Because he is german? And enough germans in the game to throw at WG? Coal is already obtainable by using money (atleast somewhat). I wouldnt wonder at all, if we get more means to "buy" Coal next year

People tend to forget, that you have to compare what the enemies get for a ship if you take Alaska or PR. Alaska is matched against Seattle or Roon. While PR is matched against much stronger TX ships. Alaska on T9 is on the strong side compared to other T9 Cruisers. PR not really.

And now compare that to engagements between surface ships. There are a lot of things which i can do myself, to beat my opponent. If the CV player has sufficient skill, he will win every engagement, no doubts whatsoever. And thats clearly wrong. And this is not only about shooting down planes doing literally nothing to harm the CV. CVs are also as fast as Cruisers/BBs (some case even faster). They are immune to fires. TX CVs are basicly immune to mid-longrange Fire both HE and AP. Midway probably the tankiest ship in game when angled. And they cant detonate. I guess its ok for them to be immune to Cruisers. But Cruisers cant be immune to CVs. Talking TX CVs here.

What does trying to play the game have to do with doing missions? Dont think you got the point here....

Was clear once i saw the directives. This still doesnt mean, they could have communicated this whole thing differently. The way they did it, they dont have to wonder that the community is hating on them. I think it was utterly stupid. But i guess, lying works better for the playerbase so they can milk more money

Then i dont understand what you mean with grinding? For me grinding means, you gather XP to unlock the next ship. I assume you mean, you keep playing one ship back to back games, compared to playing them occasionally.

Free? Yes they said it. Easy? No. But it should be reasonable. The grind 4 free is not reasonable. Its designed, so you fall into a trap. First, spend couple of k doubloons for the boosters right away, since the earlier you activate them, the more you get out of it. Then realize at some point, you cant or didnt make it. Then spend more money, otherwise the money you already spend would have been wasted. Thats the problem here. Its clear what WG wants here: Spend money, do some grinding, spend more money. At the same time, the main advertisement we have been hearing "get Puerto Rico 4 free" (which actually might be impossible, only possible in theory). They might have aswell designed this entire thing differently, make a reasonable grind and the more you can grind, the cheaper it gets, till a minimum amount you have to spend.

Easy fix? Slash every mission in half, but add "in a victorious battle" as a requirement. Problem solved. Atleast somewhat. Why get 100 kills f.e.? Make it 50 but it only counts when you win. Those killstealers might see, their "tactic" doesnt get them very far

The newer player / the less games you have, the more valuable is stuff like FXP/Camos/Signals. But lately, if you are going for the mainprice in WGs events, you get shittons of Camos/signals anyway.

After playing this long, some things just seem to be "less usefull" than others. And Coal is most important right now since WG is throwing 1 highpriced Coal item after the other at us. Im not really interested in those current FreeXP ships (alltho i probably get Friesland for some extra steel and its a bit unique), and im pretty slow with grinding anyway. Camos are probably the most useless for me, i think i got like 1500 or so Same with Flags, except those special ones and the 3 XP economic signals.

If you press alt+f4 and shut down your PC at the same time while in game, you unlock all premium ships. I dont have proof tho, just take my word for it You make a false claim and you refuse to show any proof whatsoever to back it up. Ontop of that, you make suggestions where you got told, they are bad for the game, and inturn you start to insult others. 10/10 social skills. A couple of people with like 30k battles combined tell you "what you are saying DOES NOT HAPPEN" and you respond with "nah you are wrong", but expect WG to change something. WG knows this doesnt happen aswell. So if you want WG to change something, better start making some screenshots where it happens what you are claiming.

I also liked the CV rework couple of decades ago that aside, we only had Snow Flakes for 1 year. But in that year, we had several types of them. The biggest downside for me were the Santas crates for TX. They are actually worse than giving me Steel (or even Coal for that matter) got mostly FreeXP, which is pretty useless... Other than that, its still ok imo. Getting Steel/Coal for playing 1 Coop - could be worse.

If those 2, id take Massa. Imo Alabama is too much of a NC, so its not really "special". Massa is much more unique because of the secondaries. But you also have to play secondary build with it (kinda, otherwise doesnt make much sense getting it). That also means a dedicated captain for it pretty much.

Everyone getting this ship should consider, WG is probably laughing about you Initially, i would have actually wanted to do it. Then i saw, that "4 free" means playing 24/7 for one month, which is simply not possible. Dockyard would have been such a nice thing, but they totaly fucked it up. And the PR grind in itself is just like that, so either you spend money right away (for boosters) then you realize, hey i still didnt get it, and they you pay the rest in the end because otherwise you payed for nothing. Must be the greediest thing ive ever seen in my life. Ill collect the snowflakes, do Gorizia (thats atleast possible in 1 month) and thats probably it? Oh yeah, the thingy for the 4 T6 ships once i get gorizia.

So apparently, i might have discovered a new thing here. Just been watching a streamer, and the enemy Indianapolis yoloed center of the map, dying in like 2 minutes. At first i thought, well this guy did it because he was lowtier in a T9 game. But when i checked the profile, i actually remembered him, and i checked him before for doing the same stuff. With certain ships, he plays normaly, but then there are Indianapolis, Loyang and Graf Spee with combined almost 10k battles and abysmal WR/damage/kills. And the only reason to do is, seems to be farming credits (not sure if its for directive hall of fame tho). I dont think he is botting tho. If i check the progress on wows.numbers, the amount of battles in those ships on a daily basis is not more than others. But every day, he has a couple of games in those ships. And i just saw: this is not playing. For some reason, he is doing it. At the same time, he also has games in other ships, and he is performing very well! last week or compared to Perth (overall, but indi stats are basicly the same overall like the above shows) So what is this? What purpose? (Credit farming / Directive hall of fame?) Its not botting - thats pretty sure. But he is doing it all the time, so i dont think its for the Hall of fame either... So i can only guess its credit farming?! Does WG care? @MrConway @Crysantos I can send the video from stream if you wanna see it. But i dont think, this should be acceptable, just ruining the game of 11 teammates. Funnily enough, kept watching the same game, seemed to be a Bot Gneisenau on the enemy team aswell. Not moving untill spotted / shot at. Then started moving = perfect bot behaviour.

Its not a trap, its the truth. Nothing you can do is able to counter the strike of the enemy CV. With sufficient CV skill, he can adjust to your supposed counter and hit you regardless. If a DD is dodging, hitting him is still entirely possible. DD can even smoke up, and its still possible to hit him. Ships can spawn fighters, you can outplay those in several ways Ships can steer, your planes are more maneuverable. Ships can blob up - you can still strike them Any counter you want to share with us which is supposed to be able to beat the enemy CV by skill?
