Win bonus is irrelevant: every ship gets it?! Premium account is also irrelevant, as i pointed out above. There is no reason to think, CV players use more/less premium account than other class players. That would imply, people that only play one class (sure they do exist) would use more/less premium than people, who play every class. I didnt say i agree the way he used XP to showcase anything, but you know, you can look at every ship individually and how much XP they gain? Internal modifiers: Either they gain more just for no reason, or they get more XP because of their ability (killing DDs, decapping) If they gain more XP just because they are CVs, then its already wrong in itself. (apparently this was a thing till they nerfed XP for certain CVs, see below). Did they say that or did you just made that up? Because, the XP nerf mostly hit TX CVs. And there is not much grinding going on at TX... And the reason to nerf TX CVs was, that they dont get to keep their star in ranked more often than other classes for doig the same combat performance. quote from patch notes:

Ofc you can use it. Unless you wanna say, for some reason CV players are using premium account more or less often than other class players (which really doesnt make much sense). Imo in this type of game, having 60-70%+ survivability is the actualy root of the problem. No ship/class should have more than ~40% survivability, as it gives the feeling of being cheated. It just means, that ship/class cant be touched the same way as others. And ontop of that, it will attract those certain players, who seem to die inside if they get killed in a game...

Well, i think, Massa is one of those premiums that need a dedicated captain on their own (unless you just play Massa like a standard BB). I prefer SI over BFT. -

Im uploading a Radar Mino game from not long ago. Maybe it helps, but you gotta look closely about angling and stuff. Most players are greedy and go for your citadel, you can abuse that. And since basicly everyone is shooting into smokes, i prefer playing Radar. It doesnt feel as helpless as sitting in smoke. And once you get rid of the DDs, you can do whatever you want pretty much. Will post the video when its uploaded to YT.

Saturation is not 100 or 0 tho. You get half damage usually a lot faster, which helps aswell.

Wouldnt be a bad move at all Or as i said in another thread, they should make a campaign/scenario for T4 CVs, which increases in difficulty. Sealclubbing is a thing of the past, and people can easily learn the basics of CV play. Win-Win.

The numbers suggest, there arent more CVs / less surface ship players - but for some reason this doesnt add up what we experience in game. Literally every game has a CV in it, queue is full of CVs all the time aswell, and WG told us, majority of T9 games doesnt have a CV in it (didnt work either btw, every game had still a CV in it last i played) Well i mean, one explanation is, that we actually have less surfaceship players overall, but the ones that do play, just play more. Naturally, they cant be in multiple games at the same time.

Same caliber, different damage?

No 150mm gun has a max damage of 10.000 Yes, there are slightly different damage values for balancing purposes, but it certainly is not as much as you think it is. Like Bogatyr on T3 has 2100/2700 (HE/AP) and Wooster on TX has 2200/3200 (HE/AP). HE is literally the same. AP is a bit more. -
Yamato has the same cheek in the back tho Just not as accessable as the front one (because the bow is shaped like that) but even at an angle, you can get through the 32mm plating to the not-angled cheek.

The only way to draw fire in a BB, is to get the enemy to think they can citadel (or heavily punish) you. You gotta be able to angle in enough to migitate the damage tho. And even that might not work for more than 1 or 2 shots. Very rarely you seem to get those players these days, that keep shooting your bow for basicly no damage. But if you have a Cruiser/DD being just stupid like sitting still full broadside, then they dont have to wonder if they get shot at.

Normaly you shouldnt use the Coupon for a cheap ship like that. We only get Ship coupons twice a year. But seeing as we get a new coupon in 3 weeks, i guess you could do it if you cant get another Steel/Coal ship till then.

Ofc it gets saturated. And as i said: Other BBs have less armor so they take more damage on other parts aswell. Colbert and Smolensk are the exception, as they dont get 32mm of penetration. That wasnt even nearly enough to get me killed, and thats a division of 2 Smolensk. I had like 40-50k~ HP, but then i got crossfired by another GK and Kremlin and basicly died within 2 salvos.

GK is nothing you say it is. Well, except the guns maybe (and the brawling stuff), but i feel that Montana is somehow more trollish than GK. The salvo looks good, but can be utter crap in the end. While GK salvos often look worse, but still get couple of citadels. But how can it get farmed by HE? The armor shatters most of the cruiser HE. While german BBs (T7+) tend to take tons of damage from smaller caliber AP in the superstructure, it drops down pretty quickly due to damage saturation. Compared to UK/French BBs, which can get farmed all over the place because of their armor. Thats what a minotaur closerange does to a Thunderer within 1! reload of his mainguns. I mean, we have many different lines these days. Not every of those is necessarily working for everyone. If it doesnt fit your playstyle - try another.

This. When you are losing >200k damage games it really starts to get frustrating. Funnily enough, dealing 200k damage in a BB ends up in a win most of the time, while getting 200k in a Cruiser ive actually lost more often... feels bad man

Maybe T4 CVs would be better off in some kinda Tutorial/Scenario over couple of stages with increasing difficult so you get to learn the basics. Then T6 would be the first "real" CVs to be played, and we dont have that shitty CVs farming no-AA ships like we have now.

Only thing you can overpen at the GK is the Superstructure and the Bow/aft. The entire midsection is so heavily armored, every shell arms, and the ship is ofc fat enough to make every shell detonate in time. Armor works perfectly fine. You want to keep moving and angling most of the time, unless you can shoot to the other side while keeping your bow towards the enemies ahead of you, then you can also slow down.

You need to get fairly close with the Sinop. The upside is, you can literally sit bow on and the enemies will struggle to deal damage to you. If you show site, you will get citadelled easier than most other BBs. -

Your team can do something against the DM, but your team cant do anything to prevent a CV from striking you. Thats already a huge difference. Also, Cruisers are balanced around having Radar. Or how about this: Whats the downside of TRB on Asashio? It has no downside, its extra. Or MBRB for French DDs? just extra... no downsides attached to it. -

Well i mean, if CLs can only properly damage BBs anymore, they are better off shooting other Cruisers. The biggest problem i see in CL <-> CA balance is, that CLs literally always beat CAs because of the better DPM. The tradeoff for IFHE must be: Lower Alpha damage. Only then can CAs beat CLs in direct combat, because IFHE would nerf the DPM of CLs. And thats the only tradeoff that makes sense. Either i want to penetrate certain ships (DDs/Cruiser) with higher alpha damage, or i take IFHE to pen every ship (inlcuding BBs) but in return, i get less Alpha damage. -

What i read is: Cruiser peasants should fight each other, while glorious BB masterrace stays untouched. They can just pick, which one of the Cruisers they want to kill while watching from the sideline. T6-7 Cruisers in lowtier battles cant touch BBs, but they still need IFHE to touch sametier BBs. If they dont pick IFHE, they can only damage Cruisers. So regardless what you skill, you will only want to fight Cruisers! Glorious! May i add, lets remove all AA from Cruisers too? So those pesky planes stop bothering our sluggish BB friends? They shouldnt get touched unappropriotaly by planes!- 145 replies

FP limits superstructure fires to 1 (guess that was a typo from you), so you get maximal 3 fires worst case. But as i said, majority of players keep shooting your superstructure, so you are pretty safe from getting too many permafires.

Just one page ago i showed, that Smolensk longrange shell velocity is basicly the same as DMs. And unless i missed something, DM shells arent fast. Im not disagreeing with the rest, but it doesnt even have the fast shell velocity at longrange
