    Smoke does literally nothing for game influence. Radar Mino has much more game influence than Smoke Mino, thats why, Wooster also wins more games than Smolensk. Thats actually a common misconception. It loses speed at range, which makes it more like DM shell speed IIRC. Smol vs DM at ~16km. Smol is 0,3secs faster... not a big deal. Used some YT vids, that was faster to show it myself in a training room
  5. Its for those people, that already have the normal ship, so you get a small compensation for getting a duplicate ship. Not the other way around.

    Imo they dont, if the target is straightlining, and has been doing it before you launched the torps. But if the ship (like a BB) is still speeding up after it maneuvered, sure you will miss more likely with slower torps.

    Torped an Aigle once with my Marblehead - he even took more than 1 I had <2k HP, he didnt shoot me, tried to torp, he had full health. He died ofc

    If they are really deactivated: Activate them and play some more. We cant guess what happened in those games from looking at screenshots. You might aswell be sitting in smoke with your DD, farming BBs, we dont know that. alltho i think its kinda weird, that you survived as often while losing all your games. Especially as a DD in a CV game...

    Lets put it like this: Do you think, Secondary build is effective every game you play / do you need to put yourself into trouble just so you can use your secondaries? With a tankbuild, i basicly have a use from it every game (more so from the better dispersion mod in 3rd slot compared to secondary mod). I dont need to be afraid, that i get unlucky with fires, as majority of players keep farming the superstructure for damage. I get only 1 fire there, so thats a huge bonus imo. Often its more accidental, that you get a fire on the bow/aft, can be from BB shooting HE, or a Cruiser not leading properly / being bow on to the HE spammer. But most people want to his the superstructure: Its easy to hit, and it deals damage. If you want, you can ignore the WR, as its division play. This is 3x Div, almost all games full tank build I do have a few games in 2x division with semi-secondary build where i roughly have the same damage as you (102k) and slightly less avg kills (0,91) but only like 10 games. When i went from secondary build to Tankbuild, it was like day and night to me. I finaly felt, that i could do something to turn the game. While playing with Secondaries, i felt that i need my team to do something first. While playing Tankbuild, i was the one doing something and only hope, my team would cash in on it (most of the time my division ofc, so its less of an issue )

    Well my conclusion is this: - You might win some matches, where you could be less effective (ineffective) till the late game, and for some reason need to go in to clutch the win. Mopping up targets in an already won game is not effective. - On the other hand, you will lose many more matches, because you cant go closer/cant push/have to retreat because you are getting HE farmed. You lose map control, and will lose the game eventually. Its too situational to make it sound good. Basicly, its using pre-defined circumstances to warrant the use of a secondary build, which happens like once every 20 matches (if that). I had a bad time playing secondary GK, because i was forced to be useless till it was too late, or we already won and it didnt matter anyway. Might look nice and maybe is fun to play, but imo its not nearly as effective as a tankbuild (even less so for Yamato). Playing tank GK, i can be usefull when i need to be, and i can survive long enough to make the difference.
  11. Not long ago when i was playing Buffalo, knew a DD was behind the island, even saw how he was standing there. I was thinking: Just go straight, he couldnt have torp angles on you... *eats 3 torps*

    Stalingrad HIV Minotaur (Radar) I guess if you are good at blindshooting, you could try Hindenburg with spotter plane, but im not sure about that one. But it works against Minos, so maybe And best counter: CV Or try loading HE in BB (except Monty, unless you have IFHE )

"shouldnt" happen, but i only have Conqs 457s penetration data (guess its the same as Thunderer tho?), which is like 770+mm at 5km range. I wouldnt use any german ship to citadel anything. played Stalingrad in CBs, parked almost Broadside to a Hindenburg at 10km, because i knew, he cant citadel me. He switched to HE at some point On the other hand, i citadelled Kremlins with my Stalingrad at 9ish km i believe... several times in one salvo. Need russian bias to kill russian bias Bismarck has less pen than Stalingrad so... AND worse impact angle

    Yamatos Secondaries only pen 20 / 25mm or armor, while GK has 31 / 37mm (depending on the caliber). So under no circumstances, the small caliber guns will deal reliable damage, even if you specc for IFHE. Basicly, you can buff the penetration to 27mm which will only hurt Cruisers. The big guns can pen BB plating then. Not sure, if using all your points for AFT/IFHE/M-Sec is a worthwhile investment on TX Also, IJN BBs get "worse" (compared to others) dispersion the closer you get. So basicly you shoot your own foot by going into secondary range.

    When your team does this on Mountain Range, it doesnt matter if they all spawn at C or not They run from A to C, leave the flank open, game is lost by the 10 minute mark. So let them Spawn at C. MAAAYBE they can force their way through with more ships being there (or its lost either way). But instead, guys at A are useless for 5+ minutes because they are cruising over from A. The green part is our division trying to get crossfire from the center and take B. Well, wasnt enough either way. Enemies at A just moved full through and shot our broadsides. It doesnt matter where people spawn - they choose to be useless. But going on the opposite flank, which takes 5 minutes, is worse than just spawning there in the first place. Russian Cruiser center spawn on Hotspot. I dont know how many Donskois/Moskvas ive blapped there

    The best thing would be: Just have a spawnzone where you can decide WHERE you wanna spawn yourself! This would be much better from so many angles: - Divisions could choose to NOT spawn on one place (like 3x DDs or BBs) - DDs arent mirrored, so CVs cant know where the DD exactly spawned (mostly an issue for 1 DD games) - Some people go to the same cap every time - instead of them being useless because they spawned on the other side, let them spawn closer to where they want to go. - Occasionally you have those weird spawns (often coop tho) where you are alone on one flank, or very far from your next teammate. That was a big issue on Land of fire, atleast they somewhat fixed that. One BB often spawned alone in the corner, and if you had a CV in game, he could just kill that BB without any trouble.
