland, i have no other explanation. And for Ships like Smolensk, people equate being unfun to play against with being OP, which is simply not true. Imo russian BBs are worse than ships like Smolensk and Stalingrad, because they have much more going for them. But people rather hate limited access ships, because they cant get them as easily. And there is a Steelship being more OP than Stalingrad, yet noone cares... - I cant carry my team: Well, 1 player is not supposed to win every game. - CVs are OP: Id say, CVs are totaly unbalanced by now, where bad players fail harder than before, while best CV players still do what they could do with RTS CVs (and probably even more than before). - Super containers: I think, it depends where you are coming from. For a new player, a SC is very nice. But for older players, a SC not containing any ship is often nothing that special. They expect to get a premium ship all the time, which will not happen. a SC is still MUCH better than any normal container tho. Even 100 flags which arent that great are still many more than you would normaly get. But 4 bad flags people dont complain about, but they do so for 100 flags. If you play long enough, you have tons of Flags and Camos, naturally it doesnt feel that special to get an extra bunch of those. -

Ive had bad luck with ships on others tiers aswell, IJN BBs in general seem to be some kinda crap magnet for me But TX is infested both with very good players (mostly divisions) and very bad players at the same time. So id say, you are more at the mercy of the MM, especially if you are not a very good player yourself. Cant really tell you more, because you got hidden stats and the other option is what @GarrusBrutus wrote about posting replays. -
So today in CBs, after i see a ship shooting and the shells just appear some time after, i managed to get a good few screenshots in to actually show the problem. I always marked the first shell which appeared in both screenshots. As you can see, both times the Smolensk already fired all its guns, but the Shells become visible some time after. I managed to actually hit the screenshotbutton right between the first turret / all others, when the first shell was visible for me. All others appeared at the same spot aswell. The next salvo - same thing. @MrConway @Crysantos You guys know anything about that? Do you need a replay or something to investigate this? I mean, its really annoying when i want to shoot ships in smoke, and the shells just appear randomly in the air. Sometimes, when ships are really close you dont see the shells at all.

You can fall below 40%, if the amount of games is small. If you get to ~100 battles, it should be indicative, if its you or just bad luck. Everyone has bad luck sometimes. But you have to know: Is it bad luck or am i playing badly? Ive had my ships also with bad luck, but i know, the teams were horrible and it will (or did) get better once i played a bit more. -

Ive heard, it seems to be the same way for AA tracers @El2aZeR ? Also, ive known that also others have this problem. But i wanted to get some screens first, so now i can check the replay and see, if its the same in the replay (it might not be!) So when i check it tomorrow, i can upload it and WG can have a look aswell. Because its just stupid this way... -

Got a funny one from todays CBs. I was passing the DM close by and left him standing with like 400 HP or so Atleast they took it with a funny note -
You need an exit strategy - always. If you keep that in mind, try to go as far as possible to spot for your team (or get a cap). Being spotted is not always bad, as long as you cant get shot at. Depending on what DD you play, you either want to spot the opponent DD (f.e. IJN DDs have good concealment) so your team can get rid of it, or if you are a gunboat DD, you want to actively fight the enemy DD. If you get rid of the enemy DD, you get freedom of movement. More or less atleast, because things like Radar and CVs exist. And sometimes losing a bit of your health isnt the end of the world, but dying is As long as you can outtrade the enemy DD, you should be good to go.

Well, people not slotting Modules are a detriment to their team. Maybe it should be mandatory to use them, because i know some, who basicly dont use any of them, because of credit shortness. I think, it would benefit the game if people couldnt play ships in Random/Ranked without modules, as they would be FORCED to use their credits their instead of rushing to TX. But thats a different story ofc. And i guess we want the same thing, i just think having more options is better than to have an option which is nerfing my ship somewhere else, or would be straightup bad, like the one example you gave: That would make SI basicly useless, because you would run into situations, where you cant use all your consumables anymore. Especially something like Repair party with a prolonged Cooldown could leave you dead more often than you would benefit of 2 extra heals. So you would shift the focus away from SI, and people would pick BFT or Vigilance instead, because it would be straightup better than SI. The Benefits must be, so all options are somewhat equally viable, and are down to the playstyle. Like, if BBs could use Rudder mod instead of Concealment, i think that could be a reasonable option. While they would be less vulnerable to torps, they would be more vulnerable to other BBs/Cruisers, as they cant go undetected as easily = depends how you like to play. -

So if you buff them to get equal damage than same tier BBs, that would make them OP, because they influence the game through tanking/pushing. If you increase the damage output, they have both things going for them -

I think that would be horrendously bad. You can see that with MBM2 in 3rd slot. Its literally useless, because you get a nerf to reload. What does that mean for ASM1? Its almost always superior because of the dispersion buff. Even ships, that dont need better dispersion (Cruisers) are better off with ASM1, even if they would benefit from faster turret traverse, like IJN CAs. But IJN CAs also suffer from slow reload, so an addtional +5% on reload is just too much, since you just dont constantly turn your turrets anyway. One could argue, if you would only gain faster turret traverse, it would be too good for BBs, but i dont agree with that either, because BBs profit the most from the dispersion buff. So even if people would take faster turret traverse, the tradeoff will be worse dispersion, which is ok. Modules/Captain skills dont need much tradeoffs, the tradeoff is picking one skill over another, especially if both give reasonably good buffs. Currently, we have either superior Modules/captain skills, or must-have picks like IFHE/CE. 5th slot modules are basicly the worst of all: BBs cant take Rudder mod, for whatever reason. So picking Concealment is the only logical option, because TASM is utter garbage. So, rudder mod is basicly for Cruisers only, but majority of them is still better off with Concealment (imo). It shows you, how upside down the view from WG is: BBs should pick Concealment, because they lack options, but Cruisers should pick Rudder mod. Which means, BBs would outspot Cruisers all the time, like its not worse enough if both having Concealment build. And 6th slot torpedo mod is just a slap in the face for DDs, nothing more to say to thats. Its rediculous. -

Captain skills could need a rework anyway, because its pretty dumb right now: Majority of BBs can just go with tankbuild which dont need any variation. A few BBs can take Secondary build, which again, leaves no room for options. CLs need tons of skills, and they could easily use double the amount of points. CAs on the other hand dont need anything really, and they could be played with 10 (Hindenburg would even need less, as every 3pt skill is not necessary). BCs are a bit like BBs, because they profit from tanking builds. DDs it really depend on the line, like hightier US DDs, but others not so much i guess. -

Yes, this, so much this. But i guess WGs business model is constant powercreep to get people grinding new lines. Ofc the issue is, this might spin out of control at some point, because it gets weirder with every new ship line. Like, what French "CLs" (aka DDs) can do to Cruisers is just bulls*** Speedboating with >50kts and reloadboosting everything to death. They have no issue citadelling Cruisers, which is kinda rediculous. If they actively dodge at 10km, you cant really hit them. Kleber needs to get BB AP pens, like Harugumo and Khaba for balancing purposes. -

WG could tell us that ofc, because they track the damage numbers by type? Sure, thats true. But i wonder how much you would notice this, because BBs are still most played class (and really many BBs seem to shoot HE lately which might "buff" the damage output because of fires). I guess the OP is neither right nor wrong. Its just game mechanics working against Repu. And his recent avg damage in repu is perfectly in line with his overall avg damage. -
Minotaur If the DD isnt already angled away, its basicly dead. Sure you can survive the Mino if you point your bow towards him, but then the rest of the team will kill the DD.

That doesnt make sense tho. If ships would die slower, the game would also run for a longer time, thus you get more time to deal damage, even if its with smaller portions at a time. Repu needs >70mm or armor to arm the shell. Most ships dont have that kinda armor when broadsiding, except at the Citadel. I guess, the 32mm armor of certain BBs isnt even thick enough even when angled to arm 431mm shells, before it would ricochet. -
Same here. Which is kinda weird, before they applied that small hotfix my game wouldnt end at all, i had to tab out every time and kill the wows.exe. Now the game "shuts" down, but wows.exe is still running, so i kill it afterwards

Can only repeat what ive always been saying: Best solution is, to remove IFHE completely and give every ship appropriate penetration, while balancing HE damage and firechance. Obviously WG doesnt like it, so the only way to balance IFHE is, to nerf the DAMAGE (and probably a small firechance nerf). If you deal less damage overall, you might not need to skill IFHE, because you have to choose: More damage to DDs/lightly armored ships/BB superstructure, or penetrate certain BB plating with less damage to everything. And its not like, we get more and more BB plating which can withstand small caliber Cruiser IFHE (german and russian BBs, midsection of hightier US/IJN BBs...) which basicly leaves us with most T6-7 BBs and French/UK BBs being vulnerable to IFHE and which is more important: certain CA plating, especially on TX. But seeing how this game gets more upside-down with every ship they release, i dont think there is any hope, that they will get it right. DDs outgunning CLs, CLs murdering CAs... -
I think its mostly this. Yet, ive seen DDs die getting proxy spotted by BBs Infact, this seems to be rather common for some reason. Biggest throws include, the side with the DD would win if he doesnt get spotted, some start to shoot the BB or Yolo it And for some reason it feels like, some players start a game, and they have no clue about spawns. They go straight into a Cap. If they dont spot anything, they just keep going deeper and deeper (why?) Suddenly, they spot several enemy ships close proximity, if one is a radar ship, they die. This could have been completely avoidable by NOT rushing deeper into the cap than they would need to actually cap it. But the problem is: This happens all the time. Ive always said it: Bad DD players dont need radar to die, they will die to anything. I guess this behaviour doesnt change, because they occasionally succeed with their stupidity, like torping a BB point blank range, because the enemy BB player is also a total potato.

It feels like its getting worse and worse tho. Literally >half of the BBs seem to run secondary build these days. They all shoot >8km Izumos, Musashis, Yamatos anyway but also US BBs (not only the secondary monsters) And then you get like 1/5~1/4 of BB population running SE... yeah, no wonder they burn like dry wood in a hot day in the Sahara.

You do know they only burn for 5 seconds? Not to mention DCP lasts 1 minute With that in mind, i really dont know what kinda CV apologist did that balancing. I kinda wanna write something else here, but that would get me banned

How can i put this nicely? No, the problem is with you, not with CVs. CVs are actually totaly Overpowered, even T8 against TX ships if played correctly. That means, the potential is there, but many players somehow are not able to do it. So they are still OP if played by people like @El2aZeR but at the same time, bad players are even more useless than before the rework. 10/10 rework success. Also if the options are, to buff CVs further because players cant perform, then lets outright remove them, otherwise you could just aswell remove surface ships from the game. -
