The amount of people that cant grasp that... they wont bother with anything else either. oh yeah, somewhat fair games - thats boring. That was one of the BEST changes ever, that unbalanced tiers and classes was removed from this game. Still remember those games, where our team had 4BB/4CA/4DD and enemies had 5BB/2CA/5DD. Those odds are heavily in favor of the latter btw. Having other than 12vs12 games could be something interesting tho...

CA AP on CL - overpens through citadel or not?

Still not entirely sure how to fix this tho... albeit, there is one thing that would fix this: Give CAs Stalingrad level of fuse delay (0,022 instead of 0,033). Stalingrad can reliably citadel Smolensk at <2km, so that should solve all issues. As CAs fighting BBs: I dont think that would make a huge difference, because CAs can hardly citadel (maybe luck) any BB with a hidden citadel (like French). All Citadels located on the outside (UK f.e.) are still accesable even with a shorter fuse delay. ANd we all know, Stalingrad has no issue citadelling BBs -
Wind speed and direction - nerfing CVs indirectly

I think that would be more frustrating than actually helpful. Lets look at this f.e.: - Static Wind direction If it blows in the same direction as ships face each other, one CV could start planes moving forward, while the other has to turn around but faces the map border pretty quick. Unless for some reason, wind direction changes if you cross half of the map (which would bring up many other problems) So lets assume, wind speed always blows from side to side Even if surface ships couldnt see the direction of the wind, they could immediately see it based on which way their CV has to move in order to start planes. This naturally tells me, where the enemy CV must be heading too aswell. What happens if they hit the border? Well, guess he would need to turn around and start a new run = pretty frustrating. Not to mention, not being able to control your hull properly while flying is a huge problem (and autopilot working the way it does...) Id rather go at this from a different point: CVs are hard to deal with, especially if only a couple of ships are alive, and the CV can kite away from you. They are as fast as all other ships, so you can hardly catch them, and they constantly make you dodge because of the attack frequency. Id rather have CVs not being able to start planes while moving fullspeed, so they can choose if they run away, or start planes. This might also decrease CV survivability, because right now, its way too high which also causes toxicity. Sure you could look at this from the other side aswell, and say, CVs have to move in order to start planes, which would mean, CVs have to move, making island camping harder. But as it stands: WG seems to be busy with subs, and changes to CVs are highly unlikely. -

203mm AP can damage forts way earlier than 7km.Should almost be possible from maxrange, but i think with 13km you are definetely good to go. I have gotten citadelled by them, but a long time ago. Might be, that they werent exclusively shooting HE back then, thats why it was possible. As i said: You can just shoot AP with almost similar results you would get with SAP too. As to why SAP wont deal any damage... thats a good question. The forts must have some interesting armor scheme, as HE can always damage them, but AP needs ~130mm of pen. Thats probably why SAP doesnt work, as it lacks the pen. And HE works because... they made it like that? -
Yeah, havent had one in 3 month aswell, so... not sure whats up with that.

Is Gorizia one of the worst ships in game at her tier?

I think Gorizia is garbage in Narai (since there are no other T7 OPs currently). One of my worst games ever, one match i only got 116k damage. Even in DDs i manage 200k because of torps. Worst reload + no torps. Probably equal to Indianapolis in that regard. Definetely not something you should want to pick in Narai.- 39 replies

Montecuccoli seems ok-ish imo. Just wreck DDs, after that it gets a bit boring. Gorizia on the other hand seems to be utter garbage. Played it in Narai, literally worst results ive ever had. The AP only overpens and the dispersion seems totaly different to SAP dispersion !? Shooting SAP = hits everything. Shooting AP = shells go everywhere, and if they hit = overpen as mentioned before. I think the biggest problems are dreadnoughts with their armor scheme. You cant pen them reliably, while hightier BBs are much softer. You can easily pen them with SAP and get huge damage numbers.

Well so put Gorizia in the Dockyard. This was about the Dockyard - not whether you get Gorizia or PR 4free. The Dockyard had little use to me: I could collect rewards. And see a ship being build which i wouldnt get. So has no real use to me. Would be nice if i can see the ship being build and actually receive it Understood now?

So lets sum this up: - I would be more happy with the Dockyard if it would be for me (or actually majority of the playerbase) and not just something which you go to so you can collect some rewards. - You would be less happy, because you cant buy a TX ship. Which is totaly fine in my book, if you want to spend 300€ for a ship - be my guest. Apparently, not enough ships you can buy for money in this game already. Not to mention, you are asking for p2w "get something better, than f2p players". Btw, PR is not even special. - Also you: start to insult me. Ok....

Which is like 99% of the playerbase. Speaking F2P here, not that you could invest 24k dubs + Gorizia and do it for that amount of money in a reasonable grind.

Yes, ive succesfully done so with Musashi on enemy Yamato at ~18km. He was perfectly "angled" to hit the backcheek and got it on first shot. Its not all skill ofc, but also lots of luck and RNG. But if you aim right, you will get it atleast sometimes. Hitting the front cheek is much easier, as the bow is shaped in a way thats easy to hit it. If it shows broadside, ofc you go for broadside citadel - not the cheek. IMO you dont need to aim that low with Yamato, as the Citadel extends above Waterline. I always tend to shoot a bit higher than with other ships because of that. But not that much, you can just aim at waterline.

Funnily enough, ive had MUCH greater success with Fubuki compared to Hatsu... then again, its 99% small sample size. With Fubuki, enemy BBs kept snacking my torps, while with Hatsu they always dodged them

Well, unless its a German or Radar DD you can always smoke up while running away if he catches you. If you smoke at the right place, your team might keep vision of him so you can start shooting yourself aswell.

1. You can always try to predict movement of the enemy and throw torps accordingly. Especially since you have more than 1 launcher, you can cover a larger area with torps. Devstriking BBs while throwing all torps on one spot is not something you can always achieve. Sometimes yes, most of the time not. Its hard to get away from that mentality, but couple of torp hits is not bad either. 2. Well, thats not really true. Just dont smoke up and sit still, while Radar Cruisers move up on you unspotted. Best thing is to just learn the positions where Radar ships usually sit, or better yet, start playing Radar ships yourself to see the disadvantages (if you havent done that) 3. True, CVs are horribly broken against DDs. Luckily, your average CV player struggles with even finding DDs. Dont make it too obivous which way you are going 4. You can outspot almost all other DDs. And if enemy DD is hurt, you definetely can finish him. IJN HE is no joke, it hurts much more than others. 5. I worry about subs when they enter randoms - the day i definetely quit WoWs (especially what they have done now in the last version...) 6. You have to ignore that. Capping against all those above is still possible, you need to know how to do it tho. 7. Is that different from any other DD? Most other DDs have worse air detection (easier to hit by CV). Radar is good against all DDs, except you are an open water gunboat then it doesnt matter as much. Being in hydro range is the worst thing that can happen. That means you fucked up hard. 8. Literally worst DD players play Shima because has 20km torps... And oldest line so most people have it aswell, naturally, it has bad stats. Shima can be strong if played right - most people cant do it tho. YOu have to decide yourself if you are able to do it. Like 90% of shima players on my team dont even have SE 9. Please no... Subs with homing torps are horrendously broken, DDs with homing torps would be even worse. And radar will never be LoS, WG tested it and luckily they didnt go through with it. It causes more problems than it would solve.

Yes, 113mm guns cant pen 19mm plating without IFHE (this is what most hightier DDs have, Gearing has midsection of 21mm, Khaba has even more overall). So either shoot AP, or specc IFHE.

Id rather have them do some work on the Signals: Demount button built in game, not only mods And id like to have premade Signal batches, f.e. i want to mount signals for my BB, so i can select the 5-6 i always use while playing BB. I think that would make more sense than the Commander thing. For me, its not a big deal. Yes, a bit annoying, but there are only a couple of ships that i use same captains on. Might ofc be, because i dont have THAT many premium ships
